Decree Of Devotion
Decree of Devotion
In love's grand theater, a choice is made,
Not fleeting fancy, nor whims that fade.
Commitment's vow, a sacred decree,
Beyond mere passion, it's loyalty we see.
Not settling for scraps, nor second-best,
Love's quest demands the heart's true test.
No backup plan, no shadowed guise,
In love's grasp, no hidden lies.
To be someone's secret, a silent plea,
But love demands transparency to set hearts free.
In open arms, true devotion lies,
No clandestine whispers, no veiled disguise.
For love is a decision, resolute and true,
Not just a feeling, but actions imbue.
With courage and honor, we take our stand,
For love and commitment, hand in hand.

Pages of Affection: Contrasting Love and Being in Love
Loving someone is like having a favorite book that you've cherished for years. It's comforting, familiar, and fills your heart with warmth. You know every chapter, every plot twist, and every character intimately. It's a deep-rooted affection that withstands time and trials.
Being in love with someone, however, is akin to discovering a new book that completely captivates you from the first page. It's exhilarating, consuming, and ignites a fire within you. Every word, every sentence, and every page leaves you craving for more. It's a whirlwind of emotions, a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, as you explore the depths of your feelings and desires.
In essence, loving someone is like finding comfort in an old, familiar story, while being in love with someone is like embarking on an exciting adventure with a new, electrifying narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat, yearning for the next chapter.
Relationships that start fast often end fast, so it’s crucial to take your time. Invest effort in getting to know each other deeply, communicate openly about your intentions, and let the bond develop naturally.
Lost in the Swipe: The Erosion of Meaningful Relationships in the Digital Age
In the digital age, where swiping left and right feels more natural than meeting someone in person, relationships have lost their luster. Online dating platforms promise an ocean of possibilities, but beneath the surface lies a shallow pool of transient connections. With every new match, the illusion of endless options lulls us into a state of complacency, where the slightest ripple of conflict prompts us to abandon ship. It's a disposable culture we've cultivated, where commitment is as fragile as a fleeting trend on social media. People are quick to discard their current partner in search of what they perceive to be greener pastures elsewhere. Little do they realize, “the grass isn't greener on the other side; it's greener where you water it” (Wolfgang Puck). Yet, amidst the mirage of endless choices, this wisdom is drowned out. We've become slaves to the dopamine rush of new matches, forgetting that true connection and fulfillment stem from commitment, patience, and genuine effort. In our quest for instant gratification, we've forsaken the depth and richness that can only be found in nurturing and growing a relationship over time.
Squaddlebum
In the depths of a forest, where shadows loom tall,
Lives a creature unseen, yet known to all.
The squaddlebum, with its feathers of gold,
In the moon's soft glow, its secrets unfold.
With eyes like stars, and a mischievous grin,
It roams the woods, where the wild begins.
With a hop and a skip, it dances through trees,
A creature of wonder, as elusive as the breeze.
Its laughter rings out, like bells in the night,
A symphony of joy, a pure delight.
With wings of silk, it flutters and flies,
Through the midnight sky, where dreams arise.
But beware, dear traveler, in the squaddlebum's lair,
For its tricks and pranks are beyond compare.
Yet if you're kind and pure of heart,
It may share its secrets, and never depart.
So let us marvel at this creature so rare,
With its golden feathers and playful air.
For in the heart of the forest, where dreams succumb,
Lives the enchanting spirit of the squaddlebum.
His Love Deception
In the hollow echo of his empty words,
I stand, betrayed, by the lies I've heard.
A man who professed love with a deceitful heart,
Left my soul shattered, torn apart.
His promises, like dust, scattered away,
Leaving me to grapple with dismay.
For in his facade of care, I found despair,
A cruel mockery, too much to bear.
He spoke of devotion, of endless grace,
But his actions spoke of another place.
For in his neglect, a bitter truth unfurled,
No warmth, no solace in this cold world.
I longed to feel his touch, sincere.
To know my worth, to hold me near.
But his affection was a temporary show,
A shallow stream that failed to flow.
Unseen, unheard, I faded away,
Lost in the shadows of his shallow display.
For though he claimed to care, you see,
His love was but a fantasy.
So now I walk this lonely path,
Haunted by the echoes of his shallow wrath.
For in his grasp, I never found,
The love and care that I had drowned.
