So, India is dying.
Look, I know a good number of you are from the US and things aren't amazing there either, but my country is literally on the brink of collapse. So I'd love it if we could talk about that for a minute.
If you can't do anything else, please just read and reblog.
A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The Central Government has thrown its hands up and is passing the baton to the State Governments to do what they can.
There are over 16 million covid cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported yesterday - comparable to the US at its peak. 187,000 dead as of today.
There is no plan.
Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die while waiting for a hospital bed, and then they're unable to give them the proper burial rights.
Hospitals are overwhelmed. Patients are being confined, two to a bed. They're the lucky ones.
We are on the verge of people dying in the streets.
This is the second-most populous country in the world. The largest democracy. A country that encapsulates over 15,000 years of recorded human history and has endured everything from famine to invasion to colonisation.
We might be at the end. This might be the thing that does us in.
People are dying.
People are dying.
People are dying and there is no plan.
More good news? Variants are popping up. A double mutation strain has shown up. It is resistant to current vaccines. This will not go away. This is the devastation they warned of when the anti-maskers were out protesting the minor inconvenience of covering their face in public.
My country is on the verge of an emergency state. Our government has failed us. This is as dire a situation as it ever could be.
Look. I don't do much with my life. I write fics, some of you have read them and that's pretty much it. I spend my days with my head in the clouds because that's where I like to be.
But two days ago, my grandmother tested positive, had to be taken to hospital and the ambulance caught fire.
She barely made it to the urgent care she needs.
So, here I am, using whatever meager platform I have to cobble this request together. Because I have to do something.

Sixth Classroom...
Three weeks just sitting in a library watching ELLs take the ACCESS test…
Oh great, Corona.
I’m banned from the school and go home.
Now, the school shuts down and the children seldom show.
I sit in my bedroom talking to the walls on Zoom.
YouTube stories…picture books and animations on environmental and wildlife conservation…
Stories lead to class discussions and simple assignments.
The edTPA is not going to happen.
Thankfully I don’t need it for institutional backing once I finally graduate.
Virtual classrooms where students are constantly interrupted by poor internet or having to watch younger siblings.
These kids are learning nothing yet being passed onto the next grade.
It’s such a disservice…
Seventh Classroom…
It was mostly in the library at first…
A pull out situation for English Language Learners…
Three and a half weeks were spent on ACCESS testing…
Two weeks were spent in the classroom…
Then BOOM: Pandemic…
There was no reason for me to stay at the Grad House so I left…
Well, I picked up UDairy Ice Cream and Ramen from Kumamoto in Newark, DE…
THEN I left…
So really, my seventh classroom was mostly on Zoom…
I did not end up doing the edTPA…
But I have a lesson, materials, and assessments set up to do so…
Cosmology of N’gaea, or What if Humans were the Virus?:
After Covid-19 eradicated all human life*, animals roamed Earth wild and free. #HumansAreTheVirus.
Suddenly a new mutation fell from the night-lit sky in the form of Circene, radiant green spores found in many grasslands and shrooms that latched onto the beasts from within thru lapping, brushing or grazing, physically altering their forms and altering their minds; they stood on their hind legs, produced human speech, gained intelligence. Some species have fully evolved to a human-like status with some of their features and now live like their former masters.
Three new class systems arose from these changes, namedso for the creatures of various literary figures containing animals in them andof how much Circene came into their systems: The Talkative Narnians from CS Lewis, the Housebroken Barbans of Brunhoff, and the Uplifted Mobians, namsake of the world which a speedy blue hedgehog hails.
However, another mutation branched out from the green spores. As Circene came from the nightshades bearing its name and in puffstool shrooms, a second type, Moly, sprouted about as did the Snowdrop flowers bearing the very same medicine Odysseus used to cure his crew and others from Circene’s curse. When taken in high doses, Moly would siphon any amount of Circene in an animals’ body and permanently erase their newfound lifestyle w/o taking cautionary measures. This dichotomy granted each species a choice to cross between the three classes.
Fun facts about N’Gaea:
- Civil licenses grant Narnians a freedom of transition via id collar or chip, allowing for certain privileges like finding jobs, affordable housing, and can choose whether or not to wear clothing in public,permitting they wear the collar, while Barbans can freely swap between feral & anthro forms by just how much clothing they wear (Zuzel the Fox). It does get awkward in changing rooms when you think a wild boar raided JC Penney in their birthday suit
- Adoption services grant similar privileges as a Civil license to both Barbans and Narnians while under supervision by a foster guardian, usually domestic animals, but don’t be too shocked if a bear lives in the same home as a nuclear family of deer adopted or as an in-law
- Certain diets had to be controlled, as predation upon any prey is illegal unless they were Narnian, or under a business like Herd Thinners or Dewclaw’s Fine Meats. You have to maintain some degree of natural order when they’re your boss, employee, or your mother.

the sad bit is that these people will instead be likely convinced of governmental incompetence and vote for further privatization
meanwhile the laid off workers will simply be rendered desperate enough to take anything, and what do you know the overstressed retail workers don't live up to company standard anymore
the only real delusion out of all this is the notion that something positive will come out of this crisis

Hey guys . If I won't make any chapter or I will write little bit in them . Cause me and my mom have Covid . My grandma in hospital . And sometimes my headache is killing me . You know . Some medicine , pills and etc. And because of it you can feel bad after you take multiple of them . I'll try my best .

the way that no one wears a mask at my local LGBTQ clinic, and in fact comments on my mask like it's just this hilarious little idiosyncrasy that I still wear one and not because I'm immunocompromised and we're in the middle of a pandemic ... as if there isn't an airborne virus that literally fucks up your immune system ... as if we didn't lose a generation of queer people to another virus that fucks up your immune system ...

Ok people I need some help and opinions
So I’m working on a small design project about women health, mental health, and menstrual healthcare for whomsoever, and the impact on these during quarantine.
Please hit me up if you’d like to talk, have any ideas, wanna tell how you deal with this, like anything and everything works.

I don't think enough Americans realize just how disastrous Covid was. Over 1 million Americans died in just 2 years. More people died from Covid then the fucking civil war and people seemingly don't give a shit. 1 million deaths. That's horrifying. We need to acknowledge how impactful this has been.
