I just finished Hannibal ( I know late to the game right) but i genuinely WAS SHOCKED BY THE ENDING LIKE WHAT?? I have been apart of the fan base a bit since i started watching it and i tried super hard to avoid spoilers.
BUT I GENUINELY THOUGHT IT ENDED WOTH THEM LEAVING TOGETHER AND DOING A MURDER SPREE IN EUROPE??? COME TO FIND PUT IVE BEEN LIED TO AND ( spoilers) THEY BOTH DIE???? WHAT? HELO? SINCE WHEN ?

i think jack crawford not acknowledging the homoerotic tension between hannigram is due to a simple case of someone ignorantantly labelling a psychopath as unable to desire people, only things. he believes hannibal is using will for something, probably fbi related, maybe something thatd endanger them. hence the constant "why?" but in reality hes not, hes treasuring will, he took a shine to him and is going to claim will as his by all means.
jack is also unable to comprehend will loving hannibal, putting it down to manipulation and mental illness probably, but will knows best that a beast can only be tamed if he wants to be, and it seems will domesticated himself, or the opposite, thats upto interpretation.
Its so fucking funny that the FBI refused to believe the man thats name rhymed with cannibal and had every psychopathic trait in the DSM-5 was the homicidal wreck, despite mr. never gets a thing wrong risking his life and sanity and hetrosexuality to prove it.
do you ever think about the life saving coin flip and how that might've been hannibals way of putting the situation into gods hands, or her own, its her coin after all, and the decisions coming from her coin, so technically its coming from her, and god. some people say its about control but i say its about curiosity, what has god intended for her? is it her time?. he knows he could bullshit jack with anything, but he cant bullshit God, so let him make the decision.
