Remus’ Wand
Remus Lupin’s wand was cypress, unicorn hair core, 10 1/4 inches
in the official wand wood meanings, Ollivander says, in regard to a great medieval Wandmaker, “he was always honoured to match a cypress wand, for he knew he was meeting a witch or wizard who would die a heroic death.”
Remus died a heroic death
idk if Rowling did this on purpose or not but damn that hurts

A Witch’s Wand
In witchcraft, a wand is used for directing energy in rituals and spells. It represents energy, power, and fertility, and is used as both air and fire element. Each wand can be as unique as the witch that wields it.
🌟 To Build:
Unlike brooms, wands require very little work put into their production, unless you want to. Some traditions call for a witch to find their wand in a fallen branch and forbid against breaking one off the tree. Carving is optional, as is the choice to embed it with crystals, wrap it with wire, tie with ribbon, carve sigils, etc.
A few possibilities for wands based on wood magic correspondences:
ALDER— Weather magic, necromancy, courage and passion
ALMOND— Wisdom, prosperity, love magic, healing
BIRCH— Intuition, creativity, love, healing, protection
ELDER— Healing, protection, banishment
HAZEL— Truth, divination
HOLLY— Purity, sun magic, strength, protection, luck
OAK— Protection, fertility, strength
REDWOOD— “King of trees”, strength, protection, creativity, enlightenment
ROWAN— Defense, creation, travel
WILLOW— Healing, protection, spirit work
YEW— Strength, change
🌟 Note:
However, please note, a wand does not need to be made out of wood. A wand can be found in many things and anything that is dear to you. A spoon, a pencil, a wrench, a plastic toy wand. If you can find magic within the instrument, it is a wand.

What is lesser known about wands is that they can be made of, well, anything! If you want to know more about the magickal practicality of wands, check out my previous post here.
Crystal
While most would immediately think to go for a wooden wand, a highly flexible and volatile witch may choose a crystal wand for its rather intense and astute power. These wands are good for more experienced witches who need to enchant items quite often. Also good for the witch who channels their energy strongly; these not for the mild-tempered or the ill-willed, though, these wands will bite back if you're not careful! These wands are specialty items that tend to work best in an environment that reflects their natural energies. Clear quartz is your safe bet for general-purpose use. Plus, you can cleanse them like any other crystal!
Metal
These wands have a quite distinct sharp, fiery energy with a flair for banishing and warding. If you want some serious spiritual protection, go for a metal wand, especially if you are known to have a quite forthcoming and steadfast personality. Particularly, iron, brass and copper are your best bets for such practices. However, due to the nature of these wands, it may be hard to truly connect to it, so be prepared to spend time, meditate with this tool and cleanse it often with smoke.
Antler
Antler-made wands are born of nature and thrive with witches who serve it. Best for ritual and divination practices and works best in an outdoor setting. Antler wands share the properties of the animal of which it came: the Sacred Stag. This wand is best used for spells regarding courage, attainment, guidance and change. However, these wands can attune to you quite strongly and will strive to impress you, so be prepared to use it often. Once this wand clicks with you, you'll never want to use another ever again. Cleanse in nature, either in running water or with sand/clay dust from the earth.

Tarot Aces
ꕥThe Tarot Aces are the raw energy or essence of the suit they represent. As yet unformed, they are the potential of the element at its purest.
✫Everything begins with a thought or an idea (suit of Swords and the element Air).
✫Wands/Fire breathes life into it, they give it energy.
✫Cups/Water provides sentience and aesthetics.
✫Pentacles/Earth completes the formation by providing solidity to the original idea.
In a Tarot reading, the Aces can be seen as a gift, as a positive influence in life.
