Before dating you Kaeya would admire you from afar, and flirt with you every time you attended Dilucs tavern.

He would also tease you for your stuttering by flashing you a smirk, before saying. "Its ok take your time princess."

However there has been times where you managed to fluster him, and when you do its always pleasing to see a blush on the captains face with a airy chuckle. "Well aren't you something."

after weeks of flirting and a couple of dates you two decided to make it official, and after that day Kaeya was all over you. Making it clear to everyone in Monstatd that you were his by: holding your hand, leaving a couple of hickies on your neck. And especially loads of random kisses and touches.

Kaeya loves having you sit on his lap, especially when he's doing paperwork and you just want to be close to him. He'll tease you, before pressing a kiss to your shoulder.

His favorite times of the day with you is when he comes home to you, seeing you all snuggled up in his sheets. As he gets into bed he never fails to smile when he sees you shuffle closer to his chest, entwining your legs with his. Greeting him with a sleepy, "Hey baby."

Or when he wakes up in the morning to see you tucked into his side, messy bed hair and all. He'll admire your sleeping face for a while before trailing kisses up your neck, with a soft whisper in your ear. "Wake up sweetheart." Now as much as kaeya would die to spend the whole day with you under the sheets, seeing you wake up and get ready with him makes him want to get out of bed.

Kaeya would never would have thought someone so pure and bright as the sun would step into his life, your touches making him shiver. Your voice like a melody to his ears, so when you think lower of yourself Kaeya can't but just stop to wonder. What are you seeing in yourself that isn't anything but pure perfection?

♡ with venti, when it comes to him being drunk, he’s either aggressive and wants to fight everything and everyone who he lays his eyes on, wants to play his lyre for everyone or he’s really loud and acts like a kid having a sugar rush

DILUC THE BARTENDER

♡ diluc is an emotional drunk at heart, he’s going to be extremely vulnerable and sensitive, please take care of him

♡ he’s going to rant about his father and brother, about how stressful it is to deal with drunk bastards daily

♡ hug him and he’s going to cry so much, it’ll be as if he’s a fountain

♡ just wants someone to talk to about anything that comes to his mind, and you’re the best person for that, because there’s nothing to really hide from you since you’re his s/o

“I’m just sick and tired of being held responsible for everything, I just want to rest for at least a day or two, is that seriously too much to ask for?”

for kaeya, Christmas is a really special occasion, mainly cause during Christmas diluc is actually nice to him and invites him over to the dawn winery for Christmas dinner

and that hasn’t changed just cause he’s dating you, diluc doesn’t mind inviting you too, as long as you guys don’t act too lovey dovey around him

when at the dawn winery, adelinde cooks so much food, and all of it is the best thing that has ever existed

when you and kaeya were about to leave, the sneaky bastard held up a mistletoe over your heads

when you guys separated, you were shocked that he didn’t go all out

safe to say the morning after, you couldn’t walk at all :)

he let out a muffled groan in response, large calloused hands wrapping around your waist

you jumped up into his embrace, wrapping your legs tightly against his slutty slim waist, diluc helping by holding onto your butt

next morning the bed was ‘surprisingly’ broken, a disappointed adelinde with her arms crossed against her chest, you and diluc covered in scratch and bite marks

if possible, every year he heads back to snezhnaya to visit his family and spend the holidays there

this year he had time off luckily, and so he also brought you

this is the first time you’ve seen his family, yes you’ve heard of them all from ajax, especially of teucer, but you’re still very nervous about meeting them, especially his mother

when you arrived at the door, you were sweating buckets, ajax simply held your gloves hand into his larger hand that was bare since he’s so used to this weather

first thing that happens is teucer screams that you two have to kiss since you’re both standing underneath the mistletoe

ajax obviously acts first, giving you a small kiss on the lips before rushing towards teucer and spinning him around before embracing him into a tight bear hug

“Something on my face?” Kaeya asked. There was a sort of curious glimmer in his visible eye. You hummed in quiet acknowledgement. He gave you a mischievous grin. The one that you loved ever so much. He leaned into your touch, pecking the inside of your palm.

“Now what are you on about?” You murmured, shifting a bit to your right so that he could readjust his legs properly next to you.

“Well nothing I suppose. You just seemed so focused on my lips. Was I perhaps wrong?” Kaeya was fond of the way you glanced away from his prying question. You two both knew better. It was almost inevitable that this would happen.

“Maybe you were, maybe you weren’t,” you countered, causing him to give you a faux pout.

“You’re a very cruel person, aren’t you, Dove?” he murmured rather fondly. There was an odd look in his eye. The kind that made someone want to melt right then and there. The warmth of his hand brushed against your cheek and you smiled at the sincerity in his expression.

“You’re beautiful.”

“Are you fond of nature?” You asked, looking up at the fading autumnal leaves in the thinning branches of the trees. Kazuha’s eyes were trained on them for a moment before his gaze switched back to yours.

“I find warmth in nature,” he explained, “When the leaves turn red or back to green, I gather that it’s a beautiful experience… However, I find the best visage is the twinkle in your eyes when you admire the stars gleaming in the night sky, or the flowers blooming in spring.”

He smiled innocently when you appear surprised by his comment. The way he scattered the words into the wind had your mind in a love-dazed spin. “You… are so odd, honestly,” you mumbled averting your gaze once more.

Kazuha’s grin remained still even after you had attempted to leave his embrace. But he chuckled, brushing against your cheek to gaze at you. His eyes were kind. They had always been. But the way he looked at you was so much more wondrous than anything you’d seen before.

“Do you think I’m wrong, my Love?” He whispered. His breath grazed against your ear and you could feel his smile against your skin. “Because I could continue for the rest of the evening if you so wish. There’s so much I’m willing to say.”

Albedo didn’t miss the odd look in your eyes when you returned from town. Your journey up the mountains of Dragonspine must have had a block in the road somewhere as you set the supplies on the table beside him and stumbled towards the bookshelf.

He frowned, going over the actions one would take when their significant other was having a rough day. He found that it was much more difficult in practice. But he slowly inched over to you, gently resting a hand upon your shoulder.

“Anything wrong?” He murmured, feeling you tense under his touch.

You seemed to think for a moment and he allowed you the time to do so.

“Just feeling a little insecure today,” you finally admitted.

Albedo’s frown deepened. You? You felt insecure? “I do not quite comprehend this…” he said softly, “You’re so captivating.” And perhaps he didn’t much else but the sincerity in his eyes and the way he practically whispered the words with such purity, you could feel your heart pound louder in your chest.

“Do you disagree?”

You stood there, taking in the incoming chill from outside the warmth of the camp. At your silence, Albedo smiled softly, cupping your face in his hands. “Because if you do, I do not mind writing up a report arguing against it.”

✽ kaeya believes his love language to be the short quips and flirty lines he throws at you more than anyone else. he does make it quite obvious how much he adores you, even through more than suggestive dialogue. however, you know for a fact it’s the little touches he never intends to grace you with: the hand on your shoulder when the tavern men glance at you, the fingers gently tucking your hair behind your ear, the way his head only ever finds your shoulder to rest upon. kaeya has the need to be engulfed in your presence in one way or another, especially if he’s feeling vulnerable. but of course, those moments for captain kaeya of the knights of favonius must be quite rare. surely…?

I have neglected the Volleyball AU for a while hahahaha!!! I can tell cause so many of you are asking for a Volleyball AU update oh gosh XD

This is a response to the 3-4 anons who requested a Volleyball AU update. One of you said something about the Olympics but I wasn’t quite sure if I read your ask correctly but anyway, here it is.

Scenarios: Olympic Genshin Volleyball team getting asked interview questions about you, their S/O, after winning a game + chaotic commentary of the teammates

Warning: some of the questions might be a little personal but journalists always try to get a good story anyway, so, it’s still in the realm of possibility. Not proofread. Please tell me if there are any pronoun slips.

Characters: Zhongli, Diluc, Kaeya, Albedo, Tartaglia, Kazuha, Xiao, Thoma, Ayato and gn!reader

#1 Zhongli (Captain/Wing Spiker/Ace)

Tries to keep his relationship with you private. He knows the media is super daunting at times. 

Interviewer: “Did your S/O fly in to support you today?”

Zhongli: “No, they’re at home. Though, I’m sure Y/N’s supporting me, even from home,”

Interviewer: “There’s talks on the forum that your performance is better when your S/O is watching on the stands, and that your spikes are stellar.”

*Tartaglia and Kaeya starts cackling. Thoma laughs behind his hand. Ayato is grinning ear to ear. They’re aware of that rumor.*

Zhongli: *clears his throat* “Well... I... suppose it gives a little energy boost, seeing my significant other attend...”

Kaeya: *leans in forward to his mic and butts in* “Our strict captain just likes to show off in front of Y/N,”

Tartaglia: *also butts in* “Our coach and managers have joked that we should have a cardboard cutout of Y/N and just get it up there on the stands for every game,”

Ayato: “Our captain might seem serious on court but he’s the type to have a picture of his S/O as his phone screen. Isn’t that right, captain?” Passes the question along to Zhongli again

Zhongli: *incredibly embarrassed and has covered his loopy, embarrassed smile with his hand. Plotting the demise of Ayato, Kaeya and Tartaglia. Reporters are having a field day that his teammates are ratting him out* “...Let’s move on to the next question please,”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Zhongli: *hesitates, but thinks that you might watch this so answers* “I’ll be home soon. Take care of yourself for me while I’m away,” *gives a small smile and a wave*

#2 Diluc (Vice Captain/Wing Spiker/Defense Specialist)

Does not like personal questions. But will still answer them just so he doesn’t come off as too rude. 

He doesn’t want his team’s reputation to be tarnished because of him.

Gives straightforward answers. Doesn’t give any chance for reporters to brew up a rumor or gossip that would hurt his relationship with you.

Interviewer: “How are you and your S/O doing?”

Diluc: “Good, nothing to complain about. Everything’s perfectly great with Y/N,”

Interviewer: “I heard that your S/O has been supporting your volleyball career ever since high school. That’s a long time!”

Diluc: *smiles the slightest bit* “It is, isn’t it? It wasn’t an easy road...and I owe a lot to Y/N for staying through all of it,”

Interviewer: “What do you miss most about your S/O when you two are apart?”

Diluc: *thinks that it’s too personal of a question and isn’t related to volleyball at all, so he answers awkwardly* “Err... Well... Everything, really,”

Kaeya: “So, funny thing,” *all the cameras turn to him and Diluc kind of heaves a sigh of relief but he does that too early* “I share a room with my brother while we’re out here and he does these nightly calls with Y/N,”

Diluc: “Kaeya--”

Kaeya: “I can list aaaaallllll the things he misses about 'em cause he says it every damn night. I miss your smi--”

Diluc: *completely talks over Kaeya* “NEXT QUESTION!”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Diluc: *sort of bashful, small smile* “Thanks for everything.” *and just to spite Kaeya and make light of the situation earlier* “I’ll make sure Kaeya’s asleep before I call you tonight,”

#3 Kaeya (Middle Blocker)

Thriving during an interview.

Probably all the interviewer’s favourite cause he doesn’t have much of a filter yet manages to be charming all the same. 

Will show you off but not too much, just enough so that it isn’t too tacky.

Interviewer: “In the last interview you shared an interesting tidbit about your love life. You shared the story of how you met your S/O.”

Kaeya: “Oh you wanna hear that story again? Good story right? It was in high school! I was practicing my serves and accidentally hit the back of Y/N’s head. I walked ‘em to the clinic like the gentleman I was and it started from there,”

Interviewer: “So would you say that you made the first move?”

Kaeya: “No, Y/N was head over heels for me the moment I offered to walk them to the clinic! Totally their idea to get together,” *laughs* “I kid, I’ll admit I was the one smitten from the get go,” 

Interviewer: “Does having Y/N’s support change anything?”

Kaeya: *totally joking but not joking* “It does! I don’t say it often or too much cause I’m usually confident in myself but there’s always going to be a time where you don’t feel good enough, and it’s great to have someone there to say and shout *tries to imitate your voice* “Kaeya you’re the best!!!””

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Kaeya: “Miss you snowflake! Keep cheering for me there, I promise my heart can hear you!” *winks*

#4 Albedo (Setter)

The quiet, thinks for too long type

Kind of blunt

Does not mind any question, he’s mostly just thinking too much about his answer and wants to give an accurate one.

Interviewer: “Did your S/O fly in to support you today?”

Albedo: “No, but they’ll fly in for the last game...We’ll spend a few days looking around here then fly back together...Thankfully the schedule allows for that,”

Interviewer: “What places do you plan to visit?”

Albedo: “...It wouldn’t be too smart of me to reveal that. If I tell you, then everyone will know where we’re going...”

Interviewer: “We heard that your jersey number has a significant meaning. Can you talk about that a little?”

Albedo: “...Oh, yes...back when we were in high school...#4 was Y/N’s class number. That’s all there is to it really...”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Albedo: “...Thanks for believing in me and for pushing me to try volleyball. I still think everything I have right now is because of you,”

#5 Tartaglia (Middle Blocker/Wing Spiker)

Thriving number 2

Loves interviews, so the interviewers love him too.

Tends to go off track and talks too much.

Interviewer: “Last time you went off on a tangent talking about your S/O’s cooking,”

Tartaglia: “Yeah! I can’t help it. Your food here is really great guys, but it’s just nothing compared to home food, you know? It’s been nearly a month of not having a home-cooked meal. You gotta understand!”

Interviewer: “If you could, would you fly home right now just to have some of your S/O’s food?”

Tartaglia: “Hell yeah! That’s not even a question! Course I would. Then I can get some much needed hugs and kisses too,”

Kaeya and Ayato at the same time:

Ayato: “Little too much information there,” 

Kaeya “TMI, TMI,”

Tartaglia: “Jealousssss?”

Interviewer: “If you could fly back now, but you could only get ONE thing from your S/O, would it be a home-cooked meal or a hug?”

Tartaglia: “Oh man, why d’you have to do this?” *seriously thinks about it* “Oh gosh, I’ll definitely go for a hug though. Hugs are more important than food,”

Kaeya: “On which planet?”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Tartaglia: “Hey you! Can’t wait to be back home! Need my hugs ASAP!”

#6 Kazuha (Decoy/Middle Blocker/Wing Spiker)

Polite, quiet but will decline to answer if it goes over his personal threshold.

Still very polite though

Interviewer: “So you and S/O were childhood friends?”

Kazuha: “We were indeed.” *laughs at the memories* “I’ve known Y/N for a long time. Our parents were acquainted with each other,”

Interviewer: “What made you guys cross over to a relationship, after being friends for so long?”

Kazuha: “Mm, that’s a good question...I find that I don’t quite know the answer myself, sometimes. But ultimately it’s because I’d rather not see Y/N with someone else. I suppose that’s how I knew my feelings was past friendship,”

Interviewer: “Did S/O play a significant part in your volleyball career?”

Kazuha: “Absolutely. Training takes up a lot of time. I’m lucky that Y/N understands that, and I’m slightly apologetic because of that too.”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Kazuha: “Thank you for being my pillar. I really am fortunate that it’s you by my side,”

#7 Xiao (Libero)

Tries really hard to answer but is the type to stutter over his words out of nervousness. Probably just not used to the media yet. 

The type to practice interview questions with Tartaglia and Kaeya (the two are really just giving him a hard time, but Xiao thinks that’s great practice)

Interviewer: “Your S/O posted on their social media today about supporting you and it was a photo of you during your high school libero days! *shows the picture*”

*Everyone in the team shares a smile knowing that Xiao will be flustered*

Xiao: “O-Oh, uh... Hm, that’s a really old picture... What were they thinking posting that...? I-I mean! Y/N...has always been supportive!”

Xiao: “Just...be yourself. I guess. Or at least be with someone who doesn’t mind and understands all of you... The good and the bad...” *gets too engrossed in his feelings*

Tartaglia: “Aweeee our little Xiao’s all grown up,”

Kaeya: “He used to be a real bumbling fool in high school. Took him forever to ask Y/N out,”

Xiao: *threatening glare* “You guys...”

Zhongli: “He’s grown a lot,”

Xiao: “Captain, you too?!”

Interviewer: “When you say the good and the bad... Do you mean that S/O has seen the bad sides of you? What do you think are the “bad sides”?”

Xiao: “Of course...! What are the bad sides...?” *hesitates to answer*

Kaeya: “Stubborn,”

Tartaglia: “Too hardworking,”

Thoma: “Blames himself too much for a bad play,”

Ayato: “Tsunde--”

Xiao: “Three examples is enough!!”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Xiao: *thinks for a moment* “Thank you... I don’t have to say much right? Cause I know you know what I mean already,” *small smile*

Super pleasant and wholesome answers. 

The type to never take all the credit for himself and will tell reporters that “It’s all thanks to my team,”

Interviewer: “You’re voted as “best husband material” on the poll today. Any words about that?”

Thoma: “Oh really? *laughs* It’s an honour! Well, I suppose I do like to take care of the house chores. I feel really sorry Y/N has to handle everything on their own right now,”

Interviewer: “Do you think you’re the better cook or your S/O?”

Thoma: “Gosh that’s a tough one! *waves at camera* Sorry honey, I’m gunna have to take this one. *laughs* You are better at organizing things though!”

Interviewer: “The team voted that you’re “most likely to be married first”. Any plans?”

Thoma: “Oh wow! And I thought the previous question was hard! Haha! Ah well... it’s no secret. Y/N knows that I cherish my relationship with them. We’ve casually talked about it for a bit, but we aren’t in a hurry at the moment. Just having each other is a real blessing already,”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Reporters try not to cross him cause he’s known to bite back if the question is about a rumor/gossip that isn’t true.

Interviewer: “We heard that you met your S/O in your last year of high school. Did you only notice each other in your senior year?”

Ayato: *chuckles* “Not exactly. I was a transfer student. Y/N was tasked to make sure my transition into the new school was seamless. They did a great job, so great, that I couldn’t let them slip away,”

Interviewer: “Your sister and your S/O are quite close to each other, your S/O even used a picture of the two of them as their profile picture instead of a picture with you. Are you ok with that?”

Ayato: “Why wouldn’t I be?” *half-grin, half-smile* I rest easy knowing that the two of them get along well. Y/N will be a constant part of my life, after all, and they treat my sister just as their own sibling,”

Interviewer: “Does your S/O play a big part in your volleyball career?”

Ayato: “Y/N is part of the reason I’m able to enjoy volleyball as a professional player. There were certain situations which made it difficult for me to go into professional volleyball, but Y/N managed to push me through it,”

Interviewer: “Any message for your S/O back home?”

Ayato: “I’m certain that being without me is starting to be unbearable, hm? Not to worry, I promise I’ll be back soon,”

it started in the morning - all was good until you were all dressed and ready to go

all you needed to do was brush your teeth

of course you dropped toothpaste on your new blouse and had to change because your boss would literally kill you if you strutted in there with toothpaste stains on your clothing 

that didn’t upset you too much anyway,, yep, it kinda sucks but it is what it is

you went to work

that’s when it started to REALLY go downhill

first, you had to sit your ass in this tiny cubicle all day and it remained right on that chair every time you stood up

that’s what it felt like at least

then, you lost data that you’ve been working on for a MONTH

an entire month’s worth data!!!! LOST!!!!

curse you and your issue with forgetting where you put your folders

so you started over

he immediately helped you chuck off your wet coat and shoes 

“i worked overtime and missed the last bus so i had to walk home”, you sighed

he nodded and hummed “Go ahead and take a shower then, wouldn’t want you to get sick now, would we?” he winked

you scoffed but nodded anyway

 “yeah, especially in this coLD FUCKING APARTMENT BECAUSE YOU REFUSE TO LET THE HEATERS TURNED ON-”

you only heard him laugh before shutting the door in the bathroom and jumping into the shower, needing to warm up because you were sure your toes were about to fall off from the cold

he sat and watched as you gathered all the ingredients you need

“cupcakes. how was your day?”

you strike up a conversation - all you talked about today was work and you need some decent interaction, plus kaeya is a super nice talk partner

“good. i had a day-off today so i layed in bed all day”

you hummed, stirring the eggs and flour 

“how come? you never get off”

“no reason, i was forcibly given a day off- well anyways, what i wanted to tell you about before you worried me because i thoght you were deAD when you didn’t respond, is that i need your help setting up a date for diluc-”

you stopped listening halfway

you were looking at the unopened sugar bag on the counter

you just stirred the sugar in, why is it unopened????

you look over at the open bag of salt

wait a second 

you take out a little dough and taste it

“hello??? earth to y/n?? are you even liste-”

he stops himself as soon as you look at him with your lower lip trembling 

uhhhhh

he’s never been in this situation

“y/n?? why are you crying-”

he looks at the counter and the dough, then he sees the salt beside the bowl you were stirring in and leans over to try some

“oh come on, is that what you’re crying over?” he snorted

he could barely catch you when you collapsed and started sobbing 

he immediately regreted what he said

“hey, y/n, it’s just a little dough! its okay-” 

you just sobbed and he sat down with you, sighing and pulling you into a tight hug

you felt your lungs constricting and your hands started shaking 

you didn’t even notice how antsy you felt all day until now

you gasped for air and he tightened his grip on you

“w-why am i so worthless?!”

you punched his chest

“i can’t do a single thi-ng with-out messing it up!”

“i should just kill m-”

he immediately pulled away and cupped your face before you could finish what you were about to say

“y/n, look at me. you had a bad day - you’re not useless! you’re stressed out! you’re one of the most hardworking people that i know- and, and don’t you ever mention anything about killing yourself! i won’t let you go, not as long as im here”

you were too busy fighting against the constricting feeling in your lungs to notice the tear slipping down his cheek before he hugged you tightly again

your hands gripped at his tshirt

his hand rested over your shaky ones

it broke him

seeing you in such state hurt him so much, he felt his own heart breaking a little with every gasp you took 

“come on, let’s breathe together”

his voice was soft when he spoke to you

he took a deep breath in, you following

you wrapped your arms around him and leaned your head against his chest when breathing out 

hearing his heartbeat made you feel safe

he kept breathing with you until he was more than sure you could breathe comfortably again 

why did he feel like this?

sure, flirting with girls is fun 

and ghosting them is also fun

he usually doesn’t care about hurting them

but why does he feel the need to protect you from all bad things?

and why does your pain hurt him too?

he sighs and shakes his head as if that would clear his mind

oh well. 

taking care of your needs is more important right now

he picks you up and walks over to the couch, sitting down, placing you on his lap and hugging you 

“you’re not cooking anything, we’ll order takeout.”

you sniffled and nodded 

you did feel your heart flutter a little when he sat you down on him

he’s never done that 

you ignore it and reside into the warmth he gives instead, nuzzling your face into his chest 

he smiles softly and strokes your hair, using his free hand to type in what you were ordering

you both fell into a comfortable silence

at some point he thought you fell asleep lol

“kaeya?”

he rose his brows a little and looked down, humming

“thank you.”
