crack au where in the beginning of book 3 when sirius comes to see harry in dog form he just...follows him onto the Knight Bus. and Harry's like 'well this is weird' but his life is weird. so whatever. and then the whole rest of the summer the dog just stays with him. since other people can see the dog he figures it's definitely not a Grim. And the dog seems pretty friendly. and well behaved. and he kinda likes. so harry's just shrugs and is like 'well this might as well happen' and when he meets up with his friends he tells them apparently he has a pet dog now.
can't decide if that would mean that book 3 still happens the same way as in canon or if peter takes one look at sirius and ditches and ron's always confused about why Scabbers ran away OR if Sirius eats Scabbers and consequently voldemort doesn't return and Harry has a very chill rest of his time at Hogwarts (except for the bit where he inevitably discovers that his dog is actually not a dog).

He wanted to have an animal form for stealth and sneaking purposes since dumbles doesn't give him the cloak in this au cuz hes in Slytherin
But his animagus form said FUCK STEALTH
It may be the smallest species of dragon to ever exist, but it's still way to fucking big for stealth.
Sooo.. cat amulet/necklace thing. Unfortunately this is also not the best either cuz his fur is very unique and rememberable.
(also he thinks his fur's kinda a dead giveaway for who he is, yet somehow Snape is the only one who recognizes him on sight??? Like how?? It's so obvious???? Harry lives in constant confusion at the actions of the wizarding poplulas)
And since Lyndwurms are usually very sneaky looking that's where Harry gets the parseltounge ability, all the snakes think he has a weird growlly-growllish accent.
The wings flap like- alternately? (When the front ones go up the back ones go down and vice versa) And when they rub together fast it creates static electricity' otherwise his movements are just kinda floaty like a fairy fly, (which is a real thing, microscopic fly that basically swims thru air with it's giant fairy wings hence the name.)
This species of dragon mostly eats birds and fish and is a very good swimmer- Just picture like- an electric eel crossed with a dragonfly.
it is also very very extinct so everyone is confused in the beginning except Charlie the token dragon nerd who has read every dragon book ever.
He is also a pretty boy, because I said so. Harry deserves to be pretty. He has heterochromia? (Is it called that when it's just the hair?)

Y/n woke up to the sound of very loud snoring. That was strange none of your roommates in your dorm snores but that's when you realized you weren't in your dorm anymore. Instead you were in a cave with two dragons blocking the exit. Both seemingly asleep. " What beautiful creatures. " I whispered to myself. I wanted to get closer to one but something was holding me back a silver chain around my ankle.
" I see you have woken up. " A male's voice said. The dragon closest to the cave had gone without a trace in its place stood Fred weasley or at least who I thought was Fred might have be George. " I'm sorry in advance but which twin are you?" I asked. " I'm Fred" he replied. " So this must be George." I said jestering to the peacefully sleeping dragon. " Yes it is. " Fred replied stroking the dragon or George's neck.
" errr Fred why am I here and why do I have a chain wrapped around my ankle?" I asked him. " Well dragons like to collect beautiful and precious things. " Fred said. " I can tell by the amount of galleons and gem you and George have got in that heap over there. " I said . " But still what's that got to do with me?" I asked. A new voice joined in the conversation. George he had evidently woken up and decided to be human again.
" look who decides to join the living again. " Fred joked. " Ok but siriusly are one of you two going to answer my question?" I asked now annoyed. " Well your the most precious gem we found and we just had to have you. " George said.
How convenient, that my MC animagus form is a falcon. Oh well.
