Actually I decided I'm not quite done with this yet, because if you actually look at her proportions, she's really not particularly childlike at all
This might be cursed as hell but look
If you give her a more normal head size, you can more easily see that she's in fact not childlike at all, she's thin yes, but all the characters are, and she's bug themed
But proportionally she's actually quite tall
And the size of her head, besides reflecting a bugs anatomy, is probably mostly so that we can still read her expressions
(Most of the cast have large heads, which is a part of the art style for animation, but that developed for the same reason as I'm about to explain anyway)
if her head was that small it would be next to impossible to tell what her expressions are in any shot where she isn't the sole focus
I like Niffty but at the same time maybe we shouldn't make "adult" characters that look like children or make children do +18 shit. You know what scene I'm talking about
....personally i would want him to tickle me...
