Die Mahangu Safari Lodge liegt 22 Kilometer südlich von Divundu entlang des westlichen Ufers des Okavango Flusses, auf dem Weg zum Mahango Nationalpark. Die Lodge eignet sich ideal als Zwischenhalt für Reisenden von und nach Botswana (Okavango Delta), dem Capriv- Zipfel und den Victoriafällen.
Mahangu Safari Lodge is situated 22 kilometers south of the town Divundu, at the western bank of the Okavango river, en route to the Mahango National Park. The lodge is a convenient stop-over for travellers to and from Botswana (Okavango Delta), the Caprivi strip as well as the Victoria Falls.

The Zambesi region is situated in the north-east of Namibia and unlike the rest of the country is blessed with good rainfalls. The old german name Caprivi or Caprivi Strip is still in common use although the region had been officially renamed to Zambezi in 2013.
Situated 16km from Rundu in the Kavango region, this gem of a lodge (with campsite) provides that necessary break from the road. It's one of the Caprivi accommodation treasures to discover - and frequent - when in the northern reaches of the country. Entering Hakusembe River Lodge at the end of the winding gravel track, you are greeted with a refreshing image of green lawn, large trees, a collection of thatched chalets and a strip of sparkling river. River birds fly up between the reeds, people row their dugout canoes on the river and soft muted sounds float over the waters from the villages on the far bank.

Der Sambesi ist mit über 2 700 Kilometer Länge die wichtigste Lebensader im südlichen Afrika. Er entspringt im Hochland von Sambia. Durch kleine Bäche und Nebenflüsse entwickelt sich der Fluss auf seiner 2 800 Kilometer langen Reise zu einem gewaltigen Strom.
In seinem Einzugsgebiet leben 40 Millionen Menschen. Sein Fischreichtum versorgt 60 Völker, sein Wasserweg verbindet sechs Länder. 1855 stieß der schottische Missionar und Abenteurer David Livingstone auf die Wasserfälle und benannte sie nach der damaligen britischen Königin Victoria.

The Zambezi is the most important lifeline in southern Africa with a length of over 2,700 kilometers. It originates in the highlands of Zambia. Through small streams and rivers, the river develops into a huge stream on its 2,800 km journey.
40 million people live in its catchment area. Its wealth of fish supplies 60 millions of peoples, its waterway connects six countries. In 1855 the Scottish missionary and adventurer David Livingstone came across the waterfalls and named them after the then British Queen Victoria.
The lure of wild Africa is felt as you drive into the north-eastern corner of Namibia. Once called the Caprivi strip and later the Caprivi region before claiming its full African heritage, the Zambezi region is a step into the heart of the continent. A tree-filled expanse dotted with villages and elephant caution signs welcome you. Unusually, this corridor containing the Bwabwata National Park is a protected home to both wildlife and people, ushering in a concept of coexistence, stewardship and synergy. Two smaller national parks, the Mudumu and Nkasa Rupara, lie along the Kwando waterway that becomes the Linyanti and Chobe rivers as it flows eastwards.

Untamed, the Zambezi River must have been a force to behold at the start of the rainy season. Spring floodwaters surged down the valleys through narrow river channels and gorges, and onto the vast floodplains at the mouth of the Zambezi, bringing nutrients and rich soils essential to the productivity and survival of the plants and animals of the delta.
Nambwa Lagoon Camp is situated in the Bwabwata National Park and offers 5 meru style tents to accommodate guests.
Every tent is equipped with an En-suite bathroom, private viewing deck and electricity.
Nambwa Lagoon Camp guests are hosted at Nambwa Tented Lodge for all their meals. Lodge facilities include an elevated viewing deck, dining area with a fire pit to watch game on the floodplains below.
