I think I'm gonna speak for a lot of Anarchists when I say this... stop trying to shove us in political boxes. Anarchy, by definition, is the REJECTION of those political boxes.

Do I see the Republican general view on some issues? Yes. Do I agree with the liberal mindset on other issues? Yes.

That doesn't make me Democratic OR Republican. That doesn't make me left wing, right wing, liberal or conservative.

It makes me a person with a conscience, moral code, opinion and belief. It makes me human. For the love of Jesus Christ of Nazareth PLEASE stop trying to categorize it and categorize me. People are so much more than labels, stereotypes and titles.

I'm tired of rebellion only being acceptable if you rebel in a politically correct fashion.

I'm tired of hate speech being acceptable as long as it's directed at the "correct group."

I'm tired of watching the church bow down to deranged elitists and corrupt government.

I'm tired of truth being manipulated.

I'm tired of cancel culture being normalized.

I'm tired of intolerance being tolerated.

I'm tired of skin color being a factor in judging and loving others.

I'm tired of equality turning into revenge.

I'm tired of gender defining identity, expectations and capability.

I'm tired of the "kill all men" twisted doctrine.

hey so since this is officially my political rant blog now ig i may as well kick things off w the most unhinged political topics

we as a society need 2 hav a serious conversation abt the resale and rental of actual haunted houses, like im not talking abt haunted house attractions af fairs n shit i mean like homes where there were documented cases of murder ect that can potentially lead to hauntings

now while i do personally believe that ghosts exist i don't think this is a topic that u should need 2 believe in the existence of ghosts in order 2 talk abt, bc the issue isn't just if hauntings are or are not real the issue is how it's handled in our society

this can be broken down into 2 main points that i hav

1) we as a society need 2 respect the dead more and the families of those grieving

2) we as a society need 2 stop putting marginalised ppl in positions where the only place they can afford 2 live in is a place that was the site of a previous murder

so yeah once again proving that everything is political ig, let's take this point by point

part 1) we as a society need 2 respect the dead and the families of those grieving more than we currently do

so in how this relates to haunted homes we need 2 hav a serious conversation abt how some of these actual homes that ppl were horrifically murdered in can often get turned into tourist attractions, which feels incredibly disrespectful? like can u imagine if 1 of ur family members got violently murdered and then some mf came up and bought the place and charged ppl an entry fee 2 c the spot where the dude's body hit the ground? like bro.... how is this considered acceptable behaviour is my question, i feel like that's something that most people can agree is kinda messed up even if u don't believe in ghosts and if u do it's like..... bro just let them vibe in their own home? like they got murdered let them vibe omg

now this is smth i hav more experience w bc i actually did, unknowingly, live somewhere that was considered a very well known haunted area 4 where i live, now im not gonna get 2 in detail bc i don't wanna dox myself but basically it was an old widows home that was built by this rich guy who was trying 2 make himself look good in the papers or whatever, this house was divided into multiple different flats [or apartments if ur american] and it was disabled living, which basically means that it was exclusively 4 disabled ppl, it was also a tourist attraction, also i was not told that it was a tourist attraction when i agreed 2 move in, i was also not told abt it being believed 2 b haunted

now even if u don't believe in hauntings, i think there's still a conversation 2 b had there abt the ethics of of that, the building was not acessible, i don't even know if it was up 2 code since it was built b4 there was a code 2 follow, so why was this specific building used as the building 4 disabled only housing?

there was basically no sound proofing, there was no bath tub, i had a shower that wasn't in a proper shower unit it was just attached 2 the wall of the bathroom, the floor was uneven, there were stairs but no stair lift and no elevator, the stairs were uneven stone stairs, i don't know why this place would be the one 4 disabled only housing unless it was intentional, bc no1 who could afford 2 not live there would live there, on top of that right, if this was disabled only housing what do u think that finding out that the place u live in is believed 2 b haunted does 2 some1 w paranoia? what do u think that does 2 some1 w psychosis?

and taking this outside of my own personal experiences, what abt the places that r places where ppl got murdered? how is whoever is putting this place up 4 rent making sure that there aren't any more murders? r they looking into what made that murder possible at that location? probably not

idk idk much abt how housing works so mayb some of u guys hav some more insight on this 1 than i do but i needed 2 rant ig

I really love Election Time in Canada, because now I can easily see all the racist, xenophobic assholes who dont care about anyone but themselves and their immediate wealth and comfort, by any means.

I mean, in this day and age? If you've got a Conservative sign, you are literally against everything Canada represents in the eyes of the world.

The party leader buys a private jet - A JET - and boasts about it, espousing the traditional campaign bus. And then brands himself as 'one of the people'. Maybe he means '1% of the people'? Nevermind that since he needs a landing strip for said jet, he's skipping over any municipalities too small or poor to accommodate an airport. Nevermind that recent studies show the carbon footprint of personal jets is off the fucking charts in terms of climate damage. Nevermind that - what the hell does he do when he gets to his destination? Just stand on the tarmac? Or, dare I say it, does he still need a BUS? Or do they all pile into personal vehicles? Maybe a fleet of Hummers?

Short sighted bullshit. Fuck you Andrew Scheer.

Pro-supporting nations who need help - I used to be so proud of Canada's involvement in UN Peacekeeping missions. I may not have known what they entailed, but the notion of blue hats going in and helping after other countries went and ruined everything, or horrible disasters struck... That seemed like a good legacy to follow up our defining contributions to the World Wars.

Look, I just want a future for the kids of my coworkers that isn't some wasteland Mad Max Waterworld spin off.

I want a place where people can identify how they want, love who they want, and believe in who they want without some random person saying they need to die because of it.

I want a land of equal opportunities, regardless of race, gender, heritage, birthplace, religion, or orientation.

I want the image of 'Canada' that I loved as a child back. The one we learned about in History and Current Events, that was a world leader in human rights and compassion. Unassuming politeness that could whup ass when needed.

Sure I was naive and ignorant as a child, but would living up to such ideals be a bad thing?

And I don't see any of those hopes ever happening if we fall back under a Conservative Leadership, not with what they idealize in this current era.

So as a Floridian, I do disagree with this statement to an extent, our government fails us regularly and when I say government, I don't mean the Biden administration. They've actually been trying to help us here - that's Biden AND Harris. When I say the government has failed us, I'm speaking about Ron DeSantis and his ragtag Republican corporate slumlords.

Not only has DeSantis written the term climate change out of our state statutes by passing HB1645, but he's also denied funding that could help from anything from researching green energy sources to fight against climate change to infrastructure (those better building codes here? yeah, this is why we don't have it) and even potentially better shelters and evacuation routes during hurricane seasons. That isn't even the tip of the iceberg regarding a lot of our problems about the incompetency that is the DeSantis administration, either. Just a few months back? He wanted to turn our state's national parks into golf courses. He isn't trying to solve the housing crisis here. He isn't trying to help us with finding reasonable insurance. Ron DeSantis has a significantly low approval rating and before anyone starts with the "but you voted him in" I'm going to disrespectfully say: fuck all the way off, because no, I did not.

And believe it or not, I doubt a lot of people who are suffering from this storm did, too. And honestly? Even if they did? No one deserves it because they were lied to by a manipulative narcissist with a little man complex flying his "anti-woke" flag.

DeSantis is doing the bare-fucking-minimum as a governor here in Florida because he shouldn't be denying infrastructure funding or refusing to acknowledge climate change. Yes, he's allowing FEMA to come in and he's accepted phone calls from Biden, but why isn't he taking the necessary steps to make it so we don't have to get to a certain point?

I've been seeing a bunch of posts about "why didn't the government do anything in advance" Here are things that were done:

Massive amounts of food, bottled water, medical supplies, and beds were delivered to strong buildings designated as shelters in every town.

The National guard was sandbagging everything they could and knocking on doors all along the coast trying to convince people to evacuate. They were literally going door-to-door.

The government paid for free Uber rides to shelters and provided free buses to evacuate. Unfortunately it appears not many people knew about it.

The government organized and prioritized getting gas stations refilled along evacuation routes. It wasn't enough but it would have been much worse without official help. They also organizes tow trucks to get dead cars off the roads.

Everyone will probably get the same aid Helen victims got - $750 instantly to anyone with ID showing they lived in a hurricane damaged area, and then thousands to tens of thousands to help rebuild or move later on, once there are more detailed damage assessments and victims fill out a request for aid.

The government also speed ran trying to get debris from Helene off the streets before Milton so it wouldn't become projectiles (again not enough but they managed waaaaay more than expected), and will be the ones clearing roads tomorrow ASAP.

Heck, the government runs NOAA and is what told people approximately where it would hit and with what power days ago. They were the ones that did all the research to build the devices that let them make predictions like that. They were the ones flying into the storm to get windspeed measurements every couple hours.

Tomorrow the government will be delivering more generators and gas and bottled water, and a fleet of ambulances and firemen to rescue people.

Yeah we could do better. We could always do better. Florida needs better building codes in storm surge zones for one thing.

But to say the government did nothing? Nah, that's not true. It's not true at all.

I agree with not voting for either of the two main presidential options. but if we are going to vote someone else in, everyone needs to agree with who- Markiplier? great. Bo Burnham? love it. John Mulaney? sure, why not. But everyone needs to agree to put one person down, so that it actually counts.

Also, an amendment needs to be pushed through declaring a maximum age for presidency. like a minimum of 35, maximum of 60. people just wouldn't go for it because they don't have americas best interest in mind and thats sad.

if not a maximum, then potential presidents need to go through a sort of sanity test to make sure they are of sane mind. why are men that are literally out of their goddamned minds running???

asking my parents, the only good thing about trump was that groceries weren't so expensive. but thats not the presidents fault, its the 1%, and any bills, laws, whatever need to pass through them to be accepted.

it's not just the president thats screwing this nation over one day at a time, its everyone in power. vote not just in the presidential campaign but for local problems, for state wide problems.

people in the senate and house of representatives dont have our best interests at heart? fucking change it.
