The Owl House Speculation - Tumblr Posts
Since up until now we've been shown the Coven Heads as the opposite of what they represent, the Healing Coven Head can be someone who only wields their medical abilities to make money and charge unreasonably high fees for a checkup or that their is someone who is negligent with their patients and who downplays their conditions
but this thought came to my mind:
Does anyone remember this woman?
and/or this woman?
I couldn't think of the Healing Coven Head can be someone like Yachiru/Retsu or Shinobu. Calm down, here I explain:
Yachiru Unohana: The First Kenpachi
Retsu during the beginning of the Gotei 13 was a very dangerous criminal called Yachiru who knew the art of the sword until Genryusai recruited her and became the first captain of the 11th squad (a squad known to be the most violent of all and where love for battle prevails), being the first shinigami to hold the title of Kenpachi (this title was given to the soul reapers who have killed more enemies and enjoy the battle).
Due to the dire effects of her bankai, in addition to her desire to prolong her fights, Yachiru learned healing kido and became quite good at it to the point that after her fight with Kenpachi Zaraki she became captain of the 4th squad (known for specializing in medicine and healing) and while he joined this squad he became a much calmer person.
Shinobu Kocho: The Poisonous Butterfly
Shinobu is a Demon Slayer who specializes in the use of medicine and is in charge of caring for and healing demon slayers injured in combat,
as well as always having a friendly attitude and always smiling.
However she fights using poison, killing the demons in the slowest and most painful way possible while pretending to be kind to them,
this is because she has big anger towards the demons for the death of her parents, her sister and her tsugukos. This affects her to the point that she mimics her sister's kind demeanor
just to hide her anger and uses her fake kindness while sadistically torturing the demons she kills.
What I mean is that the Healing Coven Head can be someone like Yachiru/Retsu (a battle-loving warrior who learned their healing techniques just so they could keep fighting and over time their personality became calmer) or Shinobu (someone who has a kind and calm demeanor that ends up being fake and who also uses their knowledge in medicine to heal allies but also uses said knowledge to torture their enemies in the worst possible way and kill them slowly while they suffer).
The Collector's Loneliness
We all know that The Collector wants revenge but he are also desperate to get out of his prison and that is why he sought to sacrifice titans and later allies himself with Belos to kill all the witches but what if he chased the titans because he blames them for his confinement and for leaving him abandoned and at the same time to somehow make a ritual similar to what he did with the owl beast for that they were going to keep him eternal company?
Maybe he just helps Belos not only to be free but also to somehow get the souls of the dead witches from Day of Unity to keep him eternal company?
If he caught beasts like the Owl Beast and used that ritual as a way to create an eternal companion that would always keep him company?
When King has that strange dream where The Collector's prison is, the latter desperately asks him not to go and it sounded quite honest and desperate on his part. The Collector really is like a child: he doesn't know right from wrong so he has no idea how bad his actions are and he doesn't want to be alone so he seeks company, even if it was by force (as he did with the Owl Beast).
It also explains why he persecuted the titans and it's because he blames them for having left him locked up inside the titan's bones (it could be because the titan himself imprisoned him for being a threat or he simply ended up imprisoned by accident) and trust me that spent indefinite years in solitary confinement he would drive anyone crazy.
An example of how harmful extreme isolation can be and how it can negatively affect someone is Aqua from Kingdom Hearts series.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep she in her final fight against Terranort manages to defeat him and her heartless creates a portal that takes them to the Realm of Darkness and Aqua sacrifices herself giving him her keyblade and armor to help him escape.
And although Mickey tries to get her out, he doesn't succeed since she tries to stop a swarm of heartless and is taken by them to a false version of Destiny Islands and is forced to remain in the Realm of Darkness.
but with the hope that one day someone would rescue her and take her back home.
however, so many years of isolation end up taking its toll on her: Ansem, the seeker of darkness (or as I call him the false Ansem) tries to attack the real Ansem but Aqua defends him, which makes the false Ansem attack her and makes her submerged in the sea of the Realm of Darkness
and the darkness that is corrupting Aqua makes all the negative feelings that she has been repressing explode and turn her into Anti-Aqua, the living representation of all the Aqua's negative feelings of frustration, anger for feeling that her friends abandoned her, despair to get out of that world, loneliness for having lost her friends and only having some monsters as company that seek to kill her.
and when Mickey and Riku interacted with her, all Aqua does is lash out in anger at them because she blames them for her imprisonment as she feels that they abandoned her for so many years.
and she was only able to return to normal and leave the Realm of Darkness because there were people who loved her and cared about her.
If Aqua, despite having friends who love her, succumbed to the negative feelings she's been repressing from being 10 years alone and trapped in an isolated place felt frustrated, lonely, desperate and resigned to her eternal confinement and attacks her friends for thinking they abandoned her for years, imagine how The Collector would feel who spent indefinite years isolated in his prison, probably spending MANY MORE YEARS than Aqua in the Realm of Darkness, looking to kill titans because he thinks that they're responsible for his imprisonment also, unlike Aqua, The Collector doesn't have friends and anyone and the only person he thinks is his friend is a person who's probably just using him.
I'm not justifies him, I'm just saying that The Collector probably captured and collected beasts because he wanted to have fun and turn forcibly anyone he meet into his friends in the worst possible way and he didn't care if this ended up hurting them but once he was imprisoned he spent so many years of loneliness and isolation that drove him crazy to the point where he wants to free himself at any cost and is also desperate to have any kind of company in anyway without caring if the others want to be his friends or not.
He may have been bad before his confinement, but what the isolation and loneliness he had while there did was amplify his defects (fear and hatred of loneliness and abandonment, not realizing the impact of his actions), making him even worst what he was before.
I can't help but think that what Belos wants to do with Luz or one of the things he wants to do to her is force her to agree with him in the same way that he tried with the other grimwalkers he created. Belos is completely unable to admit that he is wrong that he is determined to find another human who agrees with his ideology and thereby prove that he's in the right.
I don't know what could be more terrifying, that Belos is angry because Kikimora brought Luz to him by mistake or that Belos is happy because Kikimora brought Luz to him by mistake?
I can't help but think of Caleb and Phillip's relationship as a cross between Vi and Jinx from Arcane and Yor and Yuri from Spy X Family.

Anyone else imagine that the Collector turned the Boiling Islands into something like Totto Land?
I can't help but think of Caleb and Phillip's relationship as a cross between Vi and Jinx from Arcane and Yor and Yuri from Spy X Family.
I think that the same thing that happened to Denji in Chainsaw Man could happen to Hunter because when Denji dies Pochita sacrifices himself by merging with him and revives him and gives Denji his chainsaw powers making Denji acquire chainsaw characteristics that Pochita had as well could happen to Hunter by inheriting Flapjack's powers.
I don't know about you but I think that if the series had had a complete season we could have seen Belos recovering properly and improving and experimenting with his powers, discovering things like change his shape to that of other living things, create different weapons with his body, create tentacles to control or destroy objects, infect and control several living beings at the same and even see memories of the people he infects as Alex Mercer did in Prototype. Basically in a full season we would have seen Belos become Alex Mercer 2.0.
I know that many are speculating that Luz will be stabbed (as if her similarities to Marcy Wu with her love for anime, video games and fantasy, her own self-sacrificial tendencies and guilt, desire to make up for her failures weren't enough)
and that some will remember the popular theory that she would be possessed by the Collector and I wanted to share something that I have been thinking about and that is the possibility that after she being stabbed, Luz will be possessed by Belos.
One of the foreshadow is Lucy, the villain from The Good Witch Azura. On the one hand Lucy bears an impressive physical resemblance to Luz and on the other when Azura protects Hecate, Lucy tells her to give up on Hecate because it's for her own good.
You know who else says that what he does is for the good of others?
Another foreshadow is like Luz's eyes catching the blue reflection of the screens.
This wouldn't be as relevant if it weren't for the fact that when Belos possesses Hunter, Hunter's eyes turn blue.
Not to mention that Belos managed to possess Hunter because Hunter touches Belos' sticky substance with his injured finger and Belos got inside that wound.
So if Luz gets stabbed, Belos could get inside her wound and possess her.
If already seeing Hunter being possessed by Belos, treating him like a doll or object, almost hurting his friends and killing Flapjack was very painful, creepy and uncomfortable to watch, seeing Belos possessing Luz, call her and treat her like his precious doll/partner, gloating over it and that he's saving and protecting her while he talks about Luz as if they were friends, he uses her to hurt her friends and also he says through her body that what they (Luz and himself) do is for the good of everyone, it's a pretty horrible, scary and painful scenario.

Taking this into account, now imagine if at some point Eda and Luz meet and Belos sees them together, he would already have two reasons to attack Eda because he would not only believe that Evelyn is still alive but he would feel jealous of the mentor-apprentice/parent-daughter relationship that Eda has with Luz besides Belos would also attack her because he would think that she kidnapped and brainwashed Luz as he thinks that Evelyn did with Caleb. Also let's not forget that Belos is obsessed with Luz and that before he left for the Boiling Islands he told everyone this, especially Luz because she is human and because he knows her more than the others who are with her:
Oh no. I just realized something.
An unstable Belos, who keeps seeing his dead brother everywhere, is currently possessing Raine. And who is most likely to deal with Raine?
Eda.
Eda...who currently has short hair. And whose silhouette currently strongly resembles-
OH FUCK.
If this is Belos using the Collector's power of reality manipulation to gain possession of the titans heart,
while Collector seems to only use his powers to put Luz, Eda and King in dangerous games
does that mean that Luz being dressed as Belos was his own idea? Because it seems very weird to me that while hexsquad are dressed in clothes from the past, Luz is the only one who, instead of having a past appearance, is dressed as Belos.
There are two options for this to be possible:
1) Collector decides to do this on his own before Belos steals his powers.
2) Belos convinces Collector to make Luz and Hexsquad revert to their past outfits while Luz is dressed as Belos, telling him it's an appropriate way to punish Luz for taking King away from him.
3) Belos, after getting Collector's reality manipulation power to possess the titan's body through his heart, decides to make hexsquad have their past appearances but Luz is dressed as him.
If options 2 and 3 turn out to be true, this would prove that Belos is so obsessed with Luz that he dresses her as him because he wants to turn her into his successor, his heir and protege, or he simply wants to force Luz to see things his way, to be like him.
