Yep, I'm a Potter fan. Guilty as charged.
Carving this pumpkin was a monumental moment last year. For all his lamenting that I did not observe and facilitate "traditions", he was absolutely against me taking time for anything that was not "essential."
So on October 30, I was carving this guy up feeling morose as it had been days since he spoke to me. Then I had an epiphany.
I was getting satisfaction. My crafting skills are basically on par with a German Sheppard's, so the fact that this thing turned out alright was really encouraging. I was proud of it.
I remember thinking:
"I wouldn't have been allowed to do this if he was still talking to me ...."
And there it was. Something so small, so simple made me think that maybe this separation thing wasn't so bad after all.
Dude you are awesome....though we were getting constant calls from telemarketers and i answered with "Thank you for calling the city morgue how may i help you?" They kind of hung up immediately after that and they never called again....
every day the same telemarketing company calls us. I’ve asked to be taken off their calling list, I’ve tried to be civil, I’ve even tried to not answer the phone, yet they’ll keep calling. So now I’ve resorted to making the phones calls as annoying as possible for them.
Today I asked the person to hold while I got a pen and paper. As of now, they’ve been waiting 45 minutes.
Got my crafty on this weekend and made myself some magazine bowls. I used the visitor's guide from my recent trip to Ocean City, MD so they're a little memento of the trip. I really like how they turned out.
