The Stranger Things soundtrack and basically the entire show is genuinely one of the best media of this century so far and I mean that. It feels like a part of my soul has been pulled from my body and shoved into a cassette tape. It feels like a hug from your best friends. It feels like the world is so much smaller and the universe so much bigger than I could physically imagine. It feels like growing up. It feels like helping others to grow up better than you did. It feels like change.

jonathan byer’s really is just that guy who thinks he’s super cool for listening to the most generic music ever like he’s sitting over there like oh i listen to real music like the clash, queen, and the smith’s. yeah so does everyone else jonathan especially mock punk emo boys like you.

DON’T COME FOR ME BUT

I ship Stancy. People always say Steve deserved better and completely ignore Nancys trauma. Everything was fine up until Barbs death then Nancy suffered from survivors guilt and blamed herself for Barbs death as if she had any idea what would happen when she went to sleep with Steve. It wasn’t her fault but she still blamed herself. She literally says ALL of this to Steve in season 2 when they’re in the bathroom at that party, she says the line “As if we didn’t kill Barb” and all Steve (and everyone else) focuses on is the fact she doesn’t love him.

We also see this in season 1. Everyone goes at Nancy for having Jonathan sleep in her bed but she had PTSD. She was scared and she couldn’t talk to anyone about it except him cause who else would believe her? Then Steve sees and (fair enough) gets the wrong idea but instead of talking to her he allows his friends to PUBLICLY slut shame her and yet people still say he deserved better.

Then Nancy and Jonathan bonded over the shared trauma/monster hunting but honestly all the characters bonded over that. And I think Murray a complete stranger telling them they were right for each other isn’t as much proof as teenagers their own age looking at Stancy and saying yeah there’s definitely something there.

My point is Nancy and Steve were really happy until Barbs death then Nancy had personal problems that Steve (no fault of his) couldn’t understand but also never really tried to. He just wanted things to go back to how they were before. Which Nancy (no fault of hers) couldn’t do anymore. Neither deserved better than the other they were both good people who made mistakes and were a classic case of right person wrong time.

And the right time is now. I don’t think it’s back tracking like some people say. They’ve both spent time apart and have grown as people. Steve has matured (you’ll NEVER see him letting anyone get slut shamed) and Nancy has (for the most part) recovered from Barbs death. I think it’s a nice full circle moment.

And that is why I ship Stancy

I want El or Jonathan to be the first people Will tells

I want Will to say something along the lines of "Lonnie was right"

I want Mike to ask why when Will confesses

I want Will to be ripped away from Mike temporarily

I want Mike to give a speech to Will just so everyone can see how much more genuine it is than when Mike speaks to El

I want Steve to be okay

I want Jonathan to atone to his creepiness from season 1

I want Nancy to have at least one tear or a shaky breath that comes close to crying

I want Eddie, even if it's flashback scenes

I want to see the scene of Mike crying on his bike

I want Robin to be okay

I want El to be independent

I want Max's trauma not to be brushed off or rushed

I want Max to be alive but not okay

I want more Lucas

I want Nancy to lay off of Steve and be independent like she wants to be

I want Dustin and Suzie to be touched into slightly more so it doesn't feel strange when she's mentioned

I want Dustin to have something of Eddie's

If Eddie comes back, I want him and Wayne reuniting

I want to sob violently, is that not clear?

I'm giving up on Stranger Things if:

Jonathan doesn't apologize for being creepy

Stancy or Jancy happens (come on duffle bags, let Nancy be independent, you can do it)

Max dies

Max's trauma is rushed or brushed off

Argyle dies

Dustin dies

Lucas dies

Steve dies

Something bad happens to Mike or Will/one of them dies

I literally can't get this thought out my head after re-watching Stranger Things, what if Jonathan took a chance with Samantha at the party would steve and Nancy still be together or would she still break up with him and just pinning over Jonathan like he did in the beginning
