CX-2 - Tumblr Posts
Personalmente, pensé que Tech era CX-2 por mis propios motivos.
Tech was going to be the CX-2 but they changed it in the end.
✅️ Apareció en los primeros capítulos observando Crosshair.
✅️ He was more skilled than the previous X clones.
✅️ He didn't obey orders and didn't seem to like the Regs.
✅️"Domicile" ...
✅️ They did a lot of scene parallels with Tech.
✅️ Phee mentioned his name at every turn and their relationship remained unfinished.
✅️ He seemed to resent Crosshair for his actions and mentions him telling him that he "chose the wrong side".
✅️ Falling off the waterfall and the sountrack "plan 99" plays in parallel with the sountrack "battle of the snipers".
✅️ He could have burned Pabu, and he didn't.
✅️ His voice was not that of a regular clone.
✅️ He could have killed Wrecker and Hunter with no problem but he didn't.
✅️ era hábil con barcos, armas, tecnología y cifrado. Además de una puntería que rivaliza con Crosshair.
✅️ Cambiaron su altura y lo hicieron más bajo, clasificándolo casi como un clon reg.
I'm sure there were more points, if anyone can mention them I'd appreciate it.
Anyway, I think Michelle Ang (voice of Omega) mentioned in an interview that there were many endings to the series, and Jeniffer Corbett (writer of TBB) is a fan of "Captain America and the Winter Soldier".
I honestly only had Tech and Mayday (yes, he still hasn't gotten over either of their deaths) as candidates and I feel like the season was very rushed.
Although I don't blame the production team because Disney isn't pouring as much money into Lucas Films as they are into Marvel.
No, Tech fans are not delulu. Because those shots couldn't have been a joke. But the ending is done. And our beloved information lover will live on in Omega and in our hearts.

Well if that’s real. That’s definitely NOT Tech.
cx2 reveal this week guys!! (for the 13th week in a row) (with a single tear streaming down my face)
ngl it is kind of hilarious how hard they clowned all of us LMFAOO
we still don't have any proof that it's NOT tech so the delusion lives on
I wish there would be an episode in the Bad batch, like one of the last 3 episodes, where Crosshair finds out that CX-2 is Tech of something
I wish they would make that happen 🥺🥺🥺
I think this fits for the most part

Each of the CX troopers from TBB finale mirrors a member of the Bad Batch.

The one on the far left is clearly the muscle, mirroring Wrecker. The design of the helmet looks similar, as well--the same can be said for the other CX troopers, especially in the "eyes".
The one holding the spear seemed most likely to have been the lead, and his build and helmet "eyes" look the most like Hunter. He was also the one to catch Omega.
The one with the blades looks the most like Crosshair--mostly in how lanky he looks.
CX-2... well, we all know who that is.
The last one--the one with the visor--appeared after the others, just like how Echo was the last to join the Batch. This was also the only CX trooper to have a visor, rather than those "eyes", and the shape of it looks like Echo's helmet. This also reminded me of Echo's macrobinoculars from "Rookies".

i was plotting when i put these two next to each other on my wall fr 😭
During "The Cavalry Has Arrived", Emerie asks Echo, "Is that the rest of your squad?" as Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair are wheeled away by the operatives (the Worst Batch), and as CX-2 walks past.
Familiar chapter one
Fandom: The Bad Batch
Summary: Pabu was eerily familiar to CX-2. Clone Force 99 felt like someone to him. Why they mattered, he couldn't remember.
Notes: Spoilers for the episode Point of No Return
Chapter two: Research of the Past (coming soon)
Why was Pabu so, familiar? That was the only question going through CX-2's head. It felt like he should care about it and its people; like somewhere deep down, he didn't want to be there to hurt someone.
Still, he was there to find the target. A girl named Omega was an m-count target, so he had to take her to Tantus. It shouldn't feel so wrong. Just like fighting Ct-9904 shouldn't have felt like a betrayal to himself.
Seeing the pirate was already so eerily familiar. Being in her presence made him smile and he felt warm. Her sweet but sassy voice, her beautiful hair, they seemed like they meant something to him. Maybe they had.
CX-2' stood on the wall that separated lower and upper Pabu. There, near the water, was the Havoc Marauder. It was the ship that the group of rogue clones flew and from the information that the man had, lived out of. It was a modified Omicron-class attack shuttle. Ct-9902 had made the changes to the ship.
Maybe there was a reason CX-2 hesitated to shoot the ship. By the ramp, Ct-9903 stood. The man had been named Wrecker, which fit him well. There was something unsettling about the thought of him blowing up, like he had personal feelings about. Maybe that was why he shot the ship's wing where he did.
It was easy to see and it wasn't in his blind spot. Seeing him notice the explosive and grab the power droid and jump away from his home, made blowing the ship up slightly easier. It shouldn't have.
Why was he so reluctant to hurt them? Clone Force 99 were traitors. The Bad Batch had killed imperial soldiers and officers, they had destroyed the empires properly. Killing them, would be good for the galaxy, yet CX-2 hesitated to do so.
So he walked away. Finding Omega was his mission. Destroying the Marauder was to ensure they stayed on the planet. Making the call to be ready to burn the island and its people to the ground, was not one he had wanted to make.
There was a place near the top of the mountain. Maybe, CX-2 thought, I should go up there. Maybe the girl would be there.
The leaves of the tree that stood on the platform swayed. It was a beautiful and proud Weeping Maya Tree. Near the top of the mountain was a communal space. Walking inside, the man looked around for the target. The room was filled with artifacts.
A jade tree sat on a shelf that almost made him smile. Shaking it off, his eyes scanned the shelves and landed on a stuffed Tooka doll and a pair of shattered goggles.
CX-2 took a step back. Then he walked towards the shelf. With much kinder hands than he had been treated with, he picked up the goggles and stared at them. The weight of the glasses in his hands was uncomfortably familiar.
Startled, he laid them back down. Looking at the doll, CX-2's breath started to catch and tears welled in his eyes. The name of the Tooka was on the top of his tongue and he knew it shouldn't be.
When he woke up, Hemlock had told him who he was didn't matter. He had said that he had been an imperial soldier who had amnesia from his last mission. When he asked what his name was, he was told it was CX-2. Something always felt wrong about that.
Removing his helmet, CX-2 placed it beside the googles. Picking up the stuffed toy, he pulled it closer to him. "L-" her name was the only thing he could think about. With his mission long forgotten, he tried to piece the rest of the tooka's name together.
"Lula?"
The room was silent. The lighting was warmer than he had remembered and all the noise of the outside had disappeared. Without the helmet, everything was blurry. However it felt like CX-2 could see clearer than he had remembered.
The reason he hated the thought of hurting Clone Force 99, the reason he knew Lula's name, the reason the pira- liberator of ancient wonders was important to him; he had known them. The people had been something to him at some point in his life. But who were they?
CX-2 needed to know. Still holding Lula, he stood there overwhelmed by his discovery. As his breathing continued to speed up, he sat on the floor. Clutching the doll he tried to think. Where did he go from here?
The man could go back to the empire and complete him mission or he could lie and say that he had made a mistake, leave, and escape come his next assignment. Staying and fighting for the empire meant he would likely never get his answers. However, staying with them also meant he would survive.
Standing, the man set Lula down next to the googles. Clearing the tears from his face, he placed him helmet back on his head and reached from his comm. Then he let his hand fall back to his side. If someone had already found her and he told them she wasn't on the island, he'd be killed for treason.
Finding Omega became his next objective. While that may have already been his mission, now he only intended to keep her safe. Leaving the building, CX-2 sighed. In truth he was scared. He knew what Hemlock could and would do to him if he was caught.
But he needed to know who he was. Learning who these people were to him meant betraying what he knew. Committing an act of treason didn't hurt as much as he thought it would.
Walking though the streets of Pabu, he ordered the flame throwers to be put down. There was no need just yet to burn down the island.
Almost twenty minutes later, CX-2 found the girl. She stood in the middle of the street, ready to give herself up for the safety of the people. Before she got a chance to give herself away, the clone grabbed her and pulled her away from the street. "Shhhh."
Confused Omega was silent.
"You are an adolescent. I am going to inform the others that I was mistaken in identifying you. Stay hidden."
"What?" Was all Omega could think of saying.
"You are a child, I will not subject you to the experiments of Tantiss. You will be safe here once I'm through with my tasks."
Taking the alley, Omega asked "where is it?"
"What?"
"Tantiss. I need to know."
"Where Tantiss is, is of no concern to you. I need you to stay hidden."
Ignoring him, Omega asked again. "I'll walk into the street and give myself up right now. If you really want to keep me safe, you'll tell me."
"One day you will know. Currently, it is safer this way. Accept the opportunity that it being given to you. It is not the time."
"Then when is?"
"When you have a plan."
"I have a plan! I-"
"Is it a good one?"
Omega was silent. "Fine."
"Find a place to hide."
The girl nodded. While she was sceptical of the sleeper agent's intentions, at least Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair wouldn't be so worried.
Walking away, CX-2 reached for his comm. "I had mistaken a similar looking civilian for the girl. The target is not here." He sighed. "Gather your men and be ready to leave."
"Yes sir."
Hoping this risk would pay off, the man pondered what answers The Bad Batch could have for him. Soon, he would have his answer. Maybe while he waited for his next mission, he should do most digging into who these people really are.
CX-2 having such a big grudge against Crosshair is way too funny. I mean CX’s are supposedly stripped of their emotional selves to better fulfill their orders, right? Even with CX-2 ignoring Wolffe, I assume it was because he had an existing order from someone higher than Wolffe and the information to discern whether or not listening would keep from him attaining his goal. HOWEVER—he just takes whatever time out of his day that he can to fuck Crosshair up. Especially on Tantiss. Hemlock wanted them alive, and CX-2 really just wanted to fuck him up anyway. He had no reason to chop that hand off other than because he was bitter. He had already beaten Crosshair, he was just mad about getting his ass kicked earlier.
Pls be aware of spoilers! I know its only been a day but I don't want to spoil anyone if they haven't watched
I'm making a post to rant about the one thing that's been bugging me since the finale (it's been a day, I'm struggling). I was wholeheartedly on the Tech is CX-2 train but hopped off it near the end of the season, I decided to just accept the fact he might be dead. I mean, anything CX-2 does could be attributed to any other clone, like the other assassins are: for example, here is the sword dual welding assassin! He's just a clone, all of the assassins could be like this

There's also the whole CX-2 not following Wolffe's orders, etc etc. They were manipulated and tortured into acting and thinking this way, they're meant to be glorifications of clone squad 99.
But of all the things in season 3. The one little part that keeps me up at night is the Phee scene. It's a 2 minute scene that does not need to be there. You could have CX-2 contacting Hemlock/Scorch whoever after infiltrating her ship. It didn't have to be shown. But it is. And its the one wrench in the train that just completely derails my denials of Tech being CX-2
In my absolute opinion, I think it was best they didn't show his identity. As much as I would have loved to see Tech, it felt right just having CX-2 die and his true identity concealed. Tech sacrificed himself to save the others, it would be messed up to bring him back and kill him again. It would oppose plan 99.
To be clear, the writers will have to work very hard to get me okay with Tech is CX-2.
I’m really here for that second picture. I’m shallow like that.
Major TBB S3 Spoilers: CX-2 Theory
I was inspired by @apocalyp-tech-a to bring some of my lil list from Twitter to Tumblr too. There are so many hints about CX-2’s identity, that, at this point, it will just be cruel if it’s not him haha! Also, I’m bonkers and delusionally looking for any and all signs that Tech lives and that he will be reunited with his family … sheesh— tall order 😳
If you have evidence to the contrary, differing theories, or simply want to tell me how insane and obsessive I'm being, share it here! Also, if anyone thinks CX-2 has been cloned from Tech, please tell me that's possible. CX-2 is savage, and I don't want it to be him... but truly believe it is.
1. When CX-2 lands his ship on Teth, he looks like he's bouncing his heels in anticipation/nerves. ( à la Tech in 1x1 "Aftermath," in the Kamino brig) [3x6 "Infiltration"]

2. When CX-2 moves those boulders to egress the base on Teth, his strained noise of pain/exertion is the same sound in 2x2 "Ruins of War" when Tech tries to move the crate off his leg.

3. Which other Fett clone in the entire galaxy would state "They are both” like this?

4. CX-2 programmed his ship to do ... a Tech Turn (or a variation of it)? It’s noticeable in 3x11 when he’s about to load Omega onto his creepy red light district dagger-ship.

5. Domicile. The man said domicile. Casually and with Tech’s same accent.
To the smutmobile!

fucking him probably wont undue the reconditioning but it cant hurt to try
You don’t have to do this, but I just saw your Crosshair watercolour painting, and I was wondering if you’d do one of Tech/CX2?
Again, just a suggestion, you don’t by any means have to do it

I absolutely wanted to :) it turned out even better than my Crosshair version…! I may need to practice on a few more and then redo Crosshair. Thank you so much for sending a recommendation!
TBB finale spoilers below‼️
Ok…what the flip
Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy that the batch made it out alive and I’m honestly shocked that Dave gave us a happy ending, but I have so many unanswered questions!!
Who was CX-2?? They made a seemingly big deal about him in particular and didn’t even show the others until the finale.
How do Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor get together?
What makes Rex lose hope in fighting against the Empire leading up the Rebels?
What happened to Cody??
What was up with Hemlock’s left hand?
Is Omega force sensitive??

i’m still hoping for a CX-2/tech reveal, if for nothing else than to see this scene play out
Also that thing he did, placing explosives on their ship to create a distraction, is what Hunter did in Episode 1 Season 2

Please forgive me, I'm throwing more ingredients into the CX-2 pot. 😆
We see the operative use explosives (Wrecker), a sniper rifle (Crosshair), a knife (Hunter), and computer gadgets and overall limber acrobatic stealth and intelligence (Tech). One could also say ARC Trooper strategy/possible mechanical limbs (Echo).
Do you think that means anything? Is this operative an amalgamation of all of them? Is Clone Force 99 fighting...themselves? 🤔 Or IF it's Tech, he has just incorporated all of his experience and knowledge to become one single super soldier? Has his DNA been enhanced by Hemlock who surely must have the CF99 genetic material/info leftover from the Kaminoans? What about Omega? She's "part of the squad, too." If we get to a point where CX-2 realizes who he really is and that happens to be Tech - emotion/feeling (Omega).
PS: I know a lot of people associate that knife with Cody, But I think it's more associated with Hunter. *shrug*
As soon as he enters the ship's atmosphere, we are able to see a map of Pabu on his built-in computer screen. A handful of dots appear on the map and CX-2 selects one of them, which happens to be located right where the cavern was. I can only assume that these were discreet landing sites and he chose the most convenient one.
I’m typically not one of the “CX-2 is tech” people who goes through every episode looking for proof, but did anyone else notice that Phee specifically mentions the hidden cavern entrance being the reason she was able to land on Pabu undetected by the empire, meaning it’s by and large a secret about the island (but one that the Bad Batch know about). When CX-2 infiltrated Pabu last week, he also landed his ship in the caverns near the beach. How would he know about the caverns when the empire has never taken interest in Pabu before?
Been wondering this for a while now too. I'm really excited for next week's episode because we don't know what's happening next. Probably more Tantiss content maybe Hunter’s mission with Rampart but ultimately, will CX-2 return? And when will Crosshair finally open up?
I've been thinking about the whole Crosshair and CX-2 situation, and I am beginning to wonder if, should CX-2 prove to be Tech, Crosshair didn't, in fact, know.
In an interview before the premiere, Michelle Ang mentioned Crosshair getting to see forgiveness and real love in the face of a great betrayal. Now, Crosshair's great betrayals are long past. So, is this some NEW betrayal? Is it someone ELSE betraying and being forgiven? CX-Tech fits the later very neatly, however, there might be another option: that Crosshair DOES know CX-2 is Tech, and has been not telling everyone because he blames himself for it happening and is sure they'll all turn him out the second they discover it (Omega included).
I'm of two minds here.
Crosshair didn't know, because Tech was put straight into conversion from medical care, and so Crosshair never saw him.
Crosshair DOES know, and feels black-hole sized guilt about it to the point where he can't bring himself to tell anyone.
In the #2 bucket goes a few things:
We see, repeatedly, that Crosshair isn't saying everything about Tantiss. This is as true for Hunter (the person always mentioning this) as it is for us, as our POV on Tantiss was almost exclusively Omega. Hunter knows Crosshair hasn't told them everything, and isn't going to push him except in specific instances where it really woulda been nice to know.
We do know that the CX conditioning is bad. Like, really bad, bad enough that wiping out your identity--not just the chip but like, you, yourself--is part of it. Or, so Crosshair says (and Tech in S2), though of course the truth of that might be more complex. This is reason enough for him to not talk about things. Except...
When Rex and Howzer explain they have a CX in custody Crosshair is immediately spooked. Then he's even MORE upset when he sees who it is. Or is it because of who it isn't?
If he knew CX-2 was Tech, and sees CX-1, he knows there is only one other CX they're sending after them, and the absolute last thing he would want is for them to have to kill Tech to get away. Or worse, kill the person who used to be Tech and can't be reclaimed (from his POV). Either way, from his POV, it is all bad news that CX-2 is inbound.
And as much as I feel Cross just isn't a hand to hand badass, at the end of his one on one with CX-2, he is clearly giving up. Everything CX-2 is saying is battering him emotionally and dousing the fight in him. Which makes a lot of sense, if he knows it's Tech.
For #1, well, the explanation is much simpler: we, and Omega and Crosshair, never see Tech in CX conditioning because he was in a bacta tank for part of it and then into a pod for the rest. He might have even converted quickly if we're to assume he had amnesia from the fall. (I suspect, should he prove to be CX-2, we won't get an explanation for this.) This actually would give Omega AND Crosshair some severe guilt, realizing when they escaped they left Tech on Tantiss in Hemlock's not-so-stellar care. It makes sense Crosshair would never want to go back--the conditioning sounds pretty awful. But then his reaction to CX-1 is a little less clear; we know there aren't very many CXes at this point, so why is THIS one such a concern to him? He just appears to be a reg. And CX-1's use of 'brother' is also very pointed. Which would make sense if CX-2 is Tech, who would have referred to Crosshair as his brother...
Anyways. We'll see if this pans out. I'd considered this might be the case even as I was like 'are we really doing that', and while I'm not a fan of this plot in the overall, like a cat being dragged outside on a harness for some enrichment I can grudgingly accept it. Mostly.
