Tartaglia: The quickest way to a man’s heart is through the fourth and fifth rib
Paimon: your smug self assuredness is revolting
Childe: i think we need to validate self confidence more, lest you end up angry at others for having even a sliver of it. i did nothing wrong and i have a heart of gold
Traveler: i think this message is extremely valid but also childe has tried to drown liyue so what’s the truth
Childe: i was so close too

Childe: i meant help you go missing under mysterious circumstances

gifts for some friends, i really don't like genshin but it works as practice out of my comfort zone instead of just drawing british men over and over again
I just finished the centre of the Fontaine archon quest and I’m sobbing.
Spoilers under the cut ->
I’m so relieved that they didn’t kill off Furina.. it really looked like it was going there and I was devastated. She’s one of my favourite characters after all!
It was so interesting that they took the route of making Neuvillette the new leader for Fontaine and gave him his full powers back. (My boy! :>)
Also I loved the short little scene of Childe fighting the “eat everything narwal” as I’m referring to it as. Much like the whale, i will eat up any and all Childe content <3 (This stupid ginger if fighting with Itto for the spot as my fav character)
Also Skirk! She straight up yeeted Childe back into the abyss and then insulted him. Like ??? Slay ig?

Pov: You are hiding under their desk
Author’s note: Dear Archons, please give me Diluc. Thank you.

Diluc:
• It was later in the evening before Diluc finally made it back to the Dawn Winery. He trudged through his office, his limbs heavy with exhaustion. The sight of the documents stacked neatly upon his desk made the pulse in his temple intensify. Nevertheless, he pulls the cushioned chair out and sits down in a hunched fashion. He plucks the quill from its stupor, before gazing along the first set of words before him. A few minutes pass with him scribbling away, the relaxing sound of the fireplace crackling away easing his tense stature. His pen then freezes as the side of his pant’s leg is pulled. His ruby eyes narrow and he leans back, just to catch sight of two (E/C) ones looking up at him from underneath the desk.
• “You’re supposed to be asleep,” He sternly remarks, “How did you get in here?”
• The young child frowns and tucks themselves further away from Diluc’s legs. “I’m sorry, Master Diluc. I was worried something happened and couldn’t sleep…” They answer in a shy voice, “I wanted to make sure you were okay, so I waited for you to come back from town.”
• Diluc huffs in response to their explanation, but his hard stare softens as the child yawns. “You should get to bed. You have schooling to do tomorrow.”
• “Oh, but… can’t I stay up with you a little longer? Please?”
• A sigh escapes the Ragnvindr before he picks the child off the ground and sets them on his lap. “Only for a little while,” He replies. He does nothing to stop them from closing their eyes though, and a ghost of a smile settles on his face as they rest their head against his shoulder.

Kaeya:
• If the Calvary Captain is not seen loitering about the streets of Mondstat or having a few drinks at the tavern, he was most likely in his office. A miserable groan is let out as the cryo user thinks about it so as he flips through the new guidebook made by Grand Master Jean. It was an awfully boring day for Kaeya, and though the sun lit the room in a beautiful golden color, he silently wished for it to go down faster. He’s been in here for way too long, he thinks; he’s wasting precious time away by skimming through rules that don’t even apply to him. He shuts the book with a loud THUNK before staring up at the ceiling. Lost in his own thoughts, he was quite surprised when a blunt force grabs a hold of his leg. A chuckle heaves out of him as he grabs the source from underneath his desk. His gloved hands dance across their torso and giggles erupts suddenly.
• “Stop! Stop!” The child begs as they cradle themselves in his lap. He gives into their commands, his fingers nestling in their (H/C) hair.
• “How long were you down there, little ankle bitter?” He asks with a smirk upon his face.
• “Captain Kaeya! You always say to take advantage of your opponent’s position. So, I waited for you to relax before going in for the kill! I waited patiently, then BAM! I got ya, didn’t I? Aren’t you proud of me?”
• “I am very proud of you, (Y/N), but next time, maybe don’t try to bite my foot off, hm?”
• “You got it, Captain Kaeya!”

Childe:
• The 11th Harbinger had to stop himself from grabbing on to his assistance's neck as she follows him down the hallway to his office. Childe could feel his frustration bubbling in his gut, and it took every ounce of his being not to snap at the poor woman. “I’m well aware of the position we are currently in with this withdrawal. I will come up with a solution as soon as I can.”
• “Sir, the deadline is coming up fairly quickly. Don’t you think we should take that into accountability?” She politely responds.
• Childe’s hold on the doorknob tightens greatly and the buzz of bloodshed soaks into every nerve. As his gaze looks upon the Fatui agent, her whole-body cradles into itself. “I will get to it when I’m ready,” He announces coolly before slamming the door.
• He collapses into his chair, his fingers pulling harshly at his hair. He lets out a sigh as he thinks through the options available as of now.
• “Aj…” A whisper calls for him under the desk, “Are you okay?”
• “Angel cakes,” the man answers with slight shock, “What are you doing down there?”
• “I heard yelling and got scared…”
• “Oh, I’m sorry. There is nothing to fear though. Why don’t you come out?”
• “There are no bad guys, right?”
• “Right.”
• Childe coaxes them out from hiding and settles them into his lap. The feeling of anger that was present before slowly but surely disappears as he hugs the little human. “Don’t you worry, (Y/N). No bad guys will ever get to you while I’m here. That’s a promise.”
