Started watching the Marineford arc.

One Piece ワンピース [Yonkō Saga / Grudge War] : Marco the Phoenix & the Whitebeard Pirates vs Yonkõ Blackbeard & the Ten Titanic Captains

Thinking about Marco again as One Piece is on break this week. I was always disgusted by the fact that BB was able to somehow absorb WB’s devil fruit in the aftermath of the Marineford Arc. So I made these gifs depicting Marco’s origin & his fall at the hands of BB. Being crushed by his fathers own devil fruit must have been devastating. Maximum hype for the development of the Ten Titanic Captains because they’re so yoked! Oda needs to show them in action asap. Can’t wait for the next chapter!  ♪ : Beautiful Lie

One Piece AU Where Whitebeard Adopts Shanks And Buggy After Roger's Execution:

After Roger died the boys were left on their own to fend for themselves whilst still grieving the death of their father Captain...

What if Whitebeard saw Roger's brats struggling to make it on their own in the wake of their sudden loss of a support system and thought, Hm...is anybody gonna adopt that?

They'd probably rebel against it as strongly as Ace had as first, but... Here's the difference between the two: Unlike Ace, Shanks and Buggy already trust Whitebeard.

They've known him for years, they know he's safe and that Roger must've trusted him quite a bit to tell him ~secret~ information, they know he's not cruel and doesn't hurt kids, especially not unprovoked, and...

And they know that he's strong—that he could protect them from Roger's real enemies still lurking about, ready to strike the first chance they get, at the very first sign of weakness...

But they wouldn't dare—not if the boys were under Whitebeard's protection, because everyone knows what Whitebeard does to people who hurt his family...

And so the little Baby Roger Pirates become little Baby Whitebeard Pirates.

I’m still thinking about omega Whitebeard. My man is so goddamn hugelarge that one of his kids could just faceplant into the scent gland on his wrist and hide there when they’re having a bad day, completely smothered in the scent of pack-family-matriarch

The World Government absolutely censors the fact that he’s omega because it goes too strongly against their preferred gender roles, but it is absolutely not something he has ever kept a secret. In his early days there were many a dumbass who thought his gender made him weak and tried some foolishness. Nobody ever tried twice.

I imagine by the time the series starts Whitebeard is well into whatever the omegaverse version of menopause is, and as a result his scent has deepened, the fruits and nectars that once perfumed the Moby going rich and a little earthy like sun-dried fruit. Ace doesn’t let Whitebeard scent him until after he tells him who his father is. In the aftermath of that conversation, Ace curls his whole body up into the man’s neck and just rolls around in the scent there while his Pops just laughs and purrs at him.

Just. Omega Whitebeard. Strongest Man In The World. Emperor of the Sea. Ten thousand children, no alpha. Out here proving that any guy can be your baby girl but it takes a man to be a single mother.

Let Omega Whitebeard into your hearts.

Akainu has to be the only person that left Marineford feeling even mildly good about how that all went down. Like the Marines technically won but the absolute silence and horror in the face of all that brutality must have left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth. Except Akainu.

Suddenly watching Akainu rip his molten arm out of Ace’s chest all the marines present are glaringly faced with what “absolute justice” looks like. And it looks a lot like a kid grieving over a dead brother and a hundred sons grieving a dead father. And that just doesn’t sit right.

But in the end it doesn’t matter Akainu has his absolute justice and his promotion and the marines have their hollow victory. Nobody is happy.

You've come to the right place I have many an assortment of one piece AMVs for you,

In seriousness it's so funny that you sent in this ask because I'd forgotten that I hadn't done an amv list in a while and also I hadn't actually watched that many one piece AMVs lol . I tend to not watch One piece content on youtube because once you watch one it fucks your algorithm for life so I'd only really had one that had stood out to me before this ask.

But never fear I set my search engine to incognito and perused the internet to find so lovely one piece AMVs for your selection.

this is the one that I had actually previously seen and it's my favorite I just feel likeit embodies all of One Piece's themes and joys outside of fighting (which I'm finding is not very common in the one piece amv community) and It's speaks to the childish joy that is at the heart of the series.

Bonus because this wasnt my favorite but I just think that I'm still here (Jim's theme) from Treasure planet is actually so fitting for Ace it was a stroke of genius.

This scene, the animation! The colors! The way Roger moves! Genuinely lives rent free in my head

Darksiders crossover idea time again!

This time I've been thinking of a Darksiders/One Piece crossover. I can imagine the scenario being something like the Horsemen were at one point part of the same pirate crew and/or the Marines, before eventually parting ways. We could have it that the four were part of the larger pirate crew that was lead by Absalom before turning their backs on him, taking a job from the Marines to stop a potential worldwide threat, almost similar to Garp and Roger teaming up to stop the Rocks Pirates at God Valley

I doubt the Horsemen would stay as part of the Marines, they don't exactly seem like the type of people that would even think of joining.

Later down the line, I can imagine them each being part of the different crews of each of the Yonko. Death and Strife I can imagine either joining Whitebeard, just out of respect, or joining Big Mom, just to keep an eye on a threat. Fury I think would go join Kaido and the Beast Pirates. And I'll be honest, I primarily have War with Shanks just because both have Red as part of a title they have. War is the Red Rider, and Shanks is Red-Haired Shanks. I also think in a way War and Shanks would get along be one-armed swordsmen, just that War decided a gauntlet as a prosthetic would help instead of just sticking with one arm like Shanks.

any regrets?

Something that doesn't happen enough in fics is Whitebeard doing the dad thing where he calls one of his kids by all of their siblings' names before finally getting the right one.

Whitebeard, pointing at Ace: Marc-- Izo-- Haru-- YOU! Jozu and Jiro get mixed up all the time. So do Blamenco and Blenheim. They're at least almost understandable, but this man has so many goddamn kids, you know he sometimes will just completely forget who's name is who's.

Whitebeard calls Namur Kingdew and Namur is like DO I LOOK LIKE--

Whitebeard : I’m going to tell you the same thing I told Roger : « If you come asking me for help I get uncle privileges. »

Shanks : Wait wha?

WB crew : Pops, you can’t be the brat’s uncle and the brat’s brat uncle! You’re her grand uncle!

Marco : Ignore the crazy people over there. I’ll get you formula and baby clothes.

Shanks : Okay but what about the uncle stuff?

Marco : It’s too late for that. You should have know better than to show up here with a baby. At least you had enough common sense to not show up in front of Big Mom with her.

Film Red spoilers(?)

The fact that Shanks adopted little baby Uta when he was only 19 is so funny because now I can just imagine him showing up on the Moby Dick, knocking out half of Whitebeard's crew with Conquerer's Haki, looking him dead in the eye and going "Hey uh what the fuck do babies eat"
