Doodles while watching my favorite film <3
i’m gonna give the boys zodiac despite not knowing anything about it
David: he’s a fuckn cancer, he just feels like it
Dwayne: Virgo, no reason he just is
Paul: Capricorn, he’s a new years baby
Marko: Taurus, idk just a gut feeling
Star: Scorpio, because she’s sexy
Michael: Sagittarius, he’s stupid
Sam: Pisces, he looks like one
Edgar: Gemini, he’s got that look in his eye
Alan: Aries, the vibe
that’s it
headcanon that star teaches sam how to make jewelry and he makes friendship bracelets for edgar and alan.. alan silently takes it and never ever takes it off.. meanwhile with edgar its more like
edgar: idk im not really a jewelry person.
sam: fine, ill take it back then-
edgar: no, back off, its mine and im gonna wear it forever
if you want pain imagine they all continue to wear them even after sam and alan are turned and edgar keeps sams after staking him
I haven’t talked about this in a while (and maybe not at all on the blog), but I have this headcanon that in Lost Boys lore, when one is turned they acquire a specific magic power. Examples:
David- Transfiguration (they’re only noodles)
Star- Hypnosis (just. The ENTIRE introduction scene.)
Marko- Commune with animals (the pigeons. Also just cause I want.)
Dwayne- Telepathy (Idk I just thought it would be cool to have a quiet character with telepathy)
Also, Bonus, headcanons for Michael, Sam, and Alan (Edgar is excluded bc he’s the only one who isn’t turned in canon) based on nothing but their personalities:
Michael- Telekinesis (He’s a weightlifter by hobby, and while a little stupid, he’s very strong emotionally. I feel like that would lend itself well to Matilda-type antics)
Sam- Hypnosis (He’s very persuasive by nature, and very demanding. I feel like Vampirism would only enhance his natural powers of persuasion)
Alan- “Invisibility” (more like advanced wallflowering. He just becomes unnoticeable. Very useful for hunting.)
if you take drawing requests could you do vamp Alan?
an angry frog man
once upon a time three young lads wanted to grow up and be vampire hunters
but only 1 out of 3 actually made it while the other two remained young
Forever
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAlan
I heard that they were going to have each season set in a different time period leading up to the 80′s. Different characters each season, except for the lost boys who remain the same. I would love the frog sister to be Alan and Edgar's ancestors, hunting the vampires throughout the decade.
Can you just imagine some crochet old lady telling the baby frog boys about monsters at bed time, leaving them the comics as a way to show them what they would need to learn?
Or even better, we’d get to see David in the 1900′s. See Max settle in and turned each of them as the show up. The whole first season could just be how he finds and turns the boys. Or make it a long term thing, where each lost boy arrive over the first three or four seasons!
I could go one forever, as we all could with ideas on how to make an TV adaptation. Will the creators listen? Most likely no, but we can live in hope.
Wait, did anyone actually have hope for the CW TLB? It’s the CW guys, they don’t make great shows
Anyway I’m actually down with the Frogs being sisters (if they do it right)
I just hope Catherine Hardwicke doesn’t make the whole show look washed out and blue the way she did with Twilight
I’m gonna write it. Ever since this post I have not been able to get the idea of monster bashers on the road out of my head.
every time i watch the tribe and the thirst i get SO MAD like i really just watch them for edgar and alan (i mostly watch the bits with alan in the thirst) and GOD i wish we saw more of him!!!!!! I WANT TO SEE EDGAR AND ALAN AWKWARDLY DEALING WITH ALAN BEING HALF VAMP IN THEIR DAY TO DAY LIVES AND BEING DUMB DORKY BROTHERS INSTEAD OF ALAN KEEPING HIMSELF ISOLATED FROM THE WORLD AND EDGAR ONLY STOPPING BY WHEN HE NEEDS SOMETHING
First Chapter!
got the first chapter of my lost boys fic up.

Thank You!!!!! Oh, that is just perfect.
The first few weeks after turning is an assortment of lost boys and his Alan/Sam desperately trying not to piss him off too much in case he ‘accidentally’ sets them on fire.
Paul constantly trying to get Edgar to light his cigarettes so he doesn’t have to carry a lighter with him. Edgar sets his hair on fire instead. Star avoids him like the plague because fire and the amount of hairspray she uses just doesn’t mix
David just can’t wait for how cool it will look when Edgar gets the hang of it and they can scare the shit out of prey by him setting all the oil drums ablaze at once. Marko has to keep his pigeons out the way a few weeks and Dwayne just hopes their shit doesn’t burn.
Now I’m just imagining Alan having to carry a fire extinguisher with them everywhere they go to, long after Edgar gains control, just to annoy his brother. Sam’s cloths keep disappearing so now he has to dress like an actual vampire (neon is not conductive for staying hidden).
i am curious, even though Edgar doesn't turn in cannon, what do you think his gift would be if he did? Would he have something really cool like hypnosis or telepathy, or would be just be really good at lifting heavy stuff?
1) fuck you for making me use my brain muscle
2) Edgar’s Extra Special Vampiric Power is pyrokenisis, or the ability to set things on fire with one’s mind, because he’s a destructive disaster and that only gets worse when he’s turned. It’s really convenient for quick body disposal.
Oh god, I have a lost boys fic idea now!
Max dies, the boys survive and are extremely grateful that the bastard is dead.
And so begins the adoption process.
David decides that in order to say sorry he pretty much gives Lucy the video store. Won't take no for an answer. Grandpa tells her to just except the damn gift it means she won't have to worry about money for a long while.
Marko and Paul take a while to warm up to Sam and the Frogs, but once they do getting rid of the two is damn near impossible. There at the comics store scaring thieves away, their 'trying' to help them train by appearing out of now where and scaring the shit out of them.
Then there's Dwayne, who takes on look at the Frogs home life and suddenly Mother hen mode is ACTIVATED. Only he's only good at strong silent and intimidating stuff so he basically just stand and glowers at the Frog parent whilst there at the store and keeps leaving groceries at the Frog home. Sometime its the basics, other time its stuff they have no use for but Dwayne thinks its what humans need in a house. Like sometimes its bread and milk and shampoo. Other time Alan is trying to figure out why Dwayne had bought them a table cloth whilst Edgar frowns at a bottle of girls deodorant.
Michael and Star have no clue what to do with all the non murderous attention they are now getting from David, whose just happy not too have Max breathing down his neck as He tries to figure out a way to make Nanook a hell hound so The Emerson’s always have a guard without Sam trying to kill him for it.
Look I love the loner vampire trope as much as the next basic bitch but let’s face the facts: if the animal we’re basing them on/associating them with is bats, then that doesn’t make a lot of sense. Most bats live in colonies. I mean there are loner werewolves out there too but there are far more portrayals where packs are made up of giant families that interact like Weasleys with all the shenanigans and fuss and unwavering love and loyalty that that entails. That’s all well and good, but consider if you will that one of these animals lives with a dozen or two members of their species and the other lives with literally thousands.
If anything, vampires would form gigantic covens or attempt to manage their familial instincts by “adopting” people off of the streets to smother with gifts and affection.
Vampire: *Sees a 30 year old man trying his best*
Vampire: !!! A baby!! Martha, come quick! Someone has abandoned this infant child to the wilderness of NYC! We simply must take him under our wings!!
Even the more careful or standoffish ones probably stalk the night (and random citizens) so often and for so many years that they are intimately familiar with the lives of absurd amounts of people and just kind of watch over them like a real-time soap opera. One where they can swoop in and drop some cash in their path or manufacture “coincidences” to help their faves any time they want.
Vampire: I hate people. I’m a creature of the night. I need no one. I-
*Trips and 5000 pictures and hand-painted portraits of their favorite people from the past few centuries spill out of their cape*
Vampire: I-I have no idea how- this isn’t what it- This means nothing…
Employer: So, Sam, what did you do prior to applying at Claire’s?
Sam: Oh, I was a Frog wrangler.
Employer: …A frog wrangler?
Sam: Yep, full time.
I know what I’m watching for the thousandth time tonight.
Today in horror / comedy movie history: on July 31, 1987 The Lost Boys debuted.
Here's some art to mark the occasion!
That’s incredible!
Edgar would be the one to run quicker than the other too. In my mind he ahs always bee more of a action orientated man, and he acts before thinking everything through. He would run the second he realized he was going to be a threat to his brother and Sam. Just weeks alone in the wild, fighting the first until he can’t take it anymore and kills an animal, then hiding away to wallow in the guilt of what he has done.
I love your headcannons for vampAlan and vampSam, but Id like to hear your thoughts on a little idea I had a while back.
Rather than Sam or Alan getting vamp young, it's Edgar.
Human Alan and Sam are the ones having to deal with a vampEdgar and are completely flummuxed as to what to do.
First of all, I’m super glad that you like to hear me waffle about my turned lads! Second of all, I’m really gonna need you to bear with me, because if there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s latching onto an idea and pushing it to the extreme.
TW: Mentions of suicidal thoughts
So, starting from where the blood drinking/bite has already happened, because I can never settle on a story for how each of them get turned, in any AU. Something I’ve realised about my interpretation of the effects of vampirism, is that the pain and the hunger brings forth what a person hates most about themselves. Actually, that’s pretty much what monstrousness has always symbolised in horror, however, I just noticed how it’s happened with the vamp!AMB in my mind. Alan gets sick and sad, Sam gets mean and cold. In Edgar’s case, I think his wrath would come out, and I mean really come out.
Anyone who has been turned halfway becomes a ticking time bomb, of sorts. Unfortunately for Edgar, he gets far less of a lethargic preamble towards his first bout of hunger. If Michael was struggling within a few weeks, Alan a few months, for Edgar it was a few days. And he’s frightening. If you’ve watched “Ginger Snaps” and seen that scene where Ginger is clawing bloody scratches into a locked door? That’s the level of ferocious we’re talking about.
Sam had been staying with the Frogs since the incident, trying to help them work something out (though as you say, they’re totally listless), and help Alan try to soothe Edgar, as every fibre of his body now seems permanently alight. One day, when he chanced to step out for some provisions, he returns to the most gut wrenching sounds, swelling up the walls of the house.
He finds Alan, balled up in the corner of the landing, outside his and Edgar’s bedroom, tear streaked and trembling. There’s a stake cuddled against his front, tipped with wet blood. From behind the bedroom door (though it seemed to seep from every corner) rang the guttural screams of an enraged beast. Barely coherent, Alan tells Sam that Edgar flew at him, while he was alone. Sam notices flecks of frothy saliva dribbling down Alan’s cheeks and is chilled by the age of it raining from Edgar’s fanged mouth. Alan sobs when he says he couldn’t calm him down, couldn’t push him of, he had to hurt him. He had drawn the stake he had prayed he would never have to use, and thrust it into Edgar’s shoulder. As he had hoped, this had loosened a shrieking Edgar’s grip on him, long enough for him to throw him into the bedroom, full of crosses and protective herbs. He didn’t know where he got the strength. He had managed to stay on his feet long enough to lock the door, and lock their parents in their room.
Edgar had not been able to sleep in their room since it began. It had hurt all the more for his budding nesting instinct. Weakened by the purified room, and agonised by the wound in his shoulder and the shame of his attack on his brother, he eventually crumpled to the foot of the clawed door. His animalistic howls dissolved into a young boy’s cries. He curls up on the floor, like a dog, and wonders if he shouldn’t tear the curtains from the window and let the sunlight do what he cannot bring himself to do.
Edgar, like Alan would have, does leave home and much sooner. Unlike Alan, however, Edgar does not attempt to reintegrate into human society. He does not trust himself around people. This is what I meant about taking it to the extreme. Edgar cannot bring himself to surrender to the sun, or drive a stake through his heart. He tells himself he is a coward, but it is not just fear for himself that prevents him. Despite everything, Edgar still has the deep seated desire to live to protect Alan and Sam. Even if he never sees them again, he feels like taking his own life would be like betraying them, neglecting his duty. So he lives as a half vampire, but in isolation.
He does not find a clan, or a comfortable nest. He frequents a certain cave, but often ends up tucking himself away in the roof of a barn, or beneath a bridge for the day. Reports begin to spread around the farmland, of shredded and bloodless corpses of cattle, sheep and pigs being found. Of humanoid foot and handprints in the mud, nearby. From Edgar’s attacks rise rumours of a vicious gang. or great beast. He becomes something of a cryptid, in the area he resides.
When Alan and Sam track him down, he is almost unchanged. Almost, but for his wide, yellow eyes full of fearful recognition and a number of burns where the sun has just caught him.
I am sorry, buddy, this is pretty grim. I hope this was not to far from what you wanted, but your idea did get me inspired. If I have any more thoughts about this idea, I’ll be sure to post them! Thanks so much for this awesome ask!
Alan: If I call the police, they're gonna be here in ten minutes.
Marko: OK. Then that leaves me nine to beat the hell out of you.
Alan: You think? I know tae kwon do.
Marko: And I know whoop your ass!
Dwayne x Latina!Witch!OC
outline, please read if you’re interested in this and LET NE KNOW. Don’t just like, feel free to message me bc i’m going through a bit of a writer’s block so some encouragement and demand would help me along. Plus, the lack of fanfics in this fandom is criminal.
In a universe where Max took his time romancing Lucy (seriously, why did the entire plot of the movie occur over the course of a few days? like, i get the whole “horror movie needs to be fast-paced” aspect, but time skips are real and it would’ve built more suspense. also the reveal would’ve been better) over the course of a few months, gaining the trust and tolerance of Michael and Sam, as well as acclimating his Lost Boys to the whole “nuclear family” thing. That way, they all become friends. Except Sam is super suspicious due to the Frog brothers, and so is Grandpa and Nanook. It’ll start out the same way though, except the OC will be joining, too.
Sorry, sorry, *ahem* The Plot:
Jessamine Agustin is a floaty witch who likes to keep her presence in the corporeal world to a minimum. However, due to some personal tragedies and unexpected news, she decided the best and safest option would be to build roots and hone in her abilities more seriously. Where better than the murder capital of the world; Santa Carla? Teeming with the spirit life she so adores, Jessamine can safely practice her arts without scrutiny since most of the speculation revolves around the mysterious and ever growing Missing Persons population.
Jessamine is hired by Grandpa as a caretaker and assistant the same day as the Emersons move to town. Though initially cautious and disproving since she was supposed to take care of her father, Lucy is soon convinced of the new arrangement when it becomes easier for her to find a better job.
Grandpa gives Jessamine a lot of leeway as a employee and she often finds herself hanging out with Michael and Sam on the boardwalk. This is where the meets the dark and mysterious quartet, an odd energy surrounding them. Curiosity turns to friendship, which becomes affection towards the tall, dark and handsome biker, Dwayne.
A lot of problems arise as both a result of her presence, and that of Dwayne’s increasing affections, and the whole gang - made up of humans, witches, vampires and vampire hunters - have to find a way to get along to survive long enough to find solutions.
the lost boys fandom needs to explain something to me because either this makes no sense to anyone or im just stupid as
but why, out of my many days of being a lost boys fan, why do so many people hate on the frog brothers??
most of their defences are "they killed the lost boys!!" and "the lost boys were just kids!!", and dont get me wrong, i love the lost boys they are all my wives, but the frog brothers are like.. what? 14-16???
and plus, idk what kind of lost boys they are watching but edgar killed one of the them, which was marko, and then they injured paul before he got taken out by nanook, dwayne was killed by sam, and david was killed by micheal, so why are they pinning it on the frog brothers???
whenever im on ao3 i feel like a mother defending her children in court for being framed
LIKE????
ALAN, EDGAR GET BEHIND ME.
i think we should normalise putting the most randomest characters in our schools, like change their age and everything and just place them in our schools
like yes, i want to see paul always sitting in ie for never shutting up during lesson, i wanna see marko getting sent to reset for lobbing pens at dwayne across the classroom during science, i wanna see david getting stopped at the gate every morning for always coming in with trainers, no tie, his blazer in his bag and his shirt untucked
i want to see year 11 lost boys bullying year 7-8 frog brothers and sam before they all get booted out the school one by one because the frog brothers and sam kept telling the teachers about it
or like year 11 star picking year 3 laddie up from primary school with micheal, who had to bring sam, who had to bring the frog brothers
i could literally make 10 different posts about current school aus and never get bored
im literally crying because i just rewatched the lost bots trilogy and its never shown, mentioned or even hinted that anyone went back for Thorn
like.
LIKE.
someone needs to write or draw spmeone, loke the frog brothers, going back for thorn and he becomes their dog.
or i am literally goNNA GO CJRAZY
