Wtf...Bots are fucking crazy bro. Either get rid of your bots or make them speak proper English. Also, THERES FUCKING MINORS ON HERE AND IM ONE OF EM,STOP TRYING TO BAIT THEM OUT INTO SEX SITES.

Y'all know what hurts the most? The way I keep screaming & crying & BEGGING people to send me asks, only to find shit like this in my inbox. 🤦♀

Nothing feels more depressing than receiving a notification that someone sent you an ask after AGES, & then excitedly opening your inbox and finding a typical p0₹nbot "ask" with a scam/malware link in it. I don't know if this blog has been banned yet, but please, please find this blog, & report & block it. Do not interact with its posts. And yes, to me this was actually the most surprising thing about this blog. It actually had a bunch of reblogged posts in it. On the surface, it seemed like just another ordinary blog, when I opened it. But then, I thought that the chance of an ordinary blog sending me scammy asks was nearly zero.
In conclusion, this must be a new strategy that p0₹nbots are employing in order to make themselves seem harmless. They actually contain posts now. They're trying their best to blend in & attack stealthily. Please be careful, y'all. Please report & block these blogs.
Who else is sick of very particular bots randomly deciding to follow you? Because I always get so happy to see that "[name] has started following you" notification, and about half the time, it's one of those bots. It's always a buzzkill.
In addition to being annoyed, though, I'm confused. I'm just a tiny account that posts stuff about funny fictional turtles. What does the algorithm see that I don't?

why should you change it?
When you guys pop up in our notifications, most seasoned tumblr users will suspect you’re a bot and block on sight.
why do we block immediately?
tumblr has a history of bots trying to infiltrate and establish a connection to a valid, existing blog in order to populate google searches. Simply liking or reblogging a post, not just adding a scam link to it, establishes this connection. Tumblr users don’t want this to happen, especially if it’s a scammy p*rn bot. So, we often block on sight.
So now I have to reblog stuff AND change my pfp?
Well, of course that’s up to you! I just want to explain why you may have been already blocked by an artist/blogger you may have discovered recently, and how you can avoid it in the future.
Reblogging does help creators more than likes because your reblogs will show up on the dash of those that may follow you. Plus, reblogging puts that post on your own blog, and in case the original gets deleted or edited by the OP, it’ll be on your blog like that–forever (or until you delete your blog). Nice.

I'll be honest, I don't use Tumblr everyday... but every few days I do open it, I have like 7 or more bots following me and I'm so sick of blocking them.
I don't know this app inside-out so I'm just confused why this happens? Is it me not being active and not posting or is it just random, just because????
So- does anyone know if there's any way of getting rid of this or am I bound to this until maybe they stop?
It's just annoying when I have to do this everytime I open the app.

Man! I feel like freaking Ezio in AC 2 when he was going up against all those templars, dealing with these godforsaken porn bots.
I've blocked and reported like maybe 50+ pornbots in a span of half a months and they still keep coming!
