Onions.

tw: caps

So Context there’s this flock of crows that hangs in the field by my school and I wanted to start feeding them to have a giant frickin awesome flock of crows on my side

So I was researching what kinda foods are good for them and it said that onions could kill them in the same way for dogs, that is by

yaknow

rIPPING APART THE SEAMS OF EACH BLOOD CELL UNTIL THEY BECOME ANEMIC AND DIE.

And yet the human stomach is just like “not if I digest it first”

Like JESUS, why are they so hardcore and poisonous and yet we use them just to accent the flavors in soup?

Human: oo ground crunchy ball

Human: *peeling it* eat?

Onion: Ah, if only, my sweet, naive little friend. I thank you for the chance to perform my greatest gift of death... slowly. Steadily. Prepare yourself to meet the same fate as all others have who have dared to usurp my kind. Consider the cold truth awakening in your veins to be your well-earned atonement for the all-consuming curiosity that festers within you. Farewell, my dear unknowing victim.

Human two days later: *is completely fine, and making another onion into soup* hehe spicy

But yeah uh

I wasn’t too informed about stuff last year. And because of that, for some reason, I thought to myself

“Oh if I’m genderfluid then I can only be masculine genders always and forever because that totally makes sense”

so when I had a very masc day, I went all in and broadcasted that to the world O_O

...Yeah, it’s kinda the entire point of being genderfluid that your gender is... well... FLUID lol.

And when I did have a feminine day and hated the label I’d put on myself, my ADHD brain was just like

“then don’t”

“don’t fix it, ever”

and I was like ok

✨ and so I didn’t post for 5 months✨

AYYY BRUDDERS ITS PRIDE OF THE MONTH TIME!!!!! >:D

(Sorry I’m busy rewatching the Fundy Maid stream lol XD) (It’s hilarious if any of you wanna watch it go ahead (swear warning))

Anyways uh

So Hi everyone! I’m Quail ^-^

Doing the 30 days of pride challenge :>

Anyways!

image

(image from mainenglish.com)

I don’t really know my pronouns rn I’m trying to figure them out, but right now I’m okay with anything, but He and They are coolio if you want to use those, but if you’d rather call me she thats fine

As far as labels go, I’m choosing between:

Demiboy,

image

Genderfluid,

image

Or just Nonbinary. :>

image

Who knows?

But all I know is

I want to try wearing a binder

When I said to myself that I am a woman and can never change that it made me cry so uh not doing that again (I was hoping I was maybe faking it so I tried referring to myself with just she/her and saying things like that and I hated it,  but I just wanted to maybe see if I was comfortable with it so I could not go through with telling my mom who has already expressed that same statement of me now and always being a lady and then wouldn’t have to deal with all the craziness of friends leaving me after I someday come out and I’m scared-)

When some close friends referred to me with They/Them it felt weird but not bad? And when a person accidentally called me sir I didn’t want to correct them because it gave me this huge rush of happiness that made me want to do the happy flappy hands?

anyway :b

In terms of my sexuality, I’m either Demisexual, Greysexual or ace,

and I might be Demiromantic, but I’m not sure ,:>

I would rather be friends with someone and see how the relationship goes from there; if the feelings change, great! If they don’t, that’s great too :b

With people, I’d rather date girls or nonbinary people, but I’d be open to a guy :>

So... Ye! For now, the labels I’m going with are:

Genderqueer

image

Greysexual DemiOmniromantic

All pronouns

Happy pride month, everyone! Let’s make it the gayest month the cishets have ever seen >:3

Random thought #2

Bro Keeper of the Lost Cities hates when two people get married just because the friggin matchmakers said they couldn’t, because their genes wouldn’t match up to make the perfect cutie little wittle baby...

And since people are ridiculed just for being a “bad match”, because of how their genes would match up,

How would y’all feel if two characters were, hEavEn fOrbID (/j), gay? :>

Because I would 100000000% make two adowoble bois in love or two pwetty girls in love or two pwecious nonbies kissing just to spite the system :)

Token Representation

In the same realm as fetishizing an individual for their sexuality is none other than the new pop culture phenomenon of token representation. This is the concept of including an individual of a minority group to create diversity and inclusion. Token representation has a few key factors that skews it from just representing the community:

The token character is never complex.

The token character follows stereotypes, tropes, or plot lines, such as them quickly being killed off or no longer being seen in the film.

There not intersectional but rather are just LGBTQIA+

They have nothing else in their life except this identity.

Token Representation

The “gay best friend” trend is one that has swept the nation. This ranges not only from the mass media representation in movies like its namesake, “G.B.F” to the trend of straight celebrities having their very own. But sadly, this is only detrimental to the community and does not work to expand on accurate representation. “Gay men are not accessories; they are not your entities. Lesbians and bi women are not just the objects of your sexual desires. We are real humans with more to offer than the romanticized stereotypes straight people perpetuate. I guarantee no gay man wants to follow you around, tell you “yas, queen,” and give you fashion advice. The fetishization and romanticization of same-gender attraction is extremely damaging to our community. It dehumanizes us.” (Price) We are turning people into items, no longer are they a gay person struggling through coming out, societal backlash, learning about themselves, or navigating an ever-changing terrain. Instead, they are as if the newest trendiest handbag on the market, and guess what, those get ditched fast for the next new one.

Token Representation

(Price)

This trend works to perpetuate the idea that gay men are there only for the benefit of these straight women when they adamantly avoid other members of the LGBTQIA community. “Urban Dictionary's top voted definition for the term is “the best friend of any hot girl you know.”” (Price) It draws attention to the fact that these people are not made famous for their individuality, their contributions, or being themselves but rather by taking one singular aspect, their sexuality, and making it the only aspect that anyone cares about. We are morphing these people from a complex human with thoughts, emotions, desires, and pains they carry with them every day throughout the day into just a gay guy.

Token Representation

"More LGBT people are simply integrated into the lives of all people as friends and family," says Cathy Renna, a media activist and LGBT community PR guru. "We will continue to battle homophobia and sexism and racism for a long time to come, but I would like to think we have made progress beyond the patronizing 'I have a gay friend so I must be OK with it' statement." (Scheffler) This concept perpetuates the swathe that holds together our current society's stance on the LGBTQIA+ community. “We’re okay with it.”, “I have a friend”, or “my sister is”. These all play off the concept that association or even simply mentioning a concept equates to acceptance and understanding of it.

“While 64% of adults think it’s positive for the LGBTQ+ community to be visible in advertisements, a considerable 72% of the LGBTQ+ community think the way they are presented in advertising is tokenistic, according to research commissioned by the Gay Times and Karmarama.” (Watson) The fact that 72% of the community being depicted feels as though it is only out of tokenism shows just how big this problem is. It is the culmination of people fetishizing the community into objects they want to see for their own pleasure, it is the monetization of a community, and it relies upon heteronormative stereotypes which erases people within the community. Representation on the other hand, would include dynamic characters, with complex emotional and background stories, and a wide variety of representations and plot lines to which a character advances through (all while not disappearing or being killed).

A token representation is one that follows stereotypes or even flows within the heteronormative narrative society so wishes to paint. “I find that these policies and documents promote a specific normative form of monogamous, marital, middle-class, normatively gendered, and in many implicit and explicit ways, white, heterosexuality—that is best described as heteronormative.” (Rosenblum 425)

This very specifically calls attention to the fact that diversity and intersectionality is a rare find within representation, meaning it is not real representation. It is a sad excuse that is happy to sweep the entire community under one blanket statement that follows the standards set up for the whole world, heteronormativity. Best put, we are looking for representation that understands, “LGBTQ+ people run the gamut. We are white and Black and brown. We are lesbians, and gay men, genderqueer, trans, nonbinary. We are rich and poor, fat and skinny, healthy and disabled, and our representation deserves to show us in all of the shades that we exist.” (Karner)

What our community demands is this: “That means when it comes to representation, it has to be more than a token. It must be inclusive and intersectional. People do not exist in a single aspect. They are complicated and multi-faceted, and heterosexual people get to see themselves in a hundred different ways onscreen. We deserve the same thing.” (Karner)

Thus, despite the exposure and seeming representation, there is still an oppressive and commodity culture-based reason to be including these characters. We are not showing that this community is everywhere as normal human beings but rather depicting them solely as this overly noticeable and focused upon person just for their sexual identity.

A Thing I Made With Talk To Transformer (Part 1! :)

(I sadly can’t highlight the parts written by different people but just know that this is basically where I write a prompt, Transformer does something with it, then I do something with that and it does something with that, etc.

It’s basically an improv with Transformer! :>

I hope you all enjoy this strange thing that I made like 2 years ago and decided to revive from the dead!)

(Oh and Tw: Violence, guns and slightly creepy monsters)

“Michi.”

“Yeah.”

“How can I find that out right away?”

“You can’t.”

“Won’t you let me?”

“What do you think?”

“We’re not having a party.”

“I don’t even know why they think we’re having a party.”

“They don’t think you’re a cop,” Clem said with a laugh.

“I’m not.”

“Hey you,” Michi said, looking at me as she said, “Be careful.”

“I will,” I said.

“Don’t go going out of your way to kill someone. You gotta show them a little dignity.”

Michi, Clem and I walked in to see Chef Koh with his crew. They were giving out pretty good information on things and just hanging out.

So we each sat down to chat with Clem about dinner. We decided to try the Cheesecake Factory.

While I was excited, I was a little shocked that the Cheesecake Factory had sushi.

I’m not usually a huge sushi fan and this place just didn’t satisfy my cravings. I ate some of the other things on their appetizer menu, one of those being a Cucumber Pineapple Salad. If you have never had a Cucumber Pineapple Salad, I would say it is pretty unique. It’s filled with cilantro, cucumbers, grilled pineapples, and freshly cut lettuce. I order the dish anytime I get the chance.

As I was lost in thought, a huge crash sounded from the kitchen. Michi and Clem took out their pistols. “Nobody get up!” said Michi. “We’ll defend you.”

I started to open the door. “Let’s just see how they’ll react.” I opened it slowly. Three bullets had torn through the kitchen’s glass window and hit the farthest wall. Clem had already fired one bullet into the room, which had missed whoever, or whatever, was in there.

Then the door was kicked over. Michi pulled me to the side just in time, but Clem wasn’t so lucky. His face twisted in agony, and he let loose a blood-curdling scream. I wanted to drag him away from his sprawled and ruined body.

A strange, husky voice said, “It’s OK. I can save you.”

I looked up and saw the pale creature standing before me. He was so small, I could barely tell the difference from him or a small child. He reached into a pocket of his jacket and took out a rusted, discarded handgun. To my surprise, Clem got up in front of us, seemingly unharmed, and pointed his gun at me. “Clem…?” I ventured, holding my hands up in peace. “You won’t really do this… right?”

His unfocused eyes gave no response as he unholstered his pistol, and my heart filled with anguish.

Determined to fight for my lost friend, I turned shakily to face the creature. “You’re under arrest,” I yelled as loud as I could. “Withdraw your weapon and turn around,” I ordered Clem. After getting out my handcuffs, I turned to Clem and the creature; Pistol in one hand and handcuffs in the other.

“Don’t make me do this,” I said, the pistol shaking in my hand. The creature chuckled.

“I’m not going to kill you, just like I won’t kill him,” It replied, in a gravelly voice that definitely didn’t sound right for a child his age. I pointed the pistol at him, with my finger a breath away from the trigger. Just as I was about to open fire, a purple-haired figure strolled into the room.

“I think I’ll handle this,” Michi said coldly, pistol in hand. “I don’t know what you are, but no one hurts these idiots while I’m around.” The child snarled and held his rusted handgun at ready. The room was so quiet at that moment that you could’ve heard a pin drop, both officers and enemies pointing weapons at a standstill. The child moved first, about to pull the trigger. Michi grabbed his wrist. Her dark blue eyes revealed no hint of emotion as she fully judo-flipped the kid, knocking the handgun out of his hand as he landed with a sound like snapping pencils. The kid looked up at her with a sickening grin. “We’re going to break everything.” it muttered, and then crumbled to dust. Clem dropped to the ground, and his eyes cleared. “Good to have you back, Clem,” I said, helping him to his feet. He stood, stunned, and offered me a weak smile.

More character info!!! So Michi has purple hair with Navy eyes? Cool

“I’m sorry,” he said. “I wasn’t being myself.”

“I’m sure you’ll be fine,” Michi assured him. “That... thing is what we should be worried about.” The three of us glanced over at the pile of dust on the other side of the room. “I’m not going near it,” Clem announced. Rolling my eyes, I put a pinch of it in a bag for evidence as we left. The three of us got into our police cruiser and headed onto the highway.

"Youre just bastardizing womanhood and reducing it down to stereotypes! You cant throw on a wig and call yourself a woman!"

Random Quotes of OC’s #1

“You can’t kill me in a way that matters,” He muttered, collapsing to his knees in tears. “I… can’t die,” He whimpered shakily, staring as the cuts on his hands healed like a film in reverse; “...and everyone’s going to pay for it,” he muttered hopelessly.

An Illumise Thing :]

(Trigger warning: Violence, Insanity, Bullying, Blood, Mild Swearing)

A little unpolished! There might be some grammatical mistakes, sorry ,:>

“Something wrong, three?” An indistinct voice mocked from somewhere above him, but it quickly faded back into silence.

A starburst of searing red pain bolted through the darkness at his side, accompanied by the voice again, this time more persistent; “Ahem. Listen when I’m talking to you, failure.” The darkness began to evaporate, revealing glimpses of the bright and noisy lab around me, filled with hostile voices-

No.

Muffling blackness swept around him again like an inky blanket as Vian steadied his breathing.

It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s fine, He consoled himself. They’ll get bored, and then they will leave.

Or, A voice in the back of his head offered-

NO. I’m staying AWAY from that place. Away from my body, away from the scalpel, and away from any poor soul who happens to be in my vicinity. Besides, I won’t get to eat if they find the dead bodies on the floor-

Another burst of crimson agony, this time erupting from his head, jolted Vian back into his body.

---

Through the steady stream of blood flowing down my face, I could make out the smug Conqueror soldier grinning at me on one knee.

“Knew you’d come around,” she taunted, tossing and catching the ball of sharpened, bloody metal as her two subordinates smirked menacingly behind her. Shifting one arm over her knee, she squinted at my face, at my emaciated arms and torso, and stood up. “‘Highly Dangerous’ my ass. You’re just as harmless as every other mistake in this room.”

Before I could stop myself, I chuckled, then muttered, “Then you must not be looking hard enough.”

And the scalpel I’d stole from a nearby surgery table cut her off before she could respond.
