So, are we going to ignore the fact that Crosshair clearly knew that CX-2 was Tech, and--since he knew that there was no way of saving/fixing him, he didn't tell the rest of the Batch, and tried killing CX-2, every time he had the chance, frantically telling the others to go and let him handle CX-2, without giving them a chance to protest or follow him?
You have just got to love the fact that Tech "Skywalker'd" Crosshair not once, but TWICE.
Not only did he nearly burn him to a crisp, but he also CUT OFF HIS HAND-
Each of the CX troopers from TBB finale mirrors a member of the Bad Batch.
The one on the far left is clearly the muscle, mirroring Wrecker. The design of the helmet looks similar, as well--the same can be said for the other CX troopers, especially in the "eyes".
The one holding the spear seemed most likely to have been the lead, and his build and helmet "eyes" look the most like Hunter. He was also the one to catch Omega.
The one with the blades looks the most like Crosshair--mostly in how lanky he looks.
CX-2... well, we all know who that is.
The last one--the one with the visor--appeared after the others, just like how Echo was the last to join the Batch. This was also the only CX trooper to have a visor, rather than those "eyes", and the shape of it looks like Echo's helmet. This also reminded me of Echo's macrobinoculars from "Rookies".

During "The Cavalry Has Arrived", Emerie asks Echo, "Is that the rest of your squad?" as Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair are wheeled away by the operatives (the Worst Batch), and as CX-2 walks past.
My mom just sent me this, and I just had to share it here, as well. Tech is CT-9902.

Share a fun fact (or more) or something of the like about your experience watching this show! Do you rewatch this show a lot? Do you always bring your family to watch it with you? Did it take you a long time to catch on to something? It can be anything, really! I’ll go first:
I went into Bad Batch with only somewhat vague knowledge of Clone Wars and Rebels, so there were a few times where I was just sitting there scratching my head and my brother had to answer my questions. Why is Echo part cyborg??? Wait, he was a reg before??? What do you mean???? Is Crosshair always like this or is it just the chip?? Oh, he was always an asshole? Okay, but why is everyone else so surprised by his behavior then? Why would they even like him then? If they were just turning a blind eye to his behavior because it was focused on the regs, doesn’t it make these guys kind of shitty too? Have they never seen a child before??? Do we not like Nala Se? What did she do? Oh okay I recognize Tarkin, we hate him, right? Right. Crosshair is acting really pissy towards his brothers when he just attempted to kill them, like, multiple times. Make up your mind, dude. You can’t have it both ways (yes, by that point my brother had finally convinced me that Crosshair’s behavior was 90% him and only like 10% of the chip).
Also my brother told me that Tech died before I even started season 2.

I couldn't have been the only one praying for them to not take CX's helmet of. If it was any clone we know, it would have destroyed the Batch (and us).
Maybe it was Tech.
Maybe it was Cody.
Maybe it was Soup Clone.
Maybe he really is just any other random, unknown clone.
It remains a mystery, it's up to us to decide.

Let me show you how unnecessary Nemec’s death actually was
Wolffe makes it crystal clear that he is in charge of the operation on Teth. When he realizes that they are dealing with clones he gives Clone Trooper Hilo a clear order.
"Hilo, set blasters to stun and move in."
Wolffe obviously expects CX-2 to do the same but the operative never explicitly acknowledges Wolffe’s command and continues to pursue his own agenda.
Shortly after that CX-2 shoots down the shuttle with Rex and the others, accepting the possibility of their deaths. Wolffe gives him a good telling-off and repeats his order.
“I said to use stun blasts only!”
And still shortly after…
CX-2 was ordered to use stun blasts twice and killed Nemec anyway. There was nothing to be gained with his death, he would have been just as incapacitated with a stun blast. Even worse: since clones don’t leave their brothers behind stunning Nemec would have forced them to slow down because they would have carried their unconscious brother. It was tactically unwise to kill him.
Fireball gave his life to save his brother Nemec. He died as a hero, his death had some meaning. But Nemec was just standing at the wrong place at the wrong time. He made it that far, he could just have hopped into the Remora with the others and continued to be a part of the clone underground, there would have been zero consequences for the storyline of The Bad Batch if CX-2 had missed the shot or set it to stun.
So I really can’t understand why they did this.

The craziest thing about CX2 was how invested I became thinking that he was somebody. I thought he was Tech. I believed so hard that he would be significant because every clone is significant. They all have nicknames, unique modifications, language habits, etc.
But no clone is significant to the Empire.
CX2 had lots of quality screen time and was somehow likable. When he was killed in the finale like nobody, I was so let down! But, it made me realize how brilliant the writing was… Not only was I in denial about Tech and was actively carried through the stages of grieving, but I realized CX2 was the ultimate foil to Crosshair.
I think CX2 represents who Crosshair would have become if he stayed in the Empire, which was a nobody. He would have died insignificantly and nobody in the Empire would have mourned him, just as nobody mourned CX2.
Defective by nature, Crosshair was too unique to be a “nobody.”
