Something people on the dream smp know all too well. With the rule of two instead of three after events happen. With Las Navadas being the new l'manburg and Quackity becoming the next Dream being some of the most recent examples of this.

The fandom is filled with people referencing and making predictions based on things that repeat itself, sometimes even going as far back as tales from the smp. But something I don't think anyone pointed out, was that Tommy's exile was history repeating Tubbo's execution.

Hear me out here for a second. Dream takes the place of Schlatt in this instance, with Tubbo replacing technoblade and tommy replacing tubbo. "A person carrying out a terrible deed onto another person because they were pressured into it by a higher power" can technically describe both situations.

Tubbo exiled Tommy under dream's orders because he didn't want to put l'manburg at risk. Technoblade killed tubbo under JSchlatt's orders because he didn't want to put Pogtopia at risk. It's the same situation, but in different fonts.

Sure, people might say being exiled isn't as bad as losing a cannon life, but if you look at what tommy went through, I bet there's an argument out there saying that exile was worse. Even if Tubbo didn't know what he was doing to Tommy, everyone agrees that it's bad to exile people from places without good reason. Tubbo's reason though, was "I was pressured by Dream to keep L'manburg safe." Which is the same as Techno's reason, with just a few more words.

At the end of all this, I just wanted to point it out. I'm no theorist of the dream smp, but I just thought it was interesting. And I also find it interesting that Tommy is willing to forgive tubbo for what he did to him, but not techno. The guy who literally took him in, and gave him a bit of shelter from dream in the last bit of the exile.

"You followed what the government told you to do. That makes you as bad as the government Technoblade." Words from tommyinnit during his talk with techno at doomsday. By the same logic though, would that make tubbo as bad as dream? Obviously, no. Tubbo is not as bad as dream, that's just a stretch. But that just means techno isn't as bad as Jschlatt either.

All the characters are on a gray scale. None are truly black or white, but some of them are darker then others. I just want people to consider this, "coincidence" if you want to call it that, cause I think it's something interesting.

Sorry for the bit of c!tommy slander at the end. He's just not my cup of tea, and I'm definitely more on dream/techno's side, rather then l'manburgs. Anyway, remember your food, water and meds, and have a great day!

people keep saying that techno forcing dream to take his armor off and kicking him out of the anarchist commune is hypocritical and its sent me off the rails multiple times.

techno and dream were NEVER FRIENDS. dream never did something to instigate an act of repayment of kindness by techno, everything he ever did for techno he held over his head and demanded a favor off of him with. saving carl and him from the execution? yeah, thats what PROMPTED the entire favor plotline from the beginning. it wasnt an act of kindness because dream wanted a favor out of it too. it was manipulative and coercive, and techno KNEW this.

during doomsday, he only allied with dream because they shared a common goal and dream was someone techno trusted enough IN THE MOMENT 1. because of the favor 2. because it was a common goal 3. because techno and dream had a similar disdain for the same thing by proxy (techno for lmanburg and dream for tommy), they didnt do it because they were very good pals who hate government, they were just temporary allies to achieve a common goal prompted by personal reasons.

in the will, he didnt even really state he cared for dream, he just went to see if hes alright, cuz that could be detrimental to breaking him out. besides, when he was trapped in the prison with dream, he didnt do anything other than calm dream down enough to the point where he could extract info out of him. never at that point were they friends, and techno never pretended it was this way, and neither did dream.

technos plans for breaking dream out were INDEFINITE, it was only instigated when he saw RANBOO being arrested that got him to enact the plans stat. plus, dream wouldve been a valuable ally inside the prison, being one of the strongest men of the smp. its another thing that he didnt know the mutual hatred between ranboo and dream, but the fact that he was more concerned for ranboo shows as well that techno WASNT friends with dream, he was just doing his part of the favor.

techno never PROMISED he was gonna give dream armor and shelter. why would he need to? dream is one of the strongest people in the smp and techno knows this and dream knows techno knows this. why would the strongest man in the smp only have one set of netherite armor that he lost when he was arrested? that wouldnt make him the strongest man. by assuming dream needed the netherite, techno would effectively be babying dream and spoon-feeding someone he didnt want to spoon-feed. dream is strong. he just lacked the gear and escape plan in the moment because he was caught off guard when he was arrested. i guarantee that if dream was better prepared for a happenstance he couldnt have predicted, then the favor would still be over technos head right now. technos plan involved dream having adequate gear to fend off potential danger, it wasnt a wellness gift from techno to dream, it was a requirement for the escape to go as planned. it was necessary, but it wasnt a gift. as far as we and techno is concerned, any sort of gentle approach imploded when dream showed zero care for ranboo. (not saying dream is wrong for this, they both had their reasons in their moment. just saying that it went against what techno wanted for his friend.) ranboo was more of a priority in technos head cuz they were FRIENDS, dream was just a valuable ally and someone who he owed a favor to, a favor he would repay by also breaking him out.

they were never friends between all this, and i highly doubt theyre friends now. theyre just reluctant allies kept together by a shoddy “favor” that they constantly need to repay each other.

its completely in-character for techno to keep this up as well. people take technos words completely literally in the speech. when he said his little monologue about “repaying kindnesss tenfold and repaying injustice a thousand times over”, it is literally a “an eye for an eye” thing. sure, you can take it literally, but taking it SO literally is a mischaracterization. techno repaid a favor, so dream has to do the same now too. dream was never kind, so techno doesnt have to repay the kindness tenfold. he never treated him with injustice, so he doesnt have to repay that injustice a thousand times over. he owed him a favor, so dream has to repay that favor. fairs fair. thats how techno IS. taking it literally works, but thats just now how techno (cc or c) is if you take a closer look. technos character and monologues are rife with literary references and metaphors. out of all his speeches, why would THIS one be literal?

more people have analyzed dreams character better than i have and ever will in this situation, but why would dream wanna befriend techno NOW? sure, its unfortunate he had to lose such convenient tools at such an inconvenient time, but they were never a neccessity for him. it was just inconvenient, not world-shattering. dream understands this. we know he understands it and holds no animosity to techno for it because of how he was in the dream v sapnap exchange that techno was spying on. if they were friends, wouldnt this be some sort of travesty, a grand betrayal?

as phil said, it was just a business relationship. it was never a friendship, and painting it in such a light is a gross mischaracterization of both techno AND dreams characters.

im all for that good rivalsduo content, but not like this, man. it also baffles me that its mostly the techno apologists that decide to blame techno for THIS. like, cmon, an apologist is supposed to know the cc they apologize for through and through. this negates every argument of theirs, and just shows they dont really know the cc. excuse doomsday and all the other war crimes, sure, but hold techno accountable because “rivalsduo are friends”? mann.

one more thing: if techno and dream were friends, why wouldnt techno check up on dream when he was in the prison? he didnt make an effort to visit the prison at all, even try to spy the outside, he just had it in the back of his mind until quackity showed up on his birthday. he doesnt value a friendship with dream because there is none, techno just had a business deal with dream that he assumed was on indefinite hold until dream could sort things out. if anything, i think this kinda pushes the narrative that, despite upholding his morals and all, techno didnt really wanna do the favor. or, if anything, it just wasnt his priority. his priority was the syndicate, not the favor. the moment you hold something over something else, it proves that that second thing is just less meaningful to you - in this case, the syndicate over dream. dream isnt as important as the syndicate because, unlike the syndicate, dreams favor isnt long-term and he doesnt actively want to protect dream.

More Dream SMP Headcanons. This time it’s Technoblade.

-Techni is a piglin hybrid. His lower canines are rather big, they poke out of his mouth, like mini tusks. They don’t impread his speech because he’s had them all his life. Pale pink skin, his hair is slightly darker version of an overworld pig’s skin. Pig hooves, long tail with floof at the end. Five fingers, normal hand structure except for the tough hoof-claws on his fingers. From the middle joint of his fingers up is his hoof-claws.

-Lots of jewelry, his fancy crown, a jewelry cuff on his tail, bedazzled with gems like the ones on his crown. Earnings and earing chains hangs from his ears. He wears a few gold and silver rings, studded with precious gems.

-His eyes are blue but with his mask on his eyes are a solid yellow.

-Long hair, stops just at the base of his tail, usually in a braid. When his hair is up in one central braid he has a smaller braid that hangs down below and behind his right ear, tied to the end is one of Philza’s feathers. Even when his hair is down that extra braid is there. He even adds a braid behind his left ear, a small disc shaped bead attached the band holding the braid together but he removed it when Tommy and Technoblade split.

-He’s huge, really tall, broad shoulders, skinny but muscular. I’d say about 7’3, man is imposing, even more so with the cloak and armor making him look even bigger.

-His pig mask has built in glasses lenses, when it’s off he wears regular glasses. Black frames, real simple.

-Plenty of scars. He’s done a lot of fighting.

-He was found by Philza when he was about four, a group of adventures wanted to kill lil piglin hybrid Techno. When Wilbur was born the lil guy, being the child of a fae and a shapeshifter, he shapeshifted to look like Techno. They’re “twins”.

-When Techno was in his teens he decides to strike out on his own to discover his place in the world. During his travels discovers a small nation, immediately faces discrimination for being a hybrid, a piglin hybrid to make it worse. He enters the big fighting tournament he wins his crown. He then takes down said corrupted government, cementing his anarchist ways.

-Like in my Ranboo post, Techno also found little Ranboo, taught him to fight, gave him a crown, and they went separate ways. Techno continuing his nomadic warrior wandering.

-His travels yield experience, both worldly and fighting, scars, and a ferocious reputation.

Antarctic Anarchist Commune:

-Techno will curl up by the fire place and reads. Phil will often join him.

-Everyone in the AAC have a personalized AAC sigil. Techno’s has boar tusks jutting out from under it.

This time it’s Phil and Techno!

The Mama Puffy and Duckling!Dream fic is coming I’m just super nervous about writing something when I know it’s no longer just me reading it, but the fic is coming!

I still have the original fic I wrote for this idea, it’s finished, if anyone wants to see it. Be warned, it’s super angsty!

But onto the Anarchy Duo!

Since Philza has wings, the elytra, I imagine he’s a winged shapeshifter. I imagine he can shapeshift his wings from bug-like wings to feathered wings depending on what’s needed. In more summery environments his wings are Eyltron Beetle wings and in wintery environments his wings are feathered. He can also change them at will. Yes this is important.

I was listening to BeetleBug’s Edge of the World a while ago and got inspired and wrote a mini fic. I decided to include it in the Mama Puffy fic with a few changes so it fits better.

I’m imagining Dream attacking Philza because Dream decides the AAC is a threat to his power. Based off the song, Dream tosses Phil off of this ledge/cliff thing before disappearing like the cryptid he is. Phil is laying in the snow, injured, and making a loud keening sound, like an injured bird. Techno hears, comes running, and immediately panics upon seeing him bleeding into the snow.

Gods, imagine Techno, stern, scared of nothing Techno, losing his composure because he doesn’t want to lose Phil. He doesn’t want another person he loves to die. Imagine Phil, barely conscious, trying to comfort Techno, and even though he’s in extreme pain, because he’s a dad.

Later on, Techno attacks Dream on sight but then Puffy jumps in the way, blocking the hit with her shield while Dream runs off. An argument ensues, Puffy standing her ground against Techno, who towers over her. She won’t back down and as things get more intense, Phil limps over, silencing them both. He understands Puffy’s insistence on saving her son despite what anyone thinks, but he also understands how hurt and worried Techno is. He’s a dad after all.

Imagine Phil calming Techno down, urging him to open up a little, it’s not his responsibility to protect Phil even if Techno thinks otherwise. This tiny, bandaged up man, cupping Techno’s face in his hands, calming this mountain of a hybrid as he leans down to Phil’s level.

Puffy and Phil bonding because their both parents of some awfully trouble kids. Puffy swearing to Techno, like kneeling with her sword planted in the ground kinda swearing, that she’ll protect everyone. Gotta love BAMF Puffy.

Hmm headcanons part 1

EnderWalk!Ranboo

Actually very protective of Tubbo and Michael(Ran and Tubbo have said they are way to attached to Michael to do anything angsty lore related)

Ranboo also likes to take Michael out for walks in his EnderWalk state when Dream isn’t making him do something.

Normal enderman habits, lots of grass blocks, lots of grass blocks.

In this form he also has access to his teleportation, but he can only teleport a certain distance. So in the EnderWalk state he’s digging under the prison to get in teleportation distance with Dream.

This tunnel also has holes in the wall and grass and dirt blocks everywhere.

Philza

Knits in his free time, also stress knits a lot.

Has lots of jewelry and other shiny things that his crows bring him.

Has a braid in his hair, a representation of his relationship with Techno, has a lock of Techno’s hair braided into it. Techno has a matching one.

Has a music note necklace from Wilbur, had it for years and refuses to part with it.

Tries to distance himself from kids/anyone he could reasonably be a parental figure for, Wilbur wasn’t planned and Philza wasn’t ready and he feels like everything that happened to Wil was his fault, so he’s worried he’ll hurt them.

Techno

Lots of golden jewelry, keeps his Piglin gold obsession in check.

Picked up knitting from Philza, also enjoys sewing.

If he and Philza are in a fight together he’ll guard Philza’s back because Philza’s back is extremely sensitive due to his damaged wings.

Takes long, very hot baths because Piglins love lava baths. But Techno is a half-Piglin so hot water it is.

Can and will sleep absolutely anywhere.

Sam

In my happy ending AU, Sam finally comes to his senses, horrified by what he did to Ponk, crafts a netherite prosthetic for Ponk. OR The Warden is actually a robot like Sam Nook that Sam would swap places with when he needed rest so that way the prison will always be guarded. This Warden-bot started malfunctioning and tortured Ponk and cut his arm off. Sam found out and ripped the bot to shreds, using its netherite remains to make a prosthetic for Ponk.

Is repelled by cats, like an actual creeper.

Can explode like a creeper but refuses to do so for obvious reasons

Post-Happy Ending, Sam and Ponk live in a nice secluded cottage.

Tommy

Has a streak of white in his hair from his time in the afterlife.

Cause I love the Phoenix!Tommy, he gave Tubbo, Ranboo, and Michael each a feather of his. His feathers are warm so it’s pretty comfy in the dense snow.

He can fly but not for super long.

Will take Michael out flying, after Tubbo and Ranboo made sure Michael would be safe.

Has a green bandanna with a little bee embroidered on it. It’s from Tubbo and he absolutely refuses to part with it.

Tubbo

Has a red bandanna with a little sword embroidered on it(can’t decide between sword or music disc because of all the negative connotations the discs now have)

Wears his wedding ring on his right horn.

Terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms.

He and Ranboo will dance together but it’s pretty funny and ridiculous looking because of the extreme height difference.

Just like Schlatt, if startled badly enough he’ll freeze up and topple over. Like a goat does!
