Hello. Are there any characters from pjo you don't write for? Also do you write for HoO characters as well?

I’ve only just started with Percy because I was the most comfortable with him considering he’s the main character, so that meant I understood his personality the most. He was one of my most memorable childhood crushes since I grew up reading the series (PJO & HoO). The Readers will either have a specified godly parent or not.

I’m not really into writing about females (which is pretty obvious when looking at my masterlists). And to be honest, I’m not the biggest Annabeth fan considering her character, but that’s not the topic we’re focusing on. I am considering on the possibilities of writing for Nico and Jason, (Nico’s would probably have GN Readers instead of me making him bisexual, but I really don’t know). However, I’m still debating about going for it. Of course, my PJO/HoO writing are more demigod oriented, but you’re welcome to ask about any names you’re curious about. Thanks for the question.

Percy: A kilogram of steel is just a piece of steel...but if you try to carry a kilogram of feathers, you also have to carry the weight of what you did to those poor birds.

Hazel: *sad hazel noises*

Over the months, Percy hadn’t been able to talk to Annabeth about it and the situation causes a change in demeanor for him. He felt so alone — Grover was gone, Thalia was a Huntress, He still felt kind of awkward and guilty around Nico, His mom was too busy with his younger sibling, and he didn’t feel like talking about it to anyone else. Everyone notices the change in Percy, he’s sadder, and more irritable — though he tries his best not to let his anger get the best of him. So most of the time, he’s usually just sad and alone. People tried confronting him but he doesn’t pay them any mind

There are two people who have their eyes keen on Percy though — Thalia and Nico. Nico knows somethings terribly wrong but he doesn’t really want to push Percy’s button. And Thalia notices something wrong on her first visit to the camp after the war, and maybe she kinda knows what going on. She’d seen Percy once like this before. Anyways, Nico and Thalia talked about it, but they’d both agreed not to confront Percy for the meantime.

But time progressed and nothing changed and one of them (either Nico or Thalia) sees Percy by the edge of the lake alone, staring into the distance and they finally decide confront him. And at first he denies and tries to push them away, then it’s followed by him becoming tight lipped. And finally, he breaks. All the frustration, the anger, the sadness it finally breaks. And it reached the point where he was basically gasping for air, his chest hurting from the pain and his head starting to hurt from everything. And it was so painful to see Percy so broken

Bonus if he actually passes out crying

Percy knew it was irrational. It’s not like Annabeth had side-lined him for Piper. Since boarding the Argo II, her and Percy had spent all hours of the day together, and yet he still felt sick to his stomach each time her and Piper exchanged a knowing look or finished each others’ sentences.

Acting that in-sync had always been their thing. Whether they were fighting monsters or arguing with other campers, Annabeth and Percy had ran like a well-oiled machine since they were 12. And now her and Piper did that. It was fine, he wasn’t jealous or anything. Nope. Piper was best friends with Annabeth now and-

And he was just her boyfriend. Was that really all their relationship was now? Maybe he was just overanalyzing this all and driving himself crazy for no reason. Hopefully that was it. Sure, he had been gone for months, but Annabeth wouldn’t find a replacement best friend so quickly, right?

He should probably talk to her about that.

And also the fact that Annabeth basically acted like she hadn’t formed a bond with Piper over the eight months of being with her. It was like, ‘you had been an amazing friends those months but now that Percy’s back, I’m gonna ditch you’. Annabeth couldn’t do that. I mean, it would be quite reasonable for her to drift away a bit but not drift away that much. The only moment they had another strong friendship moment was in BoO where they had to go to the temple of fear.

I feel like I’m wrong somewhere here so if I am, please feel free to correct me :>

You know what the most unrealistic part of HoO was? The fact that Percy wasn’t jealous of Piper. While he was asleep, Piper and Annabeth formed a strong bond together, to the point where they had inside jokes. You cannot tell me that Percy ‘I’m jealous of how much time Thalia and Annabeth spend together’ Jackson would not be envious of Piper and Annabeth’s bond. Annabeth may be his girlfriend, but she is his best friend first and foremost, and he’s definitely jealous of anyone trying to take that place.

Tw: emotional abuse, food

Headcanon that no one realized the way Annabeth was emotionally abused by her parents until she started spending time with the Jacksons after tlo and it was Paul who noticed (because teachers are often trained and experienced in recognizing signs of abuse and trauma in students).

It was little things, like when Annabeth would over-explain herself anytime someone suggested she had made a mistake or when she wouldn’t ever ask to be passed food at the dinner table. Paul brought it up to Sally once, and for the first time she noticed the behavior. The more she thought about it, the more she recalled strange things the girl did that she’d always brushed off as just how Annabeth was. Paul pointed out that they were signs of childhood trauma.

That’s when it clicked for Sally. She’d heard a few things about Annabeth’s family from Percy, like how she’d run away as a kid and how she was torn over moving to California, and suddenly she understood it from a new point of view.

So we all know Percy is powerful as shit, there's no doubt in that. But I think I may have thought of a few more (theoretical) applications of his abilities. These ones aren't insanely broken (except one I had to give up on cause I couldn't find a way to make it work), but they're still pretty good.

Percy can control liquids with water in them. We learned this in Tartarus when he drowned Akhlys in her own poison. So in theory, he can bloodbend, right? But this is actually incredibly good in a defensive sense. Since he can control blood, including his own, he can use his powers to (theoretically) negate blood loss and keep his blood inside his own body, keeping him in the fight for much longer. Hell, this circumvents internal bleeding when you think about it.

Speaking of bloodbending, in the same Avatar episode that that idea is introduced to us, we learn that water can be taken from plants, as well as animals (although that is harder as far as I know). Okay, so Percy can take water out of plants, cool. But what about the atmosphere? Sure, the amount of water in the atmosphere varies wildly depending on location, season, etc. But the point still stands. In theory, Percy can pull water out of his surroundings and use it to heal himself, further improving his durability, and giving him an overall stat boost, as he just performs better in water in general.

Imagine fighting Percy, thinking you've got him beat, when all of a sudden he pulls out a Dragon Ball-esque transformation and surrounds himself in a thin coat of the water from not just the atmosphere, but his sweat, your blood, hell, YOUR sweat, and any other possible sources of water nearby. Bloody terrifying. Especially when you consider Percy killing -> Percy receiving access to blood -> Percy getting stronger -> Percy killing more, basically creating an infinite cycle of steadily increasing strength (providing his enemy has blood, naturally).

So yeah. Percy, using his abilities correctly, isn't just insanely strong, but pretty damn durable too. I did have another idea about him controlling brain fluids/breathing in oxygen through water to circumvent brain death, but that kinda fell through because brain fluids aren't really related to brain death and you need lungs to, you know, breath, which would circumvent the decapitation scenario I was thinking of, and Percy can't breathe through osmosis (as far as we know). So that idea is a bust.

...Unless Jason could manipulate oxygen into his bloodstream, using his abilities to circumvent brain death instead...

Jason raised with the sense of justice of the roman legion starting at a regular high school after toa (he never died ofc) and simply not comprehending how students can pick on others for being a little different. Meaning our happy-go-lucky golden retriever boy is threatening bullies in the hall and it works

the hoo books are a bit iffy at times, but i will never forget when I first read calypso is ranting about francis drake and his elizabeth and I legitimately thought that rick riordan implied that francis drake was in love with queen elizabeth I.

percy is playing minecraft when piper and annabeth enter the room, debating about something. Percy, focused on the grind, barely pays attention until Piper asks him something.

“can you repeat that? i wasn’t paying attention,” says percy.

“I said I think you would look so great with an earring. And Annabeth thinks so too but is too embarrassed to say it.” Piper motions to Annabeth who sighs before pinching the bridge of her nose.

“whatever, i just think—“ Annabeth cuts herself off before she blushes,

”Nevermind.” She’s about to leave when percy mutters something that surprises both her and piper.

“I had a piercing. in like…7th? Grade? Yeah, around that time.” Then goes back to playing his game.

Piper, shellshocked by this groundbreaking news turns slowly to annabeth, her hands slowly making their way to her surprised face before she whirls around and shrieks at percy, “Proof or it didn’t happen!”

He huffs a laugh before smirking and fetching a picture from his bag nearby.

“Yeah I had a piercing at my boarding school, and I was digging through old pictures and found one of younger me with, guess what, an eyebrow piercing.”

percy hands annabeth a blurry, ripped, old school picture print. annabeth recognized the boy in the picture. it was percy. maybe about 13 or 14. he was standing infront of what looked like some kind of boarding school, and he looked to be standing in a group of classmates. he looked pretty goofy in the school uniform, annabeth thought. but that wasn’t what caught her attention. it was the tiny, glaring piece of metal hooked around his eyebrow. annabeth almost gasped out of shock. how had she never known that percy had a piercing? why didn’t he have it now? why did she love it so much on him? Piper stood up and raced to annabeths side, trying to snatch the picture out of her hands.

Annabeth is silent while piper stares in awe at the picture.

“How did you pierce your eyebrow in boarding school???”

Percy: “Well, uh. Funny story. There was some kid doing piercings in the bathroom of this school, and during some passing period I just went in there and got it. Didn’t even hurt. But when I went home to see my mom a couple weeks later. Well, I forgot that I had it. So when I walked into the apartment and she ran up to me, her hair got caught on my eyebrow. I didn’t say anything, and when her back was turned, I kinda just ripped it out and forgot about it,” percy shrugged.

annabeth studies the picture closely. piper wasn’t lying, she really did like the way it looked on percy. the small metal ring contrasted nicely with Percy’s dark eyebrows, and it really did compliment his freckles. but really, the best thing about it was how much more attractive it made him look. annabeth looked back up to Percy, imagining how it would look on him now. a dark blush spread across her face.

annabeth cursed under her breathe, “di immortales.”

Percy was staring at annabeth as she seemed to take in the old picture of him. He remembered how cool he thought he must have been when he had the eyebrow piercing. he truly had forgotten about it though. should he go get it done again? it certainly didn’t hurt and by the look on annabeths face, well, she certainly loved the idea of it. Percy smirked as a dark blush ran across his girlfriend’s face, while an idea popped into his head.

*About two weeks later. By this time, the conversation was well forgotten by everyone. Everyone except for Percy, that is.*

Annabeth is sitting on percys bed, watching her iPad intensely. Percy knew she was probably looking through some kind of building plans, or even some of Daedalus’s old blueprints. Percy walks in, sporting his new piercings. he walked up to annabeth, smiling at the reaction that he knew was coming.

Percy: “hey ‘beth((in my head this sounds more natural almost like he’s saying ‘nabeth, as a nickname for her)). watcha doing?”

Annabeth: “‘m just looking through some blueprints, why…what do you wan-“

As annabeth was talking, she looked up at percy and jumped up suddenly, her jaw dropped in shock. her eyes raced across his face, looking at two very new and very good-looking piercings. on his eyebrow was a dark blue metal vertical bar, and in his ear was a black standard tragus piercing with a blue opal gem in the center. Percy smirked, the look on annabeths face priceless.

Percy: “I got these today. We were talking about it the other day and I could tell how much you liked them. Also, I think they look cool. What do you think?” Percy asked, knowing very well what she thought of them.

Annabeth blushed darkly. She loved them. Probably more than he did. Definitely more than he did. She reached up to inspect his face closer, seeing how the blue opal shined iridescent in the light. she saw the redness surrounding the piercings, knowing they were still sore and healing. She adored the way the dark cool blue metal stood out against his tan skin. She studied his face and the confident but still slightly nervous look, probably wondering why she hadn’t said anything yet.

Annabeth: “what do I think?

Percy hummed a yes, patiently waiting for her answer.

Annabeth: “I think that you definitely should have gotten these sooner,” she laughed.
