Okay, so I'm in the Sherlock fandom. I just watched another episode. I'm scrolling through my feed and see something that mentions the Sherlock theme. I try to remember it since I've somehow forgotten, and what do I get? Gravity Falls.
Okay I’ve just remembered it and I’m like how? How did I mix this up with GRAVITY FALLS? Like of all shows, WHY GRAVITY FREAKING FALLS?

We’re created as complex beings which all truly belongs to our brains. It’s a magnificent construction of wires that keep everything running smoothly, functioning throughout our lives, never taking any time off, not even while we sleep. In layman’s terms, it all boils down to frequency of electrical impulses.
At this very moment, as you read this; your brain is fully engaged, shooting signals to every part of your body. Not until you lie down for the night will it slow down. Then, once you fall asleep, your mind will enter a stand-by state.
Knowing this little fact, you might be surprised that brain activity spikes ever so suddenly in the middle of the night. This is when the dreams start.
Entering this obscured reality, you’ll be at the mercy of your own subconscious mind. Everything in this peculiar place is a product of your imagination, but you do not control it. Places are simply pulled out of your memory and mashed into a nonsensical world, even the faces you see are merely people you remember from daily life.
Unconsciousness, fascinating as it is; can be equally terrifying. Take a moment to think of your worst nightmare, the one that jolted you back into reality, leaving your bedsheets soaked in sweat. What exactly frightened you so much? Was it the creature that lurked in the darkness, the tall slim beings with hollowed out eyes?
Peculiar, isn’t it? You couldn’t possibly have seen those monsters while you were awake. Yet, there they are, haunting your dreams. Your brain is a wonderful machine, it records everything you do, but it cannot remember the few minutes prior to falling asleep. I wonder why.
This is it. This is my legacy, the only thing anyone will see of me. This is the only thing I’ve ever posted that I’m proud of, and it was on my other blog.

i've been noticing for a while now, that a lot of gifsets with poc characters, especially athena and ana, make them look way too pale or whitewashed. this is especially the case when people do pastel/overly bright coloring. i'm not trying to call anyone out, it's a common mistake and it's very easy to go wrong, i just want to link a couple of tutorials here to help correct those mistakes.
this is a general anti-whitewashing tutorial and a good place to start.
this is a guide on how not to make your poc characters look too red/orange.
this is a tutorial on how to make pastel gifs without whitewashing poc.
i know gifmaking is tough without worrying about whitewashing, but it's a real problem, and all it takes are a couple of layers to fix it! you could also use a vector mask to see the before and after coloring of your gif, and if you're still not sure of whether it looks okay, ask other gifmakers!

Okay, I definitely ASPIRE to be a "True Fan" of Tom Hiddleston. (Is that anything like Stan Lee's "True Believers?") I really do - it would be me being my very best self. It might make both Oprah Winfrey AND Tom Hiddleston proud. Let's take a deeper look at the 'qualifications':
"If you respect his privacy." I am currently respecting his privacy. Geographic distance, time constraints and finances already take care of most of that.
"If you like his talent before everything else." Hmmm. Better look up the word 'before' - and then decide which definition to use. I am assuming that in this context, 'before' is a preposition, and I'm gonna go with the Mirriam-Webster definition stating, "preceding (someone or something) in order or in a series." Let's face it, I noticed Tom's appearance first, then got to know & appreciate his talent - I think many Hiddlestoners have a similar experience. If I am thinking in terms of the definition related to "hierarchy of importance," technically I still can’t say I fit the bill. I have to admit that since I saw his appearance first, that still ranks just slightly above everything else. If he suddenly became much lower on society’s scale of hotness, I’m pretty sure I’d still like him. He's not just a pretty face & hot bod - there's plenty of that out there by itself, but Tom's got it ALL. Which leads to the following -
"If you appreciate his personality." Heck, yeah. However I can only appreciate what he chooses to reveal. I think his public persona is as close to the real man that we're ever going to get, and I believe it is an honest persona - how else would he be? The way he is with children, his responses in interviews, the laughter, the dancing, his good advice, his whole outlook - we could all go on forever on this one.
"If you love what he does and no matter his choices and his life." - Well now, I don’t think this is related to “true fandom” of anything at all. I don’t always love what I do, and I don’t always love my choices and my life - but I am still one of MY biggest “true fans.”
I still believe I am a true fan. Maybe these standards are impossibly high. Maybe we should look at other things in life through a partiality of this lens. Maybe I agree with thingsIdidn’tknowareerotic’s Theory of Latent Hotness. Regardless, I fell down the rabbit hole of Hiddlestoning well over a year ago, and I’ve no reason to regret that happy, happy, serendipitous series of events.
May we all be so fortunate.

No lie, when I’m tired and my head hits the pillow, my brain starts thinking about whole possible scenarios about everything and trying to arrange the timelines so everything fits...causing me to get NO SLEEP!!! But it’s okay sometimes, it’s where I get some of my best fanfic ideas.
What I say: "I'm fine"
What I mean: "How long had Maddie been suffering Doug's abuse? Like we know she'd been with him since she was nineteen but we have no discernable timeline for when the abuse started or for when it worsened. One of the only things we get is the comment Doug made about the chip still being there from the last time they used the wine glasses at their wedding. We also know there were things her parents never liked about him, things that even a teenaged Buck picked up on, that got worse over the last year or so before she fled, so she had to have been suffering some extent of the abuse from the very beginning which gives me a follow up question. Did she marry him to get away from her parents, she didn't want to leave Buck, but we're getting more and more evidence that the Buckley Parents are garbage so maybe she married him to get away from them. Maybe it was her escaping one toxic, abusive relationship and unknowingly hopping into a different one. If she married him at nineteen or twenty like I think she did then she'd had to have been going through this for a number of years, supported at least a little by the fact that Maddie says that the flue incident was their fourth anniversary. So basically I'm getting the impression that she was being abused pretty much from the start but stayed because A)she thought it was normal. B)wanted, or needed, to get out of her parents house. C)didn't see it as abuse. Or D)all of the above. And this is exactly why I can't sleep at night, because I'm awake crying over Maddie Buckley."
It’s currently 7:45 am, which means I just spent my entire night working on chapter three of my Madney story. I love how I had the option to either get a good nights rest or write fanfiction, and my brain immediately chose fanfiction. 😗✌🏼
