Stranger things theory time (bit of a stretch)

Ok so I’m sure you’ve probably seen memes about the doom of “B” named characters. (barb, benny, bob, billy, brenner I guess) I have a theory. Some of the main deaths over the 4 seasons have been barb, bob, billy, alexei, Chrissy, Fred, and Eddie. What do we notice here? A, B, C, E, and F so unless we’re counting Doris Driscoll, there hasn’t been a D name yet. Now I’m not saying they’re going to kill Dustin, (because they just took Eddie from him and haven’t given him much screen time so far anyway.) but I think someone who’s name starts with D might die in season 5.
It’s a stretch of a theory but….

Just a quick thought and kinda of english practice (since it`s already a year of my last english lesson with a teacher and without speaking/writing in a really long time). Anyways, sorry for any grammar mistakes or misspelling.
It´s my first time writing down more than two or three sentences or even a silly little song.
So I was in a boring day at my job, (I`m new at this shit) e this just popped out of nowhere and I just don`t feel like it`s something I will finish any time soon or have the energy to.
First of all, let me present you my vision. I have the headcannon of Eddie Munson as Bissexual and polyamorous in a relationship with both Steve and Chrissy (in my head this just makes sense)
So here is the result of beforehand mentioned, under the cut:
“[...] Eddie misses both of them, truth be told.
He misses Steve`s smiles, Chrissy`s hugs. In his perception, they were essential to make him complete again and not broken, nor lost as he thought for a long time.
He missed their respective scents. Chrissy smells like Lilies, chocolates and rainy days and a little touch of books; while Steve on the other hand smells like those really expensive colognes with wooden scents, coffee and cigarettes.
Misses the little moments of happiness and joy, the food fight he had with Steve in the kitchen of the motor house, before they went to the Upside Down. About how “boring” he was and did stupid things, while Dustin watched the entire scene and laughed.
The pillow fights with Chrissy, when he used to sneak into her house; while her parents went somewhere far away.
He missed more than anything just those two last details the most, in all the time spent on this nightmare-ish place.
While one side of him misses and wander about how things were going on Hawkins. The other side, the one who has been on control of the body and was explicitly on Vecna`s side since all happened, just really wanted them dead at his feet by his own bare hands and as he said, once they meet for the first time on plain sight of mind:
“I would never care any less for them, they are your weakness; but not mine. They`re my master`s enemy and would die as soon as I can find them in or out here. Even those little worms you protect with your soul, will be soon just a memory.”[...]”
i never expected byler, ronance or steddie to happen. but for a show that handled robin being a lesbian so well in s3 (although i do have some things to complain about that, i was satisfied with it because her coming out scene with steve was beautiful), i sure was fucking disappointed. the duffers are sick for thinking any of the shit in vol2 is good representation.
to tell us will was going to come out, which is a HUGE deal, and then leave his queerness simply as subtext. he never confesses, he never says “i am gay”. instead we get a heartfelt monologue about his feelings for mike that only serves for mileven development.
don’t get me wrong. i loved his scene with jonathan. but we don’t need implied representation. we need more characters who actually say they are lgbtq+ onscreen.
as for robin... to have her side-lined and with a romantic partner that is basically her clone is just disgusting for me. i wish i could have liked vickie because i love amybeth but i just don’t. like, her bf broke up with her and suddenly she likes robin? out of the blue? and we’re supposed to love that? no. fuck that.
it’s 2022. the duffers deserve to get a lot of shit for treating their queer characters like that. fuck them. there’s no excuse.
what should've been
spoilers for stranger things season 4 vol. 2!!
here’s the thing: i am disappointed in the ending of stranger things. not because it was sad, not because im emotionally distraught (although it did not help), but because it didn’t really give the message of finale like it should have, and i think the reasoning for that is because of how many things were left just.. open ended. and forgotten.
my “theory” for this is that the duffer brothers had a lot planned until they realized they really couldn’t put it together without it looking sloppy. like how they left the storyline that is 008 from season 2. i bet that there is so much in that script we didn’t get to see all because they realized that a 2:30 episode is… quite a lot already.
but, either way, the ending is what has left me unsatisfied. it felt drawn out, there wasn’t enough closure, it felt rushed.
that being said, here is how i would have ended it.
eddie is dead. max is nearly dead. and most importantly, vecna is presumed dead. there are losses, but there is that last win. unfortunately, the winning trio doesn’t even know about eddie and max.
nancy, robin, and steve are all walking back, praying that everything went alright. then they eddie and dustin, and it’s clear on their faces that their hearts are breaking at the sight. no words are even exchanged. it’t just pure, raw emotion.
we cut to the paramedics arriving to the creel house. music overpowers their discussion as erica leads them through the house frantically, bursting into the room to find lucas sobbing over max, somehow having revived after a minute of her heart stopping.
we cut again now to the california crew. el is leaning on mike, the group walking out of the pizza store when they look up to see a plane/copter… thing?? they attempt to run, assuming it’s the government. but el knows. she knows it’s him.
the flying machine lands, the dust settling after the propeller is turned off, and out steps joyce and hopper and murray and then a random russian dude they don’t recognize.
el runs. she runs to hopper. she hugs him, crying into his chest. the camera circles them, transitioning to the gang in the upside down, crying and hugging.
next we see lucas running next to the paramedic table thing, clasping max’s hand. the paramedic tells him he needs to let go. he can’t.
erica grabs lucas, pulling him back. he cries. they hug.
all three groups are in pain. they are comforting each other. it is just emotion. and tears.
and then it all goes black. it’s silent. but somewhere, in the darkness, we hear “max…”
then more sounds flood in. beeping. the hospital. lucas reading a book. and we zoom out to the hospital room set up.
and then it’s done.
not only would this give closure on eddie’s death and max’s state of health, but it gives the cliffhanger we needed. it is the finale. it is final.

i’m so upset :-( eddie didn’t deserve what happened to him. he died a gruesome death and it’s sick. poor babe 💔 v heartbroken & disappointed right now, duffer brothers -_-

I had to actually do considerable research for this one, so I hope it's accurate. If there are any war buffs reading this fic (I doubt it, but if you by chance are) please let me know if I got anything wrong!

Wayne never planned on fighting in Vietnam. He himself never liked fighting and once he was back in the US he wasn't a fan of the war.
But back when he was freshly 18, starry-eyed, and eager to impress his Pop, he enlisted.
The year was 1958, the war was only three years old, and it seemed so interesting. Fascinating, if you will. A young Wayne packed his things in a gray duffel bag that he then slung over his shoulder. He can still remember what he was wearing when he left home; a red and black plaid button-down that he still wears today, a pair of blue jeans, a pair of cargo boots, and a jacket that was draped over his arm. By the time he returned to the United States, this fashion would be so far out-of-date it made his head spin.
Most of his buddies went with him, wearing practically the same clothes as him, the same combed-back hair, the same hopeful look plastered on all their faces. That look would not be there when they returned (if they returned at all). But none of this was a worry to either Wayne or any of the five guys that went with him; Joey, Billy, Tucker, Jack, and Arthur. Tucker and Wayne had known each other the longest out of any pair in the group: they were next-door neighbors for their entire lives. Growing up in Redmont, Georgia, a town of under 1,000, everyone was practically your neighbor.
Tucker and Wayne were inseparable. Both of their mothers used to say, 'You'd think those boys were sown together at the hip, with all the time they spend together.' It was true; their entire lives were spent with each other. As kids, that meant skipping rocks in the creek and climbing trees. As teenagers, they shotgunned beers that they had stolen from Al, Wayne's older brother (he had a friend who made fake IDs, and good ones at that), jumped fences to irritate the chickens in their coop, stole cigarettes from their fathers' pockets and coats, and generally spent their days causing as much trouble as they could think up.
They all were shipped out to basic training in California first. Some of the guys were split up between different platoons, but they all saw each other often enough. These seemed minor inconveniences to them; they were ready, excited, and filled with energy.
The strictness of the rules and regulations was nothing new to Wayne, either. The high school had the strictest administration, it was said, in the entire state of Georgia and possibly the surrounding states. Their football was compared to basic training, and most of the guys had been on that team in high school, so they were not phased by anything that the Army decided to throw at them.
But once they were shipped out to Vietnam, the excitement quickly subsided. Over time, each man came to learn the price of war. The price that they each had to individually pay.
Wayne spent five years in 'Nam, fighting alongside Tucker. They were rumored to be the most indestructible duo on Vietnamese soil. But five years seemed to be Wayne's unlucky number.
He still has nightmares about the war. He used to say, 'You don't realize the price you have to pay when you're going to war. It's all fine and dandy when you enlist, and even through basic training. You don't think about the fact that in five years' time, you're going to be holding your dead best friend, his head in your lap, eyes wide open and staring right at you, somewhere in the Vietnamese wilderness with shots still coming at you.' Of course, that was when he still talked about the war at all.
After Tucker passed away, Wayne left Vietnam. He was twenty-three by that point and was sick of fighting. The effect of the excitement had worn off long ago, but once Tucker was gone, it felt hopeless. He was homesick, endlessly tired, and was done with combat.
Of the six that shipped out, only four returned; Wayne, Joey, Billy, and Jack. They finally reunited in 1965 after they had all returned to the US, deciding to indulge in the spoils of war. They traveled as a band, a crew, a group, a lineup. You didn't see one without seeing the other three close behind. They were like this for many years afterward until they scattered across the country; Wayne moved to Kansas and soon started to take care of Lisa, Jack married a young girl named Francine and they settled down together in New Hampshire (to have a whopping six children throughout their marriage), Joey stayed single, moved to Kentucky and still visits Wayne often, and Billy moved to Florida and started a family with a nice woman named Becky.
When the infamous 'make love, not war' protests started to pop up around America, Wayne found himself supporting the cause. He had never gone to war because he hated the other side or loved fighting; he had gone because everyone told him to go. Because it was all so new and shiny, and because he wanted to impress Pop. Because all of his friends were going, and because he wanted the glory. But in reality, he always felt bad when he was over there. There was always a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach when he saw the destruction that people suffered at his hands. The main reason he stayed was because of Tucker. Tucker made it nostalgic. Fighting with Tucker reminded him of being a teenager and hopping Mr. Luschogi's fence to tip his cows in the middle of the night. It felt mischievous and a little dangerous, and it gave him a huge adrenaline rush. But without Tucker, he didn't get to keep those blinders on. He saw, plain and simple, that he was hurting people. And that was never what Wayne signed up for.
I need to see Eddie Munson meeting with argyle. I need Eddie-Jonathan interactions. I need Eddie meeting Will and Eleven. I need to see Hopper and Eddie interaction cause no way Hopper doesn't know Eddie. I need Eddie being frozen from the motherly energy Joyce gives him. I need more Eddie and Steve co-parenting, Eddie flirting with Steve and being best friends with Robin. I need him to meet murray. I need Murray to watch him and Steve flirting and comment on it. I need fruity four talking about past disasters, Eddie listening and compltly losing his mind over everthing that happened. I need Eddie being the older brother figure to Max she needed. I need to see more of Eddie and Dustin's friendship and different/strange but cute friendship he develop with Nancy. I need Vicky and Eddie already knowing each other, chatting casually while others watch. I need to see the friendship develop between Eddie and Lucas. I need to see him interacting with his uncle. I need to see him with Steve the hair Harrington, i need them to be in a happy relationship. I need more interactions between Eddie and everyone else. He came to season 4 having chemistry with every fucking character. I need more of it.

in love with the idea that eddie takes steve’s letterman jacket from him. he starts wearing it but you know, because he’s eddie, he customizes it.
if one thing is clear, steve is decidedly not the same person he was in high school. he’s practically done a 180. eddie recognizes this and he asks steve if he can do something with the jacket since he never wears it anymore and eddie is the only one who does, “go for it, eds”
with that, he fills up the empty spaces with badges and pins and patches and makes it a mix of eddie and steve. walking around with this jacket that is such a mix of them, eddies personality splattered across a jacket that reads harrington across the back
I don’t think I’ve heard anyone talk about this, but has anyone seen that one clip of Eddie and Dustin together back to back?
I was rewatching the vol 2 sneak peak and I realized that Eddie is holding Steve’s nail bat!! This is so cute, I bet there was this whole scene where Steve is telling Eddie to protect Dustin for him, since he’ll be doing something else. And Steve gives Eddie the bat like a good luck charm.
Ugh I’m just so excited to see them again.
Ok so here’s something I just realized. When Tammy Thompson is singing the anthem in season 4, it transitions into a guitar as Mike, Dustin, and Erica are walking to Hellfire. This seems like a huge foreshadowing that I don’t think anyone else has picked up on.
What if the song Eddie is playing in the trailer is the National anthem? I honestly hope they don’t do this (it feels a little corny), but it’s just a thought. The only reason for playing the National anthem would be if everyone in Hawkins was somehow put under the curse at the same time, and they needed a song they could guarantee everyone knows.
Some big flaws for this idea are:
1. I can’t imagine the anthem being enough to save EVERYONE in Hawkins, considering a lot of people wouldn’t have an emotional connection to it
2. I’ve heard it so many times it wouldn’t have much of an impact on me as a viewer (unless they pull off a miracle with the soundtrack)
3. And finally, how would the sound reach everyone in Hawkins? I know Dustin is in the scene near the speakers (probably amplifying them), but it doesn’t seem like it’d be enough.
On this line of thought, maybe Eddie is playing a bunch of different songs in a row on top of his trailer in order to reach as many people as possible? I’ve heard the theory about him playing his guitar to save Nancy, but it seems too obvious for it to be true. I feel like there’s something more going on with that scene, and I’m super excited to see it!

Based on these, it seems like Nancy survives Vecna’s curse and Eddie doesn’t die saving her. I can’t tell where the pictures take place for the Hawkins group, so if anyone recognizes the backgrounds let me know!
I just had this awesome stranger things 4 volume two theory!!! Credit goes to @.dizay on tiktok for pointing this out.
So in the tiktok the user points out that in the D&D game in the first episode Dustin couldn’t beat Vecna when he rolled an ELEVEN. This foreshadows El being unable to beat Vecna alone, just like Brenner said. But at the same time as the D&D game is being played, Lucas wins the basketball game at the last second by scoring the winning shot. Guess what number he is? EIGHT!!! THIS could foreshadow Eight, aka Kali, coming to El’s rescue near the end.
Imagine this: El has just lost against Vecna, and a majority of not all of the cast have been captured and/or killed by Vecna. Vecna is making his victory speech that we hear in the trailer, and as he’s about to finish El off, the striking blow goes THROUGH her! He, along with the audience, realizes this was an illusion and that everyone is getting away!
Having Kali come back would be EPIC! I’ve always wondered what else the Duffer brothers were going to do with her, especially because she appeared only in season two and was never mentioned again. They’ve proven with clock noises throughout the series that there has been a plan this whole time, so I don’t think they’d introduce Kali just to further El’s arc in season two. I think they WANTED us to forget about her, so when she comes in and saves the day it’s even more amazing! This theory is supported by the fact that Kali was referred to briefly by Vecna during El’s time at the lab, and I don’t think she’s ever been mentioned before this outside of season 2.
Even if this theory is totally wrong, I still believe Kali will be back! Lucas getting the winning shot could be foreshadowing Kali’s triumphant return next season instead of this season. Who knows honestly, this show is so good at getting you thinking you know what’s up and then it turns out you actually don’t. Can’t wait for volume 2!!!
Volume 2 is going to end with so much sadness and “carnage” as the Duffer brothers said, I can already picture the fix-it fics that will be posted.
