Soooo... It's more like an AU thing, everyone survives war, Voldy is dead and they're all happy and gay.
It's mostly focused on raising Harry and Luna. James is with Regulus, Lily is in a relationship with Mary and Pandora (Xeno is Panda's ex, but they're besties). They all live in a big house in Godric's hollow. Lily and Reg have a bookshop-cafe (Remus is a waiter) James is a Quidditch professional. Pandora and Sybill do experiments with spells, potions etc. and write articles to Quibbler. Peter (Sybill's partner) owns a bakery, where James helps him when he retires from Quidditch. Mary and Sirius have a gay bar in town (Mary is a waiter/singer and Sirius is a bartender). Marlene, Dorcas and Emmeline live in London and are aurors. Barty and Evan sometimes help out in both cafe and bar (they're not allowed into Pete's bakery after the flour and milk incident).
Reg, Lily and Panda are animagi, Lily is a ginger cat, Panda is a bunny and Reg is aaaaa... BLACK CAT! (I'm being very original again).
Sirius is genderfluid and uses all pronouns, Panda uses also uses any except for he/him, Remus and Reggie are transmasc, Mary is transfemme, Xeno uses they/them, Peter he/they
Pandora is Evan's twin

and I mean while this fandom has become super diverse, it still seems like aro, ace, and trans headcanons are still super unpopular (since, just like every other fandom out there, one of the main aspects of the fandom is just shipping, and no one ever wants hc that a character is in a queerplatonic relationship)
i think Peter is the only character that's widely accepted ace/aroace and he's in so little content. and ik quite a lot of people headcanon Sirius as nonbinary/genderqueer but we really don't have many popular headcanons for transmasculine people which really sucks :/

-Sirius calls Regulus ‘’lus’’ because it’s his childhood nickname. Only Sirius is aloud to call him that, even James can’t. He once tried and he was sure Regulus was going to cut his head off from the look on his face.
-Regulus calls Sirius ‘’rius’’ because when he was younger he had a hard time saying Sirius’s name and so it ended up sounding like ‘’rius’’ and it just kind of stayed. Again, only Regulus is aloud to call him that.
-they have a chat where they hate on their parents and the Black family
-they have a lot of insides that people don’t get so sometimes a brother will say a random word in the middle of a conversation and both will just start laughing uncontrollably while everyone is looking at them like they’re crazy (well more like Sirius starts laughing uncontrollably while Regulus snorts)
-they found it rather funny when they became animagus ‘cause like themselves their animagus are so different and somehow so similar

But he couldn't smile. This was too important, too life-changing. Sirius's reaction was something that had haunted his dreams. Made him re-think his entire decision to be true to himself. Because he couldn't lose Sirius. Sirius was everything.
But he knew he had to be honest with himself and Sirius.
"We have a lot in common," he choked out, knowing he'd have to explain more, struggling to figure out how.
"All...alright," Sirius nodded, finally realizing that this wasn't a casual conversation. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"We...well, he- I just-" But he couldn't do it. He couldn't say the words. He was so scared.
"Are you leaving me for my brother?" Sirius asked, looking almost as terrified as he was, now.
"What?" he shouted, so shocked he forgot to be scared. "No! No, Sirius, I- I'm trans!"
Sirius let out a visible breath, relief clear on his features. "Oh! Oh, well that's- that's much better!" He said, grinning. "Alright! That's great, babe, thank you for telling me! Are you changing your name? Ooo, do you need help picking one? What about Thor-?"
"Remus," Remus mumbled, fighting back a grin. "I'm Remus."
"Remus," Sirius murmured, smiling adoringly. "I love it. Love you."

So the first month after they started dating James had no idea what to do. He grew up an only child, lived with other guys for so long, and never really gave any thought to it. That first time he felt so useless but cuddled Reg as much as possible and fulfilled all of his requests for food or water or medicine. After that he did a lot of research and asked his friends about how to help. Now when Reg gets it, he makes sure change the sheets and fluff the pillows on their bed so he feels extra cozy. He runs him baths with essential oils and candles and washes his hair or rubs his shoulders during them. He’s learned that Reg craves salty foods the most and he’s cooking all of his favorite meals for him. The cramps still come and there’s nothing he can do to stop them so he just makes sure that Reg has everything he wants and lays with him and rubs his belly gently when it’s really bad.

Regulus fiddles with the Lego in his hand, staring fixedly at the half-finished Millennium Falcon on the coffee table, illuminated only by the fairy lights Lily brought with her when she moved in. His eyes droop, anxiety pressing in on the outskirts of his mind and keeping desperately needed sleep away. The ungodly early time blinks at him from the oven display, taunting Regulus from the kitchen.
He wishes he could sleep, he really does. He just can’t stop thinking. So much is happening tomorrow, so many things will change—
“Love?”
Regulus blinks. Lily is standing in the hall entrance, the throw from their bed wrapped around her shoulders. Her hair is sleep-mussed, auburn curls frizzy where they frame her face. She rubs at her eye, suppressing a yawn.
“Did I wake you?” Regulus sets the Lego down with a click against the wood, his voice nearly a whisper. “I’m sorry, you should go back to bed—”
Lily shuffles over to the coffee table, plopping down on the floor next to him and nudging him with her shoulder. “No, shut up. I’m awake now.”
“Lily…”
She ignores him, blinking quickly to rid the sleep from her eyes. “So, what step are we on?”
Regulus sighs in defeat and hands her the pamphlet with the instructions, and they get to work, slowly piecing together the Millennium Falcon shoulder to shoulder like a well-oiled machine.
This isn’t new. They’ve done this many nights, have been doing this for years. It started when he was sixteen. Those first few months after Lily and her parents took him in following his transphobic mother’s disownment, he could barely sleep. More often than not, he’d wake in a cold sweat with tears in his eyes, memories and nightmares alike haunting him. It was Lily’s dad who started buying him Legos. ‘Something to keep your mind busy,’ he had said.
And Ciarán Evans is a brilliant, brilliant man, because it worked. The tedium and concentration keeps his mind occupied and hands busy, letting him build and build until finally, he can sleep. Lily helps, too. She insists on joining him on nights like this, keeping him company while she helps him work on whichever new set he’s started. He has fewer nightmares now, seven years later, but whenever he does, well. He has his Legos, and he has his Lily.
She’s quiet where she sits next to him, sticking two grey bricks together with a soft click. She hasn’t spoken a word, hasn’t even acknowledged the fact that Regulus should be in bed, tonight most especially. He’s having surgery tomorrow for Christ’s sake, she should be reprimanding him. He knows that she won’t. Lily always waits until he breaks the silence, lets him decide whether he wants to at all. Regulus loves her even more for it.
A beat. Maybe two. “I don’t know why I’m scared.”
Lily hums in acknowledgment, eyes still glued on the model before them. Regulus sighs shakily and sets down the pieces in his hands. “I’ve wanted top surgery forever, you know? I need it, really. I just…”
“Maybe that’s why you’re scared,” Lily offers. “Maybe you’re scared of the possibility that something will change in a bad way, that this magical idea you have of how everything will go won’t happen.”
He swallows, drumming his fingers on the table. “Maybe. I just feel stupid.”
“Regulus,” she says, finally turning to look at him. Her eyes are bright and determined, and his breath catches at the sight. “You’ve never done well with change, you’re not stupid.”
“I know, but—”
“Nope, no buts. Do you really think I wouldn’t tell you if you were being stupid? Because I love you, but I would.”
Regulus huffs a laugh, leaning his head on her shoulder. “I know you would. S’why I love you so much.”
“Regulus Black being sappy? The world must have ended.”
“Oh, fuck off,” he says, nudging his girlfriend’s shoulder with his own. She chuckles, reaching up to run her fingers through his hair. Regulus sighs softly, eyes fluttering shut.
Lily presses a little kiss to the top of his head. “Think you can sleep now?”
“Mm, yeah, probably.”
“Good.” She sits up, disrupting their impromptu cuddle. “Because you need to sleep. You have surgery tomorrow at ten, and look at the time—”
“I was wondering when you would go mother hen on me,” he says with a small smile, and Lily rolls her eyes fondly.
“Worrying for your health is not mother henning.”
“Of course, dear.”
She scoffs lightly and stands, offering her hand to Regulus and pulling him to his feet. Before he can do anything else, Lily tugs him into a tight hug, a hand cupping the back of his neck and pulling him close. He buries his face in her hair, eyes fluttering shut.
Lily kisses him on the head again. “I love you.”
“I love you too, despite your mother henning.”
