Normalize This - Tumblr Posts

I have a friend who is a cis male, and is very troubled about how being a sub and male, not only because of society standars, he says the kink community has double standars as well. He will not say it outloud but he pointed out that all women bodies are appreciated but if a man is hairy or fat gets dismissed as a weirdo... How can I re-assure him he's wrong? he keeps pointing how hot domme women are always escorts and not so hot domme women hook up with hot men.

i think what you mean is he thinks men subbing for women is weird (forgive me if i'm wrong English is not my first language) not all women bodies are appreciated neither are men bodies no matter what body type you are, you are still hated on. doming and subing is not just sex, sometimes the need to dom comes from childhood. dom women are just women who want to take care of someone or sometimes many people. sub men are just me who want to be taken care of by someone or sometimes many people both are perfectly okay and normal men and woman have their own problems, that does not mean we should put each other down that means we should accept each other. I hope this helped tell me how it goes with your friend šŸ˜Š

normalize whispering and muttering and mouthing words to yourself in public

You are allowed to exist alone in public btw. You're allowed to go to the movies alone and go out to eat alone and hang out in a park alone and go for a walk alone and whatever else. It isn't weird or creepy, it doesn't make you lonely or a loser or whatever. You are allowed to just exist as yourself.

Thank you for your message ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Now a message for my past younger self:

Agree 100%

That being said, part of the problem with talking about it is that menstrual cycles can be so different from person to person. I have know people that hardly notice theirs and others have pain so bad that they vomit. Many factors go into how we physically, mentally and emotionally are impacted by our periods. We need to understand that our own personal truths do not have to mirror the experiences of others so we can hear what they are sharing with us instead of minimizing their experience.

I know this sounds like an obvious duh, but Iā€™ll be uncomfortably honest and admit that my 18 year old self didnā€™t understand this. I remember telling people PMS wasnā€™t realā€¦ and I believed that at one point because I hadnā€™t experienced it yet. I remember judging people that I believed were exaggerating simply because their experience was much different from mine. I just honestly didnā€™t understand that we could experience the ā€œsameā€ thing so differently.

We absolutely need to talk about menstrual cycles more, but requires hearing and believing the experiences of others when they may differ from our own. Whether is menstrual cycles, child birth, identity, boundaries, and a million other topics, we need to understand that our truth is ours and someone elseā€™s truth is theirs and respect that. I wish I had learned that much younger than I did.

we as a society don't adequately address how physically, emotionally, and mentally hard the menstrual cycle is on a woman's body and we really should be talking about this

*not sure if I already posted this but-*

ā€œWe should normalize and be accepting of the sexual part of lesbian relationships without calling every lesbian a predatorā€ and ā€œnot all lesbian relationships are sexual and even in sexual lesbian relationships not everything about it is sexualā€ are ideas that can and should co exist btw

Fucking pisses me off how someone can post the best fucking work in the universe and get 5 likes and a single reblog, while their silly doodle that had no effort put in it can break the integer limit.
