Ascendant - Tumblr Posts
Astro Observations 3 (Mini)
- [ ] 12th house stellium people love being alone. They can literally stay in their bedroom for a week or even weeks! (if there’s food in there)
- [ ] One aspect that Indicates low self esteem the most, I think it’s Venus Square Saturn in my opinion. Especially tight orb like 0-1 degree. Doesn’t mean you can’t fix this but You guys need a lot work to overcome this.
- [ ] People who have a lot of aspects from Outer Planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) to personal Planets especially Sun, Moon, Venus, Ascendant, Midheaven are SPECIAL in many ways, they got that something unexplainable, that otherworldly Aura/energy, very powerful, strong magnetism. REAL MAGNETIC. I used to date someone who has 10+ Major aspects and 5 Minor Aspects between Outer planets to Personal Planets. Guys, trust me, YOU WILL NEVER EVER FORGET THEM. A very Special person!. (let’s share yours with me :) how many aspects you have !? :)
- [ ] When you study your own chart. Pay attention to Dominant planets (Top3 planets that influence your chart the most). They all shape your overall energy, personality, character and your life.
- [ ] People with Venus-Uranus aspects are hard to fully commit to a relationship. They don’t wanna lose their freedom unless they are really really crazy about you. BUT be careful! Because they tend to lose interest very quick too(if you got nothing to sustain their curiosity or keep them interested). And this doesn’t mean that they’re not looking for a relationship tho.
- [ ] Fixed Sign Dominant people are se*y in my opinion.
- [ ] People with a lot of harsh aspects are more complex and interesting( more s*xy too)
- [ ] Also even if you have a lot of harsh aspects in your chart, don’t be sad about it coz they helps you grow and become stronger.
- [ ] Virgo Sun Scorpio moon combo may suffer alot from anxiety. They appear and act like an intellectual with logic but what actually drives them is their emotions. It’s the fact! Also, they are the most mysterious virgo. Calm, cool with depth. Men with this aspect are hella s*xy
- [ ] As you already know that Your sign or/and planets in Midheaven shows how you are viewed in public, workplace. And that can be a bit confusing with Ascendant. Don’t get mixed up. You may think that one particular person is a Taurus Rising but turns out opposite.
- [ ] I think it’s true that you tend to get along well with people with the same Rising as yours.
Astro Observations 4 (+ placements I find Attractive at the bottom)
- [ ] Mars-Venus Conjunction (or at least in the same sign) indicates popularity? In my observations, they are a YouTubers, Influencers, content Creators, Insta Models.
- [ ] Sun-Uranus people I’ve met, most of them are LGBTQ, also me (is it a coincidence??)
- [ ] Also Aquarius Risings I know, most of them are LGBTQ
- [ ] Have you ever attracted enemies or people who hated you for no reasons? Do you have any planets in your 12th house??
- [ ] Your chart ruler should never be overlooked. Its position and aspects tell a lot about you. I found one website that really accurate 👉🏻 https://teaandrosemary.com/
- [ ] Is it only me? Who find Aries Rising Men have a ton of sex appeal.. it’s like there’s a fire in their eyes, a warrior eyes, very sexy, very firery. I know one friend who is Aries Rising and also Mars Square Rising together. I wanna F him😂
- [ ] Are Gemini stellium a gossiper?
- [ ] You tend to be attracted to people who share the same Moon sign or at least find them interesting and wanna know more about them.
- [ ] From my observations, People with Venus Conjunct Mars are always in a relationship. They don’t stay single for too long. When they break up with someone, not too long and they will be in the next relationship. Maybe because it’s not so difficult for them to attract love interest since they are really attractive and easy to be around.
- [ ] Is it true for Venus in 12th house native that you just know what it feels like to be heart broken even if your heart never been broken before? Or you just know what it feels like to fall deeply in love or beloved by someone even if it’s never happened before? They said that Venus in 12th house has learned every lessons about love (1-11 houses) from the past lives.
- [ ] I have interacted with 2 persons in my life who has interceptions in their charts, and it felt like there’s an imbalance in their personality, lack of something I can’t pinpoint, I dunno, something missing in their personalities. ( both of them are unaware and not into astrology tho, and I believe that if they were , they would fill the hole by working on something)
- [ ] I think that the Sun sign that easiest to spot is Aquarius Sun. They are everything but generic.
- [ ] In my opinion, I think the most egotistical placement if undeveloped is sun in the 1st house.
- [ ] Also, sun in the 1st house natives, most likely to have the same sign as their rising. People with This placement give off the Main Character energy. Strong character, and people see you as a leader, and of course you have a great leadership skill.
- [ ] There’s always some people in your workplace or school who seen as different and unique. Check if they have Uranus in the 1st house. And if it’s happen to make a Major aspect to the their Sun, their uniqueness is even amplified and more apparent. It may not be so obvious but people will have an idea that they are not like others.
- [ ] Also look at the house that the Sun and Uranus sit in may give you more insight. For example: if they have Uranus in the 1st house and Sun in the 10th house ( which squaring each other), their work could be unique and offbeat. Very outstanding!
- [ ] Not only Scorpio IC that have a tough and traumatic childhood, but Also Aries. ( need to see the whole chart though)
- [ ] Gemini Risings look young and got bright eyes like a child.
Lastly, what BIG 3 combination you find most attractive and/or what placement in a birthchart you find irresistible and why? Share with me 😊
Placements I find charismatic
- [ ] Venus in Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, Aries
- [ ] Mars in Aries, Leo, Scorpio, Gemini
- [ ] Moon in Aquarius, Scorpio, Libra, Aries
- [ ] Sun in Taurus, Aquarius, Pisces, Libra
- [ ] Mercury in Libra, Virgo, Pisces
- [ ] Fixed Risings (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus), Sag and Cappy!
- [ ] Venus-Uranus, Venus-Pluto, Mars-Pluto, Sun-Uranus, Moon-Pluto, Moon-Uranus
- [ ] Venus/Sun/Mars/Moon in 8th house
- [ ] Mars/Uranus in 1st house
- [ ] Uranus in 5th house
- [ ] 11th house Stellium, 8th house Stellium, 5th house Stellium
Astrology aspect can indicate someone who is attractive but in the same time no body talk to him they are afraid to take close to him/her?
Thanks

• PLACEMENTS THAT MAKE YOU INTIMIDATING TO YOUR ADMIRERS OR POTENTIAL SUITORS •
🖤 Prominent Lilith (Black Moon) and/or aspecting Personal Placements; Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Ascendant
I cannot stress this enough. Majority of people I know — regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation — have prominent or significant Lilith placements sitting in their birth charts. These natives can ensnare a room full of strangers even in their most haggard days. They're the ones people would stare at, or do a double-take while walking in the streets.
However, people who are more reserved would be intimidated to approach these natives because those admirers know that there's something dangerous and seductive simmering underneath the Lilith natives' outward persona. This is especially true for Lilith-Ascendant, Lilith-Moon, and Lilith-Venus aspects.
🖤 Venus square/opposite/inconjunct Mars
Now, we all know the sex-appeal of natives with Venus-Mars aspects. But there's something overwhelming about the presence of the person with a negatively aspected Venus-Mars. It's like being wounded by a blade you thought had a smooth edge, only to find out it was serrated. This scares or intimidates most admirers, and even the bravest suitor would admit that this native is quite a handful.
🖤 Venus aspecting Jupiter (any aspect; but especially applicable to conjunction)
The reason why a potential suitor or admirer could be intimidated by a Venus-Jupiter native is because the native may be admired by many! If you have this aspect in your chart, either you are aware that you have a lot of "options" to choose from (trine, sextile). On the other hand, you could also be unaware that you are the apple of many admirers' eyes (conjunction, square, opposition). Therefore, a potential suitor may feel as if they don't have a chance to catch your attention, and may not even attempt to let their presence known in the first place.
🖤 Sun/Venus/Mars aspecting Saturn
This one is quite straightforward. Natives with these aspects are intimidating and dominating in nature, whether they are aware or not.
If you have Sun-Saturn aspects, there is seriousness and maturity in your demeanor that most people are not ready for. You date to settle, not to play. And a lot of potential suitors may not even know what they want from you. So, your clean-cut approach can overwhelm them.
If you have Venus-Saturn aspects, this is quite similar to the one above. The difference is that you are very protective of yourself, your energy, and your body. You aren't one to give in to anyone easily. This confuses most of your potential suitors, seeing you as some sort of coquettish tease. But you stand your ground, and don't let them dictate what you should do or feel. This makes them feel that you aren't an "easy target," and may give up. (A big kuddos to you! 😌👏)
If you have Mars-Saturn aspects, the same description from above can be said to you. In addition to that, however, is that you tend to dominate your relationships, and are most definitely not a pushover! You are willing to compromise only to an extent. You aren't one to sacrifice your goals, your comfort, and time to anyone you deem isn't worthy of you. Your standards are very admirable, to be honest.
🖤 Mercury aspecting Venus and/or Mars
This one is self-explanatory. You are intimidating to your admirers or potential suitors because you simply are too smart for them! Your intellectual prowess is overwhelming them, and can make them feel insecure about their own intelligence. Sure, they may call you a know-it-all; but you simply are just out of their league, and they're painfully aware of that. 🤷♀️
🖤 Asteroid Medusa (149) negatively aspecting Sun, Mars, and/or Ascendant
With this one, it's quite specific. Asteroid Medusa's lore and effect on a person's birth chart (if negatively aspected) is that the native has the capability to lure admirers, yet leave them in the cold once the native had their fill of what they wanted from the admirers. These natives have the ability to flaunt their beauty — they really are actually aware of their physical appearance — and can play coy with their potential suitors just for the heck of it.
Most people I know with these aspects in their charts are known heartbreakers, and are known to put their suitors through the ring of fire as a way to know if they could handle the heat of these natives' personalities. (Most of the time, the suitors give up).

Your 12th house gifts and areas you struggle with most, according to your rising sign.

The 12th House is traditionally a desolate, dark, and isolating place. But what insights might you gain, were you to confront and explore that which you've been avoiding? Not unlike how every chart has a “natal promise”, every 12H has positive potential and negative burdens to show for itself. Here, we shall dive into that. Use Whole Sign Houses.
— Aries Rising with Pisces in the 12H:
· Gift: Aries risings are profoundly intuitive & empathetic and this fact is oft understated. These people tend to be blessed with creativity & plenty of artistic gifts, and are incredibly inspirational to those around them. The teacher that inspires their students so profoundly they remain unforgotten even decades later, the hype man that supports their friend group’s endeavors most — these archetypes are found across the zodiac spectrum, but at an unusually high concentration among Aries risings.
· Struggle: they tend to feel overwhelmed by their unspoken emotions and have a hard time asserting personal boundaries. Aries rising natives tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves, and have a hard time keeping things in. If they *feel* something, they will make it known.
— Taurus Rising with Aries in the 12H:
· Gift: Taurus risings are blessed with incredible resiliency, & can overcome anything if they so desire. They tend to enjoy most & even be skilled at artistic pursuits that revolve around the erotic &/or grotesque. They are rarely put off by things, and are the type of people that can listen to you vent about all sorts of topics, no matter how ‘gross’ or taboo.
· Struggle: ironically, Taurus rising natives tend to simultaneously be very impatient while also being inclined to repressing and internalizing all sorts of emotions, not unlike a dormant volcano, leading to inner and outer conflict. They tend to be hot-headed and struggle letting go of matters they found hurtful.
— Gemini Rising with Taurus in the 12H:
· Gift: These people are incredibly grounded intellectually and it shines through their mental clarity and ability to communicate with precision. Though they may appear scatterbrained to others, their mind palace is incredibly well-compartmentalized. They tend to be great at artistic pursuits that call upon multiple senses at once and provide strong sensorial experiences.
· Struggle: Gemini rising natives tend to overanalyze emotions, which hinders the spontaneity and adaptative quality associated with other Gemini placements. They also tend to repress their desire for relational pleasure and connection, and have a hard time accepting that even they desire to connect with others.
— Cancer Rising with Gemini in the 12H:
· Gift: Cancer risings are capable of understanding the perspective of others with incredible ease, which grants them a versatile penmanship & communication skillset. They tend to excel at communication, writing, teaching, getting things across, as no matter how complex the topic at hand they will manage to break it down to others in a manner that is simple enough to be understood by anyone — in part explaining why they tend to be so great with kids.
· Struggle: Cancer rising natives often have a hard time reconciling rational thought with emotional intuition, leading to indecision — growing up, possibly as a defense mechanism, most Cancer risings tend to pick one end of the emotion vs reason spectrum and sticking to it, leading to unavoidable inner tension in adulthood.
— Leo Rising with Cancer in the 12H:
· Gift: not unlike Aries risings, their intuitive senses & understanding of other people’s hidden emotions are widely underestimated. Their ability to foster deep emotional connections with others & nurture those around them is second to none. They also tend to have the very rich & versatile emotional inner world that is often associated with water moons – in part explaining why they’re known for their creativity & dramatic flair.
· Struggle: Leo risings have a tendency to retreat into isolation upon feeling vulnerable. They tend to repress their feelings from the outside world, and hardly feel comfortable enough to let anyone in. In more extreme cases, there might even be a propensity towards denying certain emotions and repressing them altogether. They have a very polished facade & a strong sense of self, and consequently will hardly appreciate breaking out of character.
— Virgo Rising with Leo in the 12H:
· Gift: Virgo risings are known for telling it like it is — their authentic manner of self-expression and courage to confront anything that gets in their way is their signature brand. Though many Virgo risings tend to prefer blending in and going unnoticed, they’re in actuality extremely creative, and will hardly let other people’s narrative steer them at will.
- Struggle: a Virgo rising’s biggest critic is themselves, and oftentimes they tend to forget that their own desire to be perfect may not be shared by others, as most people value authenticity over perfection — leading to Virgo rising natives feeling rejected by those around them, as their desire to advise and help is inextricably linked to their sense of self. They tend not to realize that said advice is often unwarranted and unsought for, consequently taking everything to heart, which may result in them struggling with self-acceptance and vulnerability.
— Libra Rising with Virgo in the 12H:
· Gift: Libra risings have mastered the art of knowing that multiple things can be true at once, & their analytical minds are loaded with insight into hidden dynamics & truths. They tend to favor a practical approach to resolving emotional conflicts, which makes them seem as though they fear & avoid conflict, when in truth they had already assessed the situation and figured out the best path to returning to center.
· Struggle: Libra risings repress thought & opinion to keep the peace, & consequently feel as though their opinions matter less or not at all to those around them — which, once brought up, might come across as a point of confusion to those around them who generally value their insights immensely. They also tend to overanalyze emotions, be it their own or those of others, and thus struggle with expressing deeper feelings, or believing others to begin with, leading to inner conflict.
— Scorpio Rising with Libra in the 12H:
· Gift: Scorpio risings posess the ability to understand subconscious patterns no matter how convoluted they may be. Even at times where they struggle with understanding themselves, their emotions, desires and behavioural patterns, those of others are hardly a secret to them.
· Struggle: the 12th house is a lesson on balance & compromise for Scorpio risings. Their desire for harmony in inner conflicts is often at odds with their own subjectivity & inclination towards taking extremes in their daily lives, so they tend to struggle immensely with balance. They simultaneously obsess over & repress their hidden desires & preferences, leading to power struggles within the self. They also tend to struggle with forming connections with others, whether it’s due to failed past connections or an inherent fear of commitment or merely an extreme sense of detachment.
— Sagittarius Rising with Scorpio in the 12H:
· Gift: Sagittarius risings are known for their fearlessness and inclination towards spiritual & occult pursuits. A Sagittarius rising is never one to say no to or back down from new experiences, and have a sense of freedom that is defining to their personhood. Everyday is a potential new lesson to these people.
· Struggle: the same sense of freedom may lead to their tendency towards escapism. They tend to struggle with confronting their less superficial, deeper emotions, & may repress their anger a lot in their youth — leading to their being a lot more explosive and thrill-seeking in adulthood. Sagittarius risings are the type to prefer trying anything – even things many would advise against, just to prove a point, whether to themselves or others – as they believe they have no teacher other than life itself.
— Capricorn Rising with Sagittarius in the 12H:
· Gift: Capricorn risings are known for their philosophical perspective & optimistic outlook on challenges, which often translates to an ability to grow wiser at a faster rate than their peers. Their beliefs & values play a crucial role in their selfhood, so they tend to invest a lot of time into spiritual pursuits.
· Struggle: the flip side of their beliefs and values shaping their inner world in a way that is hard to get across to others is that they may be the type to struggle with forming connections with people who do not share the same beliefs & philosophies. They also tend to fear failure more than anything, & struggle to surrender to their own place in the grander scheme of things — these two points are inextricably linked and in order to grow past either, you as a Capricorn rising ought to address both simultaneously.
— Aquarius Rising with Capricorn in the 12H :
· Gift: Incredibly disciplined and persevering in confronting their inner fears. Overtime, they tend to develop a sense of stability and self-mastery that is second to none. While not intuitive in the stereotypical sense, they tend to have inexplicable hunches about things that hardly ever turn out to be incorrect. They tend to live well with & within chaos, sometimes at the expense of their well-being.
· Struggle: they tend to repress emotions and have a strong fear of vulnerability, which hinders their ability to form intimate connections and grow emotionally — they feel as though they have a built-in indestructible wall blocking them out & holding them back from everyone else. They may struggle with becoming responsible, or feel as though they matured too soon. Sometimes, it’s a bit of both.
— Pisces Rising with Aquarius in the 12H:
· Gift: Pisces risings are infinitely more rational than they are believed to be. They have an uncanny approach to understanding subconscious patterns, & tend to reason their way through any situation before reaching a judgement. Very insightful people who tend to be incredibly inquisitive as well, and would prod answers out of anyone if they so desire.
· Struggle: Pisces risings tend to isolate often, whether as a way to recalibrate or just out of preference. Natives of this rising sign, especially those with Air moons, often struggle with detachment and may find it hard to relate to statements implying they are inclined towards emotionality. These people often have or had a “weird kid” reputation ascribed to them by their peers that often stuck well into adulthood.
P.S: one configuration cannot explain everything about you as a person with a full-chart and a bunch of unique personal experiences, so if you do not relate to everything, that’s fine. ♥
How to start your day according to your rising sign.

Your ascendant/first house represents the sign that was rising above the eastern horizon on the moment of your birth. However, within a broader cosmological framework, where houses each represent a different time of the day according to where the sun is, the First House represents the time of the day where the sun had just risen above the horizon. After a bit of experimenting, I have come to the conclusion that the best way to start your day is to align your early morning activities with those associated with your rising sign’s ruling planet. Here I explain how.
· Aries rising: start your day with a stimulating activity, something that gets you fired up and ready to engage with the day ahead. A workout session, a morning run, some stretching, or something as simple as a walk under the sun. Either way, you’d better get moving as soon as you get out of bed. Avoid getting your most challenging tasks of the day done as early as you wake up — rather, start with the simplest tasks and work your way up as a form of motivation.
· Taurus rising: take as much time as you need to get up. You have your entire day ahead of you, so make sure your morning remains a leisurely time — though I advise you to write a list of tasks down to make sure you have a roadmap of your day planned ahead. No matter how busy things get, make sure you at least start your day with a generous breakfast while enjoying your surroundings by eating in a balcony or somewhere you feel cozied up and relaxed. Investing in a morning skin care routine that works for you can only prove to be beneficial.
· Gemini rising: immediately engage in some mental stimulation. read a few chapters of a book, listen to a podcast, read some news, watch a video. Hell, even scrolling through social media wouldn’t hurt. Give your brain some much needed dopamine shots to get it going. If you’re learning a new language, try to memorize a couple words every morning. If you’re a student, try to study a bit right after waking up. If you have some manual tasks planned, get them done first thing in the morning.
· Cancer rising: schedule your morning routine around moon phases & transits. There are certain lunar transits (cardinal signs) or phases (new moon) where I would recommend starting your day with a workout and energy demanding activities, whereas on other transits (fixed signs) or phases (full moon), I would recommend taking things one step at a time, waking up gently, having a warm cup of your favourite drink, taking a bath, cooking, doing some gardening, and enjoying a relaxing morning before starting your day.
· Leo rising: Make sure that each morning is «you» time and let nothing get in the way of that. Soak up some sun light, start your day with positive affirmations, do 10 minutes of dancing, listen to music, meditate, draw a bit. Get yourself in the mood where you feel most confident and yourself, as there’s one watching you — you’re performing for no one but yourself. Self-care can mean many things and you need to find the form that works best for you. If you enjoy doing make up, do a creative look. If you like reading, read. You can even adapt your morning routine according to the sun’s transits.
· Virgo rising: it goes without saying that starting off your day with some journaling, list making, intention setting, tidying your place up and task planning can prove to be globally beneficial for everyone, but even more so for Virgo risings. You need as much mental stimulation as Gemini risings, if only with some added structure to it. Put yourself in the right mood where you can be productive instantly, get your tasks done starting with the most difficult ones so you'll have the rest of entire day for yourself, and remember to take breaks. It’s still early in the morning, after all!
· Libra rising: your mornings set the tone for the rest of your day — so make sure your day starts off on a harmonious note. Create a classical music playlist & play it every morning, have a nice breakfast – a nice drink and your favourite treat, do some pilates, read a couple page of a book you love, set your intentions for the day, do some bird watching, take a walk in a nearby green space or riverside and enjoy the aesthetics of nature & the scenery, choose an elegant outfit and pair it up with some jewelry & a nice perfume. Harmony is a balanced act that can easily be disturbed so make sure you keep your mornings free of external disturbances.
· Scorpio rising: you will benefit from starting your day gradually, & at a very measured pace. Try to weed out the eventuality that unexpected disruptions may arise (as that might disturb your inner balance & emotional state) by establishing firm boundaries and prioritizing activities that bring you joy & contentment. Any activities that promote focus, introspection, and empowerment would be great — namely journaling, meditation, deep breathing exercises to center yourself, or a 30 minutes workout session. If you enjoy writing, write down your feelings in the form of prose or poetry. Lists will also help you stay structured throughout the day & ensure you won’t spend it entirely inside your head.
· Sagittarius rising: start your day by doing some manifestation. Pick a method you prefer, and make sure you spend at least 5 minutes manifesting and setting intentions for the day ahead, as well as some long-term goal you’re working on. If you’re into philosophy, read a few pages of a philosophical book of your choice first thing in the morning. If you enjoy language learning, spend ~30 minutes learning new notions teaching yourself a full lesson. Drawing or making a moodboard can also help you manifest for the day. A morning walk where you take in your surroundings will also help you get into the right mood.
· Capricorn rising: buy a planner, and start your mornings by writing down your to-do list. Make sure you also have a couple pages dedicated to short term projects, and long term projects — try and check out a case from either every so often, every morning. Doing so will fill your mornings with intention as you will feel like you did something great for yourself (and you did indeed). And as is the case with every other cardinal signs — include a physical activity into your mornings. A 15 minutes run, a 30 minutes walk — whatever you deem best.
· Aquarius rising: write down your dreams & ideas fresh out of bed. Your mind comes up with the best scenarios & concepts early in the morning, so write them down — you never know, maybe one day you’ll find the resources, energy or will to expand on one of them. I have noticed that Aquarius risings come in two fixed archetypes, the type that enjoys socializing fresh out of bed and the type that needs 3 business hours before being able to utter a single word to others – so my advice is simple: if you’re the former: start your day with some socialization, text your friends, post on social media, and if you’re the latter: put your headphones on, read something (anything) and block out any and all external noise.
· Pisces rising: the transition from the realm of dreams to the waking world is a tougher challenge to you than most, so try to start your day slowly and gently. No abrupt and aggressive tasks, no strong drinks, no heavy food. Pressure is of 0 benefit to you so do not put yourself in your “awake” mode until you’re about to go outside. If you’re working on an art piece, draw some of it right now. If you’re writing a book, write down a couple lines as soon as you leave bed as your dreams might provide some extra insights & creativity you wouldn't be able to conjure up while awake. If you have plants, water them. If you have a balcony or garden, spend some time there just sitting & doing absolutely nothing.

Have a nice day!

DEEPER ASTROLOGY SHIT #3 THE THICK-ASS CROSS
Don’t let that beautiful name fool you. The Thick-Ass Cross is just the title for the relationship between the Ascendant, IC, Descendant, and Midheaven. If you don’t know what those four degrees are, look at this janky ass picture:

Great. Those two thick ass lines make up The Thick-Ass Cross, and that cross is gonna be your compass for your little self-discovery journey (aka Life). Understanding the significance of these four degrees is critical. They’re the context for the rest of the shit in your chart. Every chart has a Thick-Ass Cross. It helps you track your progress as you go through the process of learning how to be yourself in the world. Are the other house cusps important? Yeah. But we all know bigger is better. The thin-ass lines aren’t as crucial as these four mf-ers. So don’t worry about them for now.
First: One of the best things about Astrology is that it’s actually two things in one. When you look at your chart, you get (1) an overall snapshot of your potential and also (2) a map of how to get there. You get space and time in one. It’s a beautiful thing. For this post, we’re looking at (2) - the movement and evolution from the AC to the IC to the DC to the MC. These four degrees take you from one little feeling (AC) to a real live human being (MC). It goes like this:
THE ASCENDANT
You gotta start somewhere. So start at the beginning. The Ascendant is your pure essence. It’s the deepest, realest quality of who you are. There aren’t words to describe it - it’s something that you (and only you) feel. It is the string that holds all the beads of experiences together in your little life necklace. Every experience you have, thought you have, feeling you have grows out of the seed that is The Ascendant. The Ascendant shares the same qualities as Aries - all feeling, totally subjective, very pure. Way back when you were a little spirit fucking around out there in the ether thinking like, “damn I’m tired of being a lame ass intagible thing I wanna go get my substance on,” the Ascendant was what you planned to get out of living. This degree is so important. It’s why you’re even fucking with Life in the first place.
THE IC (IMUM COELI)
But just knowing why you’re here isn’t going to tell you how to get anywhere. Yeah, you’re a pure little thing and you can feel yourself, good for you. But you want to be real, so you’ve gotta start working that little identity out so it can beef itself up into something that can be seen and experienced and all that good stuff. So, next stop on the self-exploration train in the IC.
The IC is your identity. What’s the difference between your essence and identity? Astrologically speaking: Essence is pure and true and it is what it is; Identity is creative - it’s the persona you create for yourself. When you start defining yourself, thinking to yourself, “this is who I am,” you’ve crossed into IC territory. Defining and identifying yourself is a creative process. It has a Cancer quality. You’ve moved past just being who you are and you’ve started thinking, “shit, how am I going to turn these feelings into something real, how am I going to become myself, what the fuck even is a self?” Why do you think Cancer can become paralyzed with fear and totally unable to express itself? It’s working out some heavy questions. But. At the end of the day. You gotta develop a stable identity to move forward with your life - whatever that shit may be.
THE DESCENDANT
The Descendant is a turning point. Now, you step onto the scene for real. The Descendant is you coming face to face with some hard ass truths about yourself. It‘s all chill when you’re just hanging out developing some little ideas and opinions about yourself, but dang. The shit gets real when you gotta go out into the World and put your persona on the line. As soon as you start to test out your identity in the world, all the things you thought you knew about yourself go out the fucking window. Like Libra, the DC shows how and what you need to learn to be in relationship with the world and all the people and things in it. What actually happens when you start trying to be yourself - what does your Ascendant actually look like in action? Spolier: It looks like the Descendant.
The DC is a challenging degree. It starts the process of you actively being yourself in the World; you’re no longer just feeling yourself safely from inside your own head. The movement from Libra to Capricorn (or DC to MC, 7th house to 10th house) is where we have to come up against the reality of ourselves - we don’t always like what we see when we have to actually see ourselves reflected back at us from the World. But, like Libra, there’s two sides. Important to note that the DC is also a serious source of inspiration when we do come across the pieces of ourselves that we love and admire out in the World.
THE MIDHEAVEN
Through dealing with the reality of yourself in the world you get to come to a place where you see and accept yourself for who you are: The Midheaven is you when you’ve dealt with your shit. It’s your essence (AC) in action. You’re past engaging in some crazy ass shit, past imagining who you might be and trying to figure out who you are. The MC is you when you’re on top of your shit, when you’re confident in who you are, and when you’ve established yourself in the world. It’s the full on tree that grew from your baby Ascendant seed. You’re no longer worrying about the fucking seasons and all the conducive to growth bullshit. You’ve grown. You’ve taken an intangible, inexpressible feeling and from that you created an entire identity, then you put that identity on the damn line and you learned and you shared and now you’re solid enough in who you are that you can maybe think about dishing out some shade or some apples or whatever the fuck altruistic shit you got going on in your grown ass tree life.
The MC has a Capricorn quality. It’s you when you’re established. When you’re standing tall and you’ve turned a feeling into something tangible and real and powerful. Now you’re ready use your own power to empower others and contribute something meaningful to the World. Spoiler: your contribution is yourself.
THE ASCENDANT
Welcome back.
Last: Your chart is gonna look different to you depending on where you’re at in your life. Sometimes you’re closer to the AC, other times the MC. But if you ever feel lost and confused, the four degrees of The Thick-Ass Cross can help you get an idea of why you’re here, where you’re headed, and what moving forward in life will look like for you.
Peace, bitches.

If you’re born with an Aries Ascendant (or Rising sign), your soul’s journey revolves around mastering the art of initiation, courage, and self-leadership. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries rising invites you to be a trailblazer, carving out your unique path. But the deeper lesson isn’t just about boldness or pioneering—it's about learning to direct your fiery, primal energy into purposeful, conscious action.
The Ascendant represents the life path you’re destined to walk, the persona you present to the world, and the first impressions you leave behind. With Aries rising, your approach to life is direct, assertive, and often fueled by a sense of urgency. However, beneath the surface, the true lesson for Aries Ascendant is not simply about pushing ahead with sheer force. It’s about mastering the wisdom of restraint—knowing when to act and when to pull back, reflect, and allow things to unfold. Courage, for you, isn’t always about charging forward; it also lies in standing still, surrendering control, and trusting the process.
On a soul level, Aries Ascendant is learning the delicate balance between independence and interdependence. While you’re meant to express your individuality and trust your instincts, your journey often brings challenges that teach you to consider the needs and perspectives of others. Many Aries rising souls come into this world with a karmic imprint of defending themselves or proving their strength, only to discover that true strength lies within, not in external validation.
The Deeper Path of Aries Ascendant
Embracing Self-Leadership: You are here to lead by example, but true leadership inspires others, not controls them. Your challenge is to balance your fierce independence with empathy, learning that influence comes through inspiring, not overpowering.
Mastering Impulse and Patience: While your nature drives you to act swiftly, the real power comes from learning to pause. Patience becomes your greatest ally as you refine how and when to channel your fiery energy.
Understanding the Self through Challenges: Life may feel like a series of battles, but wisdom comes from discerning which ones matter. Growth arises when you learn when to push forward and when to let go, realizing that not every conflict is worth engaging.
Initiation and New Beginnings: You excel at starting new ventures, but your journey is about seeing them through. A key lesson is learning to stay committed to projects and relationships, even when the initial excitement fades.
Developing Emotional Maturity: Acting on emotion comes easily, but you’re learning that true strength is found in emotional wisdom. Responding thoughtfully, rather than reacting impulsively, is the key to personal growth and empowerment.
Learning to Work with Others: Though independence is your cornerstone, collaboration will teach you invaluable lessons in balance. Engaging with others doesn’t mean losing yourself—it enriches your growth and deepens your understanding of shared purpose.
Healing the Wounded Warrior: You might feel the need to constantly defend yourself, but healing arrives when you let down your guard. True power isn’t found in endless battles; it’s discovered in cultivating inner peace.
Learning about Boundaries and Balance: Knowing when to forge ahead and when to step back is crucial. Your path is about striking a balance between action and rest, independence and connection, intensity and calm.

In this lifetime, you’re being called to balance your warrior spirit with wisdom, your fierce independence with meaningful connection, and your impulsiveness with patient reflection. You are here to cultivate a deep sense of inner worth and stability that transcends the physical realm.
Taurus Ascendant people come into this life to confront their relationship with value—both in terms of self-worth and their connection to material success. The Rising Sign of Astrology: Unveiling Your Hidden Persona
Shaina Tranquilino
September 4, 2023

Astrology, an ancient belief system that has captivated humanity for centuries, encompasses a myriad of facets that delve into the depths of our personalities and destinies. While many are familiar with their sun sign, which represents their core essence, astrology also sheds light on another crucial element known as the rising sign or ascendant. In this blog post, we will explore the rising sign's significance in deciphering your hidden persona and how it influences your interactions with the world.
Unveiling the Rising Sign:
The rising sign is determined by the exact time and location of an individual's birth. It represents the zodiac constellation ascending on the eastern horizon at that specific moment. Considered the mask worn by individuals when they first encounter others, it shapes their outward behaviour, appearance, and initial impressions of people.
Importance and Influence:
1. First Impressions:
Just like a book cover entices readers to pick it up, your rising sign offers a glimpse into your initial impression of others. Whether confident and assertive or shy and reserved, this facade can influence how people perceive you during first encounters.
2. Physical Appearance:
While genetics play a significant role in determining one's physical traits, astrology suggests that the rising sign also contributes to an individual's appearance. For example, an Aries rising may possess strong facial features exuding energy and determination; however, a Libra rising might have softer facial characteristics with graceful charm.
3. Compatibility:
Understanding both your sun sign (representing your core being) and your rising sign can provide valuable insights into compatibility with other individuals. Sometimes referred to as "relationship chemistry," analyzing these signs together can help identify potential harmonies or conflicts between two people.
4. Life Path:
The rising sign not only influences interpersonal relationships but also plays a vital role in defining one's life path. It impacts the type of experiences and opportunities that come your way, as well as your general approach to life. For instance, an Aquarius rising may have a strong inclination towards humanitarian causes or social reform, while a Capricorn rising might be driven by ambition and career success.
While astrology is often regarded with skepticism by some, exploring the rising sign can offer intriguing insights into our hidden personas and how we interact with the world. This unique facet of astrological interpretation allows us to comprehend the initial impressions we make on others and provides valuable clues about our physical traits, compatibility with others, and even our life path.
By understanding both our sun sign and rising sign, we gain a deeper comprehension of ourselves and those around us. It is important to remember that astrology should not dictate our lives but rather serve as a tool for self-reflection and personal growth. Embrace the rising sign's influence in shaping your interactions with the world, and let it help you navigate through life's vast cosmic tapestry.
