I agreed for the first two but DON’T agree with the rest, for a few reasons.
A. Both of them DO suck. Like one is literally just a fascist, and the other is a cop who has the endorsement of a fascist. Both parties suck. And so do both candidates. Now is Kamala as bad? Hell no. But she is still terrible, and we should be showing that we won’t settle settle for “eh, better than the fascist”
B. What if people can’t afford to buy other clothing brands? SHEIN and temu are cheap, so broke people can afford it more. You’re just being inconsiderate
C. Aren’t you sorta talking shit by making this post? Also some people might find the music overwhelming and/or overstimulating. Also, how do you personally define the music? I consider everything from AJJ to the clash to even mother mother to be punk, so a lot of people listen to punk (or what I personally consider to be punk).
And lastly, D. The term poser is stupid as hell, especially when it’s as overused as it is in punk circles. Like, are you talking about people who claim to be punk but only rock the outfits and no nothing about the movement or culture (who aren’t new to the scene, that is”, or are you talking about people who simply dont like most punk music, or dont dress punk, or something else stupid. Because if it’s the second, then you suck

I’ve seen “punks” with back the blue patches, “goths” for trump, ect ect. You are not a fucking punk if you support the police, or if you vote red, or if you bully gay/trans people

A. People have been saying that for years. I remember hearing the same thing in 2020. Im sick and tired of “vote blue, no matter who” mindset, as it is absolutely fucking garbage.
B. Okay, that’s fair, at least on the sewing part as not everyone has a thrift store in their local area.
C. Okay, at the very least you consider kinds of punk that aren’t first wave punk punk. I was thinking for a second that you, much like most of r/punk, don’t consider anything that isn’t from the first wave era or the 90s era of punk to be “real” punkFor a second there, I sorta figured you were the kind of person who would claim that something like folk punk isn’t real punk (also, AJJ is a folk punk band, The Clash were like one of the original punk bands, and Mother Mother is Mother Mother. Don’t know how else to describe them really.)
D. I agree. Never said that dressing punk was important. I mean, the Dead Kennedys dressed like regular dudes for a lot of shows, but we’re undeniably punk. So I’m glad we’re able to agree on 3/4 fronts, at least.

This reminds me... there was one time I met @purplebehittindifferent at a rock convention to hang out. I was wearing one of my spiked vests, obviously, because rock convention. Purple legit CRAWLS OUT HER CAR WINDOW to come see me AND ONCE SHE GETS TO ME stops dead in her tracks with a look of such sadness and disappointment. She was like "I-I can't hug you! You're pokey!"

I think I'm gonna speak for a lot of Anarchists when I say this... stop trying to shove us in political boxes. Anarchy, by definition, is the REJECTION of those political boxes.
Do I see the Republican general view on some issues? Yes. Do I agree with the liberal mindset on other issues? Yes.
That doesn't make me Democratic OR Republican. That doesn't make me left wing, right wing, liberal or conservative.
It makes me a person with a conscience, moral code, opinion and belief. It makes me human. For the love of Jesus Christ of Nazareth PLEASE stop trying to categorize it and categorize me. People are so much more than labels, stereotypes and titles.
