Phos and Jinx comparisons

Okay so I haven’t been able to get this out of my head since finishing Arcane and also being reminded that HnK is still on hiatus. Going to disclaimer by say: SPOILERS FOR BOTH HnK AND ARCANE

Anyway, I find that the two of them are just really similar characters in my mind in how much they’re thrown through the misery cycle.

Ok so yesterday I started Hazbin Hotel for my ballet class of all things and my immediate takeaway is:

Alastor is basically Hisoka with a moral code, no interest in sex (and from what I understand romance as well), and no pedophilia. It's all the best qualities of Hisoka without the worst qualities and I love him.

So... King’s Tide is quite the episode, huh? Honestly, I think it was a really cool season finale.

Anyway, I’m seeing a lot of people compare The Collector to Majora/Skull Kid from the Legend of Zelda, which makes sense, The Owl House feels like it’s got a lot of inspiration from LoZ. Although, as someone who hasn’t played a lot of Zelda games, I personally don’t get a similar vibe between the characters.

I personally get more of a Peter Pan feeling, and I’m not talking about the Disney version. The Collector makes me think more of the original, and honestly darker, version of the characters from the book that the Disney versions is based on.

A boy who never grew up who, whether intentionally or not, causes mischief and mayhem with the games that he plays. Whose shadow was once separated from their physical body. Harmed those who they came to no longer see as friends.

For more information on the non-Disney Peter Pan, check out Jon Solo’s video titled “The Messed-Up Origins of Peter Pan.”

Short Take: Sansa Stark is based on Persephone

Short Take: Sansa Stark Is Based On Persephone

I firstly started to read ASOIAF when I was around 14, and one the very first things that I remember about this series is how Sansa Stark can be either one of your favorite characters or one of the ones that you find the most annoying and insufferable. But as I grew up I started to realize that: "Hey, you know who she might be based on? Persephone!"

And here are my three main arguments in order to justify this theory.

Sansa's story is pretty much centered around her character development. She went from a stupid, innocent and naïve girl who dreamed about marrying a prince and living with him happily ever after to a mature, wise and cunning young lady. During the entire book series she's supposed to turn from a pawn into one of the main characters who play the game of thrones. Persephone's story, on the other hand, is sometimes used as a metaphor for the transition between girlhood and womanhood. Before being kidnapped, she was this innocent flower girl that was even refferred to as Kore. After being kidnapped, she's straight up refferred to as the Iron Queen or Dreadful Persephone. In other words, both of them had to change themselves and take initiative after a series of disturbing events that removed their innocence.

The pomegranate symbolism. There's a passage from A Storm of Sords where Petyr offers to Sansa a pomegranate. She refuses and chooses to eat a pear instead. I don't think that it's too hard to assume the fact that George R.R. Martin knew about the myth of the seasons and used the pomegranate symbolism on purpose in this scene. In some versions of the myth Persephone is either tricked to eat the pomegranate seeds or eats them without knowing the meaning of the fruit. Sansa, on the other hand, refuses the pomegranate, showing to the reader how she's no longer the stupid child who could be easily manipulated many people think she still is.

And finally, the seventh book -which still wasn't published- is titled A Dream of Spring. In this book we are supposed to see the moment when winter will finally end AND when Sansa would eventually come back home after so many years.

Respected doctor, loves his friends despite having to isolate himself sometimes due to keeping huge secret (is some kind of "monster"), like 90% in control (of becoming Hyde/making others vampires) but very calm about it because he believes he is fully in control

Knows practically nothing that's going on but is trying to find out how to protect his loved ones. Detectives (one paid, one self-proclaimed). Quite emotionally restricted (if that makes sense), cares a lot but struggles to show it over than in emergency situations

I just had a really strange and random thought. The IWTV show characters but as characters from The Rocky Horror Picture Show instead. I think one way to go about it would be: Lestat = Frank-N-Furter: love for performance, the absolute obsession with Rocky delving into toxic behaviour and abuse + Lestat in drag = yes queen. And he wants to have control over everything and do what he wants. The gory violence when killing Eddie. Hidden melancholy and vulnerability that resurfaces in the end. Louis = Rocky: made by Frank-N-Furter just like vampire Louis was "made" by Lestat, wants to understand his existence, trying to escape his maker while still having a lot of feelings for him after he died. Kinda repulsed by his own existence but also horny for it. Armand = Riff Raff and Magenta: acting subservient, but secretly being the one in control. Killing/orchestrating killing to ensure he gets what he wants. Looking back with melancholy and longing for light to come into his life but having been trapped in the darkness for so long, he follows that way

Old Daniel = not sure, maybe Dr. Scott? Old man whose appearance sets things and the downfall of power dynamics into motion, has hidden desired that get revealed when coming into contact with the vampires? Maybe also Janet and Brad a bit, being just a human who gets caught up in this but then kinda learns to love it Season 2 Claudia = Columbia: Just wants to escape this whole madness with her lover Eddie aka. Madeline who ends up dead. Knows Frank-n-furter aka Lestat never really cared for her like he cared for the subject of his obsession. When looking at Devil's Minion and those two Rocky Horror characters only I'd say Armand= Frank-N-Further and Daniel=Rocky obviously.

I think there can be many different constellations of this, haha

Cat or Cas?

A dark haired gay is in love with the light haired, dumbass with a heart of gold, hero. Loyalty to a corrupt power gets in the way off their relationship. They betray said hero and become friends again after a redemption arc and brainwashing. The show ends with a love confession that has fans rejoicing and a near death experience.

(“Hello Dean” is the “Hey Adora” of supernatural. Or vice versa.)

This person has 2 kids with an age gap of 4-5 years. They were lost late in the night. Their partner investigated the supernatural to get vengeance for their loss. Their eldest child, now an adult, found them in dark in the woods. This reunion was left as a cliffhanger.

Am I talking about Mary Winchester or Thomas Bradshaw?

This person is a cartoon protagonist on a Disney show. They have short brown hair that grows out during the show. They suddenly returned to the human world with friends during the last season finale. During this finale another world is referenced. In the human world they are reconnected with their mom/parents. They kept secrets which were eventually revealed. They worked really hard to find a way back to the magic dimension and finally succeed. During the shows finale they fought the final villain and had a sacrificial disintegration death in order to save friends and former frenemies. They woke up in a familiar magical plane and talked to a deity in a familiar form. This deity gave/offered them power. This character also has a beautiful magical girl transformation and badass fight scene. Everyone thinks they are dead, but return safe. Afterwards their magic is gone. There is a scene showing the future at the end.

Am I talking about Anne Boonchuy or Luz Noceda?
