“i   think   i’ve   decided   that   you   don’t   get   my   all   powerful   self-knowledge.”   she   states,   her   hands   in   her   pocket,   shrugs   the   words   off.   brian   is   not   a   simple   individual.   underneath   the   surface   there   is   so   much.   there   is   a   lot   heather   knows.   she   feels.   reflecting   back   from   him   to   her.   like   a   mirror.   she   doesn’t   take   it   personally,   she   finds   it   intriguing.   a   fun   little   game,   being   close   to   him   and   picking   him   apart.   him   unaware   of   such   a   thing.   “-you   can   be   sarcastic   all   you   want,   but   my   gloomy   and   depressed   persona   will   not   be   broken   nor   shaken  …   i’ve   endured   worse   than   you,   brian   walker.   i’ll   survive.”  

     ❝ YOU SAYING YOU NEVER HAVE ANY FUN ? ❞  &  he says the last word like it means something else, his eyebrows waggling suggestively just in case his tone was too subtle for heather catch.  but while brian’s not the brightest bulb or what-the-fuck-ever the saying is, he’s smart enough to know that heather doesn’t miss much with those big round moonglow eyes of hers.  honestly, he can’t figure out why she’s still here, why she hasn’t realized just how far beneath her he really is just yet.  brian doesn’t exactly try to hide who he is  —  he prefers to wear it all out in your face with his lewd comments  &  his big meaningless tattoos  &  his trailer trash wardrobe.  it’s usually enough to send smart people running for the hills the minute they catch sight of him.                                                              but heather’s still here.  &  honestly, maybe she’s doing the exact same thing as he is with her whole goth getup  &  addams-family makeup.  but the difference is, he knows how to have a good time with it ;  how to use his persona to attract the right kind of trouble.  it remains to be seen whether the same can be said of heather.  &  brian leans in, nudges her with an elbow, always teasing, prodding, poking.  always pushing to see just how far he can go before he gets snapped back at.  ❝ you ever tried getting drunk ?  smoking weed ?  fucking ?  that shit always manages to put a smile on my face.  &  who knows, getting some might do you a little good. ❞
