WoW! I know how hard it can be when things get stacked up and you’re in a bad mood. But you should never loose your cool w a follower, especially when you solicit asks. At that point you become responsible to your followers to follow through. And if you can’t follow through, which happens, then, at all costs, be polite, caring and understanding. These peple got you where you are and they look up to you or at least they look to you for advice and, again, that’s a self impose responsibility. And, anon, what’s w being anon here? A little innapropriate, isn’t it? :-) ~ Trabue Gentry
You do not have 150 asks in. If you do then at least answer them
You know what anon
you caught me in a horrible fucking mood so lets just do this.
This is my fucking ask box with 179 questions so do not ever tell me what i do or do not have in my ask box have i made that clear?
As for the second part of this ask let me make this perfectly visible for you I care about all of you and yes i love helping with your problems or things that you think you need advice on but i am a parent, I have a job, I have Schooling to do i cannot constantly be on this damn blog.
So really answering 179 questions might seem really easy to you but i like to take my time actually think about what someone is asking me when they ask me for advice not just write down the first shitty piece of advice that i can think of and if that’s really all you think this blog does then you’re insane. I answer them as i can and yes sometimes i may not be able to help you all with your problems and i don’t answer but that’s because they bother me too because i want to be able to find something that will help you and i fucking can’t.
So do not ever tell me what i have to do or should at least do on MY blog. I’m still a person not an automated robot that can just do this all the time.
On the surface, 100%, this makes sense. At the same time, it really pisses me off. I think the issue I have with this is that it's one of those statements that at face value is true, but it completely disregards the life experiences of people with autism and ADHD. I was really into goosebumps book, I think in grade 4, but I read at an advanced level, and I recall well meaning people trying to get me to read more advanced books. The books I was reading weren't "good enough" for someone with my abilities, and no one understood that if I didn't enjoy it, I could not get through it. This repeated in grade 6 with Babysitters Club, grade 7 with Nancy Drew, grade 8 with Lurlene McDaniel, and then I moved onto romance. Romance books are trash I was told, and in grade 9 when I moved on to Star Trek novels, they weren't "real" books. Then it wasn't good enough later on when I read Da Vinci code, pop trash really. A few years ago, my reading through urban fantasy was a "little immature" because they were fantasy. More recently, I was told listening to audiobooks isn't really reading, and I should actually read books. It doesn't matter that between work, chores, etc. that my main "free" time is in the car. I read fanfiction at night, and I do watch kids shows, but I don't talk about them because I have learned this will result in what was said by OP. I have spent a lifetime reading, and yes I have read classics, Shakespeare, Little Women, Pride and Prejudice. I have read thousands of books including non-fiction, but every step of the way I have had people from the side line giving their unsolicited opinions that what I am reading is "not good enough" "not right" and then framing it as "just saying" or "for my own good" but really, shove off. You have no idea how informed I am, or what else you aren't seeing me read, watch, or experience, and while the initial comment wasn't ableist, that follow up was tone deaf AF. Nobody tells a NT man that he shouldn't limit his interests to sports, because that is a socially acceptable limitation. Limiting exposure is only an issue when the thing you are limiting to is not in fashion for your age, gender, and country. I for one am sick of being told that no matter how many new things I read, watch, or experience, that I am never quite hitting that target, and always need to be trying more. Sometimes I just need a damn break, and to rewatch that show for the ninth time. So no, saying that people should read things other than fanfiction and kids shows isn't ableist, but when you give unsolicited opinions to people who have have spent their entire lives being criticized for every book they read, show they watch, food they eat, and move they make, then you shouldn't be surprised when those people are upset by yet another well meaning person who is only seeing the tip of the iceberg.
i promise its not ableist when people say you should try things that arent kids shows and fanfiction
i kind of want to yap about marvel rq.
aou ; i absolutely love this movie. one of, if not, my favourite marvel movie. (civil war is close bc my memory of it is watching it w my childhood friend) anyways, there are some issues with the movie. for example, pietro’s death was the biggest issue of the movie imo and thats what i will focus on.
for introductions, hai, im cas, a huge marvel fan and have been since ‘15. aou or avengers age of ultron is a marvel film and is the second avengers movie, but is the 9th (technically 11th), installment of marvel. *not including the incredible hulk. (9th excluding gotg)
to give a quick summary ; “when tony stark (rdj) jump-stars a dormant peace-keeping program, things go terribly awry, forcing him, thor (chris hemsworth), the incredible hulk (mark ruffalo), and the rest of the avengers to assemble. as the fate of earth hangs in the balance, the team is put to the ultimate test as they battle ultron, a technological terror hell-bent on human extinction. along the way, they encounter two mysterious and powerful newcomers, pietro and wanda maximoff.” (directly quoted from the about section of movie)
so, basically, the movie is about stopping ultron to put it simply, however, along the way, the two twins wanda and pietro maximoff soon join in to help bc they disagree w ultron’s idea of human extinction as they only wanted to end the avengers. however, pietro soon dies to save clint barton (hawkeye) while ultron was shooting at them from the avenger’s quinjet.
“why is this an issue?”
“a character died, so what?”
let me just say that, pietro has super speed. and if he has that, shouldn’t he be able to dodge bullets? (he quite literally DID in the comics, saving BOTH clint AND wanda) so this just doesn’t make sense ??
another issue is that his death was random? although, yes, there WAS foreshadowing, it still.. js didn’t make sense? in a deleted scene where thor was possessed, he stated that, in order to end ultron there needed to be “human sacrifice”. that would add a lot more to his death and make it have some meaning.
and finally, no one fucking acknowledges it in the movies? the one who does is fucking CLINT? NOT WANDA, his OWN twin sister. nah, she dgaf anymore. clint names his son after pietro, “nathaniel pietro barton” and he later on helps / protects wanda bc her brother saved clint’s life. however, wanda NEVER fucking mentions him again and it’s so?? what the fuck??
in conclusion, pietro should NOT have died. thank you 4 coming to my ted talk.
Artist Problems
Having a ton of ideas for things you want to make but not being able to use any of them.
Because:
- You don’t have time to make them because of school, work, personal problems or other stuff.
- You forgot to write it down and now it’s lost in void of your thoughts (probably) forever.
- Either you have no motivation enough to make it. Or you realise it won’t ever come out the way you had in mind because your not at the skill level needed for the making that kind of piece.
- You have an artblock or procrastinate for any other possible reason whatsoever.
- You get demotivated because someone already made something similar looking and you’re under the assumption they’re way better anyway.
- People critisize your ideas to the point where you don’t even believe in them anymore.
- You get distracted by social media, tv, events or other stuff.
- Your ideas include way to much work to do all alone. But you don’t know not enough people who would possibly want to help you create even one idea without getting payed.
- Someone steals your ideas and keeps using them without permission.
- You started a project but the people who you worked with you on it throw you out of the group, mistreat you or leave the project themselves.
- You get sick, injured or don’t feel good for another reason. And are practicly unable to work.
- Your art teacher laughs at your ideas and way of making them.
- Your inspiration runs out and you get stuck.
