absolutely hate how I’m sitting in my bed giggling about a bitch named Kevin. Kevin. Kevin.

these messages my best friend send me are so Neil Josten core

uuuuhhhm sorry not sorry for cuntifying Kevin?
Neil in a “my kink is karma” t shirt

sorry not sorry for cuntifying Kevin
Neil and Kevin based on this tumblr post I made:

+ a bonus Andrew because I had space to fill

absolutely iconic scene I fear

yeah sex is great but have you read that part where Neil switches to Nathaniel?
can we talk about how “heavens - twenty one pilots” is just an all for the game song i mean it just fits in... everything... can be understood as the group's position on neil or something I don't know the quarantine is driving me insane lmao let’s analyze:
it could has been said by nicky or just explored as an andrew position in the beginning (obviously “please don’t make any sudden moves” is about andrew)

this is a description of them all

this is andrew’s gang and “you have trust issues” is clearly about neil

this is andreil

AND the last part “it looks like you might be one of us” is all of them for neil assuming he is a fox ;)
so... im kinda of missing andreil... too much :/ guess im about to read [again]
the funniest thing about aftg?? the fact that the synopsis of The Foxhole Court makes it sound like kevin and neil are endgame

I ain't got any friends, I don't even have a home

You want to know what I just realized? How do Andrew’s arms not get all itchy and sweaty when tight armbands with knives underneath are literally on him 24 hours a day? Is it explained in the books?
Like I bet he’s always relieved taking them off and can finally run his arms under water and wash them with soap and shit. It’s probably his equivalent of taking off a tight bra after a long day or something, idk.
Also I haven’t read the books in a while so I’m so sorry if he wears them to hide his scars and I just forgot I just had a thought and wanted to share it. I like thinking about Andrew Minyard experiencing human inconveniences
The Foxes Playing Pass the Phone
(Andrew is sitting back and enjoying the show of finding out his teammates are fucking idiots again)
Kevin: I’m passing the phone to the person who used sarin wrap to dye their hair because we didn’t have tin foil
Renee: Ok, I can admit to my mistakes. And it was 3 am. I’m passing the phone to the person who studied law for a year only to find out that, no, you can’t actually sue someone who refused to give you lemonade at a lemonade stand.
Aaron: It was only two months and that kid was a fucking prick. I’m passing the phone to the person who thought that incest was an organ.
Neil: Yeah, ok, I was wrong. It’s a disease. I’m passing the phone to the person who thinks they can sing and that everyone wants to hear them belting the Star Spangled Banner at one in the morning.
Allison: You all just can’t handle my angelic vocal cords I see. I’m passing the phone to the person who flirted with a lifeguard and almost drowned because of it.
Nicky: He was hot okay?? I’m passing the phone to the person who asked why we can’t just print more money.
Matt: And I still didn’t get an answer, dickhead. I’m passing the phone to the person who thought they could be in Frozen on Ice and proceeded to twist their ankle the second they stepped onto the ice.
Dan: Listen, I needed a backup in case Exy didn’t work, alright. I’m passing the phone to the person who caffeine crashed the day we had a playoff match against the Trojans and nearly had to sit out
Kevin: It was one time and I bitched my way through it
Neil: *mocks Andrew’s salute*
Andrew’s mind:

Currently reading tsc and every exy team really does embody their own separate genres, huh? LMAO
I remember I saw a post that described this perfectly and now I can’t stop thinking about it.
It’s especially funny when the Ravens “mafia thriller” type genre overlaps with the Trojans. Like, as Jeremy is getting to know Jean and everything that happened in the Nest, he really is in a constant state of:

Jeremy: “guys it’s just a fun sport pls stop trying to murder each other over it-“
To me, it's fascinating how hell-bent Andrew is about protecting his people; people he didn't even know about for half his life. He gave up Cass - the one good thing he thought he could have - in a second when he found out about Aaron. He moved in with Nicky; a strange, older man who he had never met before, because Nicky could give a home to his brother (tbh I don't think Andrew even thought about himself in that scenario). He took in Kevin, and later on, Neil. And all that for what? For someone to keep near, someone to see him as useful, as important. Someone to give him purpose.
Oh right, this was supposed to be a question. Thoughts?
Oooooo honestly that’s a really great question! My memory of the exact timeline might be a bit all over the place so I could be wrong or misremembering, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it had something to do with Andrew immediately suspecting that their bio mom (Tilda I think her name was?) was abusing Aaron.
I think there’s a possibility that Andrew was able to see parts of himself in Aaron, no matter how much he might deny it.
I think that, for the first time, Andrew met someone who was at least somewhat familiar with the pain he himself had endured and decided that keeping Aaron safe above all else, was more important than his possible future with Cass. The fact that they were brothers probably added to that sentiment, but Andrew would’ve probably made the same decision even if they weren’t.
And from there Andrew attempted to carve out a home for himself surrounded by the people he chose to let in.
Maybe during that time he started to understand that he could have some semblance of a family without Cass, without having to endure what he did in order to keep her. Maybe he was so determined to keep his chosen family that he felt he needed to prove his worth in order to make them stay?
Sorry this got kinda long but I really enjoyed thinking of an answer for this! :DD
As I’m reading tsc I find it so funny how Wymack gave Jean an envelope of money and was like “Please…I beg of you…buy literally ANYTHING to wear that isn’t like, a couple outfits you infinitely cycle through I’m NOT doing this again.”
He is so real for that LMAO he already has his hands full with the foxes (which include ex mafia kids, twins with at least one murder each under their belts, etc.)
I hope he gets to take a long vacation after what he’s been putting up with, it’s what he DESERVES.
I swear I would pay a RIDICULOUS amount of money to get to read the aftg books from Andrew’s perspective.
This 100% has to do with my fascination with him as a character and how he works, but I also just think it would be so funny to get a look into his thoughts when Neil is mouthing off at someone.
Like I imagine that from the outside Andrew just looks bored but on the inside he’s having THE TIME OF HIS LIFE.
Just finished tsc and OMG JEAN MOREAU MY ABSOLUTE BELOVED!!!!
I absolutely loved Cat, Laila, Jeremy and Jean they were so sweet, THE friend group ever.
Also I can feel canon JereJean in my BONES they’re so cute together!!
Also also gotta love the way Neil just like, randomly shows up towards the end of the book, places a hit on one of Jean’s abusers, gets sassy with the FBI, and goes back to Palmetto.
I fucking love Neil Abram Josten he’s my favourite Exy diva <333
Currently thinking very hard about how Neil was so cautious around Wymack in the first book. Like, if Wymack even got annoyed about something Neil very quickly made sure to put enough space between himself and Wymack to make sure he didn’t get hurt.
The fact that Wymack himself had to reassure Neil that he would never hurt him.
And then at the end of the second book, Wymack picks Neil up from the airport without any hesitation and is there for Neil when he’s panicking and helps to patch him up after everything that happened. Like, Wymack is so focused on making sure Neil is okay that nothing else matters in that moment.
David Wymack is THE dad ever and no one can change my mind about that.
Does Katelyn ever get described in the aftg books?? Cuz I keep seeing her being depicted in fanart as basically like, the female version of Neil. The idea of the twinyards basically having the same type is SO funny to me
Like whether or not it’s actually canon or just something the fandom has agreed on it’s still so hilarious to me. Poor Aaron wouldn’t be able to handle that realisation
Though it does make sense considering that Neil “unreliable narrator” Josten was probably too busy thinking about Andrew to even register what Katelyn looked like LMAO
