Used to live next door to this Hispanic family...and I made friends with two girls named Wendy and Cristy...Wendy sadly had a facial deformity and one time I remember she got sick...idk with what...but I hate they have moved because of it...this was so long ago like 6 or 7 years ago...I remember one time Wendy was playing with friends as I was coming back from somewhere with my dad...just as I stepped out, I see Wendy approaching me for a hug....she was SUCH a sweet girl, and I miss her...idk where they have moved now but I feel like they don't live here in this apartment complex anymore...
I also remember one time, it snowed, and the whole family was out playing in it. Wendy and Cristy were making a snowman, and it was fun to watch them from my window. They used a whole carrot for the nose and these beads for the eyes. Once it started getting warmer, I watch everyday of that snowman melting away...
Then...the day came for them to move. I opened my window, just seeing Wendy had walked by and asked her what's going on. She just told they were moving, she didn't know why. I felt a pang of sadness in my chest, knowing this will be the last time I'll ever see them again.
Wendy surprisingly reminds me of myself when I was a little girl--sweet and innocent...I'm just hoping she is alive and doing well...đ
New Character!
Meet Adira Guerrero, Ginâs BFF! Adira is a tall, rather muscular and withdrawn girl who only talks to a handful of people, Gin being part of them. She is tough yet sweet at times. She is a part of a group of triplets, being the middle child. She is omnisexual and her and Gin are the spiciest of Latinas!
She likes to play games, design her hair in various hairstyles, cook, work out and critiquing bad movies. Her right eye is covered due to a scar that was left behind by an ex that she had. The guy almost got ripped apart by Gin, teehee- Adira doesnât really talk to Randy or Howard, she only knows of them due to Gin since Gin is one of those âfloaterâ kids.
She is part British, part Hispanic, her family taking her motherâs last name, Guerrero. Fun fact, I actually made her and her sisters Viceroyâs nieces! In this version, Viceroy changed his last name due to reasons but is still in contact with his family and adores his nieces no matter how chaotic they may be.
She and Gin hang out often, going out for food, movies, or just a walk in the park. They love to play with each otherâs hair due to how fluffy (Gin) or curly (Adira, when not straightened) is.
Oh, have the gals in their Halloween costumes:
As you can see, Gin is dressed as Jack Skellington and Adira as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. They both love to match costumes and do so almost every Halloween.
Gin is extremely clingy to those she claims are her friends. In her primary friend group (where Adira be), she is the most clingy, often holding her friendâs hands, hugging them or getting them to pet her head. With Randy and Howard, she still touchy but not to that extent, at most she would use Howard to rest her elbow or pat Randyâs shoulder or head. When it comes to people she dislikes, doesnât know very well or at all, she avoids physical touch like the plague!

I've loved my time here in LA with colby and sam and all their friends but i recently fell in a funk. I miss my family and my friends.
you were scrolling through your photos and snapchat memories of your time in your hometown and started to feel really homesick, you began to cry, you laid back on you side and cried.
you missed your mom's delicious cooking, how she would make handmade tortillas, or her salsa picante. you didnt have that here and nor did anyone make it, you didnt have any hispanic friends in LA. You would only hang out with sam and colby's friends
you liked them but they sometimes including colby didnt understand your jokes or references. it sometimes pained you that you felt out of place around them.
you connected your speaker in the room that was given to you when you first moved to their house, and a song that reminded you of your dad started to play; its your dad's favorite song, and you couldn't control the sadness that flowed through your body
you spent a good two hours just crying and eventually calmed down but you were puffy eyed and your breathing was skipped
you sat up to recollect your self before colby came home and would come in your room, until another song started to play from your playlist, a heart wrenching song that reminded you of your beloved parents.
you started to cry again, you leaned back to the head board and clutched your body as you were singing to the lyrics
Colby came in the room all happy and giddy until he saw you crying
"oh my god! y/n are you okay? are you hurt? does something hurt?"
he was panicking trying to figure out why you were crying.
"no... nothings wrong" you got up quickly and turned around to wipe your face. he also got up to try to look at you but you kept avoiding him until he grabbed you face and made you look at him
"y/n.. somethings wrong, please just tell me"
"you wont understand" "just try me"
you mustered up the courage to tell him the truth. you looked at him and started to tear up again
"i-i just feel... i just started to feel homesick, thats all" colby was relieved that it wasnt anything life threatening
"oh, well why is that?"
"i dont know... i just miss home, like i really do. my family and friends, my culture and the food, everything" you looked at how he felt hurt about how you were talking about missing your family and friends.
"dont get me wrong, i love being here with you, you make being here so bearable but i just miss my people.. thats all" you half smiled
"no.. yeah i get that, is there anything i can do to make you feel better?"
"no its fine, i just need a couple minutes alone thats all"
"yeah yeah sure... ill be downstairs if you need me alright?"
you kissed him and hugged him tightly, feeling so safe in his arms.
"thank you, i love you"
"i love you too" he walked out and closed the door, feeling terrible that you felt that way, he wished he could do something about your homesickness
COLBY
as i walked back downstairs to sit with sam on the couch, he noticed my upset mood.
"Everything alright dude?" "uh.. yeah its just y/n is feeling homesick and sorta on the verge of going back home"
"oh shit dude, i definitely know what she's feeling" " do you think we've made her not feel at home? you think I haven't made her feel like home?" " i mean we haven't really done anything to make her feel at home"
"shit dude youre right, we haven't, i feel like the worst boyfriend ever. cant even make my girlfriend feel loved or feel like this is her home"
i started to think about ways to make her feel at home, i can cook her favorite food? no its too late for that, its almost 8
"what should i do sam?" "how about you take her to the other side of LA, take her some place authentic, not might be like where she's from but its the closest thing we got"
"yeah yeah you're right, let me go tell her!"
i ran upstairs and came up to her door, softly knocked to let her know i was coming in, she was still there in bed listening to her spanish music.
"hey y/n.. how you holding up?" "hi.. im doing alright, still trying to get my breathing under control" she let out a dry giggle
i caressed her face admiring her glossy eyes and her stained cheeks, leaning down to kiss her on her forehead, " i was thinking-" she sat up "what were you thinking"
"how about i take you out to eat some place special?" "ehh im not in the mood to eat colby" "no cmon i know a place, trust me"
Y/N
he looked at me with pleading eyes, "sure why not"
"alright get reading in ten minutes" "okay" you smiled and got up to get ready, he left the room to let you get dressed
you wore some ripped jeans with your white Mexico world cup jersey, and some black platform converse. added some mascara and some lip balm before leaving you grabbed your purse
you went downstairs and was greeted by colby waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs. "hey y/n!"
"hey sam"
"you ready to go babe?"
"yes of course!"
"but before we leave i need you to put this on"
he was holding a blindfold, you looked at him confused and he went behind you to put the blindfold on, you were about to protest before he kissed your cheek and wrapped the blindfold around your eyes
"alright lets go, bye sam!"
you headed out the door, stumbling trying to remember all the steps to get to the car, colby opened the car door and helped you inside.
"was the blindfold really necessary?" "yeah babe, i want to surprise you"
"it wont really be a surprise if we go to in n out" he laughed at the assumption
"how about i put some music on?" "hmm yeah okay" colby connected his phone to the car's bluetooth and a song you recognized easily came on. you started to sing along to song. Colby created a playlist on your favorite spanish-speaking songs. He had to stalk your public Spotify playlist to be able to create the playlist.
"omg i love this song!!" you started to sing the song, pointing the lyrics to Colby not knowing how much of a distraction you are creating for him on the road.
still with the blindfold on you continue to sing all the songs that played, surprised how many spanish songs kept coming on
"omg how do you know these songs?!" "did you stalk my spotify?" you let out a laugh, "gosh y/n no I didn't" yes he did
you laughed at him, knowing well that this is from your playlist, or you thought it was just your playlist he started to play.
"are we there yet?" "no"
"are we there yet now?" "almost"
"what about now?" "actually yeah we are"
"why did it take you so long to drive to in n out if its only a 15 minute drive from the house?"
as you heard opening his side of the door, he rushed over to open your door, "well babe, we arent actually at in n out"
confused, wondering where else he would have taken you
"well.. where are we-" you started to smell the char smell of meat... taco meat.
"omg it smells so good.. where are we..?"
"well let me cross you over the street to find out" "what?"
you started to take off the blindfold until he stopped you, "ah ah ahh, no taking this off yet until i say so" "omg colby where are we"
he guided you across the street, smelling everything. it smelled like home almost, you started to hear the steam of a grill and the music that you grew up listening to. Hearing chatter among people.. in spanish?
"colby... where are we?"
colby finally let go of you and starting to take the blind fold off of you, you adjust to the light and rubbing your eyes a bit to clearly see the scene.
taqueros and vendedores making and selling snacks and meals. hearing them laugh, sing, and speak spanish.
"oh my god.." you said under your breath looking all over, small tears start to well up. "colby.. what is this?"
"i felt really bad that you were feeling homesick, and i hate seeing you cry, so i thought maybe i try to bring home to you... I know this isnt exactly home but i love you so much that i would do anything for you and to show you how much you mean to me, i dont want you to go home, i want to always make you happy y/n"
your tears finally fell, you fully realized how special and loving colby was, you felt so warm and loved.
"Colby... this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me, you have no idea how much this means to me, and for you to actually consider this idea really brings me to tears, i am so completely in love with you"
you grabbed his head and kissed him, deepening the kiss and full engulf his lips. you let go and admire his big beautiful eyes.
"gosh.. well cmon lets eat something, what kind of tacos do you want babe?" "ehh i have no clue what to get, everything looks so good, how about you order me something"
you smiled at him, wondering how did you get so lucky to have someone so special such as colby brock
you turned over to the taquero and smiled at him, the man smiling back at you and asking what you what would you like to eat.
Felicia Rose
I want to go over some lore and facts regarding Felicia in Cryas Darkstalkers.đș First things first, you might have noticed the last name of 'Rose' for her. Well, one thing I am changing regarding this mythos is Sister Rose. In Cryas Darkstalkers, she is now known as Ramona Rose. While she does run a small orphanage, it is not one in connection with Christianity. Simply put, I am removing any hint of Christianity/Catholicism in Felicia's backstory for quite honestly personal reasons. The orphanage is located in a rural town in New Mexico, one that will likely take inspiration from Taos, NM. Ramona Rose in this mythos is in fact a kind, hardy Mexican woman who made a life for herself in the states.
Speaking of ethnicity, one big thing for Felicia in Cryas Darkstalkers is that she is Hispanic, with part of her heritage being Mexican. This is in part that her biological parents are both of Hispanic origins, with her mother being a Mexican Catfolk and her father being from a country in Central America. I have yet to actually decide which one, but just know her biological father is from somewhere there.
'Catfolk' you say? Yeah, in this mythos the whole 'Catwoman' thing is just being changed to where this race of cat like humanoids are just known as Catfolk. There are female and male ones because quite frankly the lore of the Catwomen in the OG lore was really fucking stupid. Another thing that is being changed that can be seen with Felicia's design her is the change of the fur to make them feel more cat like rather than naked women with some bits of fur here and there. In the case of Felicia, her fur even grows in a way where it looks like she has a skirt and a crop top. Her hair is changed in a style to more express her Hispanic/Mexican heritage. Another neat detail is how her eye isn't white, but a color similar to her iris. Was a neat detail an artist did with a commission they did of Felicia.

Do her parents have names? No, cause quite honestly, they are not too important to her backstory beyond her being born and the circumstances of how she ended up in the US, in New Mexico, and eventually at the doorsteps of Rose's orphanage. Basically, her parents sought to move the US for a better chance at life, as many from Central America are one to do. However, before they could cross the border, they were spotted by guards. While her mother could outrun the guards, her father couldn't. Despite not wanting to leave him, he begged her to go as who knows what they would do to her or the baby since they were non-human. Having crossed in the state of New Mexico, Felicia's mother contemplated on things such how she is gonna support the child, the loss of her husband, and these new circumstances in a new country with no support. Eventually, passing through a town, she decided the best thing was to leave her daughter in the hands of an orphanage as she believed she couldn't provide well for the baby. That was the last her mother ever saw the child.
When the baby was found, it was taken in. The orphanage was small, only being aided by her friends who volunteered time, but Ramona did her best to make sure the children were cared for and found good homes. When the wrappings were unfurled, all were surprised by the appearance of the baby: it was a Darkstalker! There was an argument that unfolded as Ramona and her friends disagreed about what to do for the child. Ramona refused to abandon the baby because despite it being non-human, she saw it as a poor, lost child that needed guidance. She was adamantly against putting it back on the streets for the elements to take care of. While her friends couldn't convince her on that, they did bring up a good point: who is gonna adopt a monster? Maybe some rich folk if they want an exotic pet or those freak show organizers. Ramona was revolted by those thoughts, but that was a good point. After thinking about it, she decided she would raise the little baby as her own daughter. Deciding on the name Felicia, little Felicia Rose would grow up in a modest, but loving home. Always aiding her mother around with chores and the orphanage, she got to make a lot of friends with the kids that came in. Overtime, Ramona's friends, neighbors, and eventually the community grew to accept the Catfolk as part of the community, to varying degrees.
As she grew up, she would be introduced to all sorts of forms entertainment, like television shows, cinemas, comics, festivals, and plays. Felicia loved seeing all these as she got to see all kinds of people and characters not only put on an entertaining show, but also see how she, her mother, and others connected with these performers. While Felicia's home life was generally a loving household, she was made aware of the general bias people have against those who aren't human. In a way, she was lucky. Even with her luck, she felt her life still shows that connection with humans and Darkstalkers was possible. 'We might be outwardly different, but we all have dreams, emotions, aspirations, and a desire to connect with others', Felicia would think. As this dream kept burning in the adolescent to adulthood, she eventually decided that she would become a star. Inspired by her hero 'El Santo', she was aware how the famous luchador was loved by the entirety of Mexico. With such status, she could hold influence to show the world that Darkstalkers are not just monsters but living beings with hearts and souls who also want to live. So, she set out to make her dream a reality. It was going to be tough, but she was willing to put her all into achieving this dream!
Some other notes about Felicia:
Felicia is bilingual in Spanish and English. With Spanish as her first language, she has an accent.
As mentioned, she is a mega fan of the luchador El Santo. So strong is her admiration, she went out of her way to watch his films, collect comics, and any memorabilia she could with her allowance.
Felicia in Cryas Darkstalkers is quite tall at 5'11'. Not only tall, but very fit and strong considering her catfolk genes.
Felicia's Birthday is held at around the month of February as that was when she was found at the orphanage. As for the date, it is held on the 5th. She was born in the year 1967.
Her tongue is like that of a cat, so thus is covered with papillae.
When thrown into pure rage, Felicia can go into a feral state like a big cat.
She is incredibly fast on her feet, with her kicks hitting incredibly hard.

can we please get more hispanic representation in movies?

Something that always makes me cringe without fail is when authors on here write a Hispanic reader but with the most basic google translate sentences. Iâm a no sabo kid, born and raised in a mixed white-Mexican household. A little part of me DIES when inaccurate stereotypes of Hispanic/latin people are portrayed and inaccurate representation of the language and the vernacular of our language. I donât mind if people want to write for Hispanic readers - please feel free! but do not consult just google translate for help or have a character randomly insert Spanish into a completely English conversation - itâs lazy and poor writing. Please just review and put effort and research into your writing if you are writing about a culture or group that is not yours.
Furthermore - the fetishization of the Spanish language is horrible and I wish people would stop. Stop writing things like âhe was so overcome with pleasure he slipped into his native tongueâ. Most people who are experienced or just know about sexual pleasure know that when it over takes you - unless you are inarticulate in the language you were speaking before hand(most cases English) you are not likely to âslip into your native tongueâ just from pleasure. Maybe in some cases - however still not that often. Iâm glad that characters such as Miguel from ATSV are bringing more representation and diversity into the fandom but please know the boundaries for your smut before you start typing something like that. Because I know for me, nothing makes me exit off of a fic faster than seeing something like that especially when itâs of my own culture and my parents native language.

bakugo katsuki x hispanic!femreader.
this is VERY self indulgent sorry :,)
yes this is another cowboy bakugo, deal with it.
fluff, chaos, a lil ooc baku if you squint
~
bakugo meeting your huge family at a carne asada your dad decided to throw one random saturday night. but then again the random carne asadas are always the best.
you have 5 siblings, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. it goes older sister, older brother, you, little brother, little sister and baby brother. you guys are pretty close in age, 22, 19, 18, 11, 7 and the latest bundle of joy is 10 months. your baby brother was definitely a surprise, your mother saying âes la bendiciĂłn de diosâ but you and your older siblings knew better and just rolled your eyes.
your parents had met bakugo about 6 months into your relationship and they were quite fond of him to say the least. you were visiting your parents when your dad told you about the carne asada and said âle dijiste a katsuki que viniera?â and when you said no he made you call him to tell him.
katsuki was freaking out. he didnât know what to wear, what to bring or how to act. after all he was FINALLY meeting your entire family after 2 years. you told him to calm down, that your parents already loved him and how you were sure the rest of your family would love him also.
with that being said, here he was, watching you give your younger siblings a hug after they ran out as soon as they saw katsukis truck pull up. he gets out and sees you comforting your little sister, jackie, with tears streaming down her face.
âi thought we were never going to see you again.â she sobs into your neck and you just chuckle. you grab her cheeks and make her face you and smile, âi would never leave you mi reyna, sabes que te quiero muchĂsimos verdad?â and she just nods.
your little brother, augustine, runs and gives katsuki a hug. katsuki chuckles and ruffles his hair. âhey there little man, finally got the braces huh?â auggie smiles, showing the metal in his mouth, and nods his head violently which makes katsuki laugh.
as youâre walking up to the door, your older sister, paula, walks out with your baby brother in her arms. you squeal and quickly take him from her arms.
âhi papi! sissy missed you so much hermosuro!â you say in your baby voice, kissing him all over the face. your baby brother, josiah (aka j or baby j), was dressed like a little vaquero; a dress up shirt, fancy jeans, boots, a belt and a hat. he just giggles as you smother him with kisses.
âlook who finally decided to show upâ pau says with her hands on her hips. you roll your eyes and adjust j on to your other hip. âdad said the party started at 6, itâs only 7:30 im sure we didnât miss much.â pau says whatever and leads you both to the back.
katsuki is following you like a lost puppy until he feels someone take off his hat and he quickly turns around and sees your older brother oscar.
âdonde vas?â he says as he puts his hat on and katsuki smiles, giving him a hug. âitâs been so long since iâve seen you man.â he laughs.
oscar nods and chuckles, âever since you and my sister moved in together it feels like i see you less and lessâ katsuki agrees and they both just conversate about random things. that is until youâre practically dragging him to the backyard because your parents were asking for him.
he greets your dad with a firm handshake and your mom with a hug, and they ask how it is living with their princess. as youâre turned away from him he makes hand motions to say that youâre crazy and they both laugh.
âbueno pues it was nice seeing you mijoâ your mom says and he says bye to them.
and now it was time for him to meet your whole family. he greets your tĂos, tĂas and primos and it seems that they like him for the most part. they asked how he had met you, how long you two have been dating, if he wanted kids with you, what he did for a living and other very personal questions. they were all pleased to here that he was a rancher for a living.
after heâs done greeting them you insist that he comes and dances with you which he could already tell you had a few drinks but he agrees none the less. he was so glad you had taught him how to dance norteñas as dime lo que piensas plays loudly through the speakers. you sing along loudly with a beer in your hand and he just smiles and laughs at how you slur your words.
