А вы любите ночь? Удивительное, прекрасное время суток. Именно ночью я могу представить, нарисовать, сказать, сделать то, что хочу. Все затихает, и каждый звук, раздающийся в темноте, слышится в разы сильнее и красивее, чем днем. Для меня именно ночью мир становится настоящим, полностью открывается. А небо... чёрное? Синее? Нет, оно другое. Небу нельзя дать определённый цвет, такой как чёрный, синий, серый или голубой. У него свой цвет - небесный. Всегда тот же и никогда одинаковый. Небо не как океан - глубокое, а плоское, словно потолок. Но потолок этот так высоко над нами, что мы никогда не коснемся его рукой. Где-то там, высоко над нашими головами к этому потолку привязаны огромные звезды. Но они так высоко, что нам видится лишь один маленький их лучик. Ни небо, ни звезды не имеют обыкновенного земного цвета. Они манят все живое в эту бесконечную даль цветом небесным...
Я люблю ночь. Порой мне становится жаль, что эта история лишь моя фантазия.

A little adventure of a hedgehog.🦔 (part 1)
A few days ago, I was woken up by a dog barking in the middle of the night. It wouldn't stop and wouldn't let me sleep, so I decided to look out the window and find out what was wrong. Perhaps the dogs are just playing with each other in the yard. However, they were barking in one direction, trying to bite or paw something. Their behavior was similar to that of my dogs, so I immediately took the thickest towel and went into the yard.
Our street dogs are actually kind. All the tenants take care of them. I think that the dogs have developed a hunting interest. And the guess turned out to be correct: a hedgehog was hiding in the tall grass. Taking him in a towel, I planned to take him to the nearest park, but my four-legged friends were in no hurry to disperse and followed me. And somehow I'm ashamed even in front of them, they were so glad to see me, they thought that I had come to help them, but alas.😅
I had to bring the hedgehog home. Tumblr does not allow you to attach multiple videos, so this story will consist of two parts.🙂

Несколько дней назад меня разбудил собачий лай посреди ночи. Он не прекращался и не давал спать, поэтому я решила посмотреть в окно и выяснить, в чем дело. Возможно, собаки просто играют между собой во дворе. Однако, они лаяли в одну точку, пытались её укусить или ударить лапой. Их поведение напоминало поведение моих собак, поэтому я сразу взяла самое толстое полотенце и пошла во двор.
Наши уличные собаки на самом деле добрые. Все жильцы о них заботятся. Думаю, что у пёсиков разыгрался охотничий интерес. И догадка оказалась верной: в высокой траве прятался ежик. Взяв его в полотенце, я планировала отнести в ближайший парк, но четвероногие друзья не спешили расходиться и шли за мной. И как-то даже перед ними стыдно, они были так рады мне, думали, что я пришла им помочь, но увы.😅
Пришлось принести ёжика домой. Тумблер не даёт прикреплять несколько видео, поэтому данная история будет состоять из двух частей.🙂
There Once Was a White Whale Who Tried to Speak to Humans
This recording appears to be a beluga whale named NOC trying to imitate human speech. NOC was captured in 1977 and became a part of the Navy’s Marine Mammal Program in San Diego. After seven years, NOC started to make noises that humans in the water mistook for human speech. Shortly thereafter, NOC was identified as the source of the sounds and the researchers began to run experiments to figure out how he was doing it. Four years later, NOC stopped “talking,” and almost 25 years later, Sam Ridgeway and colleagues published a paper on his vocalizations in the journal Current Biology.
As you can hear yourself, the white whale was not very good at talking. Then again, the whales, like dolphins, don’t have a larynx. That meant that the whale had to come up with a way to use his existing mechanism to imitate the rhythms of human speech. In fact, the researchers found that these vocalizations were not much like his normal whaletalk. For starters, they were several octaves lower, and they displayed a cadence that matches human speech.
