I had a dream that the gems on the uh, gems 'bodies, ie-white diamonds gem on her head- is where they got killed so they come back to life (them having 2 lives) and they can either retry and try and not die (but if they die again, they die permanently) but if they succeed they will keep their bodies and powers they have but will be regular sized

Remember for the fight what Jasper promised to Steven? Continou the previous storilyne, Steven may be too upset about his dad's death, and shater Jasper by accident.....

Steven will see some memories of his mother and understand her powers and motivations better

Funny thing (and it also could be a hint) it's sound pretty similar to "I am my mo(ns)ther"

Personally, I think Connie will be the sollution for most of Steven's problems. She can understand him the best and I'm sure they will be a cuple at the end. (I just got the offical artbook..... even their face designe complete each other)

As I previously said; possibly Pink's herritage is a kind of Wish power, wich one will force others (now I'm talking especially about White Diamond) to give her/him what she/he ask for. That's how Pink-White Diamond is possible

The giant monster is definitely Steven. I don't know how will he morph into that create, but my personal oppinion is it's a self-corruption. We did not see Pink corrupt anybody, but her essence is nesecary to restore others, so she possibly can do the opposite of it

That's just for fun, but I imagined; what if it's Steven and Cactu-Steven fusion? 😹

And, for last, but certainly not least;

If you are familliar with the Pilot episode, you could realise a thing; the creators build in that episode's elements in the show; the timetravel hourglass or the punchline what Steven said to White/Garnet......

And the Pilot episode ends with Steven goes back to the begining of the episode.....

Option1.: What if Steven uses his Wish power to travel back in time, and do it better? That's an option.... But....

Option 2.: So, what if it's turns out the whole story was only a vision what Garnet showes Rose. The mother watched her son grow up..... And become a Hero. An Adult......And a better person than she was......

So, I must confess something; I usually thinking about how could be Steven Monster be "uncorrupted". There's my theory:

The Diamonds-since we know they will come to Earth-certainly will try to help him, but possibly they won't be able to do this for some reason, like;

It is a self-corruption, so maybe it's not possible

The monster will attacks them befor they could do something

White Diamond simply doesn't want to

So, if they won't, than I only see two options;

1. Connie: She could be the one, who can get close enought to the monster; phisiqualy and emotionaly too. And possibly she can convince Steven not to do this, uncorrupt himself and try to forgive for Pink/Rose and Steven as well.....

Fun fact: it would be similar to a knite-dragon situation....except the demsel in distress would be the warrior and she has to saves the dragon from himself

2. Steven himself: Despite Steven's healing power is in his soliva, I still belive his tears heals as well. As we know, Steven is very emotional. If the Chrystals could prove their love for him, maybe he will cry, healing his soul and body... just like his relationship with his loved ones...

Fun fact: The monster might be snake-like..... And, according to the gems, Steven once cried because snakes doesn't have legs...

I don't know what to expect from the show but I'm sure it will be awesome 😎

Still digging the corrupted Steven theory. Someone in a discord I’m in gave this idea of Steven, desperately trying to heal his corruption by bathing in the diamond bath water essences, but due to his powers going out of control, he wouldn’t be able to heal. I loved it so much, I had to draw it out!

i wrote a short story ^_^

so i finally finished editing the story i had written last night!

i had seen @pyralart 's drawing (see below) of corrupted steven and i couldnt help myself, it had such story potential even if the story is short.

note that i didnt immediately notice certain details other did so some were added after the initial writing ^_^;

any criticism is appreciated as im still learning and please forgive me if this story isnt the best oof,

Steven lay lashing in his bed. He was having harsh nightmares he'd only vaguely remember when he woke up, but they were enough to leave him sweating and groaning as he tried to escape them desperately in a plane of existence outside of his control.

It was only with a jolt of physical pain did he finally awake, and he had just about screamed when he did. It took him a moment to remember where he was and that he was okay....or well...mostly okay. He was feeling physical pain actually?

He yawned and stretched, not planning on returning to such painful sleep just yet. He stood up and went to go turn on the lights when he saw a patch of darkness on his arm. A bruise? he thought, wondering how much he'd been moving around in the night. He flicked the switch to the lights and got a better look at the splotch. Looked like a bruise....but when he poked it, it didnt hurt.

He inspected his other arm to see...another spot? And another! Were these spots....spreading? He looked at his legs. There were more there, growing and growing faster. He started panicking which only made it worse.

It took all of his willpower to not start crying or screaming. He didnt want to alert the others. This is probably nothing after all right?? maybe hes just hallucinating, or ate something weird and is having a reaction! Yeah, just something along those lines surely.

He wasnt entirely convinced by his panicked excuses though. He was breathing heavily and went to go put his hands on his head to ease the headache he was suffering from and squeaked at what he felt upon his head. Sharp horns. HORNS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Now he was ready to scream, but he still didnt want to be bothersome. He could fix it! Just go to the bathroom and use the diamond essences! Those will surely stop this!

He quickly walked to the bathroom, having a hard time seeing straight and walking straight too. He just about fell on his face trying to open the bathroom door.

He didnt bother turning on the light, he ran straight for the mirror and gripped the mirror with a much too tense hand as he just about slammed it open. His hand was so tense in fact that you could hear the mirror crack. He winced, the noise being louder than life yet impossible to hear over the pounding of his head. He turned the sink on and grabbed the bottles and quickly poured a few drops into the water, hands shaking. He went to go turn off the faucet but he had broke the handles before. He didn't have time for this!! He grabbed the faucet and twisted it. it kept rumbling but he would deal with it later once he was better, surely. He then splashed some water in his face, just about poking his own eye out with a claw that had sprouted from his hand.

He took a moment to pull the mirror back, accidentally cracking it some more as he finally saw himself with the help of the waters glow. He couldn't help but gasp loudly and just about pass out. His eye. Black sclera with a pink pupil. horns sticking out of his head and purple splotches ever so slowly growing and mocking him.

He stuck his face in the sink water trying even more to make it work. It did nothing. He went for the bath and started it full of panic, and tried to settle his beating heart while he waited but to no avail.

He stopped the faucet and went to go grab the diamonds bottles and ended up knocking everything off the rim of the sink in the hurry, crashing and crashing. He hoped no one could hear but the fear of them seeing him at any second was overwhelming. His mind raced like a horse as he poured the entirety of the diamond essences into the bathwater, desperately. They couldnt see him like this. They couldnt. No one could. It would be the end of the world and they'd know how much of a monster he truly was. He couldnt hide it anymore now.

He climbed into the tub, the water swirling calmly around him and illuminating the entire bathroom softly. He didnt bother to take off his clothes that he'd been wearing. He put his hands to his face, trying to not see what was happening but he wanted to know. He peeked between his fingers and watched, fearing the worst that was only getting even more worse.

The splotches still kept growing and spreading. He wanted to keep the tears from falling but the lump in his throat betrayed him and his vision blurred with tears and pain. He tried to choke out a sob uncontrollably but he couldn't even do that.

He lay paralyzed in place, uneven breathing and shifting water being the only noise in the whole universe to him. His mind spinning out of control as he drowned in his own trauma all swelling back to him like a tsunami.

He could see through the blur just enough to see his skin was almost entirely purple now. He felt pain all over as strange extra parts were ready to fly out of his painfully small skin, and he felt himself slipping away into a consciousness that he couldn't anymore comprehend. He finally let out a loud, piercing scream before succumbing to the pain and transformation.

Steven Universe Color Correction!

I was doing some screenshot edits when I had a brainfart and decided to find out the colors of the zircons and the wormy boi.

Basic Tutorial

There are a number of different types of blending modes for layers, as many of you undoubtedly know. Most screenshots from SU that are worth editing seem to have a darker shade, similar to a multiply layer.

Anyone who passed 5th grade math knows that the opposite of multiply is divide, which also happens to be a blending mode.

So, the method I used to correct my colors goes as follows:

Load your screenshot into your art program

Add a new layer and set the blending mode to divide. Hide this layer for now.

Find something on the screenshot that would be white under normal lighting. Eyes, teeth and the like.

Use the eydropper tool to copy the color on one of these areas.

Make the divide layer visible, and use the bucket/fill tool to fill the layer with the color you copied.

Tada! You should now have an edited screenshot with accurate colors.

Actual Theories

Remember when the biggest controversy in the fandom was if the prosecuting Zircon was yellow or green? Simpler times. Anywho: I used the same method, and...

@novantinuum made an interesting post about the similarities in scenery and lighting between the Wormy Boi's title sequence appearance and a number of scenes in the most recent trailer. I sampled the color from the trailer, put it on the title sequence, and well... the results speak for themselves.

Episode 15 & 16 Analysis Bits

This is a analysis post of all the little things that I, and probably some of you guys noticed in the latest 2 episodes.

The Diamond Essence

So Steven used all the diamond essence. Everyone knows that. But the contrast between how the essence blends in episode 1 and 15 is pretty interesting.

In episode 1 of SUF, the blend of essence looks very smooth, bright, and wavy. It sparkles in a very nice and harmonious way.

However, in the latest episode, the blend looks far more... fragmented. Unstable. Dark.

This is probably a representation of his mental state being far more jarred, unstable, and just unhealthy. Rather than spreading evenly and properly, his essence just spreads, like a stain. Or a corruption scar....

Steven's forms

Steven has changed shape, size and even color this season. There are some things to take note of:

Steven's form changes either uniformly or chaotically. This probably indicates weather the change is a reaction or an internal change. That's why Steven grew so chaotically and unsustainably in Growing Pains, but grew in a “healthier” way during Fragments. Not that the way he grew was healthy at all.

We know from the series that gems, including Steven, change form depending on their mental state. Steven changed into chad Steven because he felt stronger. Steven might change into the wyrm because he feels out of control, like a corrupted gem.

Pink Diamond Resembelence

Steven underwent a number of physical changes during Fragments, but one of the most significant ones was his increasing resemblance to his mother.

He's taller, about quartz height. His hair is poofier, like Pink's hair, and it even has the same tufts as hers. And the eyes? People have been pointing out that they have white pupils like White's , rather than Blue and Yellow's black pupils. And that must be deliberate.

White said she wanted to fix things. When she couldn’t, she moved ahead. Steven wants to fix things, but he can't live without a purpose. His family saw him as a burden when he couldn’t do anything. That has fed into his current state, if not created it.

Betraying Every Single Crystal Gem Value

This is probably one of the things that hit me the hardest in this episode. He managed to:

Destroy organic life

SHATTER A GEM

Enjoy violence and causing pain

Within 3 days. All things that his mother fought so hard to prevent from occurring. Perhaps this is why he has decided to do it. His mother didn’t want it, so in an attempt to prove that he's his own person, he does all of the things that would cause disapproval from anyone but Jasper.

It's convoluted and awful, but in a way it makes sense. If he does what his family wants, they will always want more. They'll never want more of this.

Greg

When Steven said “You’re just like mum”, I was astounded by how offensively Greg took it. Astounded for a good reason. He realises that Rose wasn't an entirely altruistic person.

I think this actually shows an incredible amount of strength in Greg. I feel like Steven overreacted in the situation, but Greg has grown nonetheless.

He did get carried away though. He whisked Steven through his youth, without any regard for his feelings. Instead of sitting and talking, he tried to distract Steven. And that CD... context, Greg. Context.

Also, they way that he implies that Steven was “free” shows how little he helped bring up Steven after he moved in with the gems.
