I can’t find it but there was this fic I read a few months ago where gale and tav were together but gale leaves without telling tav to try to get the crown to become a god and is then super pissed off to find that astarion was the one to comfort tav and that tav and astarion are now together. If you know that this fic is please let me know
I need Neil Newbon to come to Australia. Idk how to make that happen but I wanna meet him but I’m too broke to travel to another country to do that.
Petitions

I am so tired of asexuals being boxed into the "sweet naive child not needs to be shielded away from sex"
what I am trying to say with poll is that Allosexual (a term for non asexual people) if you meet someone who is asexual don't just atomatically assume they are sex repulsed instead ask if you are shy here is a prompt
"hey I noticed that in your bio you said are asexual/on the ace spectrum and I just want to know what are comfortable with before I send you risky memes/jokes I want to honor your boundaries as a friend because I respect you. I am only asking this because I myself am not asexual but I realize that is is a very broad spectrum and want make sure I don't make you uncomfortable by maybe sending risky memes about character we both like"
Anyone have a link to a good quality slime tutorial of The Lightning Thief?
Something I’ve thought of recently is that despite being used as a joke most of the time, the ‘woman not ordering food and then stealing her partners food’ trope definitely has links to the way society treats women and girls when it comes to food aka misogyny. From a very young age girls are told to watch their figure, to watch what they eat, to be delicate, to be polite, to not be a burden, so it then makes sense that when out on dates it’s hardwired into woman’s very beings that if their going to eat infront of a guy that she needs to eat something healthy so that he doesn’t think she’s fat, that she should get something cheap so she is t a burden, that she should get something that society deems feminine. But that means that she ends up ordering something that isn’t really filling or satisfying so she’s more likely to try to steal a few chips. And even with a man that she is super comfortable with, who she knows doesn’t care about all the things society has told her he should care about there is still that instinct to cater to what society says he should care about. Idk if this sounds like a reach but it just occurred to me that we constantly give women shit for acting the way that society has trained them and forced them to act because of fragile male egos.
Camp Jupiter maybe more society like but camp halfblood is a community. CHB might not have a university or some fancy democratic system but by gods do they look out for their own and have the kind of community that most people dream of their entire lives.
Whenever I think of Camp Jupiter.. I just get so.. mad. Knowing that even after 11 years of Jason's sheer service, even after the fact that he dedicated his whole life to Rome at the age of 2, a ripe CHILD, a BABY, nobody even cared to look for him even 6 months after his disappearance..??
Nobody went "I miss Jason!" Like everyone did in Camp half blood for Percy, even the hunters of Artemis went out of their way to look for him. Jason's "friends" Dakota or Gwendolyn never spared a glance at his direction, his friendship with Reyna was fractured because of communication issues, etc.
Camp Jupiter was, realistically NOTHING without Jason (and Reyna duh) yet they have the audacity to neglect him.
And then they cheaply "made up" for it by giving him some grand state funeral. What's the point? His body was wrapped in an expensive silk, but his soul left that world feeling useless and unwanted. An expensive fancy funeral isnt going to change that.
His funeral was dark and empty, because not a single one of his Greek friends could make it.
Jason Grace was doomed to be chained to the clutches of the soulless camp of Rome till the very end. Like Michael Varus said "born a roman, die a roman"
Camp Jupiter was more or less a dystopian society covered up with beautiful architecture. Like shiny fake gold that wears off its glow.
Astarion in love is the type of lover that if he accidentally tickles you when he’s running his hands over you he is fully going to use it to his advantage and tease you and start a tickle war half way through having sex. Only stopping his tickle attack once he can tell you are laughing so had that you are wheeze-laughing and then just has this huge goofy grinch smile on his face and he chuckles and kisses your nose.
Give me goofy sex Astarion, he deserves to be goofy and laugh with his love.
One of the reasons I have a hard time reading astarion smut is that you can't convince me spawn act3 would be a serious lover with dirty talk and whatever. That he'd do all the SmutFic.mp4 lines where if you Ctrl+f his name and replace it with another characters it would still make sense.
He'd be having fun. He'd be laughing. He'd be a goofball. We've all seen what love does to this bastard. It amps up his silliness. The man who says "Delicious!" in that way after a kiss. He spent such a long time saying all the perfect words and doing the perfect moves to min/max it all. No. The man is in love for the first time. He is going to have fun, he's going to be present, and he's not gonna rush any of it. Send tweet.

I just call it a soft drink
If you could reblog for a bigger sample size, I'd appreciate it!
It was never ‘social anxiety’ it was fucking pattern recognition, but no I’m the paranoid one for always worrying that people hate me. It’s almost like I have a disorder that’s lots of people hate me for that has a symptom of recognising the pattern of being treated like shit for something I have no control over.
a bottom-tier autistic experience is being told throughout your entire childhood that you are just an overthinker when it comes to social situations and later finding out that your friends did, in fact, hate being around you and tried to communicate that through weird little hints
Tav: “good cat/bad cat of the tenday” where they rate how morally corrupt each companion has acted over each tenday of their journey. Good cat is almost always given to Wyll and Karlach. Astarion has at least one ‘bad cat: he bit me real hard’ and Gale, Shadowheart, Astarion and Lae’zel all have a ‘bad cat: they tried to ascend to godhood’
Redeemed Durge: “what I think my friends bodies would taste like and why I choose NOT to eat them” has the quote from the owl bear about not eating them cause they’re friends with a drawing of the owl bear with a little arrow that says ‘me’. Each slide is a companion and all the reasons durge likes them. Is actually kinda sweet if you ignore the ‘my urge tells me to eat you all’ bit.
Evil durge: “why cannibalism is actually really cool and I should be allowed at least one killing of innocents a day.” It’s just unhinged rambling about eating people and killing. Some stickfigure art of dead bodies with crossed out eyes with lots of blood and guts and a smiling stickfigure durge.
Anyway, here are my thoughts about what each of the companions would present on if they had to give the rest of the party a PowerPoint presentation:
Gale: A completely accurate and detailed lecture regarding the theories of teleportation magic, how it works, and the differences between it and plane shift. There are multiple charts and graphs.
Wyll: “Choosing your hero name: an adventurer’s guide” He does have suggestions for the entire party.
Karlach: “Ranking bars in the gate based on how much they remind me of Avernus.” She has provided illustrations that she made herself. Anything in the Upper City is ranked “like Avernus” because “occupied entirely by pricks.”
Shadowheart: “So I was wrong about Shar: a reluctant apology.” It’s mostly a debunk of Shar’s lies but the entire time it does look like she is pulling teeth. However, she cheers up considerably when she presents on some of the church’s secrets, including the weird ass code names for things that she always thought were a little silly.
Lae’zel: a very educational and complete history of her people’s war against the mind flayers. It’s all rather academic until the last slide which says “AND THIS IS WHY WE DON’T EAT THE WORMS” in all caps.
Astarion: “Ranking you by whose blood I’d want to drink most.” In order, it is as follows Gale (rancid), Karlach (spicy), Minthara (probably is poisonous after all the poison she’s been exposed to), Jaheria (that story about what she did to one of the spawn was memorable), Shadowheart (does cleric blood taste radiant?), Lae’zel (curious how Gith taste, doesn’t want to die), Minsc (large and has extra blood to spare), Halsin (can turn into a bear, think of all that real estate), Wyll (canon verified snack)
Halsin: “Foraging: what’s edible and what isn’t” Gale takes very dutiful notes given someone gave him a mushroom two ten days ago that gave the entire camp food poisoning. Astarion, the only one who did not get food poisoning, who has completely forgotten what he foraged was the culprit, takes 0 notes.
Minthara: Battle orders and tactics. All of these fools need to get whipped into shape.
Jaheria: “Get it Fucking Together: Stop Doing this Shit.” What follows is a callout of everyone’s worst habits and decisions. One slide just says “stop snitching.”
Minsc: it’s just pictures of Boo.
This probably won’t make sense to those who haven’t read the Percy jackson books but tav (my tav specifically) and astarions relationship reminds me a lot of Percy and Annabeths relationship. Tav is Percy, loyal to a fault, falls first, believes fully in their friends and would be more than willing to die to protect others, is smart but comes off as goofy to others, strong moral compass. And Astarion is Annabeth, headstrong, stand-off-ish, brutally honest, comes off as very confident and sure of themself but is still very much learning who they are, always has a smart quip or banter ready for tav/percy, through their friendship and eventual relationship becomes softer and more open to others. Plus I can just really see Astarion saying the ‘you drool in your sleep’ line. Plus the dialogue when you lose magic and Astarion makes the comment about getting it back and my tav responded with the option to tease him back and it reminded me so much of some of the banter Percy and Annabeth have in the first book.
Anyway, I love these fictional little idiots.
Why is the Astarion fandom like ''girlies'' this ''girls'' that? I'm an Astarion boy lover over here.
Nonbinaries and Men who are fans don't count to you..? ''It's gender neutral!'' Except, it's not. The average person will look at your posts and think you only mean women, when you only mention ''girls''.
Idk man, I'm noticing how excluded I feel on fandom posts because it seems to me people are convinced only women romance him.
Heck I don't like Welch for their controversy but I'm seeing people misgender them so very often.
Asked around and my NB friends feel bothered by it as well.
Bit of a vent, might delete later.
I never thought of it that way, I grew up Christian so I’m still very new to the journey of discovering paganism and what it means to me.
Ok question for the witch/pagan side of tumblr. So you know how god-spouses are a thing some people believe in. Is there a parent/child version of that? Like is there such thing as a type of practice where the devotee sees their god as their parent/ god sees the devotee as a child? Like surely that a thing that at least someone does. I just had the thought the other day and couldn’t find anything through googling it and wondered is any more experienced witches/pagans who have heard of something like that.
That makes sense, thank you. I figured that it probably was something that others had experienced, I just hadn’t heard many people talk about it in the way that god-spoucing gets talked about.

So I saw some people online saying luci cheated on Lilith with eve because of the ‘second wife’ comment to Adam but to me that just shows that they don’t know their biblical euphemisms like I do. So in the opening dialogue Charlie tells us that luci and Lilith BOTH gave eve the apple right? That right there tells me that Lilith was very much a part of what went down between luci and eve. Cause many scholars say that they apple in the genesis story represents sex, so going by that very common belief it’s clear to me that Charlie telling us that both her parents gave eve the apple is the shows way of hunting to us that when luci taunts Adam about eve that he wasn’t cheating and that Lilith was very much involved and consenting to the encounter
So I was raised Christian and heavily involved in the church, and as such it has given me the unique ability to rant about shows like Hazbin hotel through the lense of religion. I’m no longer Christian but the information has stayed. So here are some of my rambles for Hazbin Hotel.
Lilith may not be widely known as part of the creation story but she was indead in many original biblical texts as Adam’s first wife. And the reason she leaves him in the show is also very similar to why she isn’t in most modern bibles, she was too headstrong and independent and most modern churches don’t like to give women independent and headstrong female characters
The line that Charlie sings after Sir P dies uses the words ‘the ultimate sacrifice’ and to me feels foreshadowing of the fact that he will be ‘reborn’ in heaven. Because ‘ultimate sacrifice’ is often the language used in the bible to refer to Jesus dying on the cross to save people from their sins. So that specific wordage being used to describe how he died to me is telling us that he’ll go to heaven because it implying to us that his actions were like that of Jesus. Also those words coming from Charlie is also very important because in most ways Charlie acts very Christlike and seems to me to feel like Hazbin’s stand in for Jesus. She wants to help redeem people, she doesn’t look down on people who have done bad things, she fights against those who use their religion, in those case heaven, to harm others and calls out the hypocrisy that members of the church often exhibit which are all thing that are major parts of Jesus’ story.

So I think I know why Eve isn’t seen or mentions as being in heaven, even though Adam is there. And also why Adam is the way he is. So in the most common telling of the ‘fruit of knowledge’ story Adam and Eve BOTH eat the apple, damning both of them to hell for disobeying god and damning all humans to hell unless they repent. Now in Hazbin, when Charlie is telling the story of her parents falling to hell she only mentions Eve eating the apple. Which implies Adam didn’t eat the apple, he didn’t disobey god so he still got to go to heaven. Because we know from the theme of the show that there is heavy theme of calling out that a lot of religion is about blindly obeying and that that it’s frowned upon by the angels to disobey or speak out of turn, we see it with the way Sera threatens Emily when she tries to speak out. So it would make sense that Adam not eating the apple may be the ONLY reason he got into heaven. It’s also implies that is Adam didn’t eat the apple that may explain why he sees killing souls as ok and ‘entertainment’, because he didn’t eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, meaning he might Literally not know why or how what he’s doing during extermination is bad. It might be why he has such little regard for those around him, because he literally never learned the difference between good and evil. And you can see that I lines like ‘don’t tell me your saying they don’t deserve death’ and ‘what the big deal’ when Emily finds out about the extermination that he doesn’t even remotely realise that what he’s doing is wrong. And I think that it would be really interesting in new seasons to delve into the idea that this is a god who doesn’t care about being good but rather only cares about having absolute power over all he creates. Much like the way that Christians often teach that god is like. Because from my experience that is the lesson I learned, that god want control, that he gives his love and blessing to those who blindly obey.

Adam’s favourite food being ribs is a funny fucking joke about the fact that eve was in the bible made from one of Adam’s ribs

The fact that Sera calls herself ‘the high seraphim’ bothers me because seraphim is the word for plural, the correct singular is Seraph Angel.

The fact that cherubs are seen as the lowest level of the hierarchy in Hazbin is biblically incorrect, infact they are just below Seraph angels in the hierarchy. Making them the second most in charge angels
