Theorizing About The SM6 Character Teaser

So for those who don't know, this post teasing 3 new characters was posted to the SM patreon la while back.

As non-patrons, myself and @crossover-enthusiast have discussed this a bit and I have some ideas on these folks

Character A, the and one the left is described as "the boss of a he-", I can't be sure but I think this is implying that this guy runs either a new or established business, my current leading theory is Gonuts, since we already know that Rick will be working there in the coming episode.

Character B is the one I've seen the least discussion about. Given that Patty and the morgue are both confirmed to be relevant to the main plot and how similar to Patty this character's silhouette is, I'm willing to bet this is another mortician/pathologist. Whether they'll be a major character or only appear briefly, I can't say.

And lastly, Character C is all but confirmed to be a cat lady (see the patreon post showing the designs for a bunch of cats and the spoiler collage). The thing that really stuck out to me though is this:

Theorizing About The SM6 Character Teaser

The cat post mentioned earlier has what's clearly a picture of Dexter in the preview, it appears to be either a framed photo or a picture on a carton of milk. This might be nothing, but the more I think about it, the more likely it seems to me that this woman will eventually be revealed to be Dexter's mother.

I hope my fellow non-patrons enjoyed this and the patrons got a laugh out of how wrong something I said here is.

The fact that the no.9 lads teased us with a bus episode last series and are now promoting the last ever series with a preview of an episode about a different mode of public transport has to be the most elaborately beautiful middle finger to hardcore fans I have ever seen. Never change, guys, never change.

It's probably just a result of me binging Psychoville the other day, but Reece's character here looks exactly how I'd imagine an older Jeremy Goode.

Also, as a wise man once said; The tubes, THE TUBES!

I am so excited for series 9 of Inside No.9, the cast list looks insanely good!

Article here

Eddie Marsan! Charlie Cooper! Susan Wokoma! JOEL FRY?!!

And getting Adrian Scarborough and Mark Bonnar back for a Psychoville reunion!

AND STEVE PEMBERTON IN FULL DRAG?!!!!!!

I Am So Excited For Series 9 Of Inside No.9, The Cast List Looks Insanely Good!

I knew I'd be excited for this but fucking hell this is perfection! I cannot wait to see where they take us this time!

Now that I think about it, Hattie, the desperately lonely makeup artist from season 2, has some similarities to 🦉 except the show recognizes she's awful, all while still making her feel human and giving her some moments that left me in stiches.

You know, I was wondering why both Blitz and Fizz feel like they remind me of something but in different ways.

Then I remember Mr. Jelly from Psychoville, who is a crass, alcoholic, amputee birthday clown who is played by on of the show's creators.

You Know, I Was Wondering Why Both Blitz And Fizz Feel Like They Remind Me Of Something But In Different

Also, the doctor who helped Jelly get accustomed to his prosthetics took a liking to clowning and became Mr. Jolly, whom Jelly is in fierce competition with also being constantly mistaken for him.

Yes, this is a thinly veiled attempt at getting you to watch the show, but it was super underrated and had ARG elements that would've gotten it way more than just 2 seasons had it come out just a few years later. And if nothing else, it's better as a dramatic adult comedy than HB.

LMAO????

Since it’s the holiday season, I’ve got some festive ideas/headcanons pertaining to Mammon:

After seeing a lot of discussion regarding the Sinsmas episode, I found my self with the reoccurring mental image of Mammon taking the role of a mall Santa, with demonic parents bringing their kids out to get their picture taken with the big green bogan (for a hefty price, naturally). Moreover, I think that Mammon would turn the concept of a mall Santa on its head by shilling his products to the kids and pressuring their parents to take the hint.

You cannot convince me that Mammon would not release a Have Yourself A Meaty Little Christmas style album as both another product to pedal and a means to advertise the rest of his brand. Building off of that, you know for a fact that he dragged Fizzarolli into the scheme and more than likely managed to rope the other Sins into it as well.

Mammon doesn’t actually see the resemblance his usual attire gives him to a pine tree and gets aggravated when people point it out.

These are just some dumb ideas i thought were funny I had rattling around in my head.

These are great, so let's build off of them:

The only kid he actually listens to in his "Santa" gig is Charlie. If there's one good thing that came out of Hazbin getting picked up, it's that canon can never come in the way of our ideas for cute interactions between Charlie and the other Sins.

I've said it before, but I like to think that though he no longer enjoys performing it, Mam still enjoys playing music and would probably use those albums to release some songs he's been workshopping on and off for a while. That way he makes some cash off them and gets the satisfaction of people liking his music without him actually having to perform it.

I think he's aware of it but doesn't really pay it much mind. What really annoys him is when people don't drop the joke and just try again and again to get a reaction out of him.

Bouquet, since their individual ships tend to be named after flowers.

I'm sleep deprived. There should be more poly ships in the SM fandom.

Of-fucking-course you're pro-stella and anti-Stolas. Jesus fucking Christ... Hope you don't have a total meltdown when future positive episodes surrounding Stolas and Blitz get released.

I won't because I know that they're only happening because Vivienne wants them to and that realistically, Blitz would eventually snap out of the manipulation and get Stolas out of his life.

AUs and fics exist for many reasons, and one reason is that sometimes viewers who happen to be writers themselves can't tolerate the bad and in some instances potentially harmful writing in canon.

I know that the series won't give Stella a happy ending, that's exactly why I focus so much on her.

We know for a fact that Stolas was originally going to be a major villain in the series and was retconned into being "mIsgUIdEd" during the production of season 2. All this means Stella was more likely than not, originally framed as at least somewhat sympathetic by the narrative. The reason I point out the implied and/or inherent nuances to Stella's character is because they're an inevitable holdover from a version of the show that would have been far superior to the product we received.

The reason I'm pro-Stella is because she, as a character, deserved to be handled with more tact.

If you take that much of an issue with these stances, I suggest you just block, and move on with your day.
