i’m not convinced that y’all who do ballet aren’t secretly in a ninja cult. like come on. you’ve got the uniform that gets cooler as you progress, you’ve got the ultra-disciplined training for a set of age-old moves, you’ve got the air of mystery (no one who doesn’t do ballet really knows what goes on in a ballet school change my mind). most of all you’ve got the fights to the death

I think Children of the Corn is inspired by the Children of God cult, which is still (I think, but hopefully not) active to this day. Usually leaders of cults would be the gods. But David Berg was the prophet like Moses. The cult was entirely about sex, which is comical because of the highly religious sounding name. Atleast, I think it was entirely about intercourse.
I'm about to cry from this revelation.

friends for years. online friends. even after we stop talking to each other for months bc of school we always found our way back to eachother, then we got hella close to the point where we called eachother siblings n shi, his parents didn't allow him 2 talk to me but he did anyway, we were talking one day and then he stopped responding bc his parents found out. a few days later he comes back like a totally different person. I don't think we'll ever meet up or be close again. How the hell am I supposed to js talk to him like what like dude it was all over js like that. he's like there but not there it's so weird like he's switching between multiple personalities like what do u even think of me? at first u start like being hella rude to me then at the end you say you wanna trust me but you know you shouldn't? like are u there or not? who r u anymore bruv, istg blud's acting like ep4 daniel its WILD. it's like the 'old' him is in there but he's not, maybe there's not an old him, maybe he really does mean allat dude, maybe he's js moved on idk. like im genuinely concerned. (he robbed me of feeling full emotions for like probably a month so lmao)

Oh ho ho! These new age people, they a little silly. I’ve encountered them many times in my travels as a wandering Bodhisattva. Sure, I appreciate their interest in the occult arts and all, but it seems like they’re off the mark a little bit. Usually they smell like home-baked tater tots, which I guess is appealing, but I really can’t get over all the funky clothes and jewelry, and crystal skulls filled with dandelions and frankincense.
