it's very interesting how silco kisses the strap that is holding jinx down and not her own head or face. even though he loves jinx he doesn't love powder (or is indifferent to her)

this scene really opened my eyes about how silco thinks about jinx, as long as jinx stays; silco is a happy father. i think it also comes from the fact that it was them against the world and now if jinx is gone, it'll be just him against the world.

Vander may have taken in both girls, but he was the father that Vi needed. Willing to teach her how to be a leader, and to make the hard decisions for fighting what you want vs. what is right.

Silco was the father that Jinx needed. Someone who understood her trauma and was willing to accept that and teach her how to learn from it. Someone who accepted her for who she is instead of who people wanted her to be.

do you think jinx has some awareness that silco hates vi? (she would definitely figure out vi hates silco for obvious reasons)

I think jinx has extreme awareness of how much silco hates vi because honestly I think he would have told her. he seems like one of these men who think they are an enigma and no one knows how they struggle inside but the way they act makes their emotional turmoil extremely obvious to everybody. he wouldn't just say i fucking hate your sister tho because he's a snake. he would be like your sister reminds me of someone... you know headstrong or whatever and kind of angry and remember when he betrayed me and your sister betrayed you BTW. jinx is like vi was kind of good at cooking and silco is like you know what she excelled at, abandonment. yeah, remember that pain??

I think from how jinx interacts with vi you can kind of see that she has her own feelings about it - she doesn't react with anger to vis return initially, only once she sees caitlyn which from what I've observed is people's general reaction to caitlyn. but she seems so smothered in her feelings about it in her relationship to silco that I think there's just no room in their dynamic for any other feelings or opinions on vi (or vander) that aren't silcos. I think when codependency is discussed on social media, it's often reduced to just dependency but the reason it's a harmful pattern is because of this loss of identity. they bond strongly where they fit together but where jinx could grow apart from him, she has fostered this fear that it could lead to abandonment again - so she has little room for the person she actually is. though, I think the person she could be is actually a much worse person than she is now shsbbsjs like silco did fuck her up himself but he was also the last line of defence between jinx and the rest of the world so rip

The funny thing about Silco and Jinx is that they talk like belong in Piltover, they just don't have the accents for it. They both talk in speech patterns that are vaguely more anachronistic than the rest of Zaun's cast (and even some Piltovans) that's usually associated with eccentric rich families in media.

Silco goes into soliloquies worthy of the stage while Jinx easily whips out idioms that barely made it past the turn of the century. If you plopped these two in the upper class casts of an Agatha Christie novel they'd fit right in.

Jinx and Silco would be the cut-throat noveau riche dinner party guests that the readers immediately dismiss as the killers because they're too obviously murderous. No one at the dinner party actually likes them, because it turns out everyone including the host, the murder victim, and the murderer owes Silco money. The detective solved the mystery but can't save the party from Silco and Jinx.

crying over them is a crucial part of my daily routine

I often think about that scene of Sevika being soft and advising Silco about Jinx. I often think about the fact that she knew Powder before. I wonder if after Silco took her in, Sevika ever tied her shoes, watched her play, or picked her up when she fell. I wonder what it was like for Sevika to watch Silco destroy a little girl's sanity and know she couldn't do anything about it.
