Poem: Daybreak
When we came to an end,
I felt for a while as though
The sun would not rise again;
I stayed up until dawn to see
If this could prove to be true –
But when the sun rose as usual
And my heart sank further,
I realized that I shouldn’t expect
That the day wouldn’t break
When my heart was already broken.

moonlights ;
In a small town I used to call home
I sit on the floor, staring blankly at the window
I once was a person overflowing with words
but nowadays even words can't express my sorrows
I wish the people who are here knew how to be like the moon
being an instrument to light on me, guiding towards the dark path
Instead, in the mornings they hide in the shade when the risen sun lights on us
They conspire and complain when others are being tanned in the sunshine
This is why I prefer moonlights over daylights
Instead of seeing them conspire my days of light
I'd rather set the moonlight on myself so they remain in the dark
with fright.
