I've been pretty busy lately, but here's an old vent drawing I made. Sometimes I go into episodes where I can't stop whatever it is I'm doing, even if I hate doing it, or want to go to bed. It's hyper-focusing, but like ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฝ๐ป๐ช๐ ya know?
Anyways, I was stuck on too high a dosage of adderall (my doctor was booked) when I made this, and that was making these episodes worse, so I made some art to cope lol.

This is Maryanne, an old oc in the same universe as all the others. She is Rorna's lover, and an adventurous dancer. I want to rewrite her as a Kleptomaniac with OCD and ADHD, (since kleptomania is often paired with those disorders,) but it's harder to find communities of actual people with the disorder because 1. People with kleptomania usually won't confess to it, and feel extremely guilty about it, and are afraid of going to prison, 2. Many people romanticize the disorder, and these posts are in abundance, and 3. Shoplifters will pose as people with kleptomania, even though shoplifting is voluntary, kleptomania is not. I will do more research, and hopefully, I'll be able to portray the disorder accurately.

This is vent art I made when I wanted to hurt myself, so that I wouldn't. If you struggle with these types of urges, there are many other ways to cope, and the damage self harm can bring to you physically and mentally is not worth the temporary relief. Even if you don't cut, but hurt yourself in other ways, it's still damaging long term. Everyone is different, but I would recommend creating something, no matter what it is, or whether or not you're good at it. Self-expression is important, and sometimes it's not always safe or easy to express yourself to others. Writing, poetry, drawing, acting, singing, dancing, heck even lip-syncing to a song you relate to in the mirror, is helpful. Find some way to get the emotion out, and remember that your emotions are valid, and that it's not your fault. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
