Yo wait. My older brother has epilepsy and I had assumed his major episodes came from his father.
I get little shiver twitches that last a second. I had no fucking idea that counted. Genuinely thought it was an anxiety thing to feel head-tilt-twitches for a shiver.

Happy Autism Awareness Month! I AM SO TIRED OF BEING AUTISTIC!`
An adult in a diaper isn't less of an adult. An adult who needs the help of a caregiver isn't less of an adult. An adult who can't speak isn't less of an adult. An adult who can't work or study isn't less of an adult. An adult who can't live independently isn't less of an adult. Adulthood is about your amount of years spent alive, not about your skills and abilities

This Allism Awareness Month, I got a tattoo to support those struggling with allism!! I have family with allism, so allism awareness is near and dear to my heart!
Grape nuts symbolize allism because even though they’re abundant, bland, and difficult to eat, they still have nutritional value. In the same way, people with allism might be boring and difficult to deal with, but despite their struggles, they can still add value to your life!
People with allism may not act “normal,” but that doesn’t mean they’re not worthy of love! My allism angels light up my life every day, and I only hope one day we find a cure to end their suffering!
I can't believe it's my birthday for a whole month!!
Autism awareness month and I am aware
❗️TIME SENSITIVE❗️
Hello 👋🏽 I am a physically disabled black woman, an artist, and the sole caretaker of my autistic brother.
Last year, our home was sold from underneath us after our father passed away and my brother and I were left with almost nothing, and nowhere to go. We lost everything. And since, have been struggling every single day to survive and keep a roof over our heads.
We are fighting the system for assistance for my brother, but have been denied twice despite full proof of the extent of disability.
They Do Not Want Us To Live.
But we don't want to give up. We're raising funds for housing so that we can keep trying to survive together. Black Disabled Lives Matter. We should be allowed the same tools to live as everyone else. So we ask for your help.
Please help us, share our GoFundMe, share our story, donate if you can. Help us keep a roof over our heads so that we can KEEP TRYING.
Thank you 🙏🏽💜

Tuesday April 11.
Autism Acceptance Month.
Today is Tuesday, April 11, which means we are eleven days into the 30 blessed days of #autism acceptance month, 2023 (previously known as #autism awareness month). April is the month and April 2nd is the day—World Autism Day, to be precise—and these first weeks of spring are a time for uplifting autistic voices of all identities, advocating for acceptance, progress, and sharing in the community's joy. It began back in 1972, as National Autistic Children’s Week, and was founded by The Autism Society to raise awareness and campaign for change in communities, schools, medical facilities, and businesses. And this same vital, wonderful work continues today, and not just for the month of April, of course—but every day of every year. The lived reality is that every day of every month is Autism Acceptance Month, and it is on all of us to do better.
Progress has been made, but there is still so much to be done in the struggle for equality and justice for all those living under the broad church of autism. And if these words sound hollow, then simply read the moving story of Debra Vines, of The Answer Inc., and of her autistic son Jason. She articulates everyday struggles that families can face, and the many joys they experience, too. Her message is simple, but powerful: don't give up on milestones.

Happy Tuesday, folks, and here's to better.
