Bnha Theory - Tumblr Posts
So I have a TDDK theory
In this opening (1st op of season 4, Polaris) we have Todoroki staring at Midoriya bc he’s obvs very gay for him (and probably has been for a while let’s be real)

Midoriya, however, doesn’t seem to notice Todoroki staring, too focused on what’s ahead of him
But THEN
We have this (from the 2nd op of season 4, Star Maker) where Midoriya is very noticeably looking back at Todoroki

So my theory is that somewhere in between the start of the internships and the cultural festival, Midoriya caught feelings for Todoroki too
The scene that stands out the most is the “heroes cry too” thing where Todoroki notices Midoriya is troubled and offers him comfort in the form of his words (and half his soba)
And I believe that is when Midoriya started to think of Todoroki in a more than friends lighting
One thing about Todoroki is that after the “ITS UR POWER” he was always there for Midoriya. He came to his rescue with Stain, he listened to Midoriya about Kouta and gave advice, he stood by Midoriya’s side when they “rescued” Bakugou and basically always has his back
Midoriya has been criticized for being a cry baby all his life (even by All Might) but then Todoroki is there, not only telling him that its okay to cry, but that it’s okay for heroes to cry too. Just imagine how much that would mean to him
And now we have Midoriya dealing with the aftermath of his internship and Todoroki who has his remedial lessons to worry about. Neither of them have really had time to talk to the other
Midoriya is probably wondering whether his feelings for Todoroki are admiration, gratefulness, or something more. Like I said before they can barley find a moment to talk to each other, much less be alone together, so the feelings remain uncertain
But in the screencap from the Star Maker, Midoriya is looking back at Todoroki, watching him. Like there’s something he wants to talk to Todoroki about, but he hasn’t been able to find the chance due to the distance between them because of their different obligations.
Basically what I’m trying to say is that it is canon that these boys both have feelings for the other
Now we just have to wait for one of them to say it out loud
Bnha Theory:
Ectoplasm and twice are cousins or brother.
Bnha chapter 294
Ok so in recent manga chapter mr compress reviled how he is able to you use his quirk. He has to be able to touch the objects or person he wants to compress.
There two Promblem with this one. Compress would have to be able to touch the person that means during the trading camp compress would have ahd to touch not only bakugo bit tokoyami as well before the others noticed. Witch probes a Promblem to how his quirk works. Say he was able to touch Tokoyami who behind bakugo he would then have to touch nakugo in taut amount fo time without the others notching. Second the only reason they were aware taht they had Tokoyami and bakugo was because he showed himself. That one Promblem
Second the fight with snatch agina compress has to apparently touch whatever he going to compress . In these really messy screen shots you can see comtes sis not touching snatch when he compress

At fist glance I thought compress did touch him when he compress but then I relished that was snatch and not compress. There is no way compress could have touched snatch without being incarcerated by Dabi flames. He is also not shown anywhere wheat there
I found a plot whole
I wanna be with you guys
This is the name of the latest bnha chapter. And since I am a firm believer in Kaminari is traitor theory I have a lot of thoughts
First of all, cheers to Midnight for being super supportive and calming Denki down

I think it's clear that Kaminari is having some kind of turmoil. Of course, casual reader would just say that this is because he was sent to the front lines but I have to disagree. Tokoyami, Mushroom girl, Tamaki Amajiki and Juzo Honenuki are on the front lines too but somehow they are not in panic and they are not the focus of this chapter
But Denki Kaminari is

I have a feeling that his fight with this villain who is introduced basically saying "Hello, I am OP af" is an important one. Well, they do have the same lighting strike in the hair and very similar quirk. So my guess is that they are relatives. And the reason why mister villain believes he is unstoppable is because the only one who CAN stop him - Denki - is on theirs, villain's side. My theory is that Denki was discovered as UA traitor during the timeskip or even earlier and he, in fact, was leaking info about school but after relevation he became Hawks 2.0 - a double agent.
If current Electro-Villain really is Kaminari's relative it would add only more drama to the situation. Who would he choose: his family and villainy or his friends and heroics?.. Tokoyami's presence in this chapter now adds more sense... He is there to show that Denki truly loves his classmates
So villains believe Kaminari is still their informator while Hero in training Chargebolt clearly says it himself:

[in official translation it sounds better 'I wanna be with you guys' same as the chapter name]
He made his choice. And I am so proud of him even though it's just a theory that I am now way too attached to

If Midoriya actually did have a quirk this entire time, I'm pretty sure the idea @animaatra has would be it. It lines up a lot with Midoriya's character as a whole.
First of all, it goes along Midoriya's nature. From what we've heard from Chikose, people are drawn to certain things depending of the nature with quirks. Toga's quirk requires her consuming the blood of others, causing her to have an interest in it.
Midoriya has some habit of analysing other's quirks. If he actually had a quirk this entire time, it had to be related with the quirks of others, based from how Midoriya is so drawn to analysing quirks. He also tends to bring out the best of others and inspire them.
There's the naming shenanigans too. Some names in BNHA are based off of their quirks. Like "Shouto" actually has the kanjis "Burn" and "Freeze" and "Bakugo" litterally means "Detonation".
"Izuku" has "出", meaning "Coming out", or "Emerging". Midoriya actually having a quirk that pulls out the potential of other quirks also lines up with this meaning of his name.
Also goes well with the theme of 'One For All', with Midoriya's true original quirk litterally being a quirk that can be used for all.
It's possible that due to him believing he was 'quirkless', he couldn't use his quirk to its full potential. (As I said eariler, I don't think it can work on itself). He only might've used it subcounsciously, like with Eri. And note that Eri was on his back at the time, meaning it porbably only works upon physical contact.
This quirk can be real broke or OP though when he discovers it. He could even use it on OFA and become a real planet buster lmao. Though, if this does happen, I do trust Horikoshi that he'll won't make it too overpowered. Like putting a time limit or having the same situation as Eri, like he can't actually control it. Maybe when he uses it on OFA, it doesn't have an effect of the Stockpile Quirk, only on the other quirk that originally came from AFO's brother, and he could pass on OFA without DNA ingestion.
We could be overthinking and Midoriya is actually quirkless. But it's not bad to think about the possibility. (This seems to add more parallels with Shigaraki considering his Decay quirk...)
So another dad for one idea, what if Deku does have a quirk? what if his quirk is a combination of all for one’s and Inko’s that he can pull quirks out?
Basically what if Deku seeing all the previous users of one for all is him pulling other powers out of the quirk? Him pulling more powers to himself without knowing it?
What if this was intentional (like a quirk marriage only Inko doesn’t know that she has no idea) all for one sought out a quirk like Inko’s because a combination of these quirks would get past the way one for all is passed down
Just a quick idea I had let me know what you think =)

WHAT IF SHIGARAKI IS THE REINCARNATION OF THE FIRST OFA USER????
Like, what if since Nana was an OFA user, that her children/grandchildren also had a small connection to it, and somehow through that connection, AFO’s brother was reincarnated into Tenko Shimura? Think about it. Other than being Nana’s grandson, Tenko wasn’t exactly special, but AFO still helped him and took him in as his successor. It could’ve been to spite All Might sure, but AFO knew who Tenko was, so why didn’t he go for any of the other Shimuras before Tenko’s quirk formed if AFO knew about them? There’s also the theory that AFO gave Shigaraki decay, if that’s true, then why did he go for Tenko and not, say, Hana? And if so, then Tenko might have been quirkless, like everyone believed AFO’s brother to be. And look at how SIMILAR they look!
This is just some theory I had at like 2 am, but what do you guys think? If you want to dig deeper into this theory, go ahead
What if Midoriya has a quirk without knowing it?

*Manga Spoilers Below BTW*
What if Midoriya’s quirk is his analysis skills, I mean in the show they comment on his analysis skills a couple times.
And it was revealed that the doctor that diagnosed him was Dr.Ujiko, All for One’s doctor, so what if Ujiko had a pre-scanned x-ray of a quirkless kid’s foot and said it was Midoriya’s.
So what if Dr. Ujiko told Midoriya he was quirkless so All for One could steal his quirk, but All for One never got to him.
So Midoriya has a quirk without realizing it because there is no physical signs of it. Just his analyzing skills.
Another random theory that popped in my head XD
Theories For Chapter 193 Because no one Can Stop Me

I've been thinking so much about this, Horikoshi destroyed me with that meeting with the first user/flashback. My cousin has been helping with a lot of this theories.
- Rereading the chapter I realized something, AFO gave his brother a quirk he had adquired from some one else so there is another user of their quirk before the known 9. Maybe one of the shadows is him? Because if One For All is a stolen ability like it is implied then All For One's brother is not the first wielder.
I know One For All is a combination of quirks but the strength comes from an unknown original user.

- AFO's younger brother tells Deku "I wanted to show you more but it seems like you can only manage 20% now" I actually wonder if that is the level of control on his quirk he possesses and since it's only 20%, the younger brother will only tell him 20% of the story.

- I noticed AFO's brother looks a lot like Shigaraki. Like a lot. Maybe that's why he is so fond of the grey haired weirdo?

- All Might said it was imposible to interact with the past users so maybe Izuku is related to them somehow. Or maybe things are becoming so fucked up the user somehow is communicating with Izu from the after life?

- What the hell is going on on that last panel? Did he regenerate his hand or did he scorch himself? Seems plausible given that One For All is a combination of other quirks. I've been thinking that since not all the users of this quirks had to be quirkless maybe one of them had a healing quirk? Idk

- Also, Izuku realizing All Might was wrong on what he told him about their quirk might bring some trouble far ahead.
…Why did I just realized WHY Touya/Dabi’s hair changed color and why does it symbolize something?!?
In the Todoroki household, if you have white hair you have ice resistance, and if you have red you have fire resistance.
Or you could say, they have those quirks but if my memory plagues me right, the more Touya’s hair turn white, the more his fire injure him.
I mean, Endeavor wasn’t going to put his hopes and dreams on the boy that they knew couldn’t handle it. That fact, the fact that he is fire resistant, became false.
When we see the white sprinkled in red, that’s when Enji learned that Baby T was getting burned. Only once his resistance (and hair color) changed, than Endeavor stopped caring about Touya. His fire didn’t just suddenly get hotter, he became less resistant (but still pretty resistant as he wasn’t that burnt)
I remembered reading someone’s au of Fuyumi is that she is fire resistant as well, but I guess, because she is such a minor character that no creditable sources care to point out whether or not she is— However, if she was, it’d fit under this theory as she has red stripes in her head of white.
(And they headcanon that Dabi and her loves to fight with their quirks because they’re fire proof and ice proof respectively. This is canon in my head now.)
They used his hair color to show the quirk changing. And I love that.
WARNING!! Bnha manga spoilers ahead!!
Got it?
Okay.
Now that we got that out of the way I have Kurogiri/Shirakumo Oboro theory.
OKAY BUT NEWEST BNHA MANGA CHAPTER HAS ME SOBBING.
like...
THIS BOI

THIS PRECIOUS CUTENESS BOI WHO MUST BE PROTECTED

THE BOY WHO WAS FRIENDS WITH AIZAWA SHOTA AND HIZASHI YAMADA
(They even planned to be heroes together)

Shirakumo Oboro. He died when he was only 17 and then was turned into a nomu (yes, that's right) we all know as Kurogiri. Yes, his dead body was taken and then made into a nomu by AFO to be a caretaker for Shigaraki. That's canon.
My eyes are watering just by thinking about it, but... I have a theory about how this whole situation could turn out.
What if... They used Eri's quirk on him?
As we've all seen Eri was able to make her father disappear, which means she can rewind at least 20 years right??
SO, if Shigaraki was like 5 when he killed his family, 20 now (based on manga chapter 221) that leaves us with 15 year gap.
Shirakumo was 17 when he died, soo he (as Kurogiri) is 32, which makes sense, considering that he was in the same year as Eraserhead, who is 31 now.
SO if we say that Eri can rewind about twenty years (if not more), then who is there to say that she couldn't rewind 15 years??
If that's possible then she can rewind Kurogiri back to... Well, back to who he was before - 17 year old Shirakumo Oboro.
Anyways!! Let me know what you think!
Plus One For All
so guys. can we talk about how there’s somebody chilling out inside of Katsuki’s mind who’s not supposed to be there.

hello there Mister All Might Vestige sir. you should not exist, just FYI. you’re not some Nighteye-type plot hallucination. because if you were, you would not be appearing here as Cloud Might, a version of yourself whom Katsuki has never met and has no frame of reference for. ergo he did not imagine you. ergo you are, in fact, real.
which means Katsuki has One For All.
because that’s the only way he could have a Vestige -- which is indisputably what this is -- inside of him. he has OFA. so. where did he get it. how does he have it. and why is it only making its presence known now.
let’s discuss.
okay so I’m going to try and lay this all out as clearly as possible while also attempting to be as succinct as I can. but knowing me, I’m probably going to wind up sacrificing the latter in pursuit of the former. I’ll do my best though. here goes.
1. Heroes Rising is canon.
which is a fact we’ve recently been reminded of not once, but twice -- first with the appearance of Katsuma and Mahoro in chapter 405, and then in chapter 406 with the “Bakugou no Kacchan” callback. the timing of this almost certainly isn’t coincidental. Horikoshi wants this to be fresh in our minds.
mind you, it is extremely unusual for movies, even technically!canon ones, to actually be relevant to the plot. but BnHA may be one of the few exceptions. we’ve already seen movie 1 impact the series both with Star & Stripe’s backstory, and with Deku’s new gauntlets. so there’s precedent, and it’s something I am paying very close attention to.
2. Deku giving OFA to Bakugou is canon.
just in case anyone here hasn’t yet seen or been spoiled for Heroes Rising, that is in fact what happens in that film! so yeah, that certainly seems like an extremely relevant detail right about now.
3. we never found out why and how Deku got OFA back at the end of the movie.
okay so I was looking for a clip to link before we discuss this next part, but I unfortunately couldn’t find one that hadn’t been edited to avoid copyright issues, so you’ll just have to make do with this.
skip ahead to about 7:10 for the relevant part. for the purposes of this theory, we’re just going to ignore everything All Might says here, because tbh he has no fucking clue what’s actually going on and is just guessing wildly lol. however, I do want you to take note of one thing which will be important later. and that’s the fact that, when OFA “returns” to Deku’s body, it’s only his body which starts glowing, and notably not Kacchan’s. the latter just keeps lying there unglowingly. nothing to indicate any kind of transfer is actually happening between him and Deku, in other words.
moving on.
4. OFA and AFO are probably the same quirk.
as summarized here and here. which is relevant because if they are the same quirk, or close to it, then OFA can most likely do anything AFO can do. so file that away for later.
5. AFO was able to split his quirk and give it to Tomura while still keeping a piece of it for himself.
what’s more, he was able to do the same with Garaki/Ujiko’s quirk, and presumably other quirks as well. while it’s possible that this quirk duplication has nothing to do with AFO and is simply something Garaki was able to figure out using ~*~Science~*~, I think it’s more likely that the two of them used AFO’s quirk in some way to accomplish this feat. particularly since Tomura not only received AFO, but a bunch of its stored up quirkdata as well, such as the information stored in Ragdoll’s stolen Search quirk.
6. OFA responds to Deku’s feelings and desires.
or at least this is the case according to Banjou in chapter 213. recall this interesting conversation on how Deku first activated Blackwhip.

he was thinking that he wanted to capture Monoma, and so OFA obediently activated his “capture Monoma” quirk. despite him being unaware he even had said quirk. it responded to his need, even though he wasn’t consciously trying to activate anything.
now then, let’s revisit that scene in Heroes Rising one more time.
7. during the climax of Heroes Rising, Deku was NOT thinking, “I need to give OFA to Kacchan.”
here’s the scene one more time for reference. this time you’re gonna want to skip to about 3:57.
here’s where we are going to get extremely technical, because this scene right here is the key to everything. Deku’s lines in this scene are, and I quote: “a way we can protect [everyone]... there’s just one way...!” but he very notably does not specify exactly what that “one way” is.
until we get to this scene a minute or so later, which spells it out for us very clearly.

two One For Alls. as in, “with two One For Alls, we could win this battle and save everyone.”
that’s what he was thinking at the moment of the “transfer.” NOT, “give OFA to Kacchan.” but, “we need two One For Alls.”
which, I think, may have made all the difference.
8. OFA created a copy of itself to share with Kacchan, so that both of them could have OFA and use the two OFAs to defeat Nine.
let’s recap. OFA is AFO. AFO can clone itself. so it stands to reason that OFA can presumably clone itself as well. and that’s exactly what Deku wanted to do. make a second One For All.
he didn’t know that he could do that. but as previously established in the Blackwhip incident, OFA is more than capable of making its own executive decisions in key moments just like this in order to help him out.
which would mean that what we saw at the end of Heroes Rising was not OFA being transferred from Bakugou back over to Deku. it was actually just Deku’s OFA briefly self-activating (possibly in response to his delirious apology to All Might -- kind of a “no worries bro, you’ve still got your quirk actually, so go back to sleep and stop stressing over it” type of thing). and Kacchan’s OFA doing... absolutely nothing. it didn’t actually transfer back into Deku. it didn’t actually go anywhere.
let me repeat that: it didn’t actually go anywhere.
in other words, Kacchan still has OFA. and has had it ever since Heroes Rising. he just didn’t realize it. and neither did anybody else.
9. Kacchan’s OFA went dormant once Nine was defeated.
okay, so. remember all of this exposition from chapter 304?

basically, if someone who already has a quirk receives OFA, using it will slowly destroy their body until it kills them. the Vestiges learned this from All Might while he was researching the past generations of OFA in chapter 241, incidentally. Heroes Rising takes place right around this same time (immediately following MVA if I recall). so by the time the film’s climax rolled around, the Vestiges would have known that giving OFA to Kacchan could have devastating consequences down the line if they did not take action immediately after the fight.
so they did.
once Nine was defeated, the Vestiges shut the whole thing down. the crisis was averted, and they no longer had need of a second OFA. they have this boy who is way too similar to Deku in terms of his willingness to put himself in harm’s way in order to achieve his goals. and they absolutely do not want any harm befalling this boy. more on that momentarily.
so they go dark. and they even seal his memory so that he’s no longer aware of even having the quirk. they are essentially in sleep mode. and if circumstances hadn’t eventually become desperate enough to force their hand, they might have remained inactive for the rest of Katsuki’s life.
now, you might be wondering to yourself, “why is OFA willing to go to such unusual lengths in order to protect Katsuki?” and well, the answer to that is pretty simple.
10. Kacchan does not have the same version of OFA as Deku.
Deku is ninth gen. Katsuki, however, is tenth gen. which means that his version of OFA has one additional Vestige. a Vestige whose presence immediately explains why OFA is so goddamn determined to protect him at all costs.

:’)
long story short, while Deku’s version of OFA has proven itself all too willing to enable him in his increasingly suicidal mission, Katsuki’s version of OFA is very much a different story, on account of it being under the management of what I’m guessing is the most willful Vestige ever to exist. and said management being just the slightest bit unhinged when it comes to Katsuki’s safety in particular. seriously, you can’t tell me this is not exactly how a Deku!Vestige would behave. “oh hell no. no OFA for you!! and no memories either, because you can’t be trusted, goddammit. we never should have done this. what the hell were we thinking. if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.”
so yeah. dormant.
right up until they literally couldn’t afford to be anymore.
11. OFA can self-activate in moments of crisis to protect its user.
Sports Festival. chapter 33. Deku vs. Shinsou.

aw yeah. it’s all coming together.
12. OFA reactivated itself in order to save Katsuki’s life.
I would now like to briefly draw your attention to this scene from chapter 405, in which Edgeshot explains how Katsuki was finally saved. please note my man is very clear that he did not restart Katsuki’s heart himself. he was basically just performing quirk CPR up until Katsuki’s own quirk returned him to life apropros of nothing.

“what brought you back... was the power you’ve honed.”
except... that should have been impossible. because Katsuki was dead. meaning he should not have been able to activate his quirk on his own, on account of the whole “being dead” thing.
however, if he by chance had a quirk with just enough of a mind of its own to activate in critical situations in order to help its user. situations like being forced under mind control. or, perhaps, being stabbed through the heart. well then. that would certainly go a long way towards explaining all of this.
and oh hey, when exactly was it that we saw this guy, again?

oh? it happened at the exact moment when his heart was stabbed through? you don’t say. well that certainly is interesting.
in summary:
Deku cloned his quirk in Heroes Rising and gave Kacchan a copy of OFA. owing to the hyperprotective Deku!Vestige inside Kacchan’s copy of OFA, it shut itself down once Nine was defeated, and all of Katsuki’s memories of having OFA were deliberately wiped, or sealed away. OFA itself remained inactive until TomurAFO stabbed Katsuki through the heart, at which point OFA was forced to reactivate itself to save his life. which it did, by forcibly restarting his heart.
that’s it. no idea how close to the money any of this is, but I think it would explain most of the lingering mysteries and questions about what exactly is going on with Katsuki. and I’ll throw in one last observation as well -- Katsuki has a nine in his name (BaKUgou), but not a ten. which I know sort of contradicts what I was saying earlier about him being the tenth gen, lol. but he both is and isn’t. if Deku split his quirk, Kacchan would in theory receive everything that’s currently in Deku’s quirk right now, and that includes Deku’s own power that he’s been adding to the mix. so he’d still have the Deku!Vestige. but he’s also still ninth gen, because he and Deku are sharing that distinction now. or at least I think the argument could be made at any rate.
so yeah. I’ve been obsessing over all of this for the past few days lol. what do you guys think?
One For All
What if the DNA of the OFA really mix with the user, so that when they have children, they can have something similiar to the past users. Like, the first one really looks like Tomura, even though he’s just related to Nana.
BNHA Chapter 193
I was just thinking about the possibility of the damage to Midoriya's room being electrical burns from his full cowling
BNHA MANGA SPOILERS
What if the battle that’s happening right now is deku’s story of “how I became the world’s greatest hero.”
Because if it is, I will cry, but that’s besides the point.
When Deku says this line and it shows him (I’m referring to the scene in the anime) he still has the exact same costume the same shoes and he still looks really young.
And I’m pretty sure where the fight is happening (the main league/liberation hideout) is in a forested area on a mountain. And guess where the scene of Deku’s speech is? ON A MOUNTAIN IN A FORESTED AREA!!!
So what if this he’s going to die during this fight??
Either, he dies, and Bakugou becomes the number one hero in his honour (which I hope not)
Or, he wins and gets really badly hurt while getting complete control over his quirk (and maybe saves Shigaraki and dabi)
It’s one or the other in my opinion 😪
I don’t think I have enough evidence to back this up, but it’s interesting and it keeps me awake at night. So,

I fell down the All For One is Deku’ s dad theory hole and I can’t get out. I blame fan theory vids and Conversations with a Cryptid (really good fic yo).
Thus, I had a sudden violent urge to make a Star Wars comic of the theory.

F#ck U & everyone that says bull!
tetsu & kiri have to be fraternal twins!
They share the same birthday October 16, characteristics, mentality, himbo, gym rats.. I say this in me most positive way, because Ei is my face bnha character.
And we've all seen how they are, they have the same fighting style and obviously they've never fought together before this scene so how are their moves almost identical?
Twins, they have to be fraternal twins. I don't know if we've ever been introduced to tetsu's family, and as far as I know kiri has a sister. But tattoo's eyebrows don't match his hair, which leads me to believe he dies his hair, so it could realistically be any color but his eyebrows are blonde with a black streak so it leads me to believe he's got black in his hair..
(I didn't think this theory out as much as I have the previous ones so if you have any comments or add-ons feel free but don't be a dick because I give back as good as I get... I'm not sure if that sounded like I was hitting on you or just being a dick but sorry in advance.)
Mineta's Only Purpose
Everyone knows Mineta is a useless grape head whose only purpose is to sexually harrass girls. He has almost no redeemable characteristics and his character isn't even aesthetically pleasing. Overall he's a failure of a character who the whole fandom despises.
Now, the creator of BNHA, Horikoshi, has made dozens of loveable characters who interact well together. It wouldn't be so hard to remove Mineta or make his character more understandable and relatable, because they've taken the time to do that with tons of characters. Giving him a decent backstory and making him redeemable could have happened, if that is what they wanted.
But it's not.
Mineta is purposely made to be irredeemable. He's made to be hateable. Why? Because if the whole fandom hates Mineta the most than it saves other characters from being scrutinized or written off as bad (especially if they've yet to have their redemption arcs). Because, "Oh, Kaminari is a perv, but not as bad as Mineta" will allow people to appreciate characters they'd otherwise write off as their least favourite.
We can all agree that Mineta sucks, (and hell, the story would probably be better without him) but he's still something that brings the fandom together. A character we can all collectively hate because he has no redeeming qualities. At the very least, BNHA fans know they can always find common ground on hating Mineta.

Why I think Dad for One is canon (A long-ass essay)
Just putting my two cents on this theory. I saw someone recently post an analysis and a bunch of proof, and I thought some things were missing/not clear. Just wanted to voice my thoughts before this theory is confirmed or denied.
=======================================
Just a warning: I found most of these points while doing research, so some of them are a bit repetitive and not my original ideas; I just wanted to put all the proof in one place. Also spoilers ahead obviously.
=======================================
Part 1: Who is Hisashi Midoriya
· Inko’s husband
· Father of Izuku
· Has a fire breathing quirk
· Took a work post abroad
That’s literally all we know about him. He is only mentioned in the series once (Chapter/Episode 1), when Inko visits a pediatrician who asks about him, which is how we found out about his fire quirk.
The name “Hisashi” comes from the Japanese phrase “Hisashiburi”, meaning a long time (since the last time) or first in a long time. This could insinuate it’s been a long time since he has seen his family; or, since we know All for One is 150+ years old, the phrase could insinuate he’s been alive for a long time.
I also want to point out the Kanji in this name. Horikoshi likes to sneak in easter eggs or certain hints in the names of the BNHA characters. This is what I found:
The kanji used to write the name “Hisashi”:
· 久: “long time”
· 永: “eternal”
· 尚: “still”
· 彌: “complete”
· 長: “long”
· 寿: “life”
· 昶: “long day”
It clearly emphasizes the “Long time” part.
I want to point out another aspect in his name, the “Midoriya” part.
There could be 2 possibilities:
1. Either All for One made up this last name
2. “Midoriya” is actually Inko’s maiden name she gave him and Izuku
Now I see a lot of people saying it’s common for Japanese men to take their wives last names’, but I don’t see anyone posting proof (from the series) about this. We don’t know how common this is in the BNHA universe; until I came across this:

So we now know this is a common practice in the BNHA universe. It doesn’t seem far fetched that All for One wanted to forget about his past/past family and have a new family. I think him taking the “Midoriya” from Inko was like a new beginning for him. He didn’t want to associate his new family with his criminal activities or his past.
Part 2: The Quirk
Hisashi Midoriya has been confirmed to have a fire breathing quirk.
Now why fire breathing?
I guess its simple and wouldn’t cause too much trouble. He didn’t want anything flashy in case it attracted unwanted attention.
All for One has AT LEAST one fire-based quirk. We see proof of this throughout the series.

In both photos, AFO is using a fire quirk. So we can now confirm he has at least 2.
Bonus point: Notice how AFO never specifically uses fire breathing. This is because he would damage his oxygen mask and respiratory support. He can’t use this quirk. How ironic and well timed is that?
Part 3: His “work” abroad
I heard many people say they think Hisashi works in America, which I think is highly likely.

We know AFO has been overseas. Especially America. In the manga panel above, is an image of the Chrysler Building in New York. Different angles but its clearly the same building. AFO could be sending letters, payments, packages to the Midoriyas from New York; to make it look like he was working a normal job in the US.
Part 4: Izuku and genetics
1. I want to point out Izuku looks more like his mother then father. We know this because he gets most of his colors and features from his mother. This isn’t really surprising, as we see other main characters, like Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo who get most physical features from their mother. Denki and Jiro are other examples.
2. Izuku does indeed have some resemblance to All for One. Not just in one panel, but SEVERAL. Here are just a few examples:

I don’t see any other person in the same poses as Izuku and AFO. Coincidence? Also, a young AFO bears very strong resemblance to Izuku. I honestly think he cut his hair shorter as he got older.
3. The x-ray: Let’s assume the x-ray the doctor shows in episode 1 is real. As generations pass and evolve, the extra joint in the pinky toe disappears. It appears to be unnecessary. Let’s assume both Hisashi and Inko are forth generation users. They both would not have this feature. How is it possible that Izuku inherits it? AFO is a first-generation quirk user, it is 100% certain he has this extra joint, therefore passing it onto Izuku.
4. All for One is very likely to have a quirkless child. More then 80% chance. Quirks back in his time were extremely rare. I know there are many other quirkless people (Melissa, Aoyama, Jiro’s father), but its very rare and unlikely. The quirk gene should be dominant. You see most of the older generation having more quirkless individuals then the new generation. There is a 20% quirkless population worldwide. Don’t forget that Dr. Ujiko runs several orphanages and hospitals worldwide. There is a chance he helped AFO steal quirks from children or even babies, later making them think they are quirkless, increasing the quirkless population.
5. Izuku is very plain looking. In chapter 363, we see AFO’s true face. According to BNHA logic and even a lot of fans, he looks very plain, any ordinary guy you might see at a Home Depo on a Sunday. In a world where quirks make a person unique, this is a bit surprising. You see every character has a unique feature connected to their quirk. Both Izuku and AFO are just plain looking characters.
6. Ever notice how much Izuku gets injured when using OFA? More then he should? Maybe its because his body isn’t evolved enough to be able to handle such evolved quirks (Quirk singularity). If this is true, Izuku being a first-generation user makes sense. AFO’s body cannot handle how strong quirks have gotten, which is why he used Tomura Shigaraki as a vessel. Izuku must have the same body type.
7. Usually, people who use more then one quirk become brain-dead monsters. That’s why Nomu exist. Izuku has like, what, 7 quirks now from the previous users? How does his body handle all these quirks?
8. Parallel to Yoichi Shigaraki: Yoichi (AFO’s brother) and Izuku are very similar. They both have a strong sense of justice, strong willpower, both love/want to be heroes, and both are OFA users who were previously quirkless. The series started with AFO and his family and will end with AFO and his family. Family is clearly an important theme, otherwise why give AFO a brother he loves? As Izuku looks like AFO, Tomura looks like Yoichi. Izuku and Shigaraki mirror AFO and his brother.
Part 5: The doctor
These two are the same people. You cannot tell me otherwise.

He goes by many names, so lets just call him Dr. Ujiko. Dr. Ujiko was Izuku’s pediatrician, and the one who diagnosed Izuku quirkless. He is also AFO’s doctor and partner in crime. Now, why take Izuku to this specific doctor? That is a very odd coincidence. According to his wiki page, Dr. Ujiko is famous in the area for being the head of several hospitals and owning several orphanages. Meaning he is an important man. Clearly, many people would want to take their children to him.

We see in chapter 301 Endeavor and his wife visit Dr. Ujiko. We know this because they are in the same building Inko and Izuku were in. Endeavor is an important hero and has a lot of influence, of course because he was desperate for a perfect child, he would only go to the best doctor.
Inko does not seem to have any influence or important backgrounds, how did she get an appointment with such an important man, who is well renowned and has celebrity heroes as his patients?
Hisashi Midoriya of course. He would have enough influence and know the doctor well enough to convince him to diagnose his son. AFO must have told the doctor about his wife and his child, and out of curiosity decided to take Izuku in as a patient. Maybe even agreed and conspired with AFO about the diagnosis.
Bonus point: I notice how Dr. Ujiko asks “What is your husbands quirk?” in the anime and some translations of the manga. A lot of fans say if he knew AFO was Hisashi, why would he ask such a question? AFO has many quirks, he likely does not know what quirk AFO told Inko he had.
Part 6: Parallels with Tomura Shigaraki
It has been confirmed that AFO and Tomura are a dark parallel to All Might and Izuku. Izuku was taken under All Might’s wing, a hero. Tomura was taken by AFO, a villain.
Wouldn’t it make sense, if Tomura’s ancestor was a hero, and Izuku’s ancestor a villain?
I heard a theorist say: “Tomura descends from a hero, while Izuku descends from a villain.”
Its literally a perfect parallel.
Part 7: AFO vs Izuku
There is almost NO direct interaction between Izuku and All for One.
Back to Kamino, when AFO revealed himself a few minutes before All Might appeared.
All for One KNEW Izuku and his friends were behind that wall. Because his stole Ragdolls quirk: Search.
“Search allows the user to monitor and observe up to a hundred people at a time. This includes knowing their locations and weak points. The individuals being observed are visualized through the Quirk as star-like vestiges and can allow the user to know their location up to even miles away. Search also permanently stores the information gained after its usage”
Why not attack Izuku or kill him and his friends when he had the chance? He has had so many opportunities. He killed all other previous users of OFA, why is Izuku an exception? Especially when, unlike All Might, it’s so easy for someone like AFO to kill Izuku because he has no control over OFA and not on pro-level yet.

When AFO is later arrested, All Might asks if AFO wants to kill Izuku. AFO laughs and doesn’t confirm it. All Might made up that theory himself. AFO’s demeanor changes; it’s like AFO avoids talking about Izuku. For someone who is is very chatty, All for One is awfully quiet here.

Bonus point: One thing I really can’t understand is why AFO talks shit about Izuku in the manga later (Chapter 287 specifically). Calling him “Worthless”, “Weak”, “Unworthy of the power”. He literally makes fun of him in the OFA world. Not something a father would do. However, what if he was just trying to break his spirit? Maybe destroy his self-worth in order to take him in and manipulate him into hating heroes? (lmao poor Izuku his dad is literally talking shit about him. Dad of the year y’all)

Part 8: The Horikoshi interview
In 2018, when asked when Izuku Midoriya’s father will make an appearance, Horikoshi said this: “Deku’s father will be revealed in the future,”
Key word: Revealed
He said REVEALED not introduced.

Meaning we have seen his father; we just don’t know it yet because it hasn’t been revealed.
I believe Horikoshi is a smart man; he clearly thinks before he speaks, and he has been definitely PR trained. Was this a hint? Foreshadowing?
Part 9: Fucking Star Wars
The most common annoying-ass argument that people bring up when it comes to this theory.
In all honesty, its just very cliché and repetitive. I think that’s why BNHA fans are against this theory. Horikoshi would just be plagiarizing Stars Wars at this point.
I also heard arguments like “We already have a Star Wars reveal, the whole Dabi saga and Tomura is Nana’s grandson”.
I think Horikoshi might pull the “I am your father” card as a final homage to the famous franchise. He had taken so many names and ideas from the franchise what will stop his from doing this?
Here are just A FEW examples of him using Star Wars for BNHA (I found these on the internet since I know nothing about Star Wars) :
· Tatooine Station. A story has to start somewhere.
· Hosu, Tokyo. A harsh place in both stories.
· Wookiees. The furriest shopping mall ever!
· Kamino. Makin’ copies!
· All for One. Darth Vader doppelganger.
· Mustafu: Named for Mustafar, the site of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s last battle.
Its so blatantly obvious the man doesn’t even try to hide it. Literally took the same names. Did the Star Wars creator not sue him for copyright?
Also Parallels to the characters:
· Deku is Luke
· All might is Obi-Wan
· Gran Torino is Yoda
Star Wars story in a nutshell: A teacher figure (All Might), takes in a nobody (Deku) to fight evil, and turns out the evil is his father (AFO).
Horikoshi has taken so much from Star Wars, why would it be surprising that he pulls this? We have had so many plot twists, surprises, and reveals throughout the story. Why wouldn’t he add more shock factor?
Part 10: Extra easter eggs and theories
1. All for One’s prison number is 1541. The 41 stands for “For One”. What about the 15?

2. Tomura and Izuku have similar red shoes. As a child and young adult, AFO gave Tomura the red shoes when he was found under the bridge; could he have bought Izuku the same/similar shoes from the same brand? Maybe an American brand?

3. In episode 76, when Deku fights against Overhaul, AFO’s theme plays.
4. There is never any mention of Hisashi Midoriya after chapter/episode 1. Why? Whenever Izuku is in danger/on the verge of a tragedy, he calls for ‘Mom’ and ‘All Might’. Are Hisashi and Izuku not close? Wouldn’t a father overseas call his son or have a relationship with him? (As a university student who’s father has been working overseas for 5+ years I would know) Izuku doesn’t even acknowledge his father, not even in his thoughts. Hisashi has never once visited his family. Is this because of AFO’s injury he can’t see his son or wife?
5. It makes no sense to introduce a new character so late. As of writing this, we are in the final war arc (chapter 364).
6. “Wouldn’t Izuku recognize his fathers voice?” I think this is because Izuku was so young when his father left that he does not remember. Also, AFO uses a breathing mask. His voice is very strained especially after All Might left him disabled; he might have damaged his speech or vocal cords.
7. Izuku is the only one who was able to talk to the vestiges of the previous OFA users.
8. I heard a lot of people say “I doubt AFO would want to conceive a child”. How do you y’all know that? We don’t know what his moves are or what he’s thinking. His relationship with Inko and Izuku is either a loving one or an experiment. Who’s to say he doesn’t have other children out there? As long as he’s a man it’s possible. We don’t even know who he is, just that he wants to commit evil. That’s literally his personality.
9. If Hisashi is clearly an absent figure, why even mention him? Why not say he died or divorced Inko if he’s not that relevant? Unless he’s important in the story later?
10. The fascination with quirks. I have yet to see anyone other than Izuku mumble and be so fascinated with quirks. Oh wait-

11. A conveniently ironic tale indeed.
