So obviously Eda isn’t gonna die/remain the owl beast forever

Hey what if Lilith gets turnt to stone, sacrfificing herself to save Eda making the “two hearts of stone” thing literal

If/when she gets healed it could kickstart her redemption arc

I was rewatching the owl house and I noticed that among the graffiti Eda put on the locker in Something Ventured Someone Framed there are multiple ‘hoots’ written.

Since she went to Hexside before she was cursed it can be assumed that her love of owls predated Lilith cursing her. In addition, since the sisters seem like they used to be very close we can assume Lilith knew Eda had a thing for owls. This presents two possibilities

1. Lilith was pressured to curse Eda and since she had to do it she wanted to at least have Eda transform into something she liked

Or (the one I believe to be more likely)

2. Lilith took something she knew Eda liked and turned it into something traumatic for her as an extra way to spite her

I think the latter is more likely considering how Lilith is smart and it’d be dumb to think that Eda would still like owls as much when she’s literally cursed to turn into them. I mean, Eda does own the whole owl motif but I don’t think Lilith would’ve seen that coming

I’m so prepared for how different Hunter will look now that he’s left the castle

He won’t have to wake up by 6am every morning! Since he’s getting sleep, the bags under his eyes won’t be as noticeable

Whole new outfit, he’s not the golden guard anymore. Considering how he’s worn a uniform his entire life I can imagine his fashion sense to be pretty atrocious

Probably new hairstyle/color as he becomes his own person (parallel to Amity dying her hair purple to separate herself from her mother’s expectations)

And I am so confident he’ll change his name from Hunter. Willow calling him Caleb was something that made him perk up and was the narrative reward for him standing up for his friends against the emperors Coven. So I assume he’ll take the name Caleb but who knows!

So Moonlight conjurings right?

bring things to life and give the conjurer the power to control it, right?

What if the day of unity is Belos using all of the drained magic of the witches to revive the Titan? Or to become the Titan or something?

When it comes to Emperor Belos, what if the reason for his powers is something a bit like what’s up with Master Org from Power Rangers Wild Force. Where he was once human, and then got a hold of something that could give him the power he wanted and it changed him.

Here’s a random thought. What if Emperor Belos originally practiced Bard magic? And the reason he says he speaks for the Titan is that he is interpreting the beating of the Titan’s heart through use of this as it’s will?

If you want, you can reply your thoughts on this sort of theory that I have come up with.

“Get away from him!” Luz screamed as she charged the masked man once more, Hunter now laying motionless on the throne. “A child like you had no business being this annoying!” Belos growled as Luz flew backwards. “You WILL stay out of my way or else-“ He said before the back of his cloak was grabbed, the man whipping around to see what creature was brave enough to do so. “Or else you’ll stab them, perchance?” A familiar voice said. It was Hunter’s, but older, more sad.

In a single heartbeat, the crimson eyes and pointy ears vanished to show green eyes and rounded ears. “I see it’s happened already. I normally have longer.” Belos said as the young man stood up. “I see you are still making clones of me, brother. When will you let me rest?!” Hunter yelled. “I just…want to rest, please stop reviving me, stop this MADNESS!” He begged.

Luz watched Hunter in confusion. “H-Hunter?” She tried, but he didn’t even notice her, his eyes on his once littler brother. Now? Now he’s looking up to him, as all of his previous selves have once done.”I know the truth of who you are. Every time you bring me back, you look worse and worse. Please. Please, let’s just exist here.” He begged and held his hand out with a small smile.

“NEVER!” Belos screamed and slapped the hand away.”You offered that so many years ago, you offer that every time you regain your memories, but I will NEVER stop trying to leave this place! YOU are the one who likes it here! YOU are the one who fell in love! YOU are the one who turned your back on me!” He screamed as he produced a knife. “And you. Will. Die.” He said before he launched an attack, Hunter’s arms coming to protect his face before a wall of vines came from no where, stopping the blade.

“I’ll say it again! Get away from him!” Luz yelled as the vines pushed Belos back to the other side of the room, slamming into the wall.”Philip!” Hunter cried out in shock before looking at Luz. “Y-You saved me? Why?” He asked. “Because we’re friends! I don’t know who you are, but that body belongs to a friend of mine, so I plan to protect it.” She said, her words filled with determination as Hunter smiled. “Thank you. I’ve never had someone do that before.” He said before he suddenly pushed her out of the way of the energy attack sent from the cane.

“You brat! How dare you interfere!” Belos wailed as he launched another attack. Just before his cane met Hunter, the young man let out a small note. The sound froze Belos in his tracks as Hunter started to sing, his words mystifying as he held a glyph in his hand. Luz watched, mesmerised by the way he was able to do that.”Bard magic!” She squealed, keeping her voice to a whisper as Hunter stood in front of the blade as the final words were sung.

“NO!” Luz said as she realized what would happen too late. The blade went through the small form, the tip stained with red.”You did always fancy knives, huh?” Hunter teased.”Thank you, for helping me.” He said before Belos grabbed him, raising his hand high. “I shall help you. To your grave!” He said before Hunter began singing again, this time, walking around in a circle, using his new red ink to draw a glyph and gently placing Belos inside.

At his final note, the emperor snapped out of it.”You little-“ He said before he noticed the glyph and looked up at Hunter. “I’m sorry, brother. You’ve gone too far.” The blonde said before he activated it. “NO!!!” Belos cried as his body slowly faded. Hunter looked away as Luz had to shield her eyes, the light too bright for her.

Once the light subsided, a small figure could be seen. It was a palisman. A figurine of Belos. Hunter gently scooped it up and smiled softly before the door flung open, Eda, King, Darius, and Raine all looking ready to fight. When they noticed no one was there, they were confused. “Hey kid. What happened?” Eda asked. “We…won.” Luz said before she looked at Hunter. She was about to say something before Darius ran over and engulfed the boy in a hug. “You aren’t hurt are you? I will revive that monster and take him out myself if he did!” He yelled.

Hunte gently took the hands off him before he looked up at him.”This version…made friends…had a family?” He asked before he looked down. “I’m sorry. This…Hunter? He doesn’t exist. Not anymore. Forgive me.” He said softly. Those words, small as they were, so very simple, shook everyone in that room to their core.”But then who are you?” King asked, a bit more forceful than needed. “My name is Caleb. Caleb Wittebane. Philip, the man who killed me…tormented me for years…he was my baby brother.” He said as he held the figurine in his hand.

Tears went down the young man, now known as Caleb’s face. “I didn’t want it to end this way. I’m sorry for all the trouble he and I might of caused.” He said and bowed his head. A second later, he felt multiple arms around him, holding him close. “You have suffered so much, too much, kid.” Darius said. “Yes. You can rest now, Hun-I mean Caleb. Everyone needs to rest.” Luz said kindly, small tears going down her cheeks.

Caleb smiled softly at her.”Kid. Can you do me a small favor?” He asked. She looked saddened but smiled and nodded. “What is it?” She asked. “Can you bury us in the human realm? I know Phil wanted to get back their really bad. It would mean a lot to him.” He said, his voice getting softer. Luz sniffled before she nodded.”Of course! I would be happy to.” She said as Caleb’s smile grew. “Did you hear that Philip? We can finally go home…”He said before he let out a small breath, his body vanishing as he, too, became a figurine. Both men now had a smile on their faces, joining hands once more in death…

Wasn’t the Bat queen owned by some giant being?? Like the Titan?!?! COULD KING GET CLOSURE THROUGH THE BAT QUEEN?!?!

My Creepy Luz Theory

Okay so I have this theory that maybe Creepy Luz is just someone from the Emperor’s Coven or a very old wild witch around Eda or Gwen’s age. You might be thinking “how tf did you get that theory?” Simple my fellow witch youngling, we were told that one of the various forbidden magics is shape shifting.

I think that it would only make sense for this person to be an old wild witch or a member of the Emperor’s coven as they would have they knowledge or access to the knowledge and arts of shape shifting. Shape shifting is not illusion magic, if that was the case than I’m sure Luz would have wanted to join the coven and shape shift into her version of Azura or such. But back to what I was saying, I don’t think this person is a human but instead a highly knowledgeable witch who’s perfected the art of shape shifting. Along with the high possibility that the witch is in simple words: an old witch. Most young witches just know that forbidden magic is forbidden and that’s all you need to know and that’s all you’ll know.

I think that the witch could possibly vary from a young witch apprentice like the Golden Guard to someone as skilled and respected as Lilith (before sharing the curse). Though I’m juggling between the thought of the witch being someone who’s older, ex. Eda, Gwen, Belos or younger. If the witch were older, they would have known about shape shifting and they would have had time to perform and cast shape shifting to the best of their abilities. Basically perfect their art of shape shifting.

If the witch were to be younger such as an apprentice like Luz or the Golden Guard, they’d have less time to contribute in perfecting the performance and holding of any shape shifting. If this were the case then we have a reason to this scene that was added in the s2 promo:

The young witch could have probably slipped up and got caught by Camila, giving her a reason to suspect or learn that Luz is actually in another realm. And probably even mentioning that she’s trapped there until the dictator of that realm finds a way to get the realm door opened up to then possibly take over the human realm dictating both realms with his armies.

But as I mentioned earlier on, most to all young witches have no knowledge about forbidden magic. Plus we know that not many young witches are as talented and high ranking or loved by Emperor Belos, as the Golden Guard. So there’s not much more to help me believe that the person behind Creepy Luz could be a young witch.

If this shape shifter were to be older, they could easily have just ran out of will power to keep up the act. That or they could have run out of actual power to continue the ruse. Cause let’s face it, you’d have to have power to continue the shape shifting performance into the late hours of the night because I’m more than sure Camila checks up on Luz late at night.

There’s another theory I’ve got pondering in my head. It’s my brother’s theory to Creepy Luz. This post is already long enough so that’s all ima say for now. Guess it’s gonna be a theory for another day, and by that I mean I’m totally going to type it out tomorrow night and won’t post it until Tuesday.

Part 2 of Creepy Luz theories!

This one comes from my brother and all of the credit goes to him.

So the theory he came up with, is “What if Creepy Luz is just the Boiling Isles’ version of Luz?” Now we’re picking up speed am I right?? Lemme give you some context on where this is coming from.

So if we go back to s1 ep3, while Luz is being given an introduced to Gus by Willow; Luz interrupts saying something along the lines of “We have a Gus in the human world.” Then we get Gus jumping around happy that he’s been given a nickname from a human ya dA ya da-

So here’s where it gets ~interesting~

My brother goes on to say, what if Creepy Luz is just the Boiling Isles’ Luz. There is a witch Luz created in that realm with key differences such as elongated pointed ears, different hair color, different eye color, and possibly even different mannerisms. He says this goes for every character, and he’s not at all wrong as it has some what been confirmed.

He suggests that maybe this Boiling Isles’ Luz is either in the Illusion or Healing track. You’ve gotta have some way to hide your differently colored eyes and hair along with them big ol’ ears. So what better to hide it with simple yet powerful illusion magic. Now, he added in healing track because he suggests that Boiling Isles Luz may have cut off the points of her ears. Morbid right? Just like Dana would’ve wanted! By cutting off the points of her ears she’d need healing magic, so what’s to do? Heal it yourself even possibly have prepped potions to hide the newly birthed scars.

How would she have gotten access to the human realm? Easy, being a part of the Emperor’s Coven. My brother thinks that someone from the Oracle coven warned Emperor Belos of Luz’s arrival to the Boiling Isles. That being said, he recruited someone fitting Luz’s description and assigned them to a mission in the human realm. With this almost doppelgänger roaming through the human realm with access to the Emperor’s Coven, it’s not that hard to think maybe she’s been assigned to be a spy.

[ theory was made the day that ep 4 aired, we did not get around to reading Moringmark’s latest comics until this afternoon ]

Now in terms of personality, my brother theorized that she may have a similar personality/interests as human realm Luz. Which is where he thinks we get this scene from:

He thinks that this spy Luz:

slips up and out of fear, guilt or sympathy; breaks down and tells Camila about where her Luz is.

Camila finds out on accident, that who she’s been around isn’t her daughter. Possibly by walking in while the other Luz is getting ready. Which means that Luz is actually has not fully healed the scars or doesn’t start up the illusion magic until she’s out of Luz’s actual room.

Camila notices weird behaviors from her. Like Luz’s old routine is off; she freaks out at the sight of a giraffe, the rain and ocean.

Maybe Eda tries to fix up her outfit? I mean we know Eda can knit because she made a cape for Luz before the s1 finale

Luz's clothes got pretty busted this episode, probably why she'll get the new outfit, that cat hoodie is a brave warrior.

Doesn't seem to be permanent (we see it come back in that lake) but uh what happened, hun

Okay okay enough with the funny let’s get down to shit like usual. So I think Hunter and Luz are more similar than they were set to be in the episode.

Luz has guilt issues. She shifts the blame to herself and most likely has problems self esteem and self value. We’ve all said that it stems from the human realm and I believe that so we’re going with that. We see Luz panic while picking a pailsman because none of them connect to her. I think in that moment Luz panicked because she’s realized that not only does she not fit in out in the Boiling Isles but her reason for even being there is because she wanted to get away from the human realm as she wasn’t really accepted much over there. But by being in the Boiling Isles she’s caused problems to others, burdening her with guilt. She’s realized that by being there, she’s caused trouble again; human or demon realm she’s caused problems. I hope that these upcoming episodes show Luz developing and growing past her self esteem, self worth and/or guilt issues.

Now Hunter also known as GG/Golden Guard. I believe that he follows so closely to Belos’ orders as he wants to show his gratefulness and worth. Kinda like what Zuko was doing in ATLA. He chased Aang and tries through almost the entirety of the show trying to catch him to show his father that he is redeemable, he is honorable, he is lovable, and respectable. But in reality, regardless of whether or not he catches Aang he’s all of those things. Now Hunter, he tries to show he’s grateful as Belos basically acts like this is all Hunter’s fault and needs to repay him by going along with Belos’ orders, showing loyalty to the coven and overall ruling of Belos. By going through all these trials and missions, he’s letting his uncle know that he’s useful and now has a purpose of sorts. Though he seems to be having second thoughts about the whole ordeal as he told Luz before taking down that finger monster thingy. Having all of this be burdening Hunter, it’s best and easiest to assume that he has issues with himself. Whether that be as on point to Luz’s issues, or even assume that he has a better or worse of a situation compared to her.

If this doesn’t make half as much sense as I thought it did when I typed it, just know that it’s probably because I’m making this at 4AM. I kinda forgot about early access so I was confused why people were saying Luz is from Connecticut. Anyway, I didn’t watch it until 3 and took a while to actually understand what happened in the episode and another 30 min to type this out properly. REMEMBER TO SLEEP PEOPLE I NEED IT BUT IM DRAWING COOL CRAIG OF THE CREEK FAN ART (ITS TABITHA AND COURTNEY!!!!!!!!)

Ummm what if because he’s been trapped there so long he forgot that he brought his brother with him? We already know that he isn’t even sure about who he is or the time of week and all that.

Along with that we know, Phillip lost “friends” to fool’s blood. But what if that were actually a friend and his brother?

anyways, phillip wittebane might have a brother who was/is similarly stuck in the boiling isles

+ the lil bird on phillip’s shoulder looks like hunter’s cardinal! no idea what that means but… fun!

I’m hoping that after this episode (and the hiatus), both Luz and Camila will be able to talk when they meet again. Not just welcoming back to the human realm, but a full on heart to heart conversation. Being honest with each other, because that’s really what’ll help both of them. Luz was sent to camp and she was so upset by that and Camila was upset that Luz chose to stay in the demon realm. Both have wrongs, they need and deserve to stop and actually talk about things. Their emotions, thoughts, how everything is being challenged by the lies and promises. How both Vee and Luz have found families (more so Luz then Vee in my opinion, don’t come at me).

While Luz is busy looking for a way to build a new and more stable portal (hopefully before Belos), Vee and Camila might end up bonding more then they thought they would have before learning about the whole situation. If that does happen; then Camila will also have a burden of being conflicted with having Vee leave her side kinda like how Eda got worried about knowing that Luz might leave sooner than later.

What about her friends, Willow and Gus

And at this point I consider King and Eda as her family too

And of course Amity.

She may even break a promise, a lie

Yesterday's lie...

Whatever outcome of this, Luz will find a way to fix it, and I hope for all of them to find happiness in the end.

Not gonna lie, this was one of most rarest times I cry because of a TV show

This is so interesting! It also makes me wonder abt how Belos’s possession made Hunter’s hair grow back out (possibly long enough to tie into a low ponytail) and since he’s got brown eyes now… I think when they next meet, Hunter’s gonna look so much like Caleb that it’ll ruin any remaining threads of Belos’s sanity.

Okay serious talk, is it just me or has Belos never actually tried to kill Hunter? Let me explain

In Hollow Mind he could have easily killed him, he had plenty of opportunities to do it. But no, instead he seems disappointed and transports him to what we can assume is another location to deal with him at a later time.

He could have immediately sent scouts out to find Hunter the moment they left, claimed the Golden Guard was sick, having a mental break due to stress, ect. "Find my nephew immediately failure will not be tolerated" and all that, then killed him privately when he got back. But he did not.

In King's Tide Hunter was frozen in shock, he could have murdered him then and their but he doesn't. Instead he asks "Why are you hurting me?". And he seems genuinely confused in a way. Like he actually can't understand it. He only looses his cool and goes to attack once he sees Flapjack.

Hell! He could have murdered Hunter after he'd gotten everything prepared—when he was no longer truly needed. Could have told anyone that asked that the Golden Guard was busy helping him prepare for the day of unity—no one would have truly questioned it! HE DID NOT DO THAT.

He has had plenty of opportunities to tie up this loose end and take Hunter off the census—however he's never truly taken one.

Now let's look in the present day, in Thanks to Them Belos says this

"I thought this one was another lost cause because of you we can finish our work as witch hunters"

Not "I can finish my work as a witch hunter" , "We can finish our work". What I'm I getting at? Belos genuinely sees Hunter as Caleb.

At least to some extent he sees this boy as the brother he lost, that he killed, who betrayed him. That's why he doesn't actually murk the kid, why he seems genuinely disappointed when Hunter doesn't remain loyal. Belos is a smart man, a 5 year old could see that Hunter wasn't going to blindly follow him anymore after seeing what he saw in Belos's mind. But this man who has manipulated an inter country—has been alive for over 300 years, seems to be disappointed and caught of guard when Hunter shows doubt. When he no longer follows. It would have actually made more sense to kill him immediately after he had the palismen souls cornered but he didn't do it.

"Out of all the grimwalkers you look the most like him"

Due to this it was probably easier for Belos to pretend that Hunter actually was him. That he and Caleb were finishing their work together. Which is why he asks why Caleb betrays him in Thanks to Them and not Hunter.

Even when Hunter almost dies Belos was not actively trying to kill him. Hunter's near death was more of an adverse side effect of both the possession and almost drowning. I personally don't think Belos truly wants to kill him—he doesn't want to kill his brother a second time. He wants them to finish their work together, hand in hand.
