The Crimson Mare & Boulangerie Colmar - a cc lot by moonwoodhollow
It's finally time for another lot! I feel like I've been teasing this one for far too long, but it's here now and that's all that matters!
The Crimson Mare & Boulangerie Colmar is a bar and boulangerie/café that works gameplay-wise as both a bar and a café and is best placed in Britechester. I've wanted a really nice pub feeling for The Crimson Mare and I hope I succeeded in making it ~classy~, yet also cool enough for university students to visit and have a drink with friends. Boulangerie Colmar is partially inspired by some boulangeries I've visited over the years in France and Southern Germany, it has a lot of charm and is the perfect place to meet for a coffee date or with friends to study gossip.

So what do you get?
The Crimson Mare is a 20x20 lot best placed in Britechester on the Pepper's Pub lot. The building is mostly furnished, meaning only the ground and 1st floors are fully furnished, while the others are empty. It's also been playtested.
The left/corner building is The Crimson Mare - a long-established pub loved by students of Britechester University and residents of the town alike and the building on the right is the Boulangerie Colmar, a café in which your sims feel as if they're in a cute street café in France.
If you want you could add a flat above the café for a sim who'd have it as their own business, or maybe just for storytelling purposes! (just an idea btw)

Is the CC included? Most is! There’s an Excel file with all CC that you’ll need to download manually, but it’s not many files. Deco Sims are NOT included.

i have a headcanon about johanna and effie in the capitol prisons and i want you to read it. we all agree that johanna stood in front of effie always. she took the beatings, she fought them off and effie hated herself for being too scared in the moment to stand up for her. johanna was always brave too, she wouldn’t cry, she would shout and swear and spit in their faces. effie hated how crass she was but she envied her fire. effie took her fair share of beatings, she was strapped to tables and put through things she wouldn’t even conceive in her darkest nightmares. but she would cry. she would beg them to stop and the shame of it burned hot in her veins. johanna didn’t do that. johanna would never. however, sometimes, when they’d tortured johanna almost to the point of death, when they threw her back in the cell boneless and barely conscious, she would cry. she would curl up into a ball where she landed and she would sob so hard it would hurt her even more. when this happened, effie would go over, lay on the ground and press herself to johannas back. she would hum happy songs into her hair and hold her very tightly. they both pretended this didn’t happen.
when they’re both in thirteen johanna has some kind of ptsd episode and she’s lashing out and kicking and screaming when effie walks in. there are several soldiers pinning her to the ground and someone tried to hurry effie out the room but she ignores them and slips around to soldiers to press herself to johanna’s back again. she hums a happy song to her and she stops thrashing. effie holds her while she cries, and when she’s done they both get up and pretend it didn’t happen.
im sorry, i love the russian girls. they are always so sweet to people around them and well also cause they are kids but this obvious bias from not just the judges but also the ISU (for not doing anything bout the crazy overscoring... NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE OLY SHORT PROGRAMME!) AND the recent doping scandal, the way it was handled, it making me not wanting to root for them because we all know they really don't deserve the podium.

To people keeping staying “this is why death of an author is needed”, death of an author doesn’t fucking count when they are still actively alive and harming minority groups. Buying her work and engaging with it helps her spread that hatred and gives her money to hurt minority groups. Stop acting like you’re free from helping by chanting that “death of the author” bs. Until she’s actually dead and rotting, stop using that phrase as an excuse. No book is worth peoples’ lives and I will die on the hill that thinking some bigot’s poorly written book is worth more consideration than living people makes you an enabler and a jerk of a person.
it's really disappointing how people's critique of jkr starts and ends with her transphobia, and they completely ignore her blatant antisemitism, racism, homophobia, slavery apologism, sympathy for the wizard nazis, (the wizard nazi incel) snape's redemption, the villain of fantastic beasts trying to stop the holocaust, and the new game literally being a rehash of the blood libel myth.
