CHAPTER 1

Jia's POV

I groaned to myself as I heard the familiar sound of my alarm. I lazily moved my hand around with my eyes closed to silence the irritating sound, and when I feel that familiar sensation, I fling it against the wall, and it quickly stops, causing me to sigh in relief.

Ugh. That's so annoying.

I sat up immediately as I remembered I had a meeting at 9 a.m. When I looked at the clock to check the time, my face turned pale.

Shit! It's already 8:35 a.m. and I'm late!

I rushed to the the bathroom as if my life depended on it. I swiftly took a bath and completed my morning routine in 5 minutes. It appears that I set a new record.

It's 8:40 a.m. and I need to be at my company by 9 a.m., and although it's my own company, I do my best to arrive on time, just like my employees. I do not wish to take advantage of my power for selfish reasons; I am a very fair person. Fortunately, my company is not far from my house and will only take 10 minutes to get there, so I decided to take my time when applying my makeup, but I only make it natural-looking because there is no need for me to appear lavish.

It's now 8:47 a.m. and it's time for me to leave, so I rushed to grab my handbag, keys, and phone before heading to the door and leaving the house after ensuring that it was locked because I can't risk leaving my house open, and even though I live in a very safe subdivision with guards patrolling every now and then, I still make sure to leave my house locked and secured. And it's not like the guards are particularly promising so there is a potential that a criminal may outwit them, so it's best to be safe than sorry.

I went to the parking lot, got inside my car, and then left, making sure I hadn't forgotten anything. I arrived at the company ten minutes later and was not late, which made me sigh with relief. I parked my car in the parking lot, took my handbag with my phone inside, and then got out of my car. I hit a button on my car key to lock it, and it beeped to notify me that it was locked, so I placed my keys in my handbag, straightened my hair slightly to ensure that I looked respectable, and then exited the parking lot.

I started strolling inside the company, and everyone greeted me with almost forced smiles on their faces, which made me chuckle mentally since I knew they were afraid of me because I was and still am a very stern CEO. Although I am not very kind when it comes to work, as I previously stated, I am a fair person, so if I need to be strict, I can be that in specific situations.

I entered the elevator and pressed the top floor, 78th floor. As I wait, my phone vibrates, indicating that I have received a message. I got my phone out of my purse and read the message.

SECRETARY JIYEON:

Where are you? They are already here!

I chuckled because it was as if I could hear her scolding me. I looked at the time and saw that it was already 9:04am, which made me sigh since even if I arrived at work on time, my secretary would still lecture me for being late. According to her, I should be at the office by the time the clock strikes 9 a.m. But I'm already almost 5 minutes late. Others in the company envied her for being close to me and able to speak with me casually. But it's just because she already knows too much about me and used that to her advantage to get close to me.

As soon as the elevator opened, I sighed with relief and rushed to my office. As I stood in front of my door, I paused to take a few deep breaths to calm myself before opening it with my typical neutral expression. Indeed, I see that my visitors have already arrived.

"I apologize for keeping all of you waiting," I remarked as I made my way to greet them. To be specific, there are eight of them. They were sitting before, and when they saw me, they stood instantly to greet me with those respectful smiles.

"No, it's okay. We just came early, that's why." A man in his almost 40s reassured me with a genuine smile. I nodded as I put my handbag on my desk as I sat on my chair. I gestured for them to sit on the sofa in front of me, and they all sat with tensed postures, making me frown lightly.

Am I really that scary? I assumed that while I examined them all, they were either looking at the ground or smiling awkwardly at me, but one of them was staring me directly in the eyes with an unreadable face, making me smirk internally. As expected.

"You do know them, right? Bang Sihyuk here was the one who contacted you for an immediate meeting, but they didn't say why because they said they'd tell you personally," Jiyeon continued, referring to Bang Sihyuk, who appears to be in his early 40s. I nodded, "I remember you, Mr Bang, but I thought you'd be coming alone?" I asked, puzzled by the huge crowd of people.

He chuckled, "Well, that was my plan because I didn't want you to feel overcrowded, but then I thought I'd bring them to you so you could understand why I came here." He grinned at me, indicating to the seven males he had brought with him. "I understand." I reassured him with a small smile, moved by his honesty.

"So, can you tell me why you requested an urgent meeting?" I inquired, staring him in the eyes, with a stern expression and a serious tone. "WellㅡOh! How disrespectful of me. Boys, introduce yourselves first." Mr. Bang told them, apologizing to me.

As soon as Mr. Bang told them to introduce themselves, they all stood up and did so, despite the fact that I had already learned all of them. Yes, I had no idea those seven people were coming, but I was renowned for being prepared at all times, so I looked up information about them and Mr. Bang.

But I still let them introduce themselves so that I might at least become familiar with their voice.

"Hello, my name is Kim Namjoon, and I am the leader of our group. It is nice to meet you, Ms. Jia." He smiled respectfully at me, and I could see his dimples as he smiled.

Cute.

"Hi, my name is Kim Seokjin, and I am the oldest, but you can call me Jin. It's nice to meet you, Ms. Jia." He replied uncomfortably, making me smirk for a quick second, because I knew he wasn't happy to see me, but we needed to be professional here.

"Oh well, my name is Park Jimin, and it is also nice to meet you." He introduced himself while smiling shyly, which touched my heart, if I still had one, with his cuteness.

So lovely.

"H-hello, my name is Jeon Jungkook, and I am the youngest in the group," he added, blushing slightly and making me grin with his charm. Right, I knew he was shy with women and new people.

"My name is Kim Taehyung, and it is a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Jia," he said, giving a small smile.

"Hello. My name is Jung Hoseok but you can call me Hobi or Hope, whatever you prefer Ms. Jia." He cheerfully said with big smile, and I can't bite back the smile that are threatening to show.

A sunshine.

Silence descended in the room as I waited for the man next to Jungkook to introduce himself. Mr. Bang nudged the man who was just staring at me with an unreadable expression, and I did the same. Mr. Bang pushed the man, causing him to clear his throat.

"I'm sure I don't need to introduce myself, isn't that right, Ms. Lee Jia?" he added, smirking at me, still astonished despite knowing he'd see me here. I smirked slightly, "Right. I know you are Min Yoongi, but you should know that when it comes to business, we should be professional as well." I stated, maintaining a serious tone.

He didn't say anything but tilted his head slightly in amusement. Mr. Bang cleared his throat and glared at him before smiling apologetically at me, causing me to nod in assurance that everything was fine.

I took a deep breath and looked at Mr. Bang, "So, can you please tell me why you came here in such a rush? I don't really like making adjustments as I am busy as it is, but I'll let this one slide because I know you have no bad intentions towards my company." I said, keeping my voice strict and firm, while glancing at everyone.

Mr. Bang gulped slightly, and his gaze wavered briefly before regaining his calm. The members are more uncomfortable than before due to their friend, but that friend is just smirking at me. "Well, your company is known to have the best trained people who are soon going to be a security or guards of well known celebrities, idols and other very known people who receives countless amount of threats to protect them in any kinds of danger, even risking their lives." I smiled, now that I understood what he wanted.

My company is well-known for having the best trained employees who are dedicated to protecting their clients from any kinds of harm, including risking their lives because it is their job to do so. If you are afraid of being harmed or dying, don't even consider being a security guard; it is not the proper job for you, dear. I am also strict when it comes to training these people since they are learning all of the strategies and advice to fight better that I taught them.

Although I do not teach them personally, I will teach my most excellent man what the trainees must learn in order to survive. Being a guard is a serious and dangerous job, and I want to teach them everything I know so they can better defend themselves and their clients. Every month, each of them would have to spar separately with my best guy so that I could see their progress. That way, I'll know if they're prepared to confront reality and the cruelty of this world.

I turned to Mr. Bang and said, "I understand what you're saying, Mr. Bang. Does that mean that your boys--" I motioned to the seven guys beside him, who were either afraid or blank. "are receiving threats or anything that makes you to have this urgent meeting?" He grimly nodded, "You are right, Ms. Lee. Actually, this has been going on for months now and I am worried because the threats are not stopping and it looks like that they are not planning to stop anytime soon. I feel bad for these boys as they do not deserve this."

It warms my heart to realize how much he genuinely cared for his boys. He is certainly a father figure to them, which makes my heart ache.

I smiled, "No one deserves to be treated like that and you said that it's been months since they started receiving those threats so it is suspicious to me so I have to confirm something. And to be able to do that, I just need you to tell me what kind of threats they are receiving." They looked at me with confusion. "What I mean is, how do they receive these threats? Is it by texts or letters? Something like that."

They nodded as they understood what I said.

I added, "I would also like to see it for myself, if that is possible."

Mr. Bang nodded in understanding. He stands up to hand me his phone to show me all of the threats they've received; they were all pictures of letters, which surprised me because if they were all sent through letters, it means those people knew their address but to be honest, I shouldn't even be surprised at all. He returned to his seat, fidgeting uneasily with his boys, who were watching my reaction as I glanced at the images they had taken of the letters.

If I'm not mistaken, there are exactly 12 letters; scratch that, threats that caused me to frown and look closer at the letters, and there it is, the symbol that I am quite familiar with on the upper right side of the letters.

It was faint and barely noticeable, but because of my keen eyesight, I was able to see it. I got closer to confirm whether what I was seeing was correct, and it was absolutely that symbol. In disbelief, I sat back in my chair and looked at him, only to realize that he, too, was staring at me with a knowing look.

The rest of them stared at me uneasily, recognizing how surprised I was to see something so unusual of me, since I am known for usually wearing a neutral and serious expression, but this went well beyond that. I took a deep, silent breath and looked at each of them one by one with an unreadable expression.

What did they do for them to be this obsessed at these boys?

The threats may look like just a normal threats but no, it is beyond that. It was written as if they want them to think that it is just that.

I gave the phone back to Mr. Bang just to notice that he is slightly shaking making me almost show my real emotions; sadness, pity and anger. But I didn't because I don't want to scare them when they already looks like they are going to shit their pants any second.

I cleared my throat, "I just want to ask you all, why me? I mean, why did you all decided to come to my company when I am sure there is a lot more companies out there who also specializes in these kind of things." I asked them, raising my eyebrows.

Namjoon spoke which surprises me but makes me feel relieve because I also want to hear their thoughts.

"Actually, Yoongi hyung recommends you to us and said that he knows you can catch them. Whoever they are." He said, his voice wavering a little out of nervousness.

Of course, I knew it would be him.

As soon as Yoongi's name was mentioned, I looked at him automatically to see him looking at me with his signature smirk. Though, he was making sure no one else sees that, but me.

I nodded understandingly, getting serious. "If you didn't notice, there is actually a symbol at the upper right side of the letters or threats, whatever you want to call it. It was faint but I saw it when I took a closer look, and as soon as I saw that, I knew that it is more serious and deep than I thought it would be." I said, a little tense but I know they didn't notice it because they were so focused on what I was saying.

Mr. Bang looked at me in a question. "What do you mean by that?" He asked, feeling more worried and scared than before. For the boys. His boys.

I took a silent deep breath, looking at Mr. Bang in the eyes. "What I was trying to say is that I know that symbol and it seems like I would have to do that job, personally." I said, biting my lips slightly as realization hits me that, indeed, I will have to, no, I must guard these boys instead of someone else.

They all looked at me, shocked, " But how are you going to do that when you are a CEO yourself. You need to be here, at your company. And you also said that, about the symbol, you know what it was. So does that mean that you also know who is behind these threats?" Jin spoke, looking confused and still shocked when he finally registered in his mind what I was saying.

I was about to answer his question when suddenly, the door in my office was opened violently, the door hitting the wall startling everyone because of how hard this person opened it.

"What the hell, Hyunjin?" I cursed, automatically from the shock. He looks at me then at everyone in the room with a nervous look in his face, greeting my guests silently then looked back at me with a more serious look.

I looked at my guests a little apologetic for the interruption but they just waved me off, faintly saying that it's okay.

I gestured for Hyunjin, my best man, to come closer to me so he could tell me what makes him interrupt my meeting so sudden, but I knew he must have his reasons because he just won't interrupt my meeting like that, and also without having to violently open my door as if he was in a rush to get here.

He obeyed walking closer to me, then he whispered something in my ears making me freeze, visibly.

He stood right back up, looking at me in almost pity but he knew I don't want that.

Silence fell in the room while I was trying to process what Hyunjin told me. Oblivious to the concerned stares I was receiving.

I didn't expect it to be this soon.

"Jia" Hyunjin softly calls out my name, when he noticed that my guests are getting worried seeing me freeze suddenly, and he successfully snapped me out of it.

I glanced at everyone in the room to see them looking shocked, clearing my throat. Why do they looked so shocked? Is it because of how i reacted or something else?

Also I noted the way Yoongi and Jin are studying Hyunjin, who feels slightly uncomfortable from the stares or more like glares that he is receiving.

I stood up, bowing slightly. "I'm so sorry but i am afraid we can't continue this meeting as I have a very important person to meet. But don't worry, i'll reach out to you once I am free and we can discuss about this again." I said glancing at them, giving them assurance that I won't be declining their request.

They all nodded understandingly, but can't help but get worried because they knew whoever this person was is not someone you're comfortable meeting with, atleast that's how it looks like to them who saw your reaction.

They all stood up and bowed at me making me do the same and they began walking out of the room one by one while giving me respectful smiles.

As soon as the door closed, I sat again on my chair, trying my best to relax my body.

I rubbed my forehead feeling a headache coming, but that is the least of my worries when my father is coming here.

No, my father is a good man, to his family atleast. I am not scared of him, but the situation. You see, my father and I had an agreement a few years ago and it seems like it is finally the time to do the deed.

Our deal.

That deal is going to change my life fo the worst, or for the better.

Who knows?

CHAPTER 2

Jia's POV

A few minutes passed before I heard my secretary announce that my father had arrived. I hastily stood up to leave my chair, and as I approached the door, it opened, and my father entered my office, glancing around the room before fixing his gaze on me.

"Hello, dad. What brought you here so suddenly? I was in the middle of an important meeting." I greeted him while bowing slightly, then motioned for him to seat on my sofa, despite the fact that he was already making himself at home on my spacious sofa.

This building has 78 storeys, however this is the largest office room in my building. So I don't mind that those guys came along with Mr. Bang because my office, which used to be my father's, is very vast.

The CEO position was given to me at a young age, and I don't want to complain because I enjoy doing business, which requires action. In or out. It's not as if I was compelled to take this road; I chose it myself. But deep inside, I understood I didn't have many options at the time, which is why I became a CEO so early.

My father arched an eyebrow at me, "I know you know why I'm here, though." I sighed, finally stopping to pretend I didn't know why he was here, despite the fact that I obviously did.

"Alright you win. So it's finally the time huh?" I remarked chuckling, even though there is nothing amusing about the situation.

I'm losing it.

My father stared at me and started scrutinizing me. I know that should annoy me a little, but him scrutinizing me as if he was trying to figure out what I was thinking doesn't disturb me. I was used to that, and I am also like that. A highly observant person. He turned away after a few minutes, which calmed my racing heart, which felt like it was about to burst out of my body.

"You know this was an agreement between you and I a few years ago. You agreed to it and I never forced you. I gave you time to think about it but you still said yes so you can't back down now because I don't have anyone else to give that position except you. My only child. My heir." He reminds me with a firm expression as I nodded at him.

"So, when is the party?" I asked, making him smile.

-

My father left after two hours of detailing everything that would happen at the party he was holding for me. He is just like that; whenever there is an occasion, he ensures that the celebration is lavish and large. Very huge. However, this month's party will be significantly different from all of the previous ones. This celebration is for me. For me, who is going to become a leader for our real business.

I started cleaning up the messs surrounding my table, then took my handbag and long brown coat before leaving the office. I strolled till I reached the elevator, then waited a few minutes before entering as it opened. I came out of the elevator and was about to leave the building when I noticed a familiar man standing calmly in the lobby, glancing at his wristwatch, as if he had been waiting for someone for quite some time.

I slowed my pace to see if it was actually him, and when he looked up from his watch, his blank eyes rested on me, astonishing me slightly. I turned away from him and began making my way out of the building since I was worn out and just wanted to get home to sleep.

I was holding my handbag securely as I approached the exit when I heard my name called, prompting me to turn around and see him striding towards me with his typical scowl. He stopped approaching when he was just a few steps away from me, "It's been a while, Mafia Princess." He murmured the last bit, bowing ninety degrees, which drew the attention of the other staff, but they didn't care because they were like that to me as well. They understood I was not someone to mess with. They also understood the need of respecting me and everyone else at all costs. How can you be an honorable security guard if you don't know how to respect others?

I gazed at the man in front of me blankly before turning away to continue my attempt to leave the building to the private parking lot that only I had access to. There are three parking lots: one for me, one for clients, and another for employees. My fingerprint is the sole thing that can open my private parking lot, ensuring that no one else may meddle or intrude.

But this time, I'm going to let the man behind me into this place. As soon as I walked inside, he followed, and the door closed itself, beeping to indicate that it was locked.

I turned around to face him. "What do you want?" I questioned, arching an eyebrow at him. He averted his wandering eyes to stare at me briefly, then looked down after meeting my heated gaze to look at his feet. "Why?" He just spoke one word, but I knew what he was asking, and I don't know how to respond.

Who am I fooling? Of course I do. I clicked my tongue and said, "It's been years," implying that I don't want to continue the subject right now. He doesn't appear to want to end this conversation, though. Of course, after meeting me again after years, he refuses to pass up the opportunity to speak with me.

"I know years have passed, but you didn't even give me an explanation back then; I should at least deserve to know the reason, don't you think so?" He said blankly, still looking down at his feet.

I breathed deeply, "I know but don't you think because of that it benefits you more seeing the state your group are in right now? You guys are known worldwide already and you guys could achieve more in the future. And that became possible because you had no distractions. You never had to worry about anything else because of what I did. Don't you realize it now? I did that so you could focus on your dream."

He looked up when he heard that, "Why did you even care? If you didn't do that, I would have been by your side until now-" He continued, frustrated, but was cut short. "You know it didn't even matter because I had someone for that now, do you?" I interrupted his rambling. That seems to have silenced him, as he clenches his jaw.

I added, "And also, you don't have to call me Mafia Princess anymore." He glanced at me puzzled, but his eyes widened with recognition. "Is it the time?" he questioned, gasping. I smirked, gradually reducing the distance between us. "Yes, baby. It is finally the time," I whispered, causing him to shudder slightly.

When he started breathing heavily, I leaned back and looked at him, "Don't worry, because of that, I'll have more power and connections, which will help me more to help you guys, and I'll make sure none of you get hurt." I promised him that no matter what, those bastards would not be able to touch a single hair of these boys.

-

It's been a week since I met Mr. Bang and his guys, and I finally had the opportunity to speak to them. After that conversation with my father, I became so preoccupied that I almost forgot about the position they have, which is now mine as well. I was preoccupied with preparing for the party, addressing things at the company because, no matter what, I am still the CEO, and other things which required both mental and physical preparation.

I am currently on my way to the BigHit building to meet with Mr. Bang and possibly the members as well, because they are deeply involved with this matter and need to be kept up to date on what will happen next. They stated they could just come to my company, but I wanted to familiarize myself with theirs as well, because I would be "working" there shortly. I should know how to get there, right?

As soon as I arrived to BigHit, I was greeted by an unidentified man in front of the building, who appeared to be waiting for me. "Hello, my name is Kim Jung-Ha. I am the manager of the boys, BTS. I was sent here to guide you through the building. It is nice to meet you, Ms. Lee." He greeted me with a respectful smile while bowing.

Ting.

When I heard it, I stared at him suspiciously, but not in an evident way, giving the impression that it was also a pleasure to meet him. As if. It is our first meeting, and he is already lying in my face. I'm not sure what he's lying about; maybe his name? or that he manages the boys? Perhaps he is lying when he says it's wonderful to meet me?

It doesn't matter; I need to be extra cautious with this man because he could very well be a spy for them. I also gave him a modest fake smile while greeting him, but it appears that he was duped by my act, so he didn't pay much attention to it. Soon, he led me through the building while discussing how the great Mr. Bang became successful, and he also informed me that one of the key reasons the company is so successful is because of BTS.

They are well-known all around the world for their excellent music and other accomplishments. He stated that the boys have been through a lot and have done nothing but good for the fans, but they continue to face hatred and threats, which they do not deserve.

Ting.

I clicked my tongue in disgust; why the hell is he lying to my face? I'm not sure which aspect he's lying about, and that's for me to figure out.

He appears to have heard me clicking my tongue because he stopped talking almost immediately to look at me, but I ignored him because we were getting close to the location where I was scheduled to meet them. He didn't even try to strike up a conversation after that, which I much appreciate because my ears are ringing painfully from his unknown lies. One thing I noticed about this building is that employees are kind, welcoming me as I passed them. The building is stunning; it is large and lovely. Overall, it is really luxurious.

The building has 53 floors, which is a large number for an K-pop industry. It appears like they are highly successful, but this will be irrelevant when they face a very dangerous person who has the potential to destroy them. We arrived in front of the conference room doorway on the 27th level.

I glanced at the man beside me and asked, "Are they in here?" He quickly lowered his eyes, "Yes. They are inside waiting for you." I hummed, "Alright. You can leave now, thank you for giving me a great tour of the building."

He stared at me, perplexed. "Why should I leave? I am instructed to guide you wherever you may go so that you do not get lost." He answered nicely, not understanding my argument. I rolled my eyes secretly and opened the door, not wanting to stare at the man any longer. He's so obnoxious and dumb. Who is he lying to? Me? I sarcastically laughed mentally, knowing that no one could fool me. Nobody can.

I opened the door, and it appears like they were talking before but stopped as they heard the door open. They all stood up and bowed to greet me. I simply nodded at them and returned a polite greeting. I stood in front of them, with a long and large table circling the meeting room. And I stood right in front of them, expecting that this meeting would take a long time.

CHAPTER 3

As I stood in front of them, expecting them to pay attention to me, I realized that the boys' manager was still in the conference room, which I disliked.

I looked at the man and said, "I'm sorry, but can you please leave? This meeting is only for the people involved, such as Mr. Bang and the boys." I tried to be respectful. The man looked at Mr. Bang with a pleading expression, "I can't leave. I am also worried about the boys." He added, staring at the boys with a fake worried expression, but they don't appear to notice how fake he is.

Ting.

How many times does he plan to lie in a day? "Ms. Lee, you can trust him; he's been with us for years." Mr. Bang was attempting to calm me as the boys nodded in agreement, but I wasn't having it. I rolled my eyes, and while I should not have done so because it could be perceived as disrespectful, I didn't care at this point. They gasped silently as they witnessed the action. I remained silent as I proceeded towards the man, smirking and looking at everyone. "Mr. Bang, are you sure?" I questioned, taunting him.

Mr. Bang swallowed nervously as he saw my expression. "W-what?" he mumbled, uncertainty coursing through his veins. I turned my gaze from the man to look at Mr. Bang, and I stopped walking to stand in front of him.

"Are you sure you can trust this man?" I asked him in a pretend humorous tone. Mr. Bang remained silent as if bewildered, so one of his boys spoke up. "Ms. Lee, like he said, you can trust Mr. Kim as he's been our manager for almost three years." Jin spoke up, seeming irritated that I don't believe their extraordinarily real and innocent manager.

I grinned mockingly, "Is that so? He's been working for you for nearly three years, you said, and you still don't know how fake he is? I only know him for-" I paused to check the time on my wristwatch. "-32 minutes but even with such a short time, I already know that he is not a very honest person." Their manager clenched his teeth, fury and confusion coursing through his veins. How the heck did you know he was lying? He believed he was doing an excellent job as an actor, but it doesn't matter since he believes the boys will support him, but I'm not going to take his lying ass anymore.

Mr. Bang remained silent and appears to be simply observing the manager. Jin looks at me perplexed because he believes I was really harsh and disrespectful for saying so, yet he can't help but feel a bit afraid because of how confident you appear while saying such things.

The other members are now very tense and bewildered about what is going on, gazing between their manager and you. "And why do you think he is lying?" Yoongi asked this time, asking the question that other members are too afraid to ask since they can't move their lips to say.

I smirked, looking back to find the manager glaring at me, making me chuckle mockingly at him. I stared at him, then at his dark gray jacket, and then back at his eyes to notice how stiff he became as he noticed me looking at his jacket. I raised my hand to touch his jacket while maintaining eye contact with the man who appeared to freeze in front of me, and as soon as I touched that small thing, which you can't see easily but only if you pay close attention.

And it is something that is quite familiar to me now; I removed it firmly from his jacket, threw it to the ground, and stamped on it repeatedly until it smashed into pieces. Mr. Bang and the other members all looked at it immediately, but it appears that just one of them knows what it is. "A fucking spy cam." Yoongi cursed, glaring at their manager, or perhaps now ex-manager, who appears to be about to shit his pants.

"What do you mean, hyung? A spy cam?" Jimin asked in disbelief, still processing everything. Yoongi was unable to respond to his question because he was already on his way to their fake ass of a manager. As soon as he arrived, he hit him straight in the jaw, and everyone heard a bone cracking as the impact was remarkably forceful. Yoongi was furious, as were the others, but no one could do that to the man like Yoongi; they were as motionless as statues after learning that their manager had deceived them.

"What a fucking jerk. We trusted you, and I can't believe you also tricked me." Yoongi spat in fury, gazing furiously at the man who was now on the floor, gripping his jaw and groaning in pain. He clenched his fists and spat, "Leave before I kill you." But then the manager started giggling and seemed as if he had lost his mind. I looked at the man and saw him smirking at me, as if the pain wasn't bothering him anymore.

He quickly got up, carrying a small sharp knife, and it appears that he was hiding it in his boots while racing towards me at a high speed to attack me, but he should know better than get close to me. I backed away easily as soon as he raised his hand to stab me, and he is aiming for my neck. Screams could be heard, but I didn't pay attention to them. He yelled in anger and attempted to attack me again, but was stopped when someone punched him in the stomach, causing him to drop the knife and hold his stomach in pain. I instantly took the knife from the floor and analyzed it.

I scoffed in disbelief, but wasn't shocked after smelling the knife. It seemed strange of the man to attempt to stab me while just aiming at my neck. "Really? I didn't realize they wanted me dead that bad," I sarcastically replied, glancing at the man on the floor. When I looked at the others, I noticed that they were standing there, holding their mouths and looking afraid. But I'm glad they didn't make a fuss and called for help. I made it extremely straightforward to them last time that in these kind of situations, you should never call anyone else for help until absolutely necessary. Unless I instructed them to do so.

They disagreed at first, but they knew better than to disobey me. I'm only doing what I know is best for them: protecting them. Yoongi took the knife from me and smelled it, but he didn't recognize the smell. He gave me a questioning look, but I didn't even look at him because I was now walking around the room, warning them not to allow their manager leave. I investigated every area of the conference room, including under the table, to ensure that there were no other spy cameras in the room.

When I finished checking everything and ensuring that the conference room was safe, I returned to check on them and saw that their manager was tied to a chair. It's ridiculous that they used tape to bind him, but they used a lot of it, so it proved extremely effective in keeping him in place. His wrists and feet are securely tied, and I'm sure it would be terrible for the man to remove the tape from his skin afterwards, but do we care? No.

I remained silent as I made my way in front of the man, with the others on either side of him. Yoongi, Jin, and Mr. Bang is on his right, with the rest on his left. I sighed, already knowing who came up with this idea, but stayed quiet. I looked down at the man as I stood in front of him.

I ripped open his jacket and shirt, hoping to discover something that would confirm whether my guess was correct. The others seemed astonished but didn't ask why. And I see it. The tattoo appears to be identical to the tattoo on the letters.

"It's them," I exclaimed, glancing at the boys. "What do you mean?" Jungkook said, puzzled. I bit on my lower lip before replying, "The symbol on the threats is identical to the tattoo this man has; it's them." I pointed out with an unreadable expression on my face.

"What? What is the meaning of that tattoo anyway? I just don't understand why that man has that symbol tattooed on his body, and even on the letters, that symbol was there." Jungkook muttered in confusion, his brow furrowing in an attempt to understand but failing. "Don't you get it? That symbol is there because they wanted to be known. They had the symbol tattooed on their bodies because it's like a tradition, they will have to get that tattoo as a recognition that they are a member of their organization." I remarked as I examined the tattoo of the male.

The tattoo shows a little snake. Simple, yet it means a lot to them. They define a snake as someone who stabs you behind your back with no remorse. They are a bunch that will do whatever it takes to win, fair or unfair. They simply have to win; that is the goal. And their boss adores snakes, that may possibly mean death. To the point where he would have his members wear the symbol on their body.

A symbol of who they are.

Snakes.

They remained silent as I pondered how to persuade the man in front of me to spill some information that could potentially help us in some way, but I knew it wasn't possible because their leader isn't stupid. "Do you know who I am?" I questioned the man, simply asking the question. I want to know whether he knows who I truly am.

The man shrugged, laughing, "You are Lee Jia, the CEO of whatever company you own, it's not like I fucking care." He spit, rolling his eyes. The others didn't even bother to cover their surprised gasps, as they couldn't believe the man's disrespectful attitude.

I allowed my gaze to wander across his body as I faked a smile to mock him, "Hm. I don't know but one thing I know is that your organization sucks. You might think you guys are some cool people out there because no one was able to catch you, yet. But in reality, your leader is not really that smart. He acts recklessly once his buttons are triggered, he only thinks about himself. You should've known that by now."

The man gasped, "H-how do you know-" He was unable to continue his question because I paused him off. "How? Think. How the hell do you think I know your leader's name, gender, etc. when his personal information was too confidential and impossible to obtain anywhere?" I said, stunning everyone and purposefully making him believe that I am not someone he-they should fool with. The man remained silent and stared into nothing, as if he already knew the answer.

I chuckled darkly, lowering my body slightly to face the man and peering into his eyes. "I can make the impossible possible, because I am Lee Jia," I said slowly as I looked into his eyes. I leaned back and began walking around him, observing him. The others stepped back to give me room to do what I needed to do.

"Your tattoo, do you know what that means?" I asked the man, pausing in front of him again. I wanted to know since it's possible that he doesn't understand what their tattoo implies. You see, I discovered that there are three levels in their organization.

Level one. People who are regarded as very significant and have many contacts within the organisation. People in whom the organization trusted.

Level two. People in the middle. People who can aid the organization but are not yet trusted.

Level three. A group of spies and assassins. People who are not significant to the organization and, if caught while on a mission, are immediately eliminated out of the group. And obviously, this dude is on the third level. He is now completely useless to the organization, and it appears that he is unaware of this.

After I posed the question, the man glanced at me suspiciously, but he saw no risk and didn't hesitate to respond. "Our boss said that the meaning of our tattoo is that snakes may be dangerous, but in hard times they'll help each other in the end just like how he'll help us whenever we are in trouble." He remarked with certainty and was smirking at me. "Pfft-" I snorted, unable to contain my laughter since it was too amusing. Does he honestly believe their boss will save them? Poor guy.

The man looked at me open-mouthed because why did I even laugh when there's nothing humorous about what he said? Seeing the man's reaction makes me laugh even more so I didn't bother to restrain my laughter any longer, so that's what I did. I laughed in his face. "What the fuck was funny about that? Trust me, you won't be able to even laugh when my boss arrives and saves me." He snarled, gritting his teeth and exclaiming furiously.

I stopped laughing when I realized they were all staring at me like I was insane, but the others didn't say anything because they were too terrified. "You are so dumb," I said flatly, my look inscrutable. "How long have you been with them?" I demanded, lifting an eyebrow.

Again, he believed it was unimportant, so he responded immediately. "Almost four years. I was already 6 months in the group when I was asked to work for them-" He replied monotonously, staring at the seven boys who froze. "-so that was 3 years ago. I didn't even know i'll be doing this manager thingy with them for so long."

I hummed, but there seemed to be something missing: "When did you start doing that manager thing?" He stared at me as if it was a foolish question since how could he remember the date? But then he remembered because he knew he had celebrated the night he got hired. "Oh, September 12. I remembered because I celebrated that night, and it was with my ex-lover. It was our first year anniversary, so I know." He said, his eyes flashing with unknown emotion for a few seconds, but I did not pay attention.

That date was the day I abandoned him just so he could achieve his dreams.

MissAmazaynMissStylik Interview

Before we get started with the questions, would you mind introducing yourself  and telling us just a little about yourself?

Thank you again for having me. It’s a pleasure to have you interview me.

My name is Sammi and I’m 21 years old. I’ve been writing since I was about 15 and it’s something I truly love. I’m a massive fan of BTS and Namjoon is my bias. I love to make new friends but I’m a little shy in real life. I am also into a lot of idol games (Love Live School Idol Festival, Bang Dream!, Utapri Shining Live).

Q1: What kind of fan fiction do you write/ have you written?

A1: I started out writing One Direction fanfics and ended up branching out into a specific anime fandom (Yu-Gi-Oh). I mostly write a lot of romance and fluff. I’m currently trying my hand at a BTS AU.

Q2: What made you start writing fan fiction?

A2: I started writing fan fiction because I wanted to have a personal hobby. At the time, I felt like I wanted to challenge myself and try something new.

Q3: Were you scared to begin posting it online?

A3: Absolutely! I was terrified when I posted my first fanfic (which I have since deleted). I was only 15 when I started writing and it made me feel insecure at first.

Q4: Has writing fan fiction taught you anything? About writing? Reading? Something else?

A4: Writing fanfiction has taught me a lot. I’ve been writing for about six years now. It taught me to be more comfortable in my own skin and be myself. It showed me a path to my own style of writing. It helped me deal with my panic attacks and it made me find my own sense of happiness.

Q5: Do you ever want to be published in a professional capacity one day?

A5: Absolutely but I don’t think my writing will ever hit that level.

Q6: How you feel about the stigma surrounding fan fiction and fan fiction writers? Or, do you not feel any stigma at all?

A6: I feel like fan fiction writers get a bad rep. I’ve read so many amazing books by fan fic writers and it makes me wonder why people have that feeling inside of them.

Q7: Do you think that stigma is warranted? (Whether or not you have personally experience it?)

A7: Depends I guess. I mean I’m not speaking for everyone but people view these things differently. To each their own I guess.

Q8:  What’s your favorite piece of fan fiction you’ve ever written? Why?

A8: Probably my Namjoon AU. I’m not going to lie but I haven’t written a BTS fic before. The feeling of pouring my love for Namjoon and the other members makes my heart happy.

Q9:  What’s something you’ve never been asked but want to be?

A9: Who inspired you to write? It’s one question I’ve never been asked as a writer.

Q10: Do you write outside of fan fiction?

A10: I’ve tried but I wasn’t successful at it.

Q11: What site you (mainly) use to write fan fiction?

A11: Wattpad!

Q12: Why do you write fan fiction?

A12: I write fan fiction as a way to make a connection. As an author, I want to connect with the people around me. I love seeing the interactions between people who read my books. It makes me really happy.

Thank you again for interviewing me!

guksthighs Interview

I, the interviewer, typically don’t interrupt at the beginning of the interview, but Jess is legit one of my favorite fan fiction writers of all time and I’m so honored that she took the time to speak with me. Anyway, onto the interview!

First off, can you start off by introducing yourself (whatever name you feel comfortable using) and telling us a little bit about yourself?

I’m Jess, an eighteen year old writer from the UK! I’ve been writing for BTS for a year and a half but supported them since the Boy in Luv era! I stan all seven boys ( but lean towards my angel child Kim Namjoon ) and when I’m not writing or doing schoolwork I’m usually doing some sort of sports! Also I just wanted to say thank you so much for asking to interview me, it is only such an honour that I’d make the cut!

Q1: Why did you first begin writing fan fiction? A1: I’ve always loved writing and the easiest way to share it and get people to read your work is to write for a fandom - well that was my ideology in the beginning. In reality, what’s kept me writing are the messages I receive every now and then ( from people like you ) that make me feel like the luckiest person ever and like I’m doing a decent job at writing!

Q2: You mainly write imagines/ preferences, but you do have a few series and longer pieces on your page. Do you prefer to write in shorter forms? A2: When I first started out writing, rather embarrassingly, my aim was to grow a following on Tumblr so I posted daily for the first few months and because shorter forms are faster to write I was able to continue that and now I am able to balance my life and writing easier. I’d love to write longer pieces but I’d prefer to publish a smaller piece weekly than work on a huge project!

I also have a lot of started and unfinished pieces which is more of a reflection of me - I’ve always had a huge imagination and am always planning the next idea but I do intend to start posting longer pieces soon! Q3: Have you written fan fiction for other fandoms? And/or before starting your current account? A3: I have! My first ever fan fiction was One Direction ( it’s deleted now - thank god - and on looking back I’m ashamed to say I used a plot for original characters to try and garner more reads - it worked ). I have a wattpad account ( jeonsthighs ) where I’ve completed a 50 chapter Haikyuu piece called An Angel’s Wings. Last I checked it had 125,000 reads and in summary is about a deaf volleyball player who overcomes her self taught ideology that relying on others makes you weak. I’ve also written for other anime fandoms; Fairy Tail and Kuroko No Basket, so I guess you could call me versatile ~ Q4: Do you write anything outside the realm of fan fiction? A4: I write columns for my school newspaper and have the honour of having written an article that has been used in a newspaper!

I used to write stories in school on scrap pieces of paper that would be passed around the class as I wrote them which encouraged me to share it online to try and spread more happiness!

These days I tend not to write any fiction outside of fan fiction due to the amount of work I have but I’m hoping after my exams I’ll be able to juggle my account and work on some ideas I’ve had for a while! Q5: Were you scared to begin posting your work online? A5: Surprisingly no! I’ve always written as a form of stress relief and mindfulness as I’m able to channel any negative emotions into words. So I wasn’t too worried about no one noticing me and am still surprised at the size my account has grown to. The only thing that scares me these days is someone I know finding my account and confronting me about *some* of the more mature content I’ve posted. Q6: Has writing fan fiction taught you anything? About writing? Reading? Yourself? A6: Fan fiction has taught me not to hide away from myself and all of my emotions and thoughts which means I’ve been able to deal with my depression and anxiety in a way I wouldn’t have done before. Often I write characteristics that reflect myself, often without meaning to and upon looking back on my work I notice the resemblance. Writing has been the best and most helpful form of mindfulness and by participating in publishing Fan fiction I am able to connect with others! ( Even if it has given me unrealistic expectations for dating TT )

Q7: What’s your favorite piece you’ve ever written? A7: I’ve thought about this question a lot and come to the cheesiest conclusion ever, even so I stand by it. Every work I publish is my favourite, they all reflect different parts of myself and have different journeys and memories to me and others. I do however have a special place for Golden Boy, a Park Jimin piece because it was my first ever embarking on a journey to write 10,000 words. Q8: Do you notice any stigma surrounding fan fiction or fan fiction writers? A8: That we’re crazed fans or disgusting. I feel authors are criticised for using real people in their work - which was the scariest thing for me as I was moving from the realm of anime and literal characters to writing about real living and breathing humans. However, I use the boys as characters for my writing, I am aware that everything I do is imaginary and do not think it’s likely to come true ( which is one of the reasons I prefer writing crazy alternate universes over more realistic pieces ) Another top stigma is that fan fiction writers are not talented which is rather hurtful. Oh! Also that we’re all perverts and write fifty shades of grey style pieces ( I know there are accounts out there that are nothing like that ... just maybe not mine aha )

Q9: If so, how do you feel about this stigma?

A9: It doesn’t bother me particularly, instead of going on long winded rants that will be skipped by people who believe these I try and be active in changing that stigma ( apart from the smut cus a girls gotta sin ). I’ve started my author recommendations list to support smaller accounts who are just starting up which has had an amazing reception and results!

Q10: What’s something you’ve never been asked but want to be?

A10: Favourite book? Q11: Is Tumblr the site you prefer to post fan fic on? If so, why?

A11: Tumblr is my preferred site - to an extent. It is amazing for creating and talking to the blog family, as well as making friends. However, as I said earlier I’ve been in this fandom a long time and the recent surge of new fans has resulted in more arguments and fights that I don’t like seeing.

Q12: Do you ever want to be published in a professional capacity one day? A12: Yes! I’m hopefully going to university next year to study English Literature and hope to either go into journalism or publishing/editing. I’d love to be a published author but I’m happy to support others in accomplishing their dreams!

Thank you so much for interviewing me and letting me share my thoughts and journey as a BTS fan fiction writer! It’s an honour to be someone you wanted to interview and throughout the process you’ve been so kind ! I really would encourage everyone to try writing, whether it’s poetry, short drabbles or even thousands of words long chaptered pieces because you never know what your mind and imagination are capable of until you push them! Thank you again and happy reading!

Check out Jess’ amazing imagines and fan fiction on her Tumblr page guksthighs and on her Wattpad jeonsthighs! Once again, thank you, Jess!

Hello All!

So, I realized that while I’ve interviewed three different author’s y’all don’t know the person asking the questions! Allow me to introduce myself.

Hello! I’m Alyce! I’m a 21 year old university student and I’ve written fan fictions for many different fandoms over the years. It started with obscure TV shows from the ‘90s and then went to One Direction, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and 5 Seconds of Summer. I currently write BTS fan fiction on Wattpad. My account is FarFromSuga. (I also created a Tumblr account connected to my Wattpad account, so follow me there! FarFromSugaFanFic).

However, I want to keep the focus on the wonderful authors I interview. As someone who has been part of many fandoms and written fan fiction for various fandoms and in many genres, I noticed that people who write fan fiction often write just as well as published authors, or rather, those who simply aren’t writing fan fiction.

Yet, fan fiction is still not well respected (despite it being widely read by many different demographics including those of varying age, race, national origin, gender identity, sexuality, etc.). I started this project for one of my classes at university, but I also started it to interview people who write fan fiction with the hopes of appealing to those who don’t read and/or respect fan fiction, but also, provide a service for the fan fiction community that hasn’t otherwise been fulfilled.

I’ve seen projects like this take off in smaller forms within fan fiction communities or friend groups, but I want to give fan fiction readers a chance to get to know fan fiction authors.

I will probably continue this project even after my class ends. I’ve been enjoying it and the reception has been overwhelming positive. I’m so touched by the amount of love and kind people within the fan fiction community.

Feel free to message me if you’re interested in being interviewed, if you want to suggest someone for interview (please know that I will ask them, if they are uninterested I won’t push it further), and/or if you have any interesting questions for future interviews!

Also, feel free to ask me questions! I do want y’all to know me as well. You can do so through reblogging or messaging or however else (I’m new to Tumblr so I’m still figuring stuff out lol). If y’all really want maybe I’ll do a community interview of myself? However, like I said, I want to focus mainly on other authors!

Thank you!

Innocence

Innocence

Genre: Mafia AU, Angst, Fluff

Pairing: Namjoon/Reader

Warnings: violence, guns/gun violence, cursing, violence against women, home invasion

Synopsis: When you end up getting caught in the crossfire, you’re brought to the local mafia leader who promises to rehabilitate you. Although, falling in love you certainly wasn’t part of the plan.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"Shit, she's bleeding out," someone said from a few feet away.

"What? Who?"

"I don't know some random lady."

You moaned in pain as a pair of boots approached you and eventually, you could make out the fuzzy face of someone crouching over you. You couldn't tell where the pain was coming from, only that you felt it rippling through your body

"Fuck, Namjoon doesn't like when innocent people get hurt. We've gotta take her back with us."

"What? Isn't that just part of it? Innocent people get caught up in this shit all the time."

"Not the way Namjoon does it, come on, come grab her legs."

As one of the men looped his arms underneath your armpits, you felt one final jolt of pain that felt like it was ripping your body apart before everything went black.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"Is she going to live?" one of the men who'd brought you back asked.

"Yes, barely," Namjoon said, his face firm and his voice steadier than normal. "You're sure it wasn't one of your bullets?"

"All of our bullets were accounted for, sir."

Namjoon nodded. "If I find out either of you are lying, you know the consequences?"

Both men nodded in understanding.

The doctor emerged from the room where you were. "She's waking up, sir. I'll leave the rest to you. Call me if she starts showing any concerning signs."

Namjoon nodded and waved the doctor off and entered your room.

If it weren't for the drab gray appearance of the room, it would've looked like you were in a normal hospital room. An IV in your arm and white sheets pulled up to your chin. Your eyes were still closed, but your heart monitor was beginning to slowly pick up from it's near flat line when you'd arrived.

He pulled a stool from the corner of the room and sat next to your watching as your chest moved slowly up and down. The doctor had extracted the bullet and cleaned the blood from your skin and clothes. Your bloody jeans and sweatshirt had been washed and were folded on a table in the corner of the room. Your hair was still dirty, but the blood washed from its tips.

You looked younger than when he'd first seen you and it only made his chest ache. He had no idea who you were or what you had been doing in that part of town, but you certainly didn't deserve the bullet in your shoulder. It had nearly missed your collarbone and the important blood vessels, but you'd still lost enough blood to be anemic.

Your eyelids began to flutter and Namjoon sat still as he met them.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

You opened your eyes and were immediately met with a pair of unfamiliar brown ones.

"Hello," the man said. He sat with his elbows on his thighs and his hands clasped together.

Other than the fact that you had no idea who the man was, the more concerning thing was that you had no idea where you were and you were seemingly alone with him. If you had to take a guess, the room almost seemed like a storage room of some sort; a cement floor and shelves lining all but two of the walls. They were mostly empty except for vague medical supplies.

"Where am I?" you asked, the beep of your heart monitor beginning to quicken.

"You're safe." The man sat up straighter, but his eyes never left you. "I'm Kim Namjoon. What's your name?"

You eyed him suspiciously. "Y/N."

"Just Y/N," he asked, his eyebrow arching.

"For now."

He chuckled before getting up and heading for a sink in the corner of the room. He filled a glass and walked back over to you with a pill in his hand.

"Take this," he said, placing the pill in your palm and holding the glass above you for when you were ready. You stared at him for a moment before glancing down at the pill. It looked normal and based upon the fact that this man was most likely the one responsible for saving your life, he would have no reason to kill you now, right? "It's an iron supplement. Cause you lost so much blood. You'll have to take them every day for a couple months."

You nodded and placed the pill in your mouth and swallowed it down. There was a feeling in the pit of your stomach that you could trust Namjoon, at least that he wouldn't kill you.

"Now, I need you to tell me everything you remember from the night you were shot."

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

You were on your way home after work. You'd just graduated and started in an entry-level position at your dream company, but it left you exhausted and overworked. It was already nearly 11 and you knew you should've allowed your co-worker to drive you home, but you didn't know him well enough yet to trust him with where you lived.

You normally felt fairly safe walking through the city by yourself. You'd grown up there and you knew the areas to avoid, but you were tired and decided to take a short cut through a rougher neighborhood.

You took out your headphones and increased your pace so that you were walking faster than your normal pace, but wouldn't look too scared or suspicious.

For the first ten minutes, everything was normal, but as you neared the end of the neighborhood and the beginning of yours, you heard yelling. You looked around and couldn't find a source, so you kept walking and as you crossed an alleyway, a man ran into you, knocking off your feet.

You sat up, your vision a little blurry and your head still coming off its daze. As your vision came back, you stood up and braced yourself against the wall. That's when you looked up and the shot came. You couldn't see who shot you, if they meant to, or if it was just an accident. Heck, you couldn't even tell which direction the bullet came from.

You fell to your knees and eventually on your back. At first, the pain was unbearable, you felt the blood pouring out of your shoulder, although couldn't tell if it was from the back or front. But, eventually, the pain ceased and your eyelids began to feel heavy. It was soon after the man lifted you that a final burst of pain caused everything to go black.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"You don't know who shot you?" he asked. The darkness in his eyes as he asked the question caused the pain in your shoulder to flare.

You shook your head. "It happened too fast."

He nodded, before getting up and leaving the room without another word. You then only saw strangers as they came to give you meals or check your wound which still had a long way to heal.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"Morning," Namjoon said, in the exact same cadence he said it every morning. He laid a tray over your lap which had a spinach and cheese omelet, toast, and a rotating menu of meats. Today was two slices of bacon. And, of course, on the side was a pair of iron supplements.

"Think you can eat it all today?" he asked. While you needed the nutrients, you had basically no appetite most of the time, but today, the toast was spread with a red jam it usually wasn't, which made you bite into it immediately. Raspberries. Your favorite. "Why don't you tell me about your job today?"

He pulled a chair to your bed and flipped it around and sat on it backward, allowing his arms to dangle off the top. The two of you had promised to tell each other something about each other each day. You knew it was a way to get information out of you and monitor your well being, but you didn't really mind. It started to become one of your favorite parts of the day.

"I'll tell you about mine if you tell me about yours."

He stiffened at that. You had your suspicions that Namjoon's job was less than legal considering how you ended up meeting him. You just weren't sure exactly what it was he did. Was he some sort of drug lord? A gang member? A pimp? Your stomach turned at the possibilities.

"Okay," he said. "You just have to promise that you won't be scared of me."

"O-okay."

He nodded, although you knew he caught the shaking in your voice. "You first."

"I—uh—I work for a non-profit that benefits women who have been victims of violence," you said. "I help process all the donations and make sure all the finances match up. I was an accounting major in college, but I didn't really feel like doing other people's taxes for the rest of my life. I want to feel like I'm making some sort of difference. Even though I don't make as much money, I feel like it's worth it."

"You are," he said. "You are making a difference."

Silence filled the room for a few moments, but it wasn't awkward or tense, it was simply you and Namjoon in your own thoughts. His eyes locked on you and your eyes unconsciously noticed the dimples on his cheeks that appeared and disappeared as he talked.

"All right, you promised," you said. "Your turn."

Namjoon's posture straightened and he cleared his throat. "Oh, well, I'm sort of the leader of the local mafia. I mean, it's not quite as nefarious as it seems. It's mostly just money laundering and stuff like that."

"But, you still kill people?"

"I never have. My men do only when necessary."

You gulped and pulled your eyes away from him. "Then, why did you save me?"

"Because I don't like innocent people getting hurt."

"How did this happen? How did you become the leader? You--you just don't seem like the type."

"My family," he said. "They kind of started this whole thing. I went to college and everything, but ultimately, I didn't know how to be anything else."

"You know you could always leave it behind. You're the leader. You could end all of this."

"It's not that easy. If I end it, I immediately become a target or someone would start it back up. And, let's just say, you don't want this kind of operation falling into the wrong hands. Many wouldn't have batted an eye at you getting shot."

"Don't think you're the hero here. Whether or not it was your men who shot me, whether or not you chose to save me, I still got shot because of you."

Namjoon's jaw stiffened and he crossed his arms over his chest. "You're right, I'm sorry," he said. "Although, it's not quite as easy to just leave."

"What did you study in college?"

"Huh?" He paused. "Literature and Writing."

You smiled. "Why don't you read to me?" you asked. "I never really got to take any literature classes in college and I missed them. I still have longer to recover. You could read to me whenever you wanted to."

"I'd like that," Namjoon said, his dimples appearing and lighting up his face.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

You laid back with your head and neck pressing back against the pillow as you closed your eyes as Namjoon's voiced lulled you asleep. You knew it wasn't just his voice and the way his voice took on a smooth rhythm as he read or the way his voice grew hoarse eventually. The doctor had slowly been weaning you off of the painkillers, while the pain wasn't as intense as before, it still exhausted you.

He was reading from Jane Eyre a book you certainly hadn't expected Namjoon to choose. The gothic element was enough to send shivers down your spine, but not keep you from falling asleep.

You were halfway through the book now and you knew you would never finish. Your condition was improving and you barely needed pain medication anymore. The doctor came once a day and today he had told you that he thought you'd be able to go back to your own apartment and life the next day.

Namjoon stopped reading and it jolted you out of your half-slumber.

"Why'd you stop?"

"I thought you were asleep."

You opened your eyes and shook your head, although your eyelids were only half open crescent moons and the way you were forcing them open made Namjoon chuckle.

"You're tired, anyway," he said. He closed the book and stood up from his chair. "Goodnight. Sleep well."

You watched as Namjoon walked towards the door and felt something in your chest. "Wait," you said. "This is the last night and we haven't finished the story."

"Y/N, we still have half the book left. There's no way--"

"Just stay with me tonight," you said. "I'll have to go back to being in my apartment all alone tomorrow and I don't know. I've enjoyed having you around."

"Y/N--" Namjoon said. "You're just--this isn't right--"

Namjoon's eyes met yours for a second before he ripped them away and walked out of the room with the book still in hand.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"She--she asked me to stay with her," Namjoon said. He sat in his desk chair with his feet resting up on the desk, something he only did when he was thinking deeply.

"Is that a bad thing?" his right-hand man, Yoongi asked. "You like her, right?"

"Yes, but Yoongi, she hasn't been out of that room for weeks. She's only seen me and the doctor with only a couple of exceptions. It's just Stockholm Syndrome."

"We didn't kidnap her though. She could've left if she wanted."

"Yes, Yoongi, but why would she? She would've had to pay for medical care elsewhere. Even if we didn't mean to, we trapped her here. She's hardly seen anyone but me. Of course, she'll become attached."

"It's not like you were torturing her, Joon. You were helping her and I see the way you look at her too. Everyone does."

"If I wanted to, I can't give her the life she deserves. She's doing good things, Yoongi. She's innocent and I want her to stay that way." Yoongi nodded in his head in understanding, but there lingered a small glint of hesitation in his eyes. "And, even if I could, keeping her around her is dangerous. If our rivals found out about her, she'd become a target."

Namjoon sighed and stood up from his desk and shuffled through his papers. "Make sure she gets home safely tomorrow. Keep a couple of men in the area for the next week or so just in case it was a targeted attack."

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"He's not coming?" you asked the man who introduced himself as Yoongi.

He shook his head and gave you a sympathetic look. "But, he did want me to give you this."

Yoongi reached into his bag and pulled out the copy of Jane Eyre Namjoon had read to you. It was an old copy--at least fifty years old--and he had a bookmark stuck halfway through. You opened to the marked page and found his handwriting on the bookmark. He wrote in black ink. It was neat, although smudged around the edges because he'd closed the book on it when the ink was still wet.

It's your turn to read now Namjoon x

Your eyes focused down on the 'x'. It certainly didn't mean anything, it was just his way of signing off, but it left you satisfied as you walked out of the door escorted by Yoongi and a few other men.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

3 months later

"Y/N!" one of your coworkers said, rushing into your office. "You're never going to believe this."

"What?" you asked looking up from your work.

"Some guy just came in here. He was so handsome and wearing a fancy suit and he wrote us a thirty thousand dollar check." She held up the check so you could see it.

"No way," you said, grabbing the check from her hands. You held it up to the light and placed it under the black light you had to verify authentic donations. You had a weird feeling in your gut and you glanced down at the signature on the check. You couldn't make out a particular name, but a shiver ran down your spine. "What was his name?"

"Oh, well, I don't think he told us his real name. But, you know the rich types, always wanting to protect their identities."

"Y/C/N, what. was. his. name?"

"Mr. Rochester."

6 months later

"We're a bit short his month, Y/N," your boss said. "You know I hate to deduct from wages. It wasn't much this month."

You nodded. It was the reality of working for a non-profit. Sometimes you got paid and sometimes you didn't, but you knew the money was going to people more deserving of yourself. You waited until you were on your way home to open the envelope and see just how much you were getting that month. When your eyes met the total, you slowly looked down before continuing onto your apartment.

You pushed the key into the lock wondering just how you were going to scrounge up enough money for next month's rent. You could always sell something or do some odd jobs on the weekends. You opened your door and stepped inside feeling your foot slip forward, causing you to nearly trip, your only savior is your right hand was still holding on to the doorknob.

You got your footing and bent down to find a small envelope that was slid under your door. Your name was printed neatly on it. Normally, this would freak you out, but you noticed the same black ink from the bookmark in the copy of Jane Eyre.

I know money has been tight. Here's rent for the next couple months. Keep doing what's important x Mr. Rochester

Tears came to your eyes and your bit your index finger as you read the note over and over again. He was absolutely insufferable and part of you wanted to rip up the check, but instead, you slipped it out of the envelope and into your purse.

9 months later

It was a quiet Saturday night when you heard the knock at your door. It was nearly 11 pm and you weren't expecting anyone. You were already in your pajamas and you had picked up Jane Eyre for the first time in a few months. It wasn't that you found it particularly hard to read, but every time you picked it up, you were reminded of him. The man you had no idea why you still thought about. The man who occasionally came into your life and then left just as quickly.

The knock came again and louder this time. This time panic rushed down your spine and you froze. Was it best to approach the door and give away the fact you weren't asleep? Or was it best to just act like you'd already done to bed and hope they go away?

You stayed put, but clutched your cellphone close to you. Another knock never came, but instead the rustling of the doorknob and the clicking of the lock. It was when you heard it successfully unlock that you ran towards the kitchen. You grabbed your largest kitchen knife and crouched in the corner.

You were in the middle of dialing emergency services when you were yanked up by your hair and your cellphone went clattering to the floor.

"Ah, yes, you are her," the man said.

You didn't recognize the man in front of you. He was taller than you and held your hair in a tightening grip that caused you to whimper.

"You're plainer than I expected. He's head over heels for you, so I figured you must be beautiful. But, I guess, you must have better things to offer." He smirked, but unlike the smirks Namjoon sometimes let slip, this one terrified you.

"Who are you?" you asked.

"It doesn't matter to you baby girl," he said. "All you need to know is that you're going to die."

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"Namjoon!" Yoongi said, running into the room, breathless. His face was red and his eyes were creased, almost in fear. It was uncommon for Yoongi to get so worked up, let alone run. He spoke when he finally caught his breath, "Min-sung," he said. "Min-sung was seen near her apartment."

Min-sung had once been a trusted man, but he began getting greedy. Wanting to take all the jobs. Skimming money off the top. He felt betrayed when Namjoon finally let him go. You'd think he'd be grateful, most other bosses would've had him killed for how much money he stole, but no. Min-sung's mind was only focused on the drugs he took and the money he needed to buy them.

Namjoon's eyes widened. He pulled open his desk drawer, nearly pulling the entire drawer out of it's setting. He pulled out a handgun and fed in the clip. It had not once been fired. Namjoon had never had the urge nor the need to kill, until that very moment.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"I'm going to play with you," he said. "To let him know you suffered. His precious little secret on the south side of the city."

"Please, I don't know who you're talking about. The walls are thin. I'm sure the neighbors are worried by now." Both were lies, but you hoped it came off convincing enough. He'd let go of your hair, but now he straddled you.

"Tell me, how do you want to die?"

"I don't want to die."

He laughed. "Of course not, sweetheart. But, you're going to. I'm being generous and giving you a choice. I could take that knife you had when I came in and stab you or I could kill you with my hands on your throat. Or, I could hold your head down in the bathtub and watch as you writhe around--"

Tears pushed out of your eyes and you felt blood sprout from your bottom lip as you dug into it. You squirmed underneath the man trying to wriggle yourself free or one of your limbs free.

"You know, I haven't really given much thought to dying," you said. You slowly slipped your foot upwards until you had enough leverage to bring your knee into his crotch.

He doubled over in enough pain for you to free yourself. You ran back towards the kitchen to grab the knife from earlier. You wrapped your palm around the hilt, but he was behind you before you could turn around. With all your might, you forced the knife backward, but it was at an awkward angle. Yet, you still heard him wince.

The knife dropped from your hand and the man turned you around, forcing your back against the counter. You noticed a long cut on his arm and felt a small sense of pride. At least if he was going to kill you, he would have a scar.

His hands wrapped around your neck and his thumbs sat right on top of your windpipe. You made eye contact with him as he pushed down and you made a small croaking sound as your eyes grew wider and your toes pointed in reaction to the lack of air.

"Stop...please...help...Namjoon..."

You managed only a few words before you ran out of air to manage any sounds. Your vision was beginning to blur and you knew in a few seconds you'd black out and it'd be the end.

The last few moments were so loud you couldn't make out what happened. Yelling, shuffling, a slam of a door, a loud pop. Then, it was all over.

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

"Y/N, Y/N, please come back to me."

You opened your eyes to see Namjoon crouched over you. Blood stained his shirt and even parts of his skin, but his hand was clean as it caressed your cheek softly.

"Thank God," he said. "I thought I was too late. The doctor is on his way and so are my men to clean up everything. We'll pay off the neighbors to keep things quiet if we have to. You don't need to worry."

"I'm not worried, Namjoon." Your voice was hoarse and still not all the way there. You felt the bruises forming on your neck and your entire body ached. You turned you head to see your attacker laying in a pool of blood a few feet away.

"Hey, hey, don't look at that. Come on."

"I'm not a child."

"That doesn't mean you need to see a dead guy on your kitchen floor."

He lifted you up and carried you into your bedroom. After setting you down, he went back out to the living area and grabbed the copy of Jane Eyre.

"You didn't get very far."

"I've been busy."

﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤

1 year later

Namjoon is almost done setting up everything in his new office when he hears a soft knock at the door. A delivery person carrying a large bouquet of flowers strides in and sets the vase on his desk and left without a word.

Curious, Namjoon walked from the corner of the room where he had been shelving books and to the center of the room. He plucked the card from among the flower heads.

I finally found time to finish the book. Congrats on the new job. Let's meet soon. Love, Jane

Updates and Other Blog.

Hi guys! I am so very sorry I ghosted recently. I’ve been really busy with life in general and the HYYH theories have been in my draft for a while. I’ve also been busy with writing fics. (That is why my pseudoname is Theory Tales-- I make theories and fics. This is my attempt on practicing my analytical writing as well as creative writing).

If you’re interested in reading fics, I just created another blog to share them. Please follow theorytalestelltales! The fics I write are more for older audiences since I am a grad student. I also write with a mindset that would make the fic a potential book since I am inspired by academic literature. The covers and art on there are also digitally painted by me. You can see where my time has gone to lol.

And don’t worry, I will still post a blog right away whenever BigHit drops something for the upcoming comeback! I genuinely hope ya’ll are doing well!

Drabble 01/05/2022

My 4 Random Words:

relief

acceptance

sea

expertise

"So, you're telling me -"

"This is your SEA of expertise!" The laughter that followed was met by your shaking head. Did he just laugh at his own joke? Was it really a joke though?

"I... I don't think-" you start.

Jin wipes his eyes and waves away what you were trying to say. "It counts. You understand, it's allll good. Now," he says as he claps his hands together excitedly and rubs them, "we can get down to business!"

You shake your head, the small smile of acceptance trying to pop out. You really did enjoy being paired up with Jin. He had his moments of brilliance that others didn't appreciate. He was an excellent partner.

"Okay, how much do you remember about 'The Little Mermaid,'" you started, as you grabbed one of your older notebooks that you had used to jot information and details in.

"That it has a sad ending," he answered immediately.

"Well, depends on how you see it," you state as you flip through the pages. "It could-"

"Wasn't it supposed to be some sort of religious type feel or meaning to it? I mean, point taken," he states, giving you a face that you knew all too well.

"Yah yah yah, but there is more here that we can use to locate the what really happened - what the truth is and not that ending that the fairy tale author gave it."

"Hans Christian Anderson," Jin stated. You looked at him once more. "The author that wrote the version you're thinking of. Hans Christian Anderson."

You gave him a look of relief. "Oh thank god! We've worked on the stories he has told before! So we know what to look for when he took his things into his own hands and spun the tale how he wanted it and broke off from the history!"

Jin looked proud. "Great place to start from! Now, share your notes of brilliance woman! We need to figure this out quickly!"

“Cursed” Main Preview

image

Disclaimer: The images from my header belong to BigHit and BTS, but I edited them together.

Age Recommendation: 18+

Warnings: Angst, alcohol consumption, light smut as in making out, BITING, sucking blood, Jimin being a vampy asshole.

Word Count: 810

Summary: Jimin has hired you as his new club’s bartender, and now he wants to see if you’re up for the job. You might be able to handle pouring and making drinks, but can you handle being the drink?

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

Jimin made himself comfortable on a stool. “Let’s take a break, shall we? Pour me a drink?”

“What would you like?” I asked, knowing he was actually testing me.

He hummed, tapping a finger to his chin like he was actually thinking about it. “How about a cojinganmek?” he said.

“Please. Give me a challenge,” I said, rolling my eyes. I quickly made the drink, set a napkin down, and presented it to him.

“Very nice,” he said, smiling once more. He downed the drink easily, dabbing at his mouth with the napkin once he was done.

“Want anything else?” I asked, not being serious. He did have to drive home, after all.

Jimin leaned over the counter, putting his chin in his hand delicately, eyeing me closely with amusement dancing in his eyes. “A kiss.”

I did a double-take, nearly dropping the glass I was holding. Jimin laughed outright, standing up. He placed a hand on the bar counter and vaulted over it easily, light and graceful. I stepped back, suddenly nervous. He came close anyway, placing a hand on either side of me, effectively trapping me with my back to the bar. “That’s what I want,” he said, his voice deepening. “Is that what you want?”

I opened my mouth but no words came out. He smelled so good, and he bit down on his bottom lip, making the offer doubly enticing. I couldn’t explain how he drew me in despite all my misgivings, but he’d managed to do it. I hadn’t been able to stop thinking about him since our non-date, and I’d secretly hoped he’d invite me out again. Sure, I’d play hard-to-get, but at least then I’d know it was for real and not some ploy. Either way, even if he wasn’t planning on sticking around, I still wanted him. Whatever I might have with Jimin might draw me out of my bitter shell and allow me to finally move on and start dating again.

Jimin leaned in, and I couldn’t help turning my head to the side, squeezing my eyes closed. “I won’t ask again, y/n,” he breathed into my ear. “Do you want this?”

All my resolve and logic screamed at me to say no, but I threw all of that out the window with one shaky syllable. “Y-Yes.”

Jimin let out a deep chuckle, the pride of victory dripping from his voice. “I knew you would.”

He turned and kissed my cheek, leaving feathery kisses along my face until he reached my lips, fully enveloping them with his own. He agonizingly took his time, feeling my mouth with his, drawing a palm upward to rest on my cheek. Impatient, I slipped my fingers through the belt loops on his pants and snapped his hips into mine, to which he groaned and grabbed my waist with both hands, squeezing tight. Suddenly he lifted me onto the counter and shoved his tongue into my mouth, tasting me from all angles. I wrapped my hands around his neck and my legs around his waist, tugging him as close as possible. We broke apart, panting, and I gasped as he started kissing my neck, going further and further down until he reached my sweet spot where my neck and shoulder connected.

I let out a moan. This was exactly what I needed. “Jimin, oh Jimin, that feels good,” I groaned incoherently.

He growled in response. “Agreed.”

Suddenly, I felt teeth on my skin, and he lightly nipped up and down my neck which I knew would blossom into small bruises later. “Careful,” I sighed, not wanting hickeys everywhere.

He didn’t stop, though. He bit at my sweet spot, hard, and sucked. “Jimin, wait, that kind of hurts,” I murmured, putting my hands on his chest and giving a light push. He didn’t budge, merely grunting in response.

His lips came apart from my skin with a pop, and I thought he was done, but then I felt something graze my skin once more before he bit down on my neck, hard. “Ouch!” I yelped, pushing him backward. Despite my use of force, his body didn’t give way, his hands around my waist firmly keeping me in place.

“Jimin, stop! Let go!” I cried out, feeling warm liquid drip down my neck. Slurping and sucking sounds were the only thing I got in response. Was he… drinking my blood? I cried out, struggling as hard as I could to no avail. I started feeling light-headed and nauseous as he continued feeding on me, gulping down my blood as if it were the most delicious thing in the world.

My vision started going spotty, and the last thing I saw before everything went black was him pulling back, gasping. Bloody, pointed fangs protruded from his mouth, the color matching his eyes which were now a deep, cold red.
