The queen of Olympus is back with a new design!! Too bad that her strict attitude is still the same, I can say that she is not a very loving mother.

I have no regrets redrawing her design, now I can say that I'm really satisfied.

Prayers•

Historical-

Holy Queen of Sanctity, we hymn you, Hestia, whose abiding realm is Olympus and the middle point of earth and the Delphic laurel tree! You dance around Apollo’s towering temple rejoicing both in the tripod’s mantic voices and when Apollo sounds the seven strings of his golden phorminx and, with you, sings the praises of the feasting gods. We salute you, daughter of Kronos and Rhea, who alone brings firelight to the sacred altars of the gods; Hestia, reward our prayer, grant wealth obtained in honesty; then we shall always, dance around your glistening throne.

For the lost -

Blessed Hestia, the first and the last, and the always flame. May your light burn bright and strong, May your prayers be those of respect and love, May you guide the lost, And give to those who have nothing. I give thanks to you, Hestia, for all that you have done And continue to do.

For people with intrusive thoughts -

I ask Hestia, the kind goddess, to help those who feel down. May they find comfort and peace inside of their homes and inside their own minds. Protect them for their destructive thoughts, and be the safe place they need so much

A prayer for homeles—

In Hestia’s name, may you always have a home and a roof over your head. May you always be comfortable and warm with a full belly. May you always be in good spirits and good company, never knowing the pervading loneliness that envelopes the soul.

Morning

Blessed Hestia, Fill this home with your light and bounty, As the day fills it with golden sunshine.

Evening

Glorious Hestia, Let your hearth fire warm this house, As night draws her shadowed cloak over it now.

Blessings of the kitchen-

Hestia bless my little kitchen, I love it’s every nook And bless me as I do my work, Wash pots and pans and cook. May the meals that I prepare, Be seasoned from above, With thy blessings and thy grace, But most of all thy love

Broad-winged Nyx, you clasp the hand of bright Hemera, each eve and morn, you greet her with love and sorrow for only in those moments may you embrace your child. Goddess, awesome one, in your realm are we all unblemished, in your realm do lovers’ promises ring true, in your realm are all things possible, if only until daybreak. Nyx, I honor you.

Small prayer

“Nyx, mother of the night, mother of sleep, mother of death: Might your darkness embrace me Might your energy caress me Might you be mine and Might I be yours Blessed be.“

In general

O ancient Goddess, born of Chaos and steeped in shadow, I honor you now and always. With eyes which have watched the beginnings of all that is, see us now embracing your sleep and mystery. With power that strikes fear into the hearts of the most revered of Gods,

I remember your strength when I am searching for my own. In the starless night where light shines not i will give my thanks to your Greatness, And surrender to the dark.

To the wisest of the wise, to the goddess that tells us the wisdom, may we all cheer for her, like how men and women and all equal in war would cheer after victory.

Athena Pallas/Minerva Deep Dive

Herbs • Olive tree, Tiger lilies, geranium, oak, cypress, Hellebore (Christmas and Lenten rose), and citrus tree, walnuts, pears

Animals• owl, snake, rooster, griffins, horses (she taught men how to tame horses), female lambs, doves (as a symbol of victory), rams, eagles, tigers, leopards, and other cats (could not find why but many were in agreement.)

Zodiac • She was mostly celebrated in June/July so I would say, Gemini, Cancer, and Leo.

Alter• I would not put her alter near Heaphestus, be tried to violate her in a myth, I would not put her alter near Aphrodite because they are known to not get along in myths, but things could have changed. She does work well with heroes, so if you worship Hercules or Perseus I would put her alter near them, I would not put her near Arachne and keep her alter away from spider areas, etc. Keep her altar clean and orderly. Prayer To Athena by Liz “Morning Dove” La Posta

Oh, wise Athena with your spear and shield, protect me and my family from injustice and harm. Council me with your wisdom so that I may make the best decisions. Grant me success in my endeavors, but keep me humble so that I might not become condescending to others. I thank you for the many times you have guided me on my Path. Share with me your mysteries and I will do my best to follow. Athena my Goddess, I pray this in your sacred name, and I vow to always be your faithful dedicant.

Prayer to Athena for Wisdom

Clear-eyed Athena, unrivaled in wisdom, daughter of Zeus and Metis whose craft and wit excelled among the mighty Titans: Athena, I pray to you. Wise in all things you are, goddess; your cunning and guile are well known. In time of war you have no equal in tactics or in strategy; many armies have you guided to victory. In time of peace your blessings fall on those whose work is of the mind–friend of the philosopher, the scientist, the student. Advisor of kings, patron of clever heroes and bold-hearted adventurers, defender of the thinker, mistress of reason and understanding, goddess to whom a strong arm and a sharp sword are nothing without the sense to wield them well and the insight to know when words are worth more than weapons. Athena, grant me a sound mind and steady temper, bless me with good judgment, show me the long view.

Apparently, this is how Hera got pregnant with Hephaestus, according to the Second Vatican Mythographer, 48. On Erichthonius:

"When Jupiter and Juno had produced many children through their union, at least it pleased them to beget children without sexual union, to prove their divinity. Then from his beard Jupiter sired Pallas, also called Diana. … After Juno touched her own genital parts, she brought forth Vulcan."

*thank you deathlessathanasia for the fragment*

The fact that Hera conceived him through Parthenogenesis already raises a lot of guestions, but the possibility that a goddess only has to masturbate herself in order to get pregnant is equally hilarious and terrifying.

That means that goddesses cannot/avoid masturbating themselves, because to them five minutes of pleasure could lead to nine months of torment (not like sex is too different but you got the idea). Are you going to tell me that Nyx conceived her children through masturbation too? That Gaia conceived Ouranos through masturbation as well?

I really don't want to think of this dialogue between Zeus and Hera:

Hera: If thou shall brought golden Athena then I shall bear a glorious spawn too.

Zeus: Thou fingered thy coochee?

[That was a stupid joke. Sorry.]

Anyway, the idea on itself is cursed. Whatever the one who wrote this smoked I don't want it.

Alright, now I'm going to pity Hestia.

She was the first born of Rhea, and by extension the first one of her sibling eaten by Cronus.

She doesn’t seem to be her mother's favourite. The most plausible option would be Demeter, considering the fact that in Homeric Hymns to Demeter Rhea tells her what Zeus has decreeted and comforts her.

She doesn’t seem to be her father's favourite either. The child he had the closest connection with was Hera.

Like any daughter of Rhea she was said to be beautiful, yet she doesn’t seem to care about her physical aspect and this trait doesn’t seem to give her any sort of advantage either, given the fact that both Apollo and Poseidon courted her until she asked Zeus to let her remain a virgin for eternity. I doubt that they would have respected her decision otherwise, considering the Arcadian myth where Poseidon forced himself on Demeter.

Then there was the Priapus incident.

Overall, despite the fact that she's on good terms with everyone and one of the least problematic (and hateable) deities, the lack of appearances make her remain invisible most of the time.

Okay, that is actually cute. 😭

I know that babies are supposed to be small, but why does Erochthonius have the size of a smurf here though?

Aura: Also your breasts look like those of a pregnant woman.

Artemis: ...

Aura: But mines are small, because I'm a pure virgin.

Artemis: Enjoy them until they'll start to look like those of a pregnant woman too.

Aura: What?

Artemis: You'll know what I ment sooner or later.

Aura: Artemis, you're so pretty. I'm not anything like you. 😞I mean, it's almost hard to believe you're still a virgin. Everyone knows I am.

Artemis: 😦

(Later)

Artemis: (Researching how to cause sex crimes)
