The damage that JK Rowling has done to the modern wizard is immeasurable. I want pointy hats and long beards. I want goofy magic wands. She took an amazing concept and took all the cool traits out of it.

I Have Found A Solution!

So, obviously classic wizard robes aren’t wheelchair friendly. (Alright, admittedly this isn’t common knowledge and also this definitely isn’t a problem for most but listen, this is a problem for me and I’m pleased to present a solution for it nonetheless.)

The issue is in the sleeves and the length of the robes. The traditional trumpet style allows them to get snagged, dirty, and caught in the wheels.

This is distinctly not an issue with other mobility aids such as canes and crutches, these wizards are fine to carry on with their trumpet sleeves simply rolled up if needed.

Now, one solution might simply to shorten the sleeves and hem to be out of the way, but that looks rather silly so I won’t do that. Instead I propose the more elegant design of a hanging sleeve to maintain that flowy magical feel while allowing for better range of motion.

Honestly I just love the look of hanging sleeves in general and think more people should appreciate them, wheelchair user or not.

In conclusion…

"Comprehend Language" (this one does have a long casting time, but it's worth it.)

"Disguise Self" (Real fun whenever you have a friend group or event. Can be real complex or just basic depending on material components, but it's always fun.)

"Sleep" (Highly recommend to cast this early evening, since sometimes people have troubles with the casting of the spell.)

"Catnap" (I do love to cast this one in the afternoon, ngl. But I've heard complaints that it's arcane weave sometimes clashes with the previous spell.)

"Hydration" (A must that my friends would be mad if I didn't add. Tho it's really easy to get the components, it sometimes isn't as easy to cast.)

The spells a wizard can cast are nobody’s business but your’s! Name one spell Gandalf cast, hm? You’ve no need to waste your mana on the doubtful.

Starter spells are things like:

- “Locate Cars & Car Keys.”

- “Summon Familiar Housecat”

- “Mend sock hole” (this one has useful advanced variations)

- “Recover Stamina” (I recommend a good book as a spell component, and a regular time to practice)

- “Ritual of Lesser Exertion” (just 15 minutes a day does wonders)
