So Lloyd can see the good in Harumi but not the good in Garmadon???
It’s kinda weird Lloyd keeps attempting to persuade Harumi to change, even though she’s firm on staying evil, yet he keeps telling Garmadon he can’t change, even when his father is at least trying to. It makes it all the more hilarious, in a way, how Lloyd can be so oblivious about the smallest things.
Imagine Garmadon visiting the monestary and he meets Morro, and even though Morro’s shy at first, they begin to get along really well. Garmadon talks and tells Morro silly stories of his and Wu’s childhood, and Morro says how he’s training to be a ninja and Garmadon teaches him a few tricks and they look at old pictures or make their favorite meals, etcetera, and Garmadon becomes a father figure to him (alongside Wu), and they both laugh and enjoy the visits so Garmadon comes regularly.
And then there’s Wu, watching at the side with a soft smile and tears in his eyes, because he is so happy his son and brother are bonding like they are, but so devastated because he doesn’t dare tell them Morro is training to specifically become the green ninja, or that Garmadon is the one that he’ll (supposedly) be fighting to determine the fate of all of Ninjago, (seen as Wu thought Morro was the green ninja at the time, and assuming he knew about the venom’s effect,) but he doesn’t want to ruin the moment so he just walks away with a heavy heart, wishing destiny didn’t have to take his family away.
The final battle would be much more heartbreaking once they each realize who they’re up against if Morro did turn out to be the green ninja
I wonder, seen as Lloyd’s father is Garmadon, do any of the other kids in Darkley’s have really evil roots as well? Not just your average thief or something, like, Skylor could have gone there for all we know. (Before she turned good. Then again, another example of the school failing to educate someone into turning evil.) How many villains has that school actually created? Lol

Lloyd: In our defense, you shouldn't have left us alone in a flammable place, especially since I'm still learning my Oni powers.
Garmadon: And it didn't take an hour.
Yes, what they did to Zane is terrible, but I don't think anything pisses me off as much as what they did to Garmadon.
In the series, his story was wonderful, why did he have to be evil, how he wanted to fight it for his family and how much he cared for his son that even when the Overlord took over his body he tried to fight it, and in the movie it is simply an insult to his entire character, honestly, in my opinion it is just a spit in the face of the fans of this character.
Okay, can someone explain to me what people see in LEGO Ninjago the movie, because this movie really irritated the hell out of me, like it was made really well, but like these jokes, ok I have to admit some of them are good but all the characters seem so goofy and maybe it's just me but it really pisses me off considering the source material on which the film was based, in my opinion it is wasted potential.
And I really think that Lloyd's character is too "emo" or sad in general, because in the movie Lloyd is like "oh no, the whole town hates me because of my father, and I'm sad and everything", and Lloyd in the show is like "so I'm a green ninja which means I have to face my father and possibly kill him, well I hate it but I have to live with it because this is my destiny" and all this at the age of about 10-13, and this brat from the movie is 16-17 and fucking can't accept the fact that people don't like him, but he has a group of friends who support him and he still feels sorry for himself, this movie really pisses me off.
Okay, now I see that maybe I really don't like this movie too much, but really all the characters are so exaggerated and it pisses me off, considering that the series is much better.
Does anybody else just give up on trying to figure out if Garmadon’s first name is Garmadon or his last name is and just decide he’s Garmadon Garmadon or is that just me
Uhhh AU where the only ppl who knew Lloyd was working towards Oni form were Lloyd and Garmadon and basically someone sees him in Oni form and tells the ninja so now everyone thinks there’s a random Oni on the loose but it’s just. Lloyd.
And because I’m here for the chaos why don’t we also give him control issues so there’s more than one Oni Lloyd sighting

So, one of the best ways to watch/rewatch the movie is frame-by-frame (or at least, slow-mo). The movie is actually super pretty, especially the set design. And, in classic lego movie style, all smear frames usually use lego pieces, which makes some very fluid and smooth quick-action.
But when you slow it down, coupled with the fact The LEGO Ninjago Movie is a little... loose with rules-
You get the most hilarious freeze frames and expressions. Which I naturally screenshot-ed to share with all of you today, first because I was bored and it sounded fun, then because I was laughing my head off.
So, below are frames from specifically that promo video (the quality is a little fuzzy which honestly just makes it even funnier)- and one day I’ll start posting some of the screenshots I found from the movie itself, once I actually organize that folder because I keep finding new ones.
