So I guess I’m drawing transformers now.
Then, of course, there’s Miko. Extremely rowdy, loud, and rambunctious Miko. She probably had an incredibly hard time fitting in anywhere, in both Japan and in Jasper. Miko even mentions that she probably scares her host parents. But of all the bots, the only ones who can really handle her nonsense are the Wreckers.
Bulkhead, her guardian, is big and kind of a dimwit sometimes. But when it comes to Miko, he’s virtually on point. Even when her mischief gets her in a lot of trouble, Bulk is usually there to help get her out and keep her safe. He’ll give her a mild scolding, leaving the harsher stuff to Arcee or Optimus. Regardless, he’s careful with her. She’s small but a handful, always keeping him on his toes. If Ratchet is like Raf’s father, Bulk is most definitely Miko’s uncle. The “I don’t know how to take care of you, but I’m willing to learn” kind of uncle.
Then there’s Wheeljack, the “I don’t really care about the rules, let’s have fun” uncle. He gets into the thick of the trouble just like Miko does. Of course, there is a limit to how much he can actually let her get into without Bulkhead or the others losing their minds over it. If he had it his way, Miko would be allowed to get into just as much scrap as him. Aside from Bulk, he’s probably the only one who really lets her express herself without berating her for getting mad or being too loud. And when she’s all done and tuckered out, he makes sure she gets back to the others safely. Reckless, but a good uncle nonetheless.
TFP HC: Family Ties
Was just listening to the Robots soundtrack and was reminded of the train station scene. Immediately thought of Ratchet, for some reason, particularly his attachment to Rafael in TFP.
Ratchet’s connection to Raf was built on the kid’s ability to exceed all of his expectations. Ratchet had well founded pride in his species for their accomplishments and strength, but very little of the same pride in humans. In fact, he downright hated them in the beginning. But Rafael’s talent and meekness cut right through his rough exterior. While the old bot is quick to a temper and preferred to be alone, he still looked to Rafael when he needed help and would even keep him around a lot to assist him. Eventually, Raf became like a son to him, with whom he passed on some of his knowledge to make him smarter and wiser.
And speaking of family, I have to bring up Bumblebee. Rafael is the youngest in his family and has constant pressure to ace school to the point where he doesn’t have many friends aside from Jack and Miko. He gets talked over and most likely doesn’t get the chance to express himself much, if at all. Then he met Bumblebee who, like him, is the youngest on his squad and has pressure to be a good scout/warrior while standing in the shadow of someone like Optimus Prime. But also like him, he has a limited voice, figuratively and very literally. Despite being so physically different, they became kindred spirits to one another, finally being heard for once.
It’s not Wheeljack without his light-up head fins. You can’t convince me otherwise
Boom! Another fic pulled off the backburner and finished off! I can’t expect I’ll keep up this speed of writing but inspiration strikes whenever it desires. Enjoy!

Soundwave getting shrunk after wheel jacks, impromptu decision to try and make a shrink ray goes bad and hotrod carrying him protectively
Everyone gathered around as smoke filled the lab. He rushed over worried about his Conjunx who'd been talking with Wheeljack, when the explosion happened.
Walking inside it was hard to see with all the smoke. He stumbled around trying to find Soundwave. Worried he'd been injured or worse. Wheeljack was sitting against a wall with his arm damaged.
"Soundwave!"
He shouted as the smoke started to clear. Revealing more of the lab and causing him to panic, because he couldn't see him anywhere.
"Soundwave!"
He called again searching for him desperately and begging Primus that his Conjunx was okay. He felt tears fall and then he heard it.
He froze and dialed up his audios. Listening attentively.
"Down here!"
He looked down and his optics widened in shock.
"What did you say your machine was again?"
"A shrink ray."
He fell to his knees and scooped Soundwave up holding him protectively in his hands. He checked him over and Soundwave didn't seem to be Injured, just annoyed.
Turning towards Wheeljack he showed him Soundwave who glared.
"Fix me now!"
Soundwave demanded.
"He won't be fixing anyone until I fix his arm."
Ratchet walked inside giving Wheeljack an unimpressed look as he checked out his arm.
"Don't worry I'll fix this."
Wheeljack promised to Soundwave who was still angry about being shrunk.
"Ow!"
Wheeljack yelped and Ratchet pulled his arm back.
"Stop moving!"
Knowing there wasn't anything they could do now. He looked down at Soundwave who was so small. Looking at the crowd forming he worried about his Conjunx safety.
Deciding to take him back to their apartment. He gently held Soundwave against his chest and carried him home. He'd watch over Soundwave until Wheeljack could fix him.
I think we deserve a break from all the heartache so perhaps, maybe the bots reacting to each other’s holo forms?
Wheeljack was finally letting them test out the new holoforms and he was so excited. He'd already created his holoforms appearance, months in advance and somehow managed to keep it a secret from Soundwave.
Blushing he hoped Soundwave liked it. Opening the door to Wheeljacks lab he could see Soundwave along with a few others waiting to try it out.
When his Conjunx noticed him approaching he wrapped an arm around him and he cuddled against his side enjoying the affection.
Wheeljack talked about his invention. Telling them how it worked and how to use it. He went over some of the features and showed everyone how to change their avatar. Although they'd already figured that out a while ago. Looking at the group he knew everyone had already created their avatar.
"Ratchet here is going to install it and make sure everything is safe and nothing is glitching.
Ratchet went to each of them and inserted the coding that would allow them to use a holoform.
"Are any warnings popping up?"
"No, it's all clear."
"Then transform and turn on your holoform."
He nodded along with the others who all transformed and turned on their holoforms.
He could see Soundwave climbing out of his alt mode and he bit his lip. Soundwave's holoform fit him really well and was hot for a human.
Climbing out of his own alt mode, he watched the way Soundwave's gaze focused on him. Immediately his eyes darkened with lust, as he looked him over taking everything in. He smirked knowing exactly how to bother his Conjunx. Who grabbed him and whispered into his ear.
"What do you think your doing?"
He gave him a sly look and pulled him closer running his hands over his holoforms body.
Soundwave bite his ear making him gasp and whispered.
"If you don't stop teasing me. I'm going to frag you in front of everyone and I don't care if you're a holoform."
He shivered and someone cleared their throat. Looking over he could see Bumblebee giving them an unimpressed look and he moved away from Soundwave. Although they didn't go far.
Wheeljack came over and began talking excitedly in his own holoform, but he wasn't paying attention. Instead he could feel Soundwave staring at him and when he looked over he knew he had a long night ahead of him. Which caused him to shiver in excitement because he couldn't wait.
Personality Swap Short Story about Hotrod and Soundwave
"What are you doing?"
He walked over to Bumblebee who was staring at the door leading to Hot Rod and Soundwave's office.
"Hot Rod just snapped at me and called me a useless Autobot."
"Maybe he's having a bad day."
"That's what I thought. Hot Rod might be having a bad day but Soundwave is definitely possessed."
"I think that's being a little dramatic."
"Soundwave said hello to me and not just that he said my name."
He gave Bumblebee a startled look because something was definitely wrong.
"I'll call Wheeljack and Ratchet."
"Maybe you should call Thunderhowl."
"Why?"
"He knows all kinds of weird things and might know something about possession."
"Good idea."
He called all three and Ratchet who was in the area walked over looking annoyed.
"What seems to be the problem?"
"Soundwave said hello to me and my name."
Ratchet stared between the two of them for a long moment and then looked annoyed.
"Did you seriously call me down here because Soundwave said hello? I have important work that needs to be done."
Ratchet Ignoring their warnings to stop, walked into Soundwave's office. Only to come back a moment later looking terrified in a way they'd never seen before.
"Something's not right."
"What happened?"
They both looked at each other in fright. Even though they were curious to know what Soundwave did.
"First he said hello and called me by name. Then..."
Ratchet looked almost sick saying it.
"He opened up his mask and smiled at me before telling me that I do a good job and how happy he is to have me as a medic."
He felt his knees wobble and he thought he was going to pass out.
"Then Hot Rod glared at me and told me to get out."
He searched the matrix trying to find an answer or a way to stop possession.
Wheeljack came next looking confused. Especially when Ratchet grabbed him looking angry and desperate.
"What did you do?"
"I haven't done anything."
"Wheeljack please tell me you haven't made any personality switch machines or machines that cause someone to become possessed or change personalities."
"No..."
Wheeljack gave them a confused look and Ratchet ignored him.
"What now?"
"We need to perform an exorcism."
"Prime don't you think that's a bit much?"
"It's the only way."
Listening to them argue outside. He couldn't hold it in anymore and started laughing. A moment later Soundwave started laughing as well.
"That was a great idea."
"I know. Did you see the look on Ratchets face? I thought he was going to have a stroke."
The two of them continued laughing.
"Let's keep going I want to mess with Thunderhowl as well."
He nodded. Enjoying the way his friends were freaking out and wanting to continue messing with them.
