Kimetsu no Yaiba / Demon Slayer (05.01)

Watching Demon Slayer season three, the swordsmith village arc. Muichiro with his memories back is a SARCASTIC LITTLE SHIT AND I LOVE HIM

How to forget the time Haganezuka used Conqueror's Haki when he got angry at Tanjiro for breaking the sword he forged for him for the first time.

Am I the only one who, when seeing Akaza using his demon blood technique, remembered Elsa using her powers to create her ice castle?

I don't know about you but the anger and despair Shinichiro felt at losing Mikey and all his family reminded me of Gyutaro when he lost Daki.

Although both grew up in different circumstances (Gyutaro was poor and Shinichiro came from a middle class family), the context remains the same (Shinichiro and Gyutaro are boys who don't have parents to take care of them and their siblings and have to assume the roles of parents for their younger siblings).

For them the most important thing was their brothers and they lost them in the worst possible way due to situations beyond their control (Daki dies burned alive for hurting a samurai who insulted Gyutaro and Mikey remains in a coma as a result of an accident and dies) that were indirectly caused by their actions (Gyutaro and Daki grew up in an environment where everyone mistreated them and Daki learns to attack against anyone who mistreats them and Gyutaro never taught her anything else and he encouraged this aggressive behavior and Shinichiro gives Mikey the toy plane that would trigger the chain of events that would lead to his death).

Both Shinichiro and Gyutaro were so desperate that they were willing to accept almost unreal methods if it meant saving their siblings (Gyutaro accepting Douma's offer and both he and Daki becomes demons and Shinichiro wanting to travel back in time to save Mikey). Also, Shinichiro and Gyutaro kill someone before getting their powers and "die" to gain said powers to save their siblings (Gyutaro and Shinichiro's death is metaphorical because they die as humans but are reborn as something else, Gyutaro becomes a demon and Shinichiro becomes a time traveler) but this power affects their brothers in a negative way (Daki is turns into a demon and devours beautiful women as well as helps Gyutaro kill Hashiras and Mikey develops dark impulses as a product of Shinichiro's time travel).

Basically Gyutaro and Shinichiro tried to save their siblings but ended up dooming themselves and their siblings in the process.

what if there were two protagonists in a story?

i mean alternating povs exist but like

okay for example theres two friends (probably seperated in two different books but are together as like a set)

Person A is doing stuff. Getting in trouble and whatever plot reason there is. But another time, their friend Person B is out of school sick, which huh, is odd.

Meanwhile in Person B's book, they encountered stuff to, got hurt, and generally not feeling well so taking an off day.

id imagine itd get very annoying to read though cause its either. you read one book then read the next. OR read them with each other? Like there'd have to be a way to determine what time it is of course so we can generally get a timeline of who was where and doing what during then

but id imagine itd get pretty cool. and theres like a moment of 'wait. youre involved in this too!???'

and theyve just never known (would be funnier if there would be moments where one was so close to getting caught by the other, like. being in the same place but doing their own thing. and so close to noticing but just not??)

Watching episode 9 of the Swordsmith Village Arc and I love how savage Muichiro was!

She is so a magical girl/shojo/shoujo character trapped in a shonen/shounen.

Tengen likes to paint. Typically he likes painting portraits of his wives, and he keeps them in a room in his basement. He hadn't often had the time to paint, but after retirement he found more time for it and his portraits quickly grew in quality. He keeps one painting of each wife in his their bedroom, and whenever he finishes a new one, he updates it. Now, his paintings aren't super realistic, as he is missing an eye and arm and his depth perception is not what it used to be, but every one is made with love
